Great place! Booked for restaurant and got sat on the tall tables downstairs which was annoying. Felt like they were short-staffed as service wasn't at it's best like normal but food is always amazing

Great, convivial place for authentic tapas, never disappoints

We went to the Curado X Lahmacun supper club on Sunday afternoon. 5 courses, 5 matched wines. What a great afternoon! Lucas's food was terrific - Arabic with a twist, and he gave a great introduction to each of the courses, explaining the ingredients and why he had chosen them. The flavours were punchy and different. The Curado boys were great fun, also explaining why they had chosen the wines, discussing the vineyards and producers, and generally having a good time whilst they served us. Not just wines on Sunday, but a Vermouth and a sherry. All delicious, all perfectly matched to the dishes. You sit in groups, and we had a lovely time with the others on our table. My only complaint would be that it wasn't always clear how many people each dish is supposed to serve - there was an awkward moment when we realised a dish we thought was for 4 was actually for 7. However, the guys soon sorted that out for us and all was good! It was our first supper club but we will definitely be back.

This place is amazing!! Visited last night got food and really enjoyed. The patatatas bravas were crispy and tasty, the croquettes were outstanding and this tomato salad was another level. Service was mostly good with few issues. Recommended.

What a lovely place for Spanish tapas dishes! And gorgeous choice of drinks too! The staff really care about the food they serve and the service they provide. Outstanding food with a huge choice of big lates, small plates and nibbles. The atmosphere was super chilled and the interior was very trendy and the perfect vibe for the type of bar. We will 1000% be returning. Perfect for a date night or a quick stop for a nibble and drink.

Most authentic Spanish tapas! The fried Calamari was the highlight! Will go back again.

Super warm and instant welcome. Meet by a massive smile at the door by Mania. All staff were positive and nice. Food was wide-ranging and expected portion sizes.

DO NOT DINE HERE! This has to be the worst restaurant I have been to in a very long time. We were a party of 6. Everything went well until the waitress came to take our order. She didn't know anything about the menu. The menu was in an obscure font and tiny letters, so it was very difficult to read. That was the last time we saw her. It was a different waiter or waitress each time we ordered after that. One waiter in particular was wearing short shorts and was incredibly rude. I watched him and the other waitresses arguing at the till for ten minutes before he stomped over and threw a bill at me for 240 quid that I didn't ask for. He literally threw it on the table. Grunted at me and stomped off. Our whole table was shocked and disgusted. They were arguing because we had a different waiter each time we requested something, and there was no system in place for our "correct" bill. Look at the picture. That plate cost 15 quid. I ate that in two mouthfuls. I thought it was a joke when it got served to me. Starter was 8 quid for a very small piece of stale bread with a bit of feta on it. Drinks took forever to arrive, and when they were, the staff were very rude, and we did not feel welcome at all. Needless to say, we will never come here again.

I'm not the biggest fan of Spanish food but haven't had any for years so thought why not try some tonight. I looked online and this place appeared to have good reviews so off I went. First impressions was how surprisingly busy it was on an early Thursday evening. It took a while before I was seated. I was seated at the bar first but asked if I could be seated at a table. They gave me an hour as the table was booked, which was more than enough time. There wasn't really anything on the menu that really popped out to me so decided to play it safe and order a potato small plates and a shin beef special. The potato arrived piping hot so I had to let it cool down for a bit. Flavourwise, I personally thought there was too much going on and I'd rather it was a more simplistic affair. I guess this is how it's meant to taste so bear that in mind. As for the beef, that arrived a lot cooler and it did taste quite nice though I wish there was more chucks of beef. The sauce was really tasty but I had no spoon and it didn't come with any bread to soak up the juices so I wasn't sure how best to consume this dish. Though I wish I had picked other dishes, that's not to say the food I did have was by any means bad. Its more likely I don't appreciate Spanish cuisine as much as others do.

Sadly this place has gone downhill since opening..... Menu is now quite limited and the service was atrocious. We ordered the £27 bottle of wine and when paying the bill noticed that they tried charging £70 for each of the 3 bottles we ordered. There were 2 bottles similarly named and they tried to charge us for the expensive one despite me pointing at the £27 bottle in the menu when ordering......turned into a very embarrassing evening. Won't be going back 🫣

This was my second time at Curado -- and it won't be my last! The food here is fantastic: the variety, the quality, and the taste... really is amazing. Our server was very friendly and helpful, but there were some moments when things moved a little slow; to be fair, though, the restaurant was packed (it was Christmas-time in Cardiff, after all). I'll definitely come back during a future visit to Cardiff -- but I may choose a less crowded night if possible. Overall, though, I love Curado -- drinks, food, dessert, atmosphere... it's all great!

Two of us went to Curado for lunch on 9th November. We were given a good table, which I had booked in advance. The service by Sam and Mia (?) was excellent and the drinks and food soon arrived. I confess to being critical, especially when it comes to food, but the dishes we ordered were freshly cooked, well presented and very tasty. This place is humming and I guess Sam is responsible for that level of success and quality.

Excellent bar menu, really loved the tapas we tried, and what we spied around us loved equally good. Great glass of red. Plan to go again, but £4.50 for the lime & soda felt a bit steep.

A great little tapas bar, I've spent several great evenings here with a bottle of wine and some lovely food. Very relaxed, and particularly fabulous when just sat at a stool at the bar. Some of the tapas is a little on the pricey side, but on the whole it's worth it.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, we were walk in without a reservation, and they found us decent seats by the bar. The food was excellent and the staff was knowledgable, and the recommended wine was a great match to the food. We enjoyed it too much to take photos! Highly recommended.

A fantastic place. The food was amazing. The Bravas was the best we have had and that includes Spain. All the food was reasonable priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit on our next visit to Cardiff.

Good variety of tapas and some interesting cheeses on the menu (& for sale).

Stumbled across this place … as soon as you walk in it has a great atmosphere and feels very authentic … great addition of a deli and shop area to buy genuine Spanish products. Waiter explained that all the ingredients for all the dishes apart from the mushrooms and bread are all sourced from Spain and they go to a lot of effort to find really good bespoke and unique suppliers in Spain. We have eaten a lot of tapas both in Spain and in the U.K. and I have to say we were utterly blown away by the food. It’s the kind of place where you could order anything from the menu regardless of whether you like the ingredient’s in the dishes normally and you will find them amazing. Aubergine fritters a must… amazing! Meatballs insanely good. Croquettes stunning! I could go on and on….. Staff all really attentive and knowledgable on the food and they also have the most amazing wine list. THE BEST tapas we have EVER had anywhere. Just go… you won’t be disappointed …. This place certainly deserves to be in the Michelin guide … better than another Spanish restaurant close by that we went to in Cardiff that is in the Michelin guide.

A great tapas bar, brilliant service and recommendations by Felix..all the small plates were delicious especially the dried tuna/tangerine platter, sweet pepper with fried goats cheese and basque cheesecake. Wine was decadent too & there a wonderful 'secret' Vermouth Bar attached with more charismatic staff & delightful drinks. Highly recommend.

Authentic Northern Spanish food. The Spanish cider is very tasty

First visit, service was excellent. Sam was very knowledgeable on all aspects but all staff seemed genuinely happy. Tapas very reasonably priced & delicious. We will definitely return. Worth a visit for the deli too. Thanks Sam for your excellent hospitality & recommendations.

Great tapas. Friendly staff. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We went for a selection of the cheese and meats, some yummy potatoes and a few of the smaller plates. Nice atmosphere. We were there quite early and it was very busy so may be worth booking. I can see why it’s so popular. Also has a lovely deli so you can treat yourself to some goodies to go home with.

Nice place with a good atmosphere, the food was nice enough and the pricing was what you’d expect from this type of place in town. They also had a shop where you could buy a lot of the ingredients which were on the menu.

Tasty tapas , with good company & washed down with a excellent glass of wine, my only down side was we asked for water it came warm in a jug with no ice or even a slice of lemon ! Plus a lot of people eat/ pick the meats, cheeses & olives with their fingers, so a visit to the toilet to wash them is needed but the facilities are small for such a large restaurant.

Lovely place! Super friendly staff! The calamari could be less salty. The broccoli salad is defo recommended. Other than that all was great and with an eclectic wine selection!

Food great service a bit hit and miss but they were busy.

Having visited in June we were back in August. The food is great and there is a lively vibe. We started with olives and then had a couple of tapas (lentil salad and padron peppers), a couple of house plates (ham, egg & potatoes and tuna with nectarine) as well as a platter of 2 cheeses, 2 hams and assorted pickles. All were excellent. For me, the tuna was the highlight - very thin slices of ?air-dried? fish with warm nectarine slices and a little goat's cheese and nuts was wonderful. The meats and cheeses were also really good. Against such strong flavours the lentil salad seemed a bit tame - perhaps we should have eaten that first. The wine by the glass was very nice, but it turned out that it would have been much cheaper to have a bottle rather than the three 175mm glasses we had.

The manager, who was called Ben. Was very inappropriate with staff and customers. Food was great, other staff were great. But that manager was just so inappropriate. The way he spoke to staff was ridiculous it was like they were SLAVES. Do not recommend.

Had dinner here, didn't have a booking but they had space for two at the bar. Had a great selection of tapas, lovely house red and a good cheese selection to finish. My other half loved the gin and tonic and they had a good selection of gins.

Not that authentic to be honest. Tapas are normally served in a small bowl, you couldntsetve tapas in a bowl here as you only get 1 item. Very overpriced. Friendly staff.

We saw amazing reviews of this place but weren’t sure what to expect, the food was the most incredible tapas we have ever had (and we are tapas lovers!) but the service was even better! Sam made us feel so welcome; had the best food and wine recommendations and even suggested places for us to go afterwards. The food alone is worth the visit (with a great atmosphere) but if you could specifically choose to have Sam as a server you will have the night of your life - we had better service here than in Michelin star restaurants and cannot recommend enough! Thank you Sam so much for making our anniversary special!

The most amazing food and wonderful staff. We could not fault a thing! All staff we so helpful, friendly and attentive. The restaurant has such a lovely warm feel to it, I could not recommend a better place to spend an evening, thank you so much!

Didn't have food, but after being recommended to it by a Spanish friend, I decided to visit with another mate for a decent Spanish Rioja. Certainly got that here. We will eat next time in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime, thoroughly recommended. The staff are lovely.

Superb meal, Spanish cuisine of the highest quality. Meal for 2 with wine not cheap at just over £100, but worth every penny. Don’t miss the jamon iberico and Croquettas, they are to die for. Pork skewers and patatas bravad, equally outstanding.

Been there too many time - bang Good wine happy day - Spanish wine fan Food is decent (4.3/5) and i never miss the cheese meat board (4.7/5). Please time to update the cheese/meat selection as I tried all of them already lol I had pistachios chorizo to go before and it tastes delicious.

My partner and I visited Curado for our 1st Year anniversary where Jack, Masie and Rosa made us feel very special. With a lovely Presecco on our arrival and smiles all round. They gave us the best seats in the house. The food was phenomenal. I would thoroughly recommend this place on everyone.

Best place to have some tapas, reminded me of Spain. The best we've had outside of Spain. The waiter who served us, which he said it was only his 2nd day was very helpful and gave us a very good customer service 👍 we particularly loved the brocoli ensalada and the meat and cheese charcuterie was delicious. Loved everything! The menu is outstanding, couldn't try as much of it as I would have liked to and it was extensive. Still managed to try the crab croquetas, which were outstanding, huge portion and meltingly delicious. The meat and cheese board was also excellent, the smoked beef and the Tres Leches cheese, the black truffle cheese and the jamon super tasty. Finally the giant prawns were head suckingly good! Tasy Verdejo and great service made it worth the visit to Cardiff alone.
