Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Quite a long wait for food simply because of the number of people ordering, but quality of the food and service made up for it. Plus a free drink while I was waiting.....😀😉

I've been surfing Crooklets for 40 years and I've seen this cafe improve year on year.

Always enjoy going to crooklets. They are always welcoming.

Very busy and lots of staff, but they struggled to give a good service

I spent a day at this cafe while doing a charity fundraiser and the owner of the cafe couldn't have been more welcoming. All the staff are incredibly friendly, often coming to check on our group and see how our day was going. The food was incredible for a great price, and service was fast. Later in the afternoon they had live music playing with an array of fantastic sing along songs - classics live Proud Mary, Parklife, Mr. Brightside. Our group stayed for drinks to celebrate after our fundraiser and the cafe has a great array of choice for alcohol. If I'm ever back in Bude area I will definitely be stopping off at this cafe again. 10/10

While my photos are a few sunsets from Crooklets beach. The beach cafe has always been amazing. Whether it’s for a quick drink and snacks or cooked food the beach cafe has never let me down. I have been going for years now and it’s a beautiful spot to keep returning to. Added bonus, live music. This has become my favourite Bude pitstop. Great coffee and food. My fave is the chicken bacon avo salad. I love when I am surprised by the quality of meals. The location is also fab

Nice cafe on Bude beach. Lots of seating inside & outside. You order inside and the food and drinks are then brought to the table. Totally dog ​​friendly.

Didn't have much choice for myself as I am on a restricted low fat diet, but The food was good what my wife and daughter had generous portions, friendly and welcoming staff

Just stopped for a ice-cream 🍦. Very good and a good place to watch the world go by. Visited again today for breakfast before travelling home. Had a full English, it was very good. Everything was cooked very well and the sausage was particularly good.

Always a fantastic service from the staff who are worked very hard! Food is OK, not the best but definitely not the worst! In the summer they have bands performing outside right next to where you dine... so if you're looking for a quiet family meal overlooking the beach then avoid these afternoons/evenings. It is what it is, a burger and chips kind of place!

Dog friendly, lovely new management. Delicious Angus burger and fries 🍟. NZ Sauvignon priced very fair. Raising the competitive standard. Brilliant option for Bude beach/cliff walkers!

Stopped to watch a good Ska/ Mod band playing outside of the Cafe. Lovely couple of pints overlooking the sea. Nice place! 👍

Lovely place. I didn't have high expectations for a beach cafe but honestly I was blown away by the quality! Prices were reasonable and quality was great. Best pint I've had in a while.

A very busy beach bar literally on the edge of the beach, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Must be one of the best places to people watch as well as taking in the ocean views.

We visited here more than once! Tje food is very good! I can personally recommend the American pancakes with fresh fruit, honey and yogurt! It was simply divine!!

Great friendly bar/cafe with beachside seating and music.

Was a bit pricey for us coming from the north east but we needed something to eat after 10 hour journey,paid £4 chips which were nice , but was quite busy , so don't give this a miss on my account, also sold alcohol and you could eat in or out with a sea view .

A lovely beachside cafe, with bar and ice cream 🍦 They very often have entertainment on,which is brilliant when you're sitting close by on Crooklets Beach. You can order drinks to go, which they put in non-glass cups appropriate for the beach. There is also a mini nic nak shop inside where you can purchase holiday/Beach bits and bobs. The staff are lovely. Always service with a smile. 😊💛

Quick coffee and ice cream very busy

Great place to spend a bank holiday where we sat outside and listened to the free entertainment. We had a pasty each and ate it on the beach-delicious. Can eat in or take out. Very convenient and close to the beach

Our first visit here today with our son who was visiting us in Devon. 2 veggie breakfasts, a bacon sandwich and 3 coffees, one iced. Food was all very well presented, well priced, especially given the lovely location, and tasty, coffees were okay, not very hot but it was extremely busy this morning so maybe not brought out straight away? What sets this place apart was the amazing staff, the lady on the till was lovely and so very helpful, everyone was smiling and we felt very welcome, unlike another place in Bude by the canal where we were ignored by several staff until we walked away! We visit Bude regularly and will definitely return to sample more of the great menu

Didn't eat here so not sure how the food is. Usually have live music and a selection of beers, wines and spirits. Non alcoholic drinks and and ice cream parlour

I recently visited a beach bar called Crooklets Beach Bar, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, greeting us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The setting itself was idyllic, with tables and chairs set up right on the beachfront, providing a perfect view of the ocean. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting and there was also an added bonus of a live band. The owner, was especially welcoming and made a point to greet each guest personally. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in ensuring everyone was having a good time added a personal touch that made the visit even more enjoyable. He was also fantastic with kids. As for the food and drinks, they were exceptional. The menu featured a variety of fresh, locally sourced seafood dishes and classic beach bar food such as burgers, paninis and an exceptional crab sandwich which was yummy. The kids (and adults) also really enjoyed their chicken nuggets. Overall, Crooklets Beach Bar is a gem of a beach bar, combining excellent service, delicious food and drinks, and a beautiful setting. With the added charm of a friendly owner who is great with kids, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly day by the sea. We enjoyed it that much we went 4 times over a 6 day period.

Well what can I say but thank you Crooklets Beach Cafe Crew especially Adam for cooking are lunch today, the burgers were excellent 🍔🍔. These succulent burgers are oozing flavour with perfect seasoning topped with bacon & melted cheese all in a toasted brioche bun, all served with chips.I have to confess it was to much & I couldn't finish it as it was so big, definitely worth the price 👌🏻.Thank you Daniel for the added additions of the crunchy onion bits & Dawn's tomato rose on her salad to Greta & Crew again & we'll see you again soon for a smaller burger next time 🤣

Enquired about and item on the menu, sounded good so ordered it. When it came out it was nothing like the waitress described 🤮 had to leave most of it. Very disappointed.

We arrived late one morning on a rainy early spring day at the end of April 2024 after we'd already visited two other cafés in the town which were closed; presumably because of the rain. We parked in the car park, expensive at £4.90 for two hours on the Justpark mobile phone app. The cafe, which looks quite unassuming, is right next to the beach with the public toilets just behind in the car park. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive; very pleasant and chatty. There are three dining areas, a large area to the front adjoining the beach with wooden bench style tables, an area to the side with a good number of tables plus the main inside area. The cafe is licenced so has several beers on tap including a Sharps IPA. The menu is pretty good. Service very good. Tables clean; no dead-trays, plates or cups lying around. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. So you can walk your dog on the beach and then enjoy a pint of Sharps at the cafe. So good we visited again today when the sun was shining and a good number of tables outside were taken. One of the girls even ground some Cornish coffee and packaged it up for my mum; nice touch 👍. A very nice café. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 50 million views and still going strong 💪. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️. They're inconsistent. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Rude staff. Left atmosphere because we had our drinks outside. Edit. Thank you for your response, we are holiday makers. I can accept that maybe it was just a bad day for the person that served my wife. Since I never go in, I'm always outside looking after the dogs and our grandkids. I also appreciate that bad reviews are not something that you appreciate. To anyone reading this please accept this just possible could be a one off. We come twice a year and we walk into Crooklets regularly during our stay. This is our first complaint.

Great beach cafe and bar on Crooklets beach.

Today we ventured to Crooklet’s Cafe for a celebratory breakfast as it was our wedding anniversary. The full English breakfasts were delicious, local sausages, buttery mushrooms, crisp hash browns, fresh tomatoes, bacon and beans accompanied by toast and butter. All excellent quality ingredients at a competitive price. This place is definitely worth visiting! Thank you.

Really friendly feel. Food was good and it is right near the beach and play area. Conservatory area was light and bright.

This has to be one of the nicest places to eat and drink in all of Cornwall. We have been coming to Cornwall for over 20 years and have never been treated to such a special experience the food is outstanding and as for the staff they are brilliant. Thanks Nick for making our stay in Bude. Even though the weather wasn't great all 12 of us really enjoyed coming into your cafe. We will definitely be returning.

We came here since our previous visit and it’s fantastic! We used our drinks that the owner had gave us since our previous review and the manager was really understanding! The staff were really nice to us and the drinks such as the Terry’s Chocolate Hot Chocolate is really nice! Overall we would highly recommend this place!

Amazing coffees, nice vibes and clean

A good diner, more expensive than some due to.location with a burger and chips at £14.95. Still was a good burger, not massive but fair. A good pit stop.in the right place.

All in all an enjoyable experience, the food, drinks and service are all pretty good as beach side places go. Music most Sundays and some other days / evenings. What better way to spend a summer's evening than on the beach with food, drink and live music whilst watching the sun set? Well done you guys 👍

Just had a delicious lobster lunch at The Crooklets Cafe. We pre ordered 24hours in advance and got a delicious large lobster to share with salad and chips! We will defiantely return! Thanks chef!

Great place great view decent food . Don't go in half term 30 min wait for food . Wether it was that they were rushed but breakfast for what I had felt a bit price heavy . The other dish was also a breakfast and the third a soup all acceptable. We will revisit in quieter times and report back .

This is a very busy cafe with the most amazing views and the staff are friendly and efficient. It's lovely to sit in the extension and feel the warmth of the sun through the windows while you're enjoying a coffee on a winter's day.

Pleasant pitstop for a coffee and bite to eat. Sat outside with lovely sea views. A nice mix of sand and rocks walking from Summerleaze carpark with the dogs.

Over 40 mins wait for our coffee. And took 15mins after I chased it.

Well located and appears to be open throughout winter, in fact Santa was spotted here having a break recently.

there is someone working here who really loves food. most of the menu is pretty simple cafe fare, but very well cooked. and there are always specials (often with local fish and shellfish) which are amazing. it's a very wonderful place.
