Crystal palace bar glasgow in Inverclyde

Went for breakfast on a Friday morning. Place was very busy and lots of tables Wii dirty plates. Went to sit on high stools tables to by told by a staff member “before you make yourselves comfortable under 18s aren’t allowed on high seats.” I would have left but we were on a tight schedule so stayed. We ended up having to clear plates of a table ourselves. The menus were sticky and overall the place felt dirty. We ordered different breakfasts. My beans & bacon were lukewarm. I’m not a fan of Wetherspoons as I hate chained restaurants but I expect to have been given a decent breakfast. We ate breakfast in the Sir John Moore Wetherspoons the day before and it was so much better. I would not be back here.

Was there Friday night with my friend.. we wanted a fish and chips with a pint.. great we thought Wetherspoons are ideal... We headed to crystal Palace in centre of Glasgow.. I've been in many Spoons.. my local is Esquire in Anniesland So we got there.. got a table right away at 5.30 pm.. we both had the app but wifi was poor soy mate went to bar after checking the menu and order for table 21.. To our disappointment.. no fish.. 5.30pm on a Friday night shocking.. We then decided on Wiltshire ham chips eggs ,and mushy peas as I have had this before and always nice.. we waited at our table.. pints arrived.. then dinner came. We looked at our plate then looked at each other. Two cheap thin slices of some crap processed horrible gammon or spam or whatever it was.. it was vile.. will never eat again in this place..

A friend persuaded me to go to Weatherspoons as it was convenient for where were staying. I won’t be going again. The service was half-hearted at best, with service from the bar staff verging on hostile; I kept wondering what we’d done to upset them (surely not the fact that we’re English?). The food seemed ok and is admittedly very cheap, but I regretted it for the whole of the next day, when I suffered the worst upset stomach of my life. Since I was only in town for the weekend, spending almost half of it looking for a toilet wasn’t the most fun I’ve had. All in all it was more of a 0/5 than a 1/5 and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, unless you’re just planning to get very drunk and then throw up in the underpass next door (which does seem to be a popular option on a Saturday night in Glasgow).

Wetherspoons establishments never pretend to be something they are not. You know what you’ll get, and I’ve never had a bad meal. Today was no exception. I had sirloin steak )which was cooked exactly the way I like it (medium rare), baked potato and roast vegetables (which was very nice too), served with a Camden Hells lager. An enjoyable - great value for money - meal. The place was busy, which made for a good ambiance. It was clean, the staff were friendly. My only piece of ‘advice’ - when serving steak to a customer, please provide a steak knife, as opposed to an ordinary dinner knife.

Staff were rude told us too busy go for condiments that had run out . Told one of our service users forgot put her order sauce through and left and staff in general rude to our group who were mix learning/physical disabilities

why is this pub still open?. Such an unfriendly and rude staff. Do not ever visit this place. Such a terrible place to ruin your mood.

Nice food and good prices, unfortunately the experience was ruined by unfriendly staff. Not only were staff rude to us at closing time, they were unfriendly, bordering on aggressive, to a party at the next table. Would have been back for the food but not willing to give business to staff who are willing to pick a fight with customers rather than show basic manners

Treatment from bar staff was absolutely disgusting when we went here for a drink on our way back to our hotel. We were asked to leave after some of our party had got food which was not being eaten on their premises. Staff surrounded the table and removed drinks and we were spoken to in a very degrading manner. I work in hospitality and would never treat any customer in this way. If I could give no stars that would be too many! If you are visiting the city I would avoid at all costs.

This is possibly the worst place I have ever been treated in anywhere I have travelled in the world. The staff were so aggressive & abnoxious surrounding our table taking paid drinks of us & demanding we leave even though they continued to serve locals with shots. I would never recommend this place to anyone & it would put me off recommending this city to anyone again. Shocking customer service!!!

The Crystal Palace is a large branch of Wetherspoons. Arranged over two floors, we found the downstairs a bit quieter. It serves the standard Wetherspoons meals, which we ordered via their app and were delivered shortly afterwards. Wetherspoons prices are always reasonable and the food was good.

Wanted eggs Benedict didn’t have any Benedict???? Or poached egg either ??? Obviously no one can cook a poached egg in here cooked breakfast with fried egg????? Was Luke warm when it even arrived one good point coffee was great

There is a big problem with security guys. You must be careful when going outside the pub because they can decide not allow you back. One of my colleague went outside for smoke and they decided to not allow her back. So my other colleague go out to have a look what's going on and he cant back too so they call to me and I went to check what going on and I cant back as well. The security guy said then we are to drank but we wasn't. I cant even go in with one of the security guy to tell to the rest then we will not back. I've been lucky then I have all my belonging with me other wise I will probably have to call police to go in for my jacket and everything else.

Walking around Glasgow city centre we stopped at this Wetherspoon. Typical standard Wetherspoon food, quick to order and served, always a fair place, fais prices. Friendly staff, we sat upstairs, big place, a lot of tables. We enjoyed it

Just been in here for breakfast this morning & what a joke this place is. Tea & coffee is self service out of a machine. By the time my breakfast arrived I had to leave my table & go get myself my coffee I had paid for.The queue was quite long with seven folk in front waiting to use the machine.By the time I finally got my latte & went back to my table my breakfast was cold. I told a member of staff but he didn't seem interested. I didn't miss much the breakfast was not up to much. Very bland & swimming in beans.I wouldn't waste my time ever going back here, food & staff need to take a hard look at this.Also toilets were not clean. Ended up leaving without using the toilet. Place is a joke & certain staff have an attitude problem. Get off your high horse & listen to your customers.

Después de lo que había sido una noche maravillosa, mi hermano y yo decidimos probar en este lugar, y tengo que decir que me gustaría que no hubiese sido así. Era tarde 11:45 y el guardia me detuvo (el pelo gris vuelta por un lado y águila en el medio) nos dijeron que no podíamos ir ya que mi hermano era demasiado borrachos. Esto tenía sentido absoluto como no habíamos tocado una gota de alcohol durante toda la noche. Si este idiota de un guardia me detuvo había molestado por sonda gerente, que han descubierto que mi hermano es de hecho minusválidos. Esta Moron de un hombre parecía llevar un gran placer ruidosamente anunció a todos sin excepción (a pesar del hecho de que él parecía apenas capaz de encadenar una frase juntos) que no pudimos ir. Sospecho que la derogación razón por la que no nos dieron entrada fue debido a que el pub cerraba a las 12:00 y que no querían estar allí más que tenían. La admiración absoluta vergüenza y por este idiota no poder explicar la diferencia entre la embriaguez y discapacidad, bien en mi opinión debería ser despedida.

Local next to place of work often have breakfast or dinner 2 or 3 times a week. Staff always great and prices pretty good value for a city center pub.

Yo, mi esposa, y su primo visitamos Glasgow en marzo y nos alojamos en el hotel Jurys Inn en la calle encantador de Jamaica. dos noches que salimos a comer y encontramos el palacio de cristal. Era tarde y todo estaba cerrando así que estamos greatfull libre para decir que el director hizo todo lo posible para ir al patio extra y pedirle el chef y el personal si se han importado que sirve comida en esta tarde y que sonreían animándonos abliged. Nos fuimos para el 14 al día madurado Aberdeen angus Steak y he de decir que al acuerdo en que estaba perfectamente preparada y estaba buenísimo que estaba lleno a mitad del camino a través pero sólo tenía que finlandés. Era tan buena que volvimos la noche siguiente y tenía la gambas y pescado que era tan agradable.

Como todo Wetherspoons, la comida es bastante buena, y básicamente tienes lo que pagas. Hubo una confusión en el bar con mi pedido de comida, noté el recibo como entré. El muchacho que me sirvió, corregido la situación enseguida, tan buen servicio lo suficientemente. Comida muy rápido (pero no te puedes equivocar con pollo envuelve). Aunque sólo nos trajo de cubiertos y dijo que volveríamos en un minuto con más. Él nunca reapareció ... Es bastante normal, pero si quieres algo lujoso, no me supongo que escogería un pub de cadena.

Llena de Stranglers ventiladores y lugareños. esperar un poco en el bar, pero no hay problema, ya que la variación de las bebidas es excelente. Llegamos alrededor de las 5 pm los viernes por la noche y estaba muy lleno. un acogedor bar que tiene escocesa y juegos mostrando inglesa de fútbol. unas cuantas personas a mediodía del día siguiente. Una mezcla de todos los grupos de edad.

Fuimos para una comida ... pescado era perfecto.Mi marido estaba contento con su curry.esperar unos 30 minutos, pero fue realmente bueno.

sabes lo que te vas a encontrar con un pub de Wetherspoons pero este en particular está excelentemente situado junto a la estación central para cualquiera que acaba de llegar a Glasgow por tren.

I visited the crystal palace bar in February and service was good the only poor point was where I was sitting I could see through the back when the staff opened the door and seen washed glasses in a try on the floor but staff had a smile and was pleasant even when busy at the bar would go back because of this and would recommend this bar for a great selection of ales and lagers and bottled beers so if in Glasgow pop in and give it a go cheap drink and smile can't be bad
