Crispy Cod in Sunderland

Probably the worst Donner meat in the world, cold , dried out, hars as Charlie Chaplin's shoe leather, think it was cooked and cut yesterday, abismal, will never be back.

We ordered a takeaway for four people last Saturday ie 23rd July & we all ordered different things but all were rubbish.it states on their menu & online also in the shop that you get 10 % discount if you order online,but they said they don’t give that anymore although they are still advertising it.our order was over £36 & was a waste of money.we had two palms which were dry with no taste.fish & chips that we small tastless & greasy.Chop suey roll that was rock hard .& battered sausage with no taste & greasy.We wasted our time & money on this place , but won’t make that mistake again.the place should be shut down by the council as a health hazard..never again.

Nothing is fresh or cooked right avoid at all cost nice the owner can drive around in a Audi R8 health and safety need to get into that place it’s a wonder no one has got sick yet

Just fancied some nice fish and chips, chips came rock hard, obviously not fresh and kept warm. Complained and got some replacementd which weren't much better. Never again.

Ordered through Just Eat at 5pm for delivery asap. Order accepted with an estimated delivery time of 6.10pm. At 6.20pm the restaurant cancelled the order, no reason given. Absolute disgrace. Now we have to order from somewhere else and won't be able to eat until approx 9pm!! Avoid!!

Fancied good old Fish & Chips, so ordered 2 large Cod and 2 small chips. We were given a delivery time of 1 hour and were surprised when they arrived after 20 minutes. The large Cod turned out to be 2 normal fish, one on the top of the other, in a polystyrene carton. I know that eveything is fried but the fish were stuck together and much of the batter was soggy and very greasy. They looked like they had come straight out of the fryer and into the carton. The steam released by the hot fish, in the confines of the polystyrene, caused the batter to go soggy in many places. There were some nice pockets of white fish but predominantly batter, of which the few crispy bits were nice but the soggy parts were inedible. The small portion of chips was more than enough and came in a similar carton. I would have preferred one large fish, with thick white flakes in a light, crispy batter, well drained and in a suitably sized cardboard box, including the chips. Better still, in good old fashioned greaseproof, plain wrapping paper and an outer layer of newspaper. By no means the worse fish and chips but also a long way off the best. Good service time but would have been happy to wait longer, for a better end product.
