Fantastic service and food. Onion bajhis were amazing! Chicken pathia and garlic chilli curry were very good.

Top marks for food, service and setting. Great vegetarian options, good portion sizes and tasty dishes. Recommended.

Very friendly staff that make you feel at ease & happy to help!I've lived in Pwllheli all my life and can hands down say this is the best Indian food I've had! Four of us ate here tonight, booked in advance. Friendly welcome and the service throughout was friendly attentive and helpful from everyone. Have to say I was slightly nervous about food quality from mixed reviews but fears were misplaced, as all of us were made up with our shared starters and mains, taste, texture, portion size all great and the naan breads were fresh and bloated. Vibe and decor felt really comfortable. Will definitely come again.

We booked in last minute which they adapted for very well. Very clean and welcoming. Abided and adhered to all regulations in place with the current Covid situation. Great customer service received by all staff. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the chefs special which consisted of mutton amd zesty Lime spices and I’ve got to say it’s one of the best curries ive had!! We was a family of 5 and we had lots left over to which the staff was more then happy to tray up for us to take home. What a great experience !!! We will defo return soon. Many thanks to all staff we had a great experience meeting and sitting eating at your great establishment. See you very soon.

Lovely place. Excellent service. Went there with our 3 year old. Got a great kids meal served same time as our wonderful, rich and flavoursome curries. Between us we had lamb bhuna and garlic chilli chicken, mushroom rice and paratha. Lamb fell off the fork, proper to-die-for consistency of meat. Lovely chicken that beautifully absorbed the flavours in the sauce. Because of toddler whims I also ended up eating some fish fingers. This was an added bonus really, they were lovely too! I think this is a family restaurant and it shows, service is caring and attentive and homely.

Very enjoyable meal here. Great onion bhaji and mulligatawny to start. Mutton with cabbage was tender and very tasty as was chicken sagwala. Generous portions too.

Had a Chicken Pathia tonight with a garlic nan and it was fantastic. Well worth a visit. Food is always tasty and worth what you pay for.

we visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the landlord of the property we were staying at. We ordered poppadoms and four sauces. The poppadoms were soft and they forgot one of the sauces.when ordering our main course we were told there was no lamb left. This was at 8pm. Then I overheard that if you ordered takeaway you could get lamb! Which doesn't seem fair to me as we would spend more money in a restaurant. The service was very slow for eat in and takeawy. The chicken which was what was left to order was very dry. Whilst I understand we are in difficult times the restaurant should focus on either takeaway or eating in to give the best service to their customers. Until they sort that out I would not recommend eating here at all.

Probably the best Indian restaurants in Pwhelli,really friendly staff, great food very tasty, lamb was so tender, will be back. I really dont understand some of the negative comments.

Booked a table for 4 adults & 4 children over a week in advance. The waiter was great, rushed off his feet but was really great with the kids. The food was really nice. We all got starters/poppodoms and then enjoyed our curries with sides. The kids enjoyed their children's meals which was fish fingers or chicken nuggets.My middle range review is based on the atmosphere due to the table slot times. The main person came over and she explained we had to be out in 40 minutes although we hadn't received our starters yet. She said this should have been explained when booking over the phone but unfortunately it wasn't so there was some confusion. It left us feeling very rushed so overall we didn't relax and enjoy the experience.

Greeted by friendly member of staff and shown to our table which was dirty with leftover sticky food. I pointed this out to a member of staff who kindly did her best to clean it up and apologised. We ordered drinks and after some confusion we eventually got what we ordered. Three different curries were ordered and they all looked the same and did not look appetising. There was also a mildly unpleasant smell in the restaurant. I am not sure if this place was fully Covid compliant and I certainly would not recommend this restaurant !

There was 11 of us, it was packed and they were still doing take outs as well, and it had only just opened two weeks ago, but oh my goodness the food was fab the staff were great even though some had only just started that evening. I fully recommend a visit to to this place as we will certainly be going back again

Called in without a reservation and enjoyed a very good meal. Great service and good portions too. I would recommend booking in August 2020 as very few restaurants are open due to COVID.

Really lovely food. Arrived 30 mins after we ordered & was piping hot. Staff were very helpful & polite. And we will definitely go back.

I’ve had a takeaway for here several times since it opened. The food has always been great and the staff very polite. Would recommend this restaurant if you want a nice Indian meal. It may be expensive but the food is worth it. Out of the two Indian restaurants in Pwllheli, I would say this is the best.

We have been getting deliveries from this restaurant every Saturday for many weeks now. They are always timely and reliable, even though we live outside their usual delivery area. The food is really great, always hot, and the portions are generous. The sag bhaji is the best I have ever had, ever. Thanks very much.

This is the 4th time we’ve ordered here and this time we had home delivery. Food came within 40 minutes despite living 15 minutes out of the area! (Very impressed) And the food was still piping hot. The lamb dishes contain absolutely no fat at all (one thing we can’t stand) it falls apart! Would DEFINITELY recommend, the best Indian in the area with good portion sizes, will definitely be returning. Thankyou very much xx

Ordered a takeaway woman said we don’t normally do sauces but as we are not busy ( not surprised) we will do then .Apparently I was looking at the lunchtime menu where the prices were £2.50. I have been charged £3.40 but there is nothing on the evening menu re prices. The portions were so small you could dip a couple of chips in it . We also asked for our side dishes to be hotter we have charged extra. There is nothing on the menu. saying hotter dishes were dearer. The flavour of the curry was awful. If you go to Pwllheli I would advise against ordering from here.

This was our ist takeaway hear so was so looking forward to a good India takeaway However I have to say was so disappointed onion bhaji ok Veg samosa soggy Butter chicken was like a oil slick tasteless also chicken tasted boiled then but in the sauce also cooked Rice okChapati was burnt and hardI would try again but other dishesThey have to improve if they wanting this to take off in the area They will have to up there game im afraid

Had a takeaway the other day from here seeing as polash is now closed on tuesdays. This is my second takeaway from the jewel, first time the meat was tough but just gave it a pass seeing as its a new business. Second time worse- meat was more tough and food very flavourless. Feel like i had an asda meal. The waitress had a sarcastic look, fealt uncomfortable. Wont be returning any time soon. Such a shame, such potential there to good.

Had the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Staff are attentive and great. Please do your own trip adviser page as it’s not really connected to the pub. The food was delicious. Yes the food was a little slow but hopefully it will get a little faster next time we come. Ignore the negative comments from moaners always 1!!! I love this place and I hope it’s a huge success. Well done and keep up the hard work. All we need now is a decent Italian in Pwhelli!!!

Went to enjoy a curry with friends on Saturday evening, we had booked. The restaurant was less than 50% full. Firstly, they didn't appear to be expecting us, however, showed us to a table in a very brightly lit area of the room. The decor is very nice , lovely pointing of the expsed stone, but very harshly lit. Three members of staff visible & a drinks & poppadum order taken & prompltly delivered. We had to prompt the waitress to take our meal order , the starters arrived reasonably quickly, but a long delay before anything else appeared..........then, a repeat order of the starters ! Eventually our main course arrived approx one & a quarter hours after our arrival. The staff didn't know the difference between the rice dishes ( piau/vegetable/coconut) , the naan breads never arrived & the food was OK but not hot & a distinct 'skin' had formd on the tarkha dhall. The reason being they were short of a chef. Why then did they continue to take orders for takeaways if they were not coping? Such a shame, Pwllheli town centre is crying out fr a decent restaurant. On a plus side, the staff were friendly if disorganised.

Our first visit to the jewel in the crown in pwllheli didn’t disappoint. The food was great and the team were so welcoming. Definitely worth a visit. We will be going back!

We stayed at the crown hotel , tue-sat the landlady & landlord , Sarah & Ashe made us very welcome . , the room was lovely & clean , they have parking facility at the rear of the pub for residents.. will certainly be returning later on in the year .

This new venture opened 5 days ago (on 24th Jan) so we had to give it a go. Booked a table for 6 and it was nice to see a freshly decorated and fresh place, we have never been to the Crown Hotel before. We were shown to our table ordered drinks cobra beer and studied the menu, which is quite extensive.

We went here yesterday . Staff really nice . The food was really nice . We are here 2 years ago and we all commented on their chips brilliant . Friendly pub with good food

We went to this pub for sunday lunch which going by the pictures advertised on facebook looked great. The food was absolutely appalling! The starter i had was garlic mushroom on ciabatta, was soggy and awful, turns my stomach every time i think of it. The main was terrible, veg tasted like vinegar, hard chicken, awful dry stuffing and the yorkshire pudding was so chewy it was a disaster. I have been off work today due to sickness and i believe I'm sick because of this meal as it is the only thing i ate on Sunday. I completely regret going to this place for lunch. I don't understand how this place has been rated so well by others, its run down and grotty!

Still sat in The Crown with our 2 dogs having consumed a steak pie dinner (hubby) and a corned beef pie Dinner, we are more than happy with the lovely home made grub we've just had. The place is a little dark and in need of a little TLC, and if you can get past that it is absolutely recommended.

We visited as quite a large table number, were seated straight away and were waited in hand and foot for everything. We had the compulsory Sunday roast on a Sunday and I cannot recommend it enough, it was delicious! Some had soup to start, others had prawn cocktail to start and both were delicious. We all opted for the beef with our roasts and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked beautifully and the homemade horseradish tasted unbelievable! We had young children with us and they were happy to serve the children's food with our starters with no problems at all. A very homely feel to this place and the food was lovely. Every plate was cleared and almost licked clean thank you so much for your hospitality

Decided to try here for Sunday dinner. Three course for £13 We were not disappointed. The beef melted in your mouth and there was plenty of it. The gravy was so nice too. Plenty of veg accompanied the meal. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely return. Lovely meal. We were also shown the newly transformed rooms upstairs in the hotel. Very spacious and clean. Very good value

Well what can i say about this place. What a great place to go an have a few drinks with mates. Great atmosphere. Absolutely great here when the rugby is on. New manager is very friendly behind the bar. I would recommend this place. Very nice and clean.

We stayed for a couple of nights here. Rooms were kept clean, friendly staff, Bethan was a very attentive member of staff making us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Considering the age of the building, rooms were fine apart from the occasional creaking floorboard, haha all adds the the atmosphere of the place

Enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch here with family. The choice and quality of the food was second to none. Choice of 4 meats, 3 varieties of potato, 2 each of peas and carrots plus other veg. What a pity it was spoiled by the staff. Although they were attentive enough their method of communicating with each other was loud and came over as rude. One likes to enjoy a meal in quiet and tranquil atmosphere.

Lovely friendly pub with a separate room for eating. The food was fantastic and the staff brilliant. Very good selection on the menu, we ended up having the salmon, sea bass, steak and battered halloumi and they were all lovely. One of us had the calamari as a starter and said it was perfectly cooked.

Amazing Sunday carvery again today 2nd visit in a month happy helpful and polite staff nice warm atmosphere plenty of choice and homemade everything was excellent will definitely be back again thank you x

We had a lovely surprise when we arrived the place was decorated fantastic for our meal.The food was great and the service was top marks. Would recommend having your Christmas party there you wont be disapointed .

This place has to be one of Pwllheli's hidden gems. You will find the crown on the high street. We advise you to book a table before hand. The food is out of this world. We had a fantastic service. All around a Great Experience. We will be back.

A large open plan town centre pub with 3 seating areas all with a separate TV. The Sauvignon blanc was exceptionally good. It was quite quiet in the bar on a Saturday evening but the restaurant was pretty busy. A characterful pub.

On holiday and we thought we would try the Sunday carvery. Could not fault the carvery, the meat just melted in your mouth. You can chose three individual meats, we had Pork,Turkey and Beef. Well cooked and the choice of veg was outstanding. We both agreed it was one of the best we have ever had. Thanks.

Came to Pwllheli for the day and just nipped in as it was lunch time, the food was superb lovely and fresh..... The first carvery I've been with edible cauliflower ( usually hard ) lots of choice of both meat and vegetables. Nice to see the fresh items coming out in small batches to save it standing too long.

We we're looking for somewhere to eat on Saturday evening and had some really nice food and good service too. The Welsh black burger was cooked to perfection and not overdon and dry like most places I've been to recently. The staff didn't mind my 2 year olds attempts to run riot and he ate all his food too
