Crooklets Beach Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I'm not local but come to Bude regularly as my partner lives here and always come to Crooklets. Lovely food, wonderful friendly staff and great local atmosphere. Been here twice for lunch in a week! And cakes are delicious 😋 See you all again soon!

Fabulous little cafe/bar. Superb friendly service, great atmosphere, deals, bands, drinks, food, hot chocolate is amazing, coffee is incredible, very reasonably priced, they were even happy to serve a snakebite and black, couldn't want for more. Plenty of room, location and view from the outside seating area is glorious, whatever the weather it's a little gem.

Fabulous cafe right on the Oceans edge. Wonderful food, great service and often live music on weekends.

Our first visit to the Beach Cafe was the perfect way to start a sunny Sunday morning. The coffee was lovely and hot a bonus when you have alternative milk. Poached eggs and avocado on sourdough toast was the best I have had. Bonus, they are very dig friendly. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back

Got a cheese panini and it just tasted of tuna obviously from before and not cleaned . disgusting

My partner is celiac and the staff were so accommodating, lovely and considerate. I would 100% recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the local area.

Great food, great staff, great location and reasonably priced as well. And some very good live music events. This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or just a drink as it's fully licensed with a good selection of bar drinks as well. Make sure you go when in Bude.

Just a quick stop for coffee after walking the dogs on the beach. Great view, plenty of parking, lots of seating and quick table service.

I think we’ve tried most of the breakfasts in Bude now and this one is our favourite by far. So pleased we found it. Top quality ingredients, good value, friendly service, hot food, and a choice of sitting inside, outside undercover or outside outside. Plus it’s a fabulous location next to the sea. The best hot chocolate we’ve found so far too. We’ve been a few times now, would highly recommend!

Great place, after a VERY windy walk (storm Darragh) a welcome place to visit. Live music, great atmosphere 👌

Visited the first week of the school holidays. I had Gluten Free scones which were amazing. Friendly staff. We sat under outside under cover and watched the sea go out.

Food was lovely, most staff where nice but I was really upset with one member of staff. I had to step out for a long, important call and one lady was kind enough to offer to heat up my food when I got back. Very pleased with that! But I kept a eye on my table and the man who came and got my food, showed the bowl of vegetables I had to the table next to me and shook his head? Very upsetting, I had to go back and sit next to the table who saw my food, I'm not even sure what he was saying but I'm appalled. It's not even that he thought I left all my food and wasn't coming back, the whole point was to heat up my food. Also when I ordered my vegetables to eat with my hallumi they seemed confused but vegetables are on the menu as a side, so what's confusing? The menus are also out of date, spinach bites they no longer sell. Mocha was good, you also get a huge pile of hallumi so the food and most of the staff where nice enough apart from the one man.

Popped in with the family for breakfast😋 Was a bit taken back with the price tho🤨 At £9.50 (nov 2024), i thought it was a little steep with only getting 1 sausage🙄 (although u can add more sausages 🙂 £2.50ea😲). But this was our only real issue tbf 😁 plenty of external and loads of internal seating space and fully dog friendly. Can get very busy at times, yet you can pre-book seating, avoiding disappointment. Polite friendly staff is a great attribute to the cafe🥰 and the food came out quickly and was hot. Although we didn't leave fully fulfilled🙄 breakfast, it could have been bigger🤔 (but this is just our opinion).

A great beach for all including dogs, outdoor swimming pool powered by the sea.... VERY COLD.

Frequent visitors here, usually dashing in to avoid the next rain shower! Warming hot chocolate or more warming rum, it's always busy, and whatever the weather it has a good outlook across the beach. Reasonably priced.

Popped in to get a warm drink on a rainy day in October, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and served with lovely smiles! With a fast service we took our drinks out for a walk along the beach to keep us warm! Thank you 🤩

Found this little gem of a place. Excellent service. Quality food. Friendly staff. Booked for a Sunday roast - What a pleasant surprise! This roast was right up there! Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection- Roast pork or beef, homemade Yorkshire pud, carrots, broccoli stems, swede, cauliflower cheese, roasties and proper homemade gravy. Delicious Did I mention it was dog friendly - perfect

Great little cafe, very busy and popular.Only down side about this cafe no toilets you have to use the public toilets outside, not very nice !

All in all an enjoyable experience, the food, drinks and service are all pretty good as beach side places go. Music most Sundays and some other days / evenings. What better way to spend a summer's afternoon or evening than on the beach with food, drink and live music whilst watching the sea or the sun set? Well done you guys 👍

Absolutely great place to eat or have a coffee. The prices are good and the food is great. The staff were excellent with us and the owner went out of his way to allow us to keep our luggage there whilst we waited for our train home. Would definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.

Quite a good cafe, great food, reasonable prices. Staff mostly friendly! Usually always got some live music on! Large selection of drinks, soft & alcoholic. Definitely recommend the halloumi fries which were cooked to perfection

Cracking place on the beach. Cream tea with two scones £6.50!! Lovely scones too. We'll be back for something else too!!

The staff went out of their way to overcome a mix up with an order. They rectified it and went above and beyond ordinary customer service. To cap it all, the food is exceptional!

Just like to say, what a welcoming establishment you are dog friendly the food was absolutely wonderful and I really did enjoy the jazz music that was on. I will certainly come again. What a fab afternoon.

Crooklets Beach Café in Bude is an absolute gem! Whether you visit in the morning, afternoon, or evening, the vibe is always on point. The food here is incredible—especially the BBQ pulled pork panini, which I enjoyed so much that I had one every day during my 5-day stay! I've been surfing Crooklets for 40 years and I've seen this cafe improve year on year.

Always enjoy going to crooklets. They are always welcoming.

I have been going for years now and it’s a beautiful spot to keep returning to. Added bonus, live music. I spent a day at this cafe while doing a charity fundraiser and the owner of the cafe couldn't have been more welcoming. All the staff are incredibly friendly, often coming to check on our group and see how our day was going. The food was incredible for a great price, and service was fast. Later in the afternoon they had live music playing with an array of fantastic sing along songs - classics live Proud Mary, Parklife, Mr. Brightside. Our group stayed for drinks to celebrate after our fundraiser and the cafe has a great array of choice for alcohol. If I'm ever back in Bude area I will definitely be stopping off at this cafe again. 10/10

Food was brilliant the lady that took care of us was brilliant. Milkshakes where delicious as well.

Didn't have much choice for myself as I am on a restricted low fat diet, but The food was good what my wife and daughter had generous portions, friendly and welcoming staff

Just stopped for a ice-cream 🍦. Very good and a good place to watch the world go by. Visited again today for breakfast before travelling home. Had a full English, it was very good. Everything was cooked very well and the sausage was particularly good.

Always a fantastic service from the staff who are worked very hard! Food is OK, not the best but definitely not the worst! In the summer they have bands performing outside right next to where you dine... so if you're looking for a quiet family meal overlooking the beach then avoid these afternoons/evenings. It is what it is, a burger and chips kind of place!

Lovely place. I didn't have high expectations for a beach cafe but honestly I was blown away by the quality! Prices were reasonable and quality was great. Best pint I've had in a while.

A very busy beach bar literally on the edge of the beach, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Must be one of the best places to people watch as well as taking in the ocean views.
