Cross Roads Fish Bar in City of London, Westminster

I have just moved to Kingston Upon Thames and am incredibly lucky to have this place close to me. The best fish and chips I have ever had in london. Being a picky Yorkshireman, I prefer haddock to cod and the fish was huge, made to order and perfectly cooked. My wife and I shared a fantastic large portion of chips between us, very generous sized. Very friendly service from the owner. We will be back for a bi monthly fish and chip fix!

I used to live locally. Everybody knows this is the best fish and chip shop in Kingston. Simple menu,everything is fresh, quick and plentiful. A proper chippie.!

both Cod and Haddock, cooked to order. Probably the best in the area. Worth the cycle from Hampton Wick! Only cardiac batter could' improve' it.

We have lived in Kingston since 2012; when we lived close to this F&C shop. The food is always extremely fresh, tasty, well cooked and sold with a smile. When we move dot the other side of Kingston we tried local shops but soon realised that a short drive back to Cross Road fish bat was the best option. It’s difficult to identify the best chip shop in new places, but undoubtedly this place is great.

I have been coming to this restaurant for my Friday night fish & chips for years... It’s family run, always get a friendly smile & chat with service & food is always fresh... I would highly recommend...

Quick & delicious fish & chips. I also prefer the way they wrap it up with paper compared to the cardboard others use that ends up with the fish a bit soggy after a walk home. The owners are very nice as well. Zero complaints!

It's just what you hope a fish and chip shop would be. Simple layout and menu, super-friendly couple running the show, so popular there's a queue if you go at the wrong time. Top food hygiene rating. All the locals know it and love it. Take away only.

I am very fortunate, living equidistant between 3 Fish & Chip shops in North Kingston-upon-Thames. When we first moved here 24 years ago I always used to go to the one slightly closer, which also did Chinese takeaway. The reason I stopped going there was that they lost their chinese chef, so then pared-down the chinese food side of things...that and the fact that the owner became more and more "miserable", on the scale that you could almost "taste" the misery in the atmusphere when you walked in, and even though I used to phone ahead my order, I would still dread the short wait before collecting my order! I therefore moved to one whcih was a little further away, and whcih doesn't do chinese takeaway, but their chips are wonderful and the fish...I normally go for cod, whcih is really tasty, and if you go for the "large", meaty and juicy from the "head end", so you benefit form all those wonderful fishy, creamy flakes... The chips are all hand-cut and the couple who run the place work so hard it is a shame more people don't give the place their custom.

Possibly best fish and chips I've had. Fish is fresh tasting, chips taste great and the batter is good.

Staying at Kingston hill wanted some fish and chips this was nearest shop really pleased we found it as probably best fish and chips we've had for a long time haddock was very large and chips crispy on outside all cooked to perfection and very reasonable price for the area happy and friendly staff too
