I visit this lovely cafe several times a we ek for lunch and occasionally for breakfast . The food is very good, in particular the quiche! The staff are friendly and welcoming and I even made a new friend in there. I would certainly recommend this friendly and very clean cafe.

Critchley house is a lovely cafe to visit for lunch. I last visited on Wednesday and due to government guidelines, we had to sit it the garden. The garden is lovely and the perfect place to enjoy lunch in the sun. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is lovely. The coffee is nice too. Nothing is too much to ask for. The prices are fab also. Nothing to complain about at all. Felt safe and at ease with regards to covid and will definitely be coming again!

We love this place, the staff are fantastic and sitting in the sun in the garden is just to die for. Critchleys is a community hub and long should it last.

Weather is a factor, naturally, on the patio garden area but the generous adjacent Kitchen/Cafe/Social Centre offers shelter, social contact, support on a one to one and group basis from Crafts to Technology. There are a series of regular groups to interest anyone for Lunches, Writing interests, Gardening interests, Cookery, various Crafts, Local History with guest speakers and even old Movies. All ages are welcome and the facilities are accessible. There are special events and occasional day trips organised.

Great little community cafe run by Age UK and a team of volunteers. Offers a range of activities as well as teas coffees home baking snacks and light meals. Pleasant garden area and full disabled access including the garden. Tends to get busy when various groups are meeting there. Reasonable prices and you don't have to show your bus pass to get served! Intended for seniors but anyone is welcomed and has become a great community asset.

Get the right day and enjoy home made baking. Freshly made sandwiches. Makes a wonderful lunch. Plus free WiFi - just because it's Age UK, don't mean it's not IT-savvy. Lots of community groups meet there. New garden will do well during summer.

bacon and sausage on toast - bacon was barely cooked and had a horrific smell to it so couldnt be eaten. Also the toast wasnt toasted just soggy slightly warm bread.
