Crocketts in Powys

A friend and I ate here after golfing and staying in the village. This is a small restaurant but busy with a large group. Don’t bother looking for a menu as it is written up on a chalk board which was added to as the chef wrote the tapas on the menu that night. The quality of the food was amazing and the whole atmosphere was wonderful. Make sure you book ahead so not to be disappointed.

The best Calamari I have ever eaten tender and very tasty, I have been eating Calamari all around the Mediterranean for more than 35 years never had such good Calamari. All the food Ross cooks is excellent the best place in Presteigne to eat. Don’t miss it please.

We had another amazing meal here wonderful Aubergine hummus, followed by the best Squid we have ever eaten, home or abroad ,cant wait to go again A very nice slightly fizzy wine to go with it all .

Went to Crocketts for New Year's eve as the food was highly recommended. Each dish was beautifully presented and had a individual twist that made us wanting to order everything. The beef brisket in tiny Yorkshire puddings were to die for. The service was exceptionally friendly and the personal touch is what sets the restaurant apart from samey corporate restaurants that have a predictable menus. Highly recommended

We always seek out this restaurant when in the area. Our fourth visit now. The standard of cooking is top notch. A selection of small and larger plates, there's something for all tastes complimented by a well chosen drinks menu and delicious desserts. Always consistent, this is a true gem, reasonably priced with an obviously extremely talented chef. Highly recommended.

Had a meal with family recently and we had lots of dishes, all delicious and cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We have just had an excellent tapas meal with our friends at Crocketts on Presteigne High Street. The tapas plates were interesting, freshly prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the service throughout the evening was perfect. We don’t live in the area but if we are here again we would certainly return. Thank you very much.

Been back many times as enjoy the food. Today met up with a friend for lunch. Crocketts now opening during the Summer for lunch on Saturday's 12am-3pm. Tapas and blackboard menu so always something to delight the taste buds.

We have dined at Crocketts on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Ross the chef is innovative with his menu and only uses the best ingredients. All meals are freshly prepared whist you wait in the very comfortable restaurant. The menu varies from main meals to tapas, all of which are different and not what you would perhaps expect. If you are in or near Presteigne I would highly recommended a visit.

Visited on a Saturday night, very good food and fine wine. More of a cafe environment but feels like a friendly restaurant. Our host was very friendly and informative. We really enjoyed our evening and would gladly recommend

We thoroughly recommend this restaurant, run by a talented chef Ross. The atmoshere is warm and welcoming, the place bright and cheerful and the menu original and tempting. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Also, the prices are very reasonable.
