After spending £30 on lunch and coffees we asked at the til if they would mind if we joined a call for 30 minutes while we drank our after lunch coffees having giving up our table on the terrace for a couple with dogs at their request. Having kindly obliged their request to give up our table they said it was absolutely fine. We were then made to feel so unwelcome. Two tables next to us just had coffees yet we were the only people asked twice (during an important call) if we wanted anything else and one of our coffee cups swiftly taken away before we finished. These were clearly attempts to move us. The first was only 9 minutes into our call without one of our coffees even being delivered. The manager then came over and informed us (again during the 30min call) that if we weren’t ordering more food we would have to leave as they were too busy and it isn’t a meeting space. The same was not requested of the tables either side of us. There was also a table two down from us that was empty. Really poor customer service turned our lovely lunch into a hostile encounter. It felt like a point was trying to be made as I’m not sure what we’d done to deserve this badgering. We will not be returning and are really disappointed in the lack of regard when we had spent a lot of money there. We were there 2 hours in total but clearly an unacceptable amount of time in their opinion having ordering two lunches, four coffees and a cake. A real shame.

Visited on a bank holiday when it was very busy. Cafe was full and we had to queue to get in and wait for a table which we can understand as the park was very busy too. Would have been better if there was an indication for the wait time for a table and for food. Quite a long wait for the food but it was very nice although it was hard to keep the dog settled for so long with lots of other dogs in there at the same time. Again to be expected. Pleasant service but difficult to get staffs attention. Not overly expensive but expected more for what we paid.

We stopped here a few weeks ago as a break from the M6. The park is perfect for going for a walk, especially with a dog. The cafe does great food (we had 2 nice breakfasts) and coffee and is dog-friendly too. We especially want to mention how helpful the staff were, we lost some baby bottles and the staff were very helpful in allowing us to sterilise some more in their microwave.

Cuerden View cafe, is our favourite cafe to go to. We visit at least 3 times a week. Why do we love it? Originally is was location, being in the park, it surely surpasses the view of most cafes. The building, completed by volunteers, has an expanse of windows for you to enjoy the view. You feel immersed in countryside. The food is great, breakfast or lunch, with good choices, all prepared by a fabulous bunch of cooks, who go out of their way to comply with any requests. Even most of the delicious cakes are homemade on site. The serving team, we know most by name, and perhaps more importantly they know ours, always have a smiling welcome for everybody. They are efficient and friendly, well actually, they can’t do enough for you. The cafe is always busy, but the team always make time for you, even when rushed off their feet. The personal touch, the food, the view, what’s not to love. I just wish they’d open for tea time too!!

A diamond in the rough. What a superb café this really is. Both my wife and I ventured into the coffee shop after a long walk. We were met by a queue, as it was lunch time, I wasn't deturbed as it was busy, despite other customer grumblings, we were happy to wait. We were greeted and seated soon as a table was available. The staff were very polite and friendly, as it was lunch time, was a slight delay, however we were updated on timings. The coffee and food were excellent. I would certainly be visiting again. A+++

Arrived on a sunny afternoon to a busy cafe (which is a sign of a good one!!) and was promptly seated outside by a member of staff. My daughter and I were informed that there was a twenty minute wait on food but this was not an issue because of the beautiful view and charming atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff were kind and attentive even with the pressure of such a busy day. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate returning!

I'd give this place minus 100 if I could. Customer service was extremely poor. Asked to speak to the manager. Was advised to sit and wait, after 20 minutes the operations manager arrived in the cafe & he didn't even have the respect or gumption to come and speak to us, to try to find out why we were unhappy. Got a refund, from Linda, one of the assistants, who was helpful, but would never visit this place again. Take my advice and go elsewhere. Seems like they couldn't care less. The organisation and functioning of the place was absolutely appalling.

Absolutely dreadful experience. Our day was ruined by 1 member of the waiting staff (tall lady with brown bob style hair) . As we arrived there was a large number of people in the doorway waiting for the toilets which were adjacent to the cafe. I went to the counter to order coffee and my brother and partner sat down. I waited 20 minutes to be served then was told I should have been served at the table... I apologised and explained that I had no idea. The young lady hesitantly said she'd serve me anyway after seeing me stood there for a period of time why wasn't I told . I was told my drinks would be brought to me. When I arrived back at the table a lady (waitress) was unbelievably rude ... we were abruptly told we should have rang the bell when entering the building and sat down to be served (which was obscured by people waiting for the toilets) which we tried to explain. She told us " it's very clear to see and you cannot come in without ringing the bell". I told her I was very upset at how she was treating us and tried again to explain. She said " well everyone else seen it" I asked for a refund as we didn't feel welcome. She said ill see what i can do but youll wait a long time. Her manner was hateful. I have never in my life experienced anything like this and I will not be back. A lovely lady called Linda ( a volunteer) was profusely apologetic and went to speak to the operations manager about a refund and get him to speak with us. Linda returned with my refund and my brother asked if the manager was coming to talk about the situation with us and she said no he's not the real manager. We were completely shocked by this lack of care and professionalism... leaving a volunteer to deal with this incident caused by a member of staff. I hope this lady is given training in customer service and just some basic manners and decorum. Also the manager on duty do his job As we left we seen the wooden stand with the bell in the middle of the foyer .... a few minutes later I decided to go back in and take a photo of where it was situated and it had been moved to the doorway of the cafe . How convenient.

Unbelievably rude lady at front of building that seats customers. We are sorry we spent £15 at your cafe, and sorry that once inside and saw what you sold that we decided to sit at a table instead of taking away. To be scolded at not being 'takeaway customers' made us feel really awkward. There was plenty of tables empty. To then proceed to explain what takeaway means was absolutely not an ok way to speak to us, especially infront of my 4yr old, who wanted to sit and eat her icecream. The lady that served us was also very grumpy, and acted like she hadnt a clue what i meant when ordering the brownie, which they had ample of and only one type. These two individuals were then seen chatting and pointing at us shortly after. Wont bother again, first and last visit. Lady on the front needs to learn how to treat PAYING customers with respect. Rude.

Arrived to a sign saying ring the bell to be seated. Waited then a grumpy lady screamed from the kitchen we will be with you when we can in a right grumpy way. Ordered gins. Brews. Cakes and food. Gins came wrong. Then coffee. Then nothing else. Ages later asked about the other brews, cakes, sandwiches. Told the lad who took our order has had a bad day so I don't know? Didn't put any of it through? This place is really not great. Really poor service and just chaos. I got the feeling they really didn't want us in the first place as it was the last hour and that's how we felt.

No apology or offer to change. Safe to say we were all put off our meal and will not be returning.
