The prices on menu and the one on the till are hugely different. The food isn't anything special and the staff have bad attitude 😒

Dirty horrible place ,asked for fresh chicken tikka ,and brings out re -heated ones .

Disgusting restaurant, staff is rude and have no respect how to treat customers. I ordered curry lamb and ask for MILD. I asked over and over that it have to be mild as me and my family we don't eat spicy. If you don't have mild why taking my order? When I get home and taste it it was awful hot spicy food and they have the audacity to tell me I ordered medium. If you staff don't understand English then please have staff that does cz this is about customers health and don't lie that I asked for medium. The naan bread was not fresh it must have been from yesterday. They like selling old food which have been from the day before. This restaurant needs closing down or better management cz it's about people health. When u ring them to tell them it's not what I ordered the only thing you hear is we will look after you next time. It's not about that irs about my health. I don't want you to look after me look after the food you selling to customers and ur customer service. If I could give you all 0 stars I would . Disgusting restaurant!!! Rating 0

This restaurant is in an appalling state and in a serious need of rennovation. The customer toilet is in a disgusting state, not sure how many weeks it was last cleaned. The staff needs training in dealing with customers, they are extremely rude and bad mannered. Food is the only thing that keeps this place open.

February 21 2023 something has sadly changed at cuckoo’s. Curry’s smaller not as tasty , rice dry, I am wondering has worldwide leased this place to someone as this is not the usual quality . Sad to see used to be one of the best Returned August 2024 Toilets from hell avoid ! No idea last time they have been cleaned if ever . Food edible sheikh kebabs cooked fresh bunch chicken donner old and dry , fried fish very greasy . Now they don’t give jugs of water just sell bottled which is poor . Nihari tasty but death by microwave. Only thing fresh was the rotis I am afraid . Not so cheap £40 but bearable

Good prices. Went for a family meal. Had a variety of food . Started with the masala fish which most people on reviews said was a must try but it wasn't too special. We also had Naan with lamb donner and seekh kebab cheese burger meal and lamb karahi with naan. The food has definitely improved from how it was. We go alot more often now. Its always a nice drive since we go out of town.

I went for the grilled chicken - it’s amazing. Beautifully seasoned and cooked. Everything tastes so fresh, the naan and the salad. We didn’t go for the fish, but seeing it freshly cooked persuaded us and we did not regret it a bit. It was cooked to perfection. They really have refined the recipes. This is one of those places that invests in the areas that matter - namely, the quality of the food 👌

Ordered chicken donor and naan, the portion size was horrendous i asked for a large and it looked like a small. tasted like rubber and was really hard, naan was dry. Asked for a imli chuntey and was told that they had none but then as soon as i mentioned i was ready to pay they suddenly had some, horrendous customer service and so rude i wouldn't even rate this place 1 star. AVOID AVOID!!!

Staff needs training to how to dealt with Customers. I have horrible experience with one of the staff of Cockoos the name of staff Noman and Jameel who was behaving very rudly with customers and did not bother about their restaurant image. So I request Cockoos management to do something in this regard and try to improve behaviour of their staff because customers will only come back again and again, when food tasty and behaviour of staff is fine customers.

AVOID THIS DIRTY PLACE!! I went in to get a chicken biryani ask could I sit in as the chairs were on the tables downstairs, the man behind the counter said I could but I’ll have to sit upstairs. The room was filthy old food on floors and table the bins was full to the brim with rubbish which must of been like that all night as I was the first customer in as it only just opened for the day. The biryani tasted stale and was partly cold vile THE WORST PART!!!! a lady came up stairs went to the sink which was 2 yards behind me coughed up flem and spat it in the sink I looked behind me and she was washing her feet with her hands. Disgusting vile animals! Pure disrespect I’m surprised they have a 4 stars hygiene certificate it should be zero I feel physically sick

Sadly, used to enjoy going here and have been for years but think I have had my last visit now. Staff have never been the friendliest with no customer service skills whatsoever but the food used to be worth it, unfortunately not worth putting up with how you are treated and made to feel and food has definitely took a turn for the worse but costs more as they seem to charge whatever they want and try and intimidate you if you challenge it. Final visit I rang and ordered ahead, very rude male answered and said 20 minutes. I left it 20 minutes and went to collect. I ordered something else while there but before I did I asked if it was already ready and was told yes. I continued to wait another 20 minutes before another equally rude male put my food order on the counter , every time I have ordered previously I was given sauces, having already paid I was told there wasn’t any of one of the sauces, I had seen it in the chiller! I said this and mentioned it, you would have thought I was asking for his worldly belongings, the look on his face and he literally threw it in the bag. I then waited another 15 minutes for the item I was told was ready when I ordered it and was once again reminded by a very rude member of staff who tries to intimidate that there was an extra charge for the sauce. Food not great and portions tiny. Never again, customers should not be treated like this

Was recommended this by a relative. I wish they had a place like this in Leeds. I have to travel to Bradford to eat a top notch karahi. The lamb karahi was phenomenal, the biryani, spot on, the nan, delicious!!!! 😋 Do not be fooled by the looks of this place. It’s not your fancy go to but if you want authentic handi. Here’s your place!!!

My sister's order some kebabs from them, end of the day we all felt sick throwing up all night including kids. Please don't order any food from seriously.

Staff very very rude. No smile, no greet, nothing. Just stand there with a miserable look on their faces. I really don't know why they're here in the first place. They should be picking litter on the streets. As for the food, it's better than their attitude!!!

1st time ordering ordered here, did it on uber eats . Peri peri chicken burger meal burger was a frozen burger like a birds eye frozen one cheap defo no fresh fillet anyway couldn't help but laugh won't order again. Edible is about all ive got to say go chunky chicken instead or new orlando even west virginia .ate it because it was paid for .

Horrible food, worst experience ever, the donner smelt and it took them over 35 mins to get the food to us. Staff are rude, no social skills and just stand looking aggressively. Me and my friend were appalled and genuinely felt we'd waste money driving to Rochdale. We should have just stuck to our original plan and gone to Kebabish in Blackburn. As far as I'm concerned a place to avoid.

Food was delicious but the tables upstairs were filthy and there were previous customers food still left on the tables.

Food is always good and very reasonably priced. Not a posh place by any stretch but authentic taste and good sized portions with very quick service for a great price. Time for an update on decor now though.

Worse worse BBQ in the UK now.. 55 mins wait for 2 portion of seekh kabab and chicken tikka.. chicken tikkah the guy cooked like paiy for so so long.. and seekh kabab he took off raw. Bring proper chef first who can make food and than open ur takeaway. Waste and rip of money.

Scammers /frauds... Please don't order in this restaurant... Today I ordered 1& half kg chicken karahai... When I called them they told me that it is £12 per kg.. So£16 will be the bill..whrn we took our order they charge us £28... £10 scam... When my brother asked for receipt the worker their there didn't give us that to hide his crime...I am very very disappointed.. The karahai was average... Plz plz don't order form this restraint...

Wow what a disgusting way to eat serve food. Everything was burnt!! Next day puked up. The one star is for the salad which was surprisingly clean.

Brought donner and chips and when looked at it was the chicken donner despite the fact I told I wanted lamb donner and refused to swap it this has happened more than once. Terrible customer service would not recommend not just that they definitely don't know the difference between kobedi and sekh. THE WHOLE ORDER WAS WRONG. Save yourself a trip and don't visit

Tea had gone down hill. Customer service always has been in need of a smile and politeness, gone downhill further on that front. Shame really, they have excellent location, space to eat etc. Food, customer service is limiting their potential.

Good taste and quality, but I’d advise not to get the “Staff Curry” as it’s mostly bones, which are not edible.

Great fresh food, favourite is the fried fish absolutely amazing a definite must try. Their paay is very watery wish makes it less flavoured. Naan are spot on grill platters are ok too very filling

There was hair one my food and they said it not ours it your then I showed them I am bold and they still did not give me a new one it has happened multiple times now I never go there

Ordered food for friends and chicken was rancid and raw. Ruined our night and wer argumentative when we went back to have a word. Rest of the food was terrible and went in the bin, what an absolute waste of money. Embarrassing, will not be returning.

Thought I'd try this place again after a while. What a shocker! Food was absolutely horrible, you could actually smell the meat was off. Pay a couple £ more and go somewhere else.

Went out to help eat out and the service was disgusting and they hadn’t cleaned the tables properly or even the floors the food was thrown all over the place and had to get drinks ourselves we basically ended up serving our selfs and they gave us sauce bottles without cleaning it then the server made a fuss when we asked to clean it and they never did, was so gross we had to go home to eat also upstair was disgusting the wall had food smeared all over it and the table cloths were peeling away also I had to ask several times to bring the food when being served as they bought it one at a time but with 5 mins apart instead of together I would rate them 0 if I could they need health and safety inspections 🤢 🤮

Absolutely terrible! - the tables upstairs had tables peelng away. - a table upstairs had not been cleaned. - no ac or ventilation upstairs. - no service and I had to go up and down stairs to obtain things. - a waiter berating a customer for complaining about a lack of ventilation( although it was very hot). -food not much better unfortunately Only consolation.....we paid 50% due to eat out to help out. To the owners, if you want your business to survive, spend a small amount of money and really spruce your resteraunt especially upstairs! Also improve your service and get some staff who actually care.

Eat in to help out, they charge full price as extra for salad and sauce although that was included in the platter. After questioning i was told they salad and sauce is with full price. And drinks full price. Be aware. Conning people

Monday 18th May at 1:30 went in ordered diner and chips. The donner was old and very hard. Beimaan service. Yeh haal hai hamaray Pakistanio ka, idhar agaye per woh taggnay ki aadat nhi gyi. A1 is much better they only serve clean food.

The cleanliness inside is not great. Shabby and old decor with unclean tables. The service was also poor and the food to be honest was not great. The quality has gone dow .

To be honest, the food is amazing, the masala fish is a must. We now travel from Blackpool to buy real authentic food.I would never sit in and eat here, the seating area is grubby. Really off putting.

The reason for not giving this place a five star is due to the internal fixtures and cleanliness of the eating area upstairs and downstairs. It's a shame gone down over the years. Needs huge improvements. I'm surprised how busy it is.

Nice place to eat traditional dishes from good curry's to kebabs from burgers to platters. You could eat inn or takeout family room upstairs. Nice clean place public carpark opposite the road that if you can get room. You can pay either by cash or card.

Ordered 50 naans for a special occasion. Was told by staff they are perfect. When we served them to our guests they were hard and dry, not edible. Embarrassing moment, complete waste of money. Bin job. Never again.

The food was pretty good in here. What lets this place down is some of the staff and the cleanliness. In particular, other customers leftovers were still present, tables did not get wiped down, the chairs were full of dirt and I saw a member of staff casually picking things to eat whilst preparing food. Mgmt need a serious overhaul... if they care whatsoever

Very good Takeaway 🥡 with small sitting areas Few things are great especially fish in starters i belive but overall they got some nice different taste 🥘 food, they do 🍛 curry burger 🍔 kebabs etc whatever you like to eat it should be tasty delicious and great so why not try this instead of big restaurant sometimes small places has great taste you can’t decide until you eat here and don’t forget to eat some nice desserts from other side can’t write name of the shop but its only dessert shopbig long... Authentic Pakistani cuisine order the staff curry you will get exactly that what the chef has made for himself and the staff ! No oily over spiced rubbish on a metal plate here it’s the real deal . If with families go upstairs then order at the till they will bring it up to you .

Cuckoo's Naan is superb. If you've got haleem or nehari made at home, they're the perfect compliment.

Extremely Rude staff . Not even bothered to take order. Cold left over food The kababs were hard and rubbery. Seemed like they were made months ago. The Karahi dish was awful. I asked to make it spicy but the taste was mild the chicken was not properly cooked. The hygiene is poor. The food and health authorities should pay a visit to this place. Advise to people don’t use this place to eat. You need good quality food and not left over junk!
