We've been there more then once, the Food was good but the customer service is the one of worst I ever experienced. The staff was never really very friendly, with in ignorant attitude but what we experiment this week, the Restaurant should get an award for the worst, customer service!!! We were on of the last customers eating there last Friday and my partner left his Jacket behind with his Keys. We went there over 5 times during the week to ask for it, always been told somewhen else to come back and no one was even bothered to have look, just rude comments the busy working and only staff in here. Been told only the Manager has a key to the room with the lost property and the staff apparently don't have any contact detail from their own manger. Today we come the time we been told yesterday to see the manager but again he wasn't in so we insisted to sitz in the Restaurant until the manager comes in, no long a kitchen staff came out and was more helpful and had a simple look under the counter and handed us the Jacket with the keys. WELL DONE!!! Definitely We won’t go back in the again.

I have been eating at this restaurant for a very long time, and the quality has been up and down. However our recent two visits were very satisfying. We always order large Lamb Shish. The lamb is cooked to perfection: juicy and smokey. They used to give us a choice of rice or chips, but it is just rice or cous cous. I hope they will go back offering chips. The service is friendly and efficient but the price went up. Now it's £12 to eat in and £11 to take away. Please note they do not accept American Express Card; we have so much hassle with them as they are listed for Shop Small Scheme.

Be very careful when you go to this kebab shop. The food is fine but they like to overcharge people. This is a popular late night spot frequented by drunk people. They take advantage of drunk people by having them tap their cards multiple times (and tell them that the first payment did not go through). If they are challenged, they give you the money back in cash but a lot of people clearly don't realise end up and paying double. Make sure they give you everything you order. They like to charge you for chips and then don't actually put them in the bag.

We made an order, we got a bowl of salad and some really thin bread and waited for over half an hour and what's worse is that they have served another table who arrived after us. Then I decided to go up to the till to pay for the salad and leave as the main meal did not come. We were then told that it's on its way with no apology for the waiting customer service was disgusting and the food and the portion of it was not worth the price at all. I will never go back again.

264-265 Upper StreetI’m too hungry to write well. But this is only the second time EVER that I have been to a restaurant that served our table NO FOOD. We arrived before 6pm and were shown to the basement - often not a good sign. We placed our order just after 6 and had to leave to get to the match by 7.20. There was no food by then. The poor waitress kept saying “five minutes” but was clearly getting nowhere. Of course it was down to really terrible management. And aggressive with it. Apparently we should have understood that it was a bit of a lottery whether any food would be served: the manager pointed proudly to two other tables where people had had to leave without getting any food at all. Clearly Gem was trying to profiteer off hungry fans and accepted every booking, even when the management must have known they were completely unable to serve everyone. I suppose it was a risk worth taking for the restaurant - just not for the customers. Gem by name but not by performance or attitude. Will buy some halloumi on the way home…
