Cubar in Cheshire East

'Tapas XL' would be a more apt description. We inevitably over-ordered but left with no regrets. Prawns were incredible, loved the Koftas and when you combined the sauce with the Meatballs...we ended up ordering more breads to soak up all the flavours. Friendly and attentive staff, which isn't always the case these days. Will have to try the steak next time....or the bottomless brunch. Delightful first visit, definitely not the last.

Food was tasty but the portions were really amall portions for the price!! Was not full after. It is more bar focused with loud music and drinks than a food place. Most people were drinking not eating

Best place in Sandbach for food, value for money and definitely service! Drinks are incredible and the bar and restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Sandbach. Staff are all very attentive, friendly and welcoming to their venue. Weekend evenings are always very lively with live music and dancing, whilst weekdays provide a relaxing and chilled atmosphere for food and drinks

Fantastic food and drink. Can’t fault the staff who intervened on a few occasions when another customer was becoming a nuisance to myself and saw I was uncomfortable. Apart from that enjoyed a few quite drinks and some good food, certainly wouldn’t question coming back on my own or with friends/family

Tried here 3 times now. Odd place - the atmosphere should be great but it feels off. Food is lovely but overpriced. Cocktails absolutely horrible - the worst we’ve ever had. Not a one off thing as they’ve been awful on all three occasions. If you bypass those and stick to the food it’s ok.

First time eating at Cubar and won’t be the last, food was amazing. The service was spot on and a great cocktail menu. Highly recommend if you like a bit of spice in your food.

We’ve been to Cubar before a couple of times and enjoyed the food. This time we chose to avoid the Valentine’s Day madness and went the day after. We love their cocktails. I had a caipirinha which was extremely potent. Husband had a margarita which was good, if rather small. We ordered the bread with dips plus the hummus and tzatziki expecting it to arrive before the hot dishes, but they all arrived together. The Cuban chicken wings were nice, and the calamari was delicious. I didn’t mind the belly pork but it was very fatty and not crispy. Husband was happy to finish that dish off! We had the valentines platter to share for dessert. The items on the plate were nice but someone had sprinkled the truffle very liberally with salt, which wasn’t nice. The portions are not big and this is not a cheap night out. However, the food and service is consistently good. Some rellies from the USA have demanded a night at Cubar and were happy to concede!

Came to Cubar for Sunday dinner. Service was excellent and staff friendly as always. Sunday roast was great portion sizes were generous. Extra roasties and Yorkshire pudding was no problem. Definitely recommend coming here to eat. Relaxing vibes.

We booked the entire ground floor of the restaurant for my wife's recent "significant" birthday. The booking - for almost fifty people of varying ages and dietary requirements - was handled with impeccable professionalism. The overall service from all the staff - too numerous to name here - was simply superb The atmosphere was absolutely superlative throughout the evening. Every single one of our guests enjoyed the event immensely. A lifetime memory for all of us.

Went to try the new Sunday menu at Cubar and the food was fabulous! The flavours were great and it was a good portion size! I would definitely recommend here! The food came with plenty of everything and a good amount of gravy! I followed up with a Creme brûlée which was also amazing! Will definitely be back

Dropped in on the off chance of a table on a Saturday lunchtime, for 2 people. They had space for us, but the acoustics are poor for me, as a hearing aid user. There were a couple of noisey groups in and I knew I wouldn't be able to chat to my friend. Asked to move table and were offered seating upstairs, which was closed but they let us sit up there, with the whole space to ourselves which was great! Food was lovely too!

Wow! We booked for a birthday celebration and we’re blown away by the food and the service! Bailey, our host for the evening was very friendly, attentive and kept us well informed throughout. The whole team were super friendly and polite with nothing being too much trouble. Everyone who came all agreed the food was simply delicious! We booked a tapas style buffet and what a fantastic selection of dishes we had and sooooo much of it. The cocktails we had were great too! We were travelling home and wanted somewhere to eat. We had an intended venue but no reservation. On parking our car we spotted CuBar, it looked great. Having decided to change our plan and visit CuBar we made a good choice. It was late on a Sunday evening so quiet. The staff were welcoming and helpful; outstanding in every way. The menu offers a wide range of tapas. Whilst there is so much more we might have tasted; we can recommend the Bread and Butter Board, Baked Camembert, Chorizo Sausage, Patatas Bravas and the Jalapeño Poppers. Our food was beautifully cooked and presented and filling. The Jalapeño Poppers are so good, they are worth a second mention! This is a unique place, superbly decorated with an air of sophistication. Credit to whoever puts the playlist together. It one of those places that’s perfect for a romantic occasion, friends and family get together, a special occasion or simply a great night out. If only CuBar was closer to us, it would a place we would visit on a regular basis. That said it’s so good we’ll be looking for an opportunity to go back.

Absolutely cracking way to spend a afternoon, very atmospheric venue. Amazing food, served by friendly staff. Saxophone played live in the background. A real A plus find of a place.

Very impressed with the new Plant Menu...so much choice! We had 9 dishes between 3 of us..it was hard to choose 9 as there were so many we wanted! The food was delicious and piping hot, could not fault it! Our waitress was lovely and extremely helpful and jolly. Will defo be back soon to try the other choices. Well done to the Chefs!

To celebrate the first anniversary of our move to Sandbach, we had early dinner at Cubar. We’ve been before a few times and never disappointed. The staff here are young, very friendly and attentive. We started off with cocktails - margaritas and caipirinhas which were delicious. Off the main menu (they have various menus to suit all diets) we had the pork dish, mini chorizos and patatas bravas. Although these are tapas sized portions, they’re generous. When we received our chorizo dish, we realised we needed bread to soak up the delicious oily sauce. Husband decided to have the extra jalapeño popper dish to himself, whilst I had dessert. To be honest, there is nothing on the main menu we wouldn’t order - they’re all so good. However, realistically, two dishes per person is our limit on food intake. Next time, we’ll do a fish based menu. Their calamari is amazing. Then there’s the soft shell crab, scallops…….we need another visit - soon!

Friends meet up after work midweek. Amazing food. Young waitress really nice. Every dish was perfect 10 out of 10. One of the nicest tapas I’ve had. Will definitely be returning!

We couldn't have asked for better service. Our host Stuart was attentive & very helpful - the meals were absolutely superb! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cubar to other people & we'll be back again very soon!

This was our 2nd visit to Cubar and we will definitely be going again. The staff go above and beyond to make your night. The manager Stuart is so friendly and really helpful when ordering food if you’ve not been before.Would definitely recommend the cocktails especially the appletini’s and the old fashioned and the crème brûlée is the best ever!! If you haven’t been would highly recommend you do, you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely love cubar. We have eaten here many times and have always had fantastic service and food. This month they accommodated us last minute for a family birthday party after the weather spoiled our original plans. Nothing was too much trouble and the manager helped plan everything with us and was absolutely amazing. Some of our party are vegetarian and vegan and they were shocked at how extensive the plant based menu was! The food really is gorgeous, with lots of choice. It’s a fab place with fab staff and Sandbach is lucky to have such a quirky venue on its doorstep. Definitely recommend.

Service from the waitresses was fantastic. The person that ruined with his attitude was the manager. Also to charge £5 for 4 slices if bread to be told when questioned about the misleading menu it's is ciabatta. Well ciabatta at 1.25 per slice disgusting it made out it came dips but oh no £5 for bread. The manager attitude was disgusting we spent a fair bit in there and we were there for a hen do he moaned at us for going through the bill in which I have to add was a dish for £12.50 we didn't receive so dead right we went through the bill. I would not entertain going back there purely because of the manager. Staff were all quite young and they were lovely I tipped one of them and said keep that for you.
