Costa Coffee in Trafford

Used to work here, so not the best memories but Stephen on Saturday was great. He was always a standup guy and nice how great he is a team leader role.

Great costa lovely staff .The manager ben is a blessing to the place .Always polite and happy . One of the best costa's around 🤎

My favourite local coffee shop central to Timperley Village

Forgot my coffee, the whole point of me ordering this, didn’t even apologise about it.

Awful service this morning 1st September. I asked my son to get 3 drinks - his own chocolate ice drink which was fine, a watermelon smoothie and a frappe coffee. They provided a watermelon cooler and a hot coffee, nothing like what was ordered. I've effectively spent in excess of £10 on one drink! Shocking lack of knowledge. Will not be using this shop again. At least in Altrincham when the watermelon smoothie was not available I was offered 2 alternatives. Feel I should be offered a refund for the whole disappointing experience.

Didn't have food, went for a catch up with friends

Dropped my car at garage about a mile away and this was the nearest coffee shop. Staff were really helpful and efficient. Clean store with accessible access/parking, the parking is on the street but seemed to be spaces. Very busy store with mix of customers; bit too big and noisy if you're planning to work unless you have headphones. Toilets were clean. Coffee great.

Nice atmosphere , free car park near by . But the Cappuccino was very watery and the berry cooler had no ice in it and was just cold berry juice . For the price you expect everything to be spot on. It was hit today and the air con made huge difference .

Lovely clean cafe, I did not agree with the situation of having a code to use the toilet. Apparently, it was to deter people who were not using the cafe, using the toilet. Which I find quite mean, there are no public toilets available except for the pubs, which some people don't like entering into on their own.

The staff here are amazing. A special mention to Corinna who is always so friendly and helpful. Her natural happy vibe makes this the best Costa Coffee for miles around. We'll done Costa, a credit to the Timperley community

wrong item sent. coffee was tepid and iced coffee had cream on it which was yellow and lumpy. not good. waste of money and too expensive. sorry. won't order again

Very, very poor service here on Sunday 15th Oct. Walked into store to a small queue of around 6 people ahead of me, only a few seated customers but uncleared tables and a few disappointed customers awaiting orders. Once I'd waited over 15 minutes in the queue once at the front the guy behind the counter announced he was 'suspending' any other orders for drinks & food indefinitely as they were too busy & needed to catch up. When asked how long this may be the response was abrupt and no idea - hence I left & went elsewhere!! Take note, Cheadle store know how to keep up & are always polite even when busy!

Very friendly staff and usual standard of coffee

Service without a smile…took forever to get my drinks and it wasn’t even busy. Staff were unfriendly - drinks plonked down on the counter without a smile or even an acknowledgement that they were mine. One toilet was out of order and the other was disgusting. Won’t be going back.

Slowest coffee shop I have ever been..I live around the corner everything I pop in for a coffee. It's at least a 20min wait.

Drinks were cold when delivered and food was stone cold. Delivery time kept getting pushed back and back.....very poor.

The manager is really good and always friendly and will go the extra mile. Staff are generally good too. Sometimes issues with food being out of stock but that's the same in all Costas. Tables sometimes should be cleared faster but it depends on how busy they are. Never used the toilets here and unlike a lot of cafe chains, you don't get every desperate passer by using it as a public loo! Having a door code probably deters. Sometimes you have to queue a while. There's a few tables outside with the usual smokers. I look forwards to the day there's no smoking on the premises! One big problem is the frequency it's open only for takeaway. I've arranged to meet friends there, only to find we can't sit it. Really poor there's been an ongoing issue with staff absence or shortage. Overall it's a nice Costa branch. Recommended.

Missed items, freezing cold and no straws?Abysmal, as you describe, doesn’t cut it. I want the items and a full refund. The money for just the shortbread doesn’t meet any kind of customer service standard or bring back what should have been a nice brunch. Awful

Good coffee as to be expected from Costa. However, the seating isn’t always open and the staff aren’t always that friendly.

Good as Costa's go, big and spacious inside and is a pretty nice place to be. Best bit though is the Frank Sidebottom statue outside.

Staff are always friendly and helpful especially when unexpected situations happen and they end up short staffed. It’s such a shame that some customers can be so rude. The staff are trying to keep the place open even if it is just takeaway !!! The disgraceful mess that some customers leave the tables is totally unfair. Would you do that in your own home. Kids throwing rubbish on the floor from magazines, food dropped everywhere then expecting the staff to clean up!! Disgraceful. If you want a nice clean cafe, then help to keep it that way !!!!!!! The staff are only human

Always had exceptional service here. Even when it’s been really busy. Niamh in particular is brilliant. Always friendly and polite and makes brilliant coffee. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are great but shout out to Niamh in particular who even when faced with rude and difficult customers doesn’t lose her cool and remains professional

On Wednesday 29th March 2023 I went in to costa coffee and the two staff that were on at costa timperly was ran off there feet because there was only them two the seating area was closed and take out only which was understandable, there was a few customers that was rude and wouldn’t do take out and refused to move out of the cafe , the young lady had been shouted at by rude customers , the both staff have been amazing and kept the coffee shop open if that was me I would off closes, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, I go in every day I struggle in work and they are always lovely and make me smile

Visited today. Note on door said unable to sit in due to being short staffed but that was OK for us as we only wanted take out. The young girl who served us was lovely, chatty, informative and friendly. Coffee top notch

Staff here were brilliant! I'm a wheelchair user and they brought my drinks to the car for me, helped me with anything they could!

Timperley Costa Coffee is a little gem of a store. The staff are great and it's always clean and welcoming.

Wouldn't let me scan my Costa app, every other costa I've been to no issues, here staff confused.... Tables are dirty & not cleared or cleaned very often, with some having stacks of dirty mugs etc thaty takes up seating options.

Coffees are nice enough but the waiting times are always horrific if there is more than 3 people in the queue

Busy, ovens turned off 4pm so no food available except cakes

Quite possibly the worst coffee shop I've ever been to. The few times I've been there, every single time they're incredibly slow, don't cook the hot food properly so it's either undercooked or nuclear hot, and the place is just grubby and messy. Today, one of the servers filled up a jar of marshmallows, spilled most of them and then proceeded to scoop them up with her bare hands (along with whatever else was on the counter) and place them in the jar!

Pluses - good cappuccinos, nice staff. Minuses- noisy, often lots of parents with children; often long queues; today only paper cups. Why should I pay £3 plus for coffee in a paper cup? Not the only Costa where the dishwasher is broken. Where are the contracts for repair? This needs sorting out.

My large hot chocolate was a medium and was missing at least a 3rd of it. Not happy as a regular customer

Really excellent service and great atmosphere. Sue specifically helped clear a table that had been left an absolute mess by customers before so that I could sit there. So much so that it was spotless within seconds. The rest of the staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming

Dirty floor tables not cleared for ages so had to move stuff ourselves onto an empty table. Had to ask for our table to be cleaned. Not enough staff. Waited ages to be served.

It's great that Timperley has a good selection of coffee shops now. Costa has the best opening hours and you know what you will get. Service is a bit variable but was good last time I visited.

I always pre order via the Costa app and my order is always ready on time. I also went in to get my birthday treat and they were very sweet

Usually go to costa coffee in didsbuy. Ordered food and drinks to eat in . Given paper bags (no plates) and a plastic knife to butter toast with one small butter for 2 slices of toast which l had to eat out of a paper carton. Wasn’t a pleasurable experience wont be back . Felt like l was on a camping trip. Actually have plates and pot cups in other costas

Wrong toastie sent again !! And it was cold and like rock. Not sure how you can get an order wrong of 2 items !!

Old lady was very rude. Young lady was very nice . Shuts at 5 but was was told at 4:35 we close in 5 minutes .and buy 4:50 she had told 4 people sorry we are shuting and cleaned the machine.

Great friendly staff, not as quick serving as other Costas I have been in but the coffee tasted alot nicer. Was definitely worth the few minutes extra wait.

We went for lunch on Torrid Tuesday! It was SWELTERING outside, the aircon and one chiller had given up the ghost, the staff were soldiering on in less than ideal circumstances. They'd propped open doors for customers' comfort, behind the counter it must have been insanely hot! Despite the heat, we received excellent service. The seating area was cool and impeccably clean. I've always loved their Mango & Passionfruit coolers and the Mozarella/Roast Tomato/Pesto panini was really good - the tie-in with Marks & Spencer for food is a hit with us! Kudos to the lovely staff for coping so well in difficult conditions.

Terrible experience with one staff member. She was very rude and rushing us. Usually love costa but I am not sure what's up with this branch. Currently doesn't have enough staff to accommodate people so it's only take away. Closes at 4pm ...

Generally a friendly team in here but there is one lady who isn't very friendly. Two members of staff in today so take away only. Not very good customer service. Maybe they could put customers first instead of profit margins.. Quality over quantity. Why not have one person taking the order then making the coffee like a other less busy Costa shops and provide seating.

There is an old lady with blonde hair who is very rude and hate customers never give me what i wanted .

Excellent choice of food now with the addition of the M&S range. Great service and recently refurbished inside so looking great too

Popped in at 12.40pm the other Saturday and queued. It wasn't that busy really. I walked outside with two coffees 25 minutes later. Completely abysmal service. There were 4 staff behind the counter with only one barista, and one walking around clearing tables. The staff didn't seem to have any idea of the queue length, and nor did they bother. Guess what, I won't bother again either. And it's over-priced. There are other coffee shops close by. So I'll go there.

I've used this place infrequently and have always found the service excellent for both take out and eating in.

Coffee was good in Costa coffee , staff very friendly , table's nice and clean ,toliet was very dirty ,it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time .

It's average for a Costa. Think they got my order a bit wrong. Did ask for a latte plus but only got a normal one. I hate it when they do that and you only find out after. Also they missed putting my points on so I had to go back and ask!

Staff were rude to my 82 year old father, they rudely advised him that he can't drink inside, as he didn't have a smartphone for track and trace. So basically if youre a pensioner without a smartphone, you have to freeze outside ,with your coffee...shame on you Costa

Staff here have been working very hard during the lockdowns, they are always professional, friendly and it has quickly become a regular stop on my weekend dog walk. See you again next week.
