Crownfish Bar in Peterborough

Ordered cod & chips twice with curry sauce. Fish was not cod or even haddock, very little batter and I would hate to see what a small one was. Curry sauce was so thick we had to add water. Would not waste my money at this shop. Overpriced and definitely not cod, was more like a cheap battered fish from supermarket savers section

Stopped in for some chips, everything cooked fresh. Absolutely banging meal. Reviews made me bit dubious but so glad I stopped in, some good quality food with friendly service. Thank you

It was hot a fairly priced. Quality was poor, chips greasy. Chicken burger looked like something from a box of 6 for 50p from Iceland and tasted that way too.

Best take away in Peterborough. The staff are friendly too

Ordered 2 x mini cod & chips & battered sausage with chips and curry sauce, food was outstanding and very tasty! 10/10 well done crown fish bar I'll be back soon

took nearly 2 hours for food to arrive. food was ok, but not worth the wait. was told they were really busy... yea great... dont lie when customers ring to see where their food is saying its on the way when its only just being cooked 90 minutes after receiving the order... i know this is the case cos the food was hot/freshly cooked when it arrived. 2 hours later. don't try getting new customers if this is the best service you can provide - they (we) wont order again.

Home delivery of 2 fish and 1 order of chips (£16.60 total), fish was luke warm and chips were cold (like old chips from early day service).. Over priced and cold... Disappointing especially when we live just down the road from the shop..

Staff are very friendly and welcoming and is why is is getting 2 stars and not just 1 the food was awful. Chips under cooked and the fish looked the part but was not what i would class as edible. On top of that the sausages where not pork. I understand that some people dont eat pork but you could at least advertise the fact that you dont sell pork and the sausages are turkey

I have just eaten the best fish and chips, since I left the Midlands, 30 years ago!...they even do potato scallops 😌. Delivery via Just Eat was very fast and driver friendly. Highly recommend the Crown Fish Bar

Ordered a sausage and chips, not sure how this could go wrong but how I was proven wrong. This was absolutely disgusting and in honesty I feel unsafe​, hence leaving a review and not contacting them. The chips we're half raw and cold, half hot. It's a potato guys, goes in fryer and out when cooked, not before. The sausage I believe had been sat there for a few days at least, the outside was hard and crusty as if left heated for a long time, that horrible carbon like texture, and parts of the sausage were cold which suggested it was reheated from a previous day. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I have to incase someone falls I'll from this place. Sort it out guys, have some passion in whatever food you are serving people.

Small fish and chips shop. You can get food quickly, but there are cheaper places around.

Come here quite often , the staff friendly and quick as can be . Never have to wait to long here for my food . The food is always nice ever find the fish greasy the pies dry or the batter over cooked

How hard can it be? Take my order and my money give me food. Give me wrong food w when I point out its the wrong food refuse to change it because that's what I ordered and only change it when another customer backs me up by which time I cant be bothered to wait any longer.... Oh and the mushy peas needed armbands

So fresh, amazing batter and the sausage is just PERFECT, The chips are so good, I go back regularly and the quality is always consistent and the owner is very friendly, HIGHLY RATED

Best place to go, chips are fantastic, don't get me started on the fish, crunchy batter on the outside, soft cooked fish on the inside. Not only that, I had gone for seconds and got myself Donner meat and chips. ALSO....there on JUST EAT aswell!! I've I had a slogan for this shop, "Fast, Friendly...the best!"

I'm afraid the cod wasn't cod and that doesn't make up for the pleasant chips!

Always great value and great tasting food

Was very disapointed I got a burger and chips meal. The portion size is ridiculous its like its a meal for a child it was that small and for £3.50 differently not value for money. It was the first time I have used this place and its defernetly the last as well even if it was the only place open. I would of given less stars but minimum 1 star so I cant. I do not recommend this place at all

The worst chip shop ever. Food was rank. This place needs to be shut down. Years ago this was a great place.
