One of the most welcoming, wonderful and utterly delicious cafés in Edinburgh. Eileen and the team make everything fresh and every meal I've had has been utterly awesome. Really great provision of vegetarian options which is as diverse as it is delicious. Their mushroom soup is second to none! All finished off with a friendly atmosphere and really lovely and caring staff. It's become my favourite place to go to for lunch. Could not recommend highly enough!

Despite the name it does have a space for sitting places but not for large groups. A short walk from the Haymarket station. Reasonably priced and good value and service.

Clean, simple & fairly cheap. We had x2 breakfast sausages in a roll. Was lovely. £7.10 for the food & a pot of tea. Was just what we needed before flying home. Stayed at Haymarket Hotel literally round the corner

We ‘discovered’ Cucina yesterday while walking in the Haymarket area. What a find it was! Great paninis, salads and coffee. Everything really fresh and tasty. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. We will definitely return.

went here for lunch and had the mozzarella salad. sat in nice seating area near window. service was quick and salad was very nicely presented and good value at £6 for sit in. loved the salad, had a good variety of ingredients ie grated carrot, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, rocket, salad leaves topped with strips of bread and pesto. spoilt for choice on salad menu. wide variety of other food on offer. good takeaway menu. would recommend for a very affordable lunch

Super little place for breakfast. Friendly staff serving great value fresh food. Heavily loaded bacon rolls, bowls of delicious fresh fruit- simple but well done and inexpensive.

Love this place! Friendly, clean and the food is so fresh. My only complaint is there is so much to choose from! The 2 guys are always so nice and very attentive, the food is delish and it's one of the best cups of coffee in town!

We went here to get a take away lunch, and were not disappointed. Sandwiches, wraps, rolls, and paninis, make choosing from their extensive range the hardest part, and my girlfriend was delighted to be able to get a choice of gluten free wraps made fresh for her. With a good choice of both hot and cold drinks (as well as cakes to die for!) it's a great place in a great location to get your take out food (it has a comfortable looking sit in restaurant, but that part was shut due to restrictions when we visited) especially handy if you're just heading across the road to get a train from Haymarket Station, getting a tram to Murrayfield Stadium, walking into Edinburgh City Centre, or getting the bus to Edinburgh Zoo - add to this the friendly staff, good prices, and we'll definitely be back!

Have had breakfast here several times now, and I can recommend it. It's a friendly place with cheerful service. The big and wee breakfasts are tasty, good value, and quick to arrive, and the coffee is particularly good and served in nice cups. I haven't been here at lunchtime so haven't tried anything else so far, but the menu looks very good - nice mix of dishes and attractive-sounding salads. If they are as good as the breakfasts, I look forward to trying them. The tables in the dining area are properly distanced. My only suggestions are to ask folk to use some hand sanitiser as they come through the door, and for the nice manager to get better fitting face masks that don't slip down over his nose! A great little cafe worth the short walk from Haymarket station.

Had the bulgar wheat salad box to take out today and it was delicious! There was some sweet and spiced pickled veg in there which were amazing and really made the dish. Great portion too!

I ate in for a reasonable price (~£7 for a generous salad and a 500ml sparking water bottle). I noticed the take away lunch boxes are ~£4 and generous portions. Food quality was good and people very nice. So I would say excellent for take away and good for eating in, averaging 4 stars.

Had lunch many times over the years and I’ve always enjoyed the food. Their wraps could easily be made suitable for customers choosing to eat gluten free - every supermarket has them. A simple step like that would open up more of their menu to gf people. Gf wraps are available in packs of four and have a long shelf life.

Ate here for my last meal, lunch, before heading off to the airport on the tram from Haymarket. The food was excellent and the family which owns and runs it were very friendly and provided excellent service.

I visit Edinburgh for work three/four times a year and I visit here for breakfast every day. The service is fantastic and prompt and there is a range of breakfasts available. Highly recommended for a visit.

Superb. Saturday visit .... not closed at all Google ... feeling the cold on way to Murrayfield so nipped in for coffee, hot chocolates and cake. All excellent. Staff and service really impressive.

Después de llamar a la camarera que nos dimos cuenta de que nos cobraron por elementos de menú estándar como extras.Leímos en el menú de "los tres huevos tortilla de queso con hongos o ", ordenados y cuando dieron la hora en la que nos dieron ponencia posibles varios significados de la palabra "o". Cualquiera de los ingredientes además de huevo eran extra, y correspondencia. "no escriba los menús", es la respuesta que recibimos de la camarera.Como fuimos nos dimos cuenta de que incluso el precio indicado para una porción de la torta era de 30 p más alto en nuestra factura de en la pantalla del mostrador.En general, nos cobraron a pesar de nuestra protesta y conseguimos la arrogancia. Lo único bueno de este lugar son las alternativas cerca.

No vayas a comer, se suponía que era una rápida brew con la esposa en su descanso de almuerzo. Acabé con un pollo y queso brie roll y ensalada. Fue absolutamente delicioso. Lo servían rápido (sin sensación de prisas) y era muy fresca. El precio era razonable, teniendo en cuenta que estábamos cerca del centro de la ciudad. El horario de la cafetería es pequeña pero hay espacio para reorganizar su asiento si es necesario. También permiten reservar una mesa. La decoración parece un poco viejo, pero el lugar está impecablemente limpio.

Este es un pequeño café pero el concepto es precioso. La comida está recién preparados con algunas opciones deliciosas y combinaciones. Además de los rollos tradicionales llena come desayunos. El personal acogedor y aunque se puede sentir un poco estrecho junto a otros visitantes bien merece una visita y no te decepcionará.

Fuimos a este pequeño tesoro en nuestro último día en Edimburgo y nos recibieron con una cálida sonrisa y nos hizo sentir como en casa enseguida. Nada era demasiado problema.

After a long trip not much sleep and very Hungry I was recomend this little cafe my the lovely staff at the hotel as I had missed breakfast there and i am so glad I did the breakfast was lovely just what I needed lovely friendly staff too and comfortable enviroment for a solo traveler would defo recomend to any one looking for good food at a good price or a comfy cafe with good coffee and a very good selection of teas.

I stumbled across this cafe whilst wondering around Edinburgh with my baby son. I was really impressed by how many tasty options there were! I went for the grilled corn fritter wrap and it was one of the best cafe lunches I've ever had. Sooo tasty. I also had a homemade peanut butter brownie (delicious!) and a great coffee too. At first I got my meal to take away, but after 10 minutes or so strolling down the road looking for a park to eat in it started to rain. As I didn't know the area I went back and said, 'actually I've decided to eat in after all!' Rather than giving me an odd look, instead the man who was serving behind the counter popped my wrap under the grill again to warm it, and made space for me and my slightly-too-big pram, which I was very grateful for. I was so impressed with the food that I ordered a couple of salads to take away for the evening, which were excellent.The food was so great that I went there the next day (my last day in Edinburgh) and ordered the exact same thing. YUM!

Not the cheapest of eats but if you want to ensure good food in your breakfast and good portion sizes then pull up a seat and eat.

I've been visiting this place for about 4 hears now. I have to say it has always been amazing. The ingredients are always fresh. The coffee is the standard illy café which lends itself well to a nice drink.Quiches are phenomenal and the Thai grilled wrap is one of my favourite dishes. I have brought many friends to this place who all loved it.Consistent service, friendly staff. A pleasure to eat here. I just wish I was able to come more often.

We stopped here for lunch after having a pretty crappy morning travelling. We chose this place based on reviews and we're not disappointed. There's a big variety of salad and sandwich to choose from. We ate the roast chicken salad and the quiche of the day with salad. Both were huge portions and delicious. If we weren't tourists we'd be back here all the time. The seating space is quite small, so don't expect a guaranteed seat when you turn up. The staff are dwindling despite being very busy, this place is popular.

We were walking back to our hotel when we saw this cafe/restaurant. Called in, took food out. When we tucked in, it was like a fiesta was going on in our mouths! I am not a nog fan of salads, but my goodness, when it's that fresh (which i obviously not had before) it tastes amazing! We had to go back the following day for more. The only downside is we have to fly to get there. Friendly staff, clean. Wish we could have on in Somerset. Thank you Cucina!

Just found this place by chance for a takeaway and by the queue I knew I needed to return for a sit in lunch. The food is unbelievable, the hardest part is choosing what to eat. The staff were super busy but really efficient and friendly. Definitely a gem!

No frills. A few tables. Great salads. Good service. Nice vibe. Generally speaking this is a takeaway venue for local office staff, but if you are working or visiting in the area, you couldn't do a lot better than come here.

Wow we really enjoyed our stay in this place. First, the coffee was great. Second, they have got a variety of great sandwiches, salads, cakes, pies etc. Third, the staff was very friendly. Will surely return here!!

As a taxi driver I have eaten take away lunch from many cafes in Edinburgh. This is by far and away the provider of the best salad boxes I have found over the last 14 years. Lots of fresh foods with very tasty flavours to choose from and generous portions at a reasonable price. My newly found perfect lunch! The staff seem lovely and are very helpful at sorting out the "eyes bigger than belly" syndrome I get when I see so many appealing choices. Has an overall good feeling to the cafe and one day I will sit in here with friends to share the flavours.

The food was great! Not necessarily typical scottish food, but we had just arrived and were looking for anything. The food was great! It helped to know that it was all super fresh and made the day of. Overall I would recommend! And I would return!

I use to go to have my lunch here every time I could. I dont live in Edinburgh anymore, but I've never found again a place like this for my lunch, great food choices, amazing quality, warm environment. The lemon cake it's the best ever!!!

It's great to have someone to go for lunch where you can get super tasty, well put together food that's freshly made on the premises by someone that really knows how to cook. You can choose between salads, paninis, quiches and homemade sausage rolls to mention just a few of the delicious options on offer. You can't leave without trying a cake or two... Best cakes in Edinburgh by a mile!
