Cuerden View Cafe in Chorley

Unbelievably rude lady at front of building that seats customers. We are sorry we spent £15 at your cafe, and sorry that once inside and saw what you sold that we decided to sit at a table instead of taking away. To be scolded at not being 'takeaway customers' made us feel really awkward. There was plenty of tables empty. To then proceed to explain what takeaway means was absolutely not an ok way to speak to us, especially infront of my 4yr old, who wanted to sit and eat her icecream. The lady that served us was also very grumpy, and acted like she hadnt a clue what i meant when ordering the brownie, which they had ample of and only one type. These two individuals were then seen chatting and pointing at us shortly after. Wont bother again, first and last visit. Lady on the front needs to learn how to treat PAYING customers with respect. Rude.

Arrived to a sign saying ring the bell to be seated. Waited then a grumpy lady screamed from the kitchen we will be with you when we can in a right grumpy way. Ordered gins. Brews. Cakes and food. Gins came wrong. Then coffee. Then nothing else. Ages later asked about the other brews, cakes, sandwiches. Told the lad who took our order has had a bad day so I don't know? Didn't put any of it through? This place is really not great. Really poor service and just chaos. I got the feeling they really didn't want us in the first place as it was the last hour and that's how we felt.

Last weekend I had a lovely Christmas afternoon tea with a friend. The food was delicious, especially the sausage roll, and there was plenty of food meaning I got to take some home for later too. The atmosphere is always lovely here and the staff are the friendliest around. Love that dogs are allowed too

Fantastic Festive Afternoon Tea for 6 friends. Had a really lovely time, the food was so good - the soup was such a great flavour and the mixture of savouries and sweet treats were divine and there was so much lovely food. Doggie bags were required to take home. The service was super and the staff were friendly and very helpful Would highly recommend

Well, well here again, naturally love ❤️ this place the staff are always very welcoming the food and drink are always very tasty the views over the valley is always changing with the seasons it is the best café in park second to none

A rather grumpy lady took our order. My granddaughter wanted a hot chocolate with cream on the top. Paid for our order at the table. Drinks arrived and no cream. Reluctantly the hoc choc was taken away and cream put on the top. Then to my amazement the grumpy lady came with the card machine for another 75p !!!!!!!!!!! Not a good look which it was their mistake. Also we all had cake and two were very dry. Wont be going there again.

Visited Sunday Morning and was shown to our table. Not sure what to do, I went to the counter to order breakfast but was told, it's now the lunch time menu. This was despite being handed a breakfast menu, when we sat down. I asked, what time do you finish serving breakfast, she told me 11:15. I then asked her the time and she told me, it was 11:15, just. Seated quickly with a choice of inside or outside, lovely terrace and gorgeous views. Waitresses were lovely and polite, food was delicious. Definitely will come again - loved the little options for dogs!

Just had a tasty Bacon and Egg Barm. What more could you ask for? Well, if you look at the menu, I'm sure you'll find something you'll not be disappointed

Absolute brilliant night at the cafe, atmosphere was amazing and the home made pies were delicious, we went for the quiz first time and to our surprise we won, I highly recommend a vist to the cafe their hot chocolate is to die for,if you vist the park don't forget to pop in for a hot drink and a slice of cake meals also served, Thank you again for a brilliant e evening 😀

This is the best cafe in the park no other comes close the staff are just the best and coffee is the died for metaphorically speaking you don't died if you drink one would I visit again I think so!

Really enjoyed my lunch here with a couple of friends. So waited at door to be shown to 5 empty tables. Told someone would come and take my order. 3 staff stood chatting and yet no one comes to take order. What a waste of time to sit for 10min hopeful someone may come. Won’t be coming back in a hurry.

Cuerden cafe is excellent. After a relaxing stroll through the park it's lovely to return to the cafe for lunch. The cafe serves an interesting selection of food at very reasonable prices and their coffee is particularly excellent.

The food is well prepared, locally sourced and a varied menu. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well behaved dogs as welcome, this is the perfect place for good food and a great walk. Just a note that parking is chargeable for the park walks but...

Delicious food with very generous serving sizes. Friendly service. Nice to be able to sit outside in the fresh air. A good stopping point for long drives.

After a vicious arson attack on the cafe the staff have moved their operations to an orchard where they now serve the best dammed teas,coffee and not forgetting their park famous hot chocolate this bull dog spirit will not be beaten

Lovely food and a great menu. Prices are a little on the high side. Fab chocolate eclairs. Great end after a lovely walk through curden.

Visited today with my family. 7 adults & 5 dogs. Can not fault anything about the place. The staff were attentive. The bacon barm was delicious. Lovely views & a pleasant walk too. Certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place

It's such a shame to have to mark down this cafe which is in a beautiful location in the lovely Cuerden Valley Park however I feel that the attitude of some of the staff let it down. They need to have a tad more enthusiasm...

Eaten here numerous times. The food is fantastic. A great spot for after a dog walk and love that dogs can come inside. Often a great selection of cakes. Service can initially be slow, but then once ordered, the food comes relatively quickly.
