I had booked because of the reviews but left disappointed, this was a family birthday celebration mid week. The garlic buttered prawn was missing the garlic butter then came out of the packet and put on a dish with some cooked tomatoes. The lasagna was a brown mess with no flavour. The sea bass risotto was stodgy rice with no flavour, certainly not how a risotto is cooked. The sea bass and scallop was cooked lovely the rice just let it down. The staff were polite but we weren't looked after we didn't get asked once how was our meal otherwise we would have raised all these points. Wouldn't recommend. Won't be going back.

Had an excellent Sunday lunch with family here. They were very accommodating ensuring that we were all able to sit in the same area but still maintaining social distancing. The food was excellent and a great choice. Even though we were a large group (all social distance correctly) they still managed to serve us all at the same time. The staff were polite and helpful.

We visited today around 5.30 for a lovely roast. We were served by a lovey young girl called Chloe. She was very pleasant and served us with a smile. Will definitely recommend this pub.

First experience, amazing pub to visit. Lovely staff that have all got the social distancing on point! With some amazing food!

One of the best meals we have ever had. Our waitress was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. A nice clean place and very welcoming with a nice real fire burning in the grate. We will definitely be returning as was also good value for money.

Fantastic food. Hot, tasty and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were generous and value for money. Staff were attentive and friendly and the pub had a welcoming atmosphere. This is my 4th visit here and absolutely love it. Will be back!

A nice, cosy pub (if you can get over the fruit flies and slow table clearing). Decent value for good quality drinks, fab selection, and a really good sized enclosed beer garden which is great for kids and dogs. The food isn't amazing as it's mostly frozen and reheated, although the sharing boards are pretty good value. If I'm being perfectly honest, the management do let this place down. The waiting staff are generally lovely, although I've witnessed management snapping at them multiple times. Management are also rude to customers, very slow to serve people waiting at the bar, and my pet hate - Whinging at staff or about customers IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS.I'll reiterate though, it's good for a drink, particularly in summer when you can sit outside.

Very nice food and atmosphere. Tim the manager was great and found us a table at short notice. We really enjoyed the food and presentation of it Lovely decor and competitive prices

I reviewed here before giving 5/5. Wow what a different experience this time. My partner ordered our lunch from the lunch deal where you could have a dessert for £3 more. Whilst ordered we asked what the crumble was and minutes after ordering we went back to say we both wanted a dessert each too for the £3. It was literally minutes after the order was processed but they refused to allow us to have the deal. The manager was called over who was extremely rude! He wouldn’t allow us to have the deal and just gave our money back. He didn’t want to keep us happy. Such a shame as we visit here often. We won’t be returning. I work in customer service and he should have tried to keep us happy. I’m sure they could just reprocess the transaction especially as it was minutes later. My advice is to avoid here as we will he and all our friends, family and work colleagues will be.

4 kids, 2 parents and a grannie. Served with great food by accommodating staff. Activities for kids and a wonderful traditional feel to the pub- perfect.

Stopped for lunch on way home from Devon warm friendly welcome from all staff, delicious steak and red wine pie with fresh vegetables and great chips, enjoyed in a large garden area . + dogs welcome

Popped in for an evening meal with family. Service was very slow even though the place wasn't busy. Felt as though it was a real effort for the staff to attend to your needs. Meal came - was ok, nothing to write home about. Didn't bother with the deserts due to the lack of service. Ladies toilet out of order at time of the visit.

None of the staff knew the word 'hello' and didn't think they could smile either, but more about that later. They barely uttered a few words to us, coming to take the order and just standing waiting instead of saying much. Service was at a leisurely pace but I can't even remember the food so it must have been OK. It was only as we left that they broke the smiles out - with cheery goodbyes from all staff. We didn't complain whilst there and we were saying our pleases and thank yous with a smile so the joy with which they greeted our departure was totally unexpected.

Called in for lunch was shown to seating straight away. Enjoyed the swift friendly service. My friend and I both had a two course lunch. The pate was wonderful with some tasty toasted bread. Can't wait for my next visit
