I WAS THERE LAST YEAR! I have been a devotee of Crispins since 1980’s I lived in Ealing Green! Good to read the excellent reviews. The negative ones are plain weird! Always been welcomed with open arms by Polly and Alex. Hope to see you later in this year xxx

Thought I try this this place out . Had a snack and a small glass of wine . With a service charge of 15%. Tap water 🚿 was unware was charged at £2 for 2 people . I was solo , so clearly hidden charges . Snack was nice and service was good . Insane price taking into account I was there for no more than 15 mins . Definitely would not visit again as far too pricey for what it’s worth .

I love this bar. Its not shiny and modern, so wont appeal to all, which is a key part of the charm. It is full of character and that is what is so appealing. As a family we have been coming here for over 40 years and still today, its doesn't disappoint. A warm welcome, lovely selection of wines and if you are lucky a fellow patron will pop on to the piano and play a few sing along tunes. If Carlsberg did bars...

What a lovely little bar this is. Has been owned by the same person for over 40 years. Great atmosphere in here and excellent selection of wines at good value. Will be back here again for sure. Keep it going and don’t change a thing.

Familiarity does not have to breed contempt... Peoples views of wine bars will vary greatly... My view of this particular wine bar remains constant... It was a place myself and my partner revelled in... Us ually once a week, our preferred nights either Tuesdays or Thursdays, our usual tipple a shared bottle of House White and a bottled of fizzy water. Not the cheapest bottle of wine you could find around Ealing Broadway but the most perfect combination of company, location and atmosphere. Polka and her partner and staff welcome everyone. Polka in particular always made us feel very welcome as we either found a booth, now replaced with intimate tables, or managed to bag the table and seats in the bay window. We nicknamed 'our' place the Piano bar, though the Piano usually remained closed and silent as an eclectic mix of music played through the speakers... Loud enough to hear but not spoil conversations taking place throughout this gem on the Green in Ealing as people came to experience 'their' place... Happy memories that still stir my emotions and I guess always will...

Forget the negative reviews you might find - those customers just don't get it. Crispin's is a weird and wonderful Ealing institution, a bizarre wine bar like no other. It's always heaving after the pubs close and is certainly a great place for a late drink if you can handle the heaving crowd. Personally, I prefer to go earlier in the evening, when you can savour the weirdness and enjoy the lovely people who run this place and the truly great wines they serve. Is it for everyone? No, of course not. But if it strikes a chord, you won't be able to stop visiting.

Save yourself the misery of going to this dive, the waitress/owner would really need to get some actual manners, I have never met someone in the hospitality industry this rude and obnoxious in my entire life. There are plenty of other bars out there give this one a wide birth.

This is at best a cheap pub. Definitely nit a wine bar. Staff don't even know the basics about wines. They were so surprised when I asked what the producer and year of one of the wines was before ordering it. Wine selection is awful. Floor and tables were disgustingly dirty. Only pro is it's cheap. Besically a wine version of wetherspoon but even worst.

This is a small family run business and the owners have the best customer service, very polite and lively couple. Most customers seem to be neighbours and enjoy their company. The name of the bar indeed reflects the fact that they have very good wines. It is in the heart of Ealing Broadway ideal as a stop over. I recall my first time there I was told about minimum expenditure to use a bank card and much as I didn't reach the minimum this was waived for me. It's rather small and narrow room wise but great.

Crispin's is the perfect place to go and enjoy a nice glass (or bottle) of something whilst making new friends and mingling with the locals. The owner and staff are friendly, helpful and a delight to engage with- plus you might actually learn a thing or two about the wine! If you're looking for a bar that goes above and beyond in terms of service and good atmosphere at a reasonable price in West London, you can't go wrong by visiting this place. So much so you'll find yourself returning!

The worst bar in Ealing; the only reason people go is because it’s a late bar. It’s not anymore. Avoid.

Let’s be honest, this place definitely needs to be refreshed. The carpet is awful, the furnitures have seen better days, it is really rustic. The wine is kept behind the bar at a high room temperature (it was particularly hot inside on the day I visited) and as a consequence is not served at the right temperature. The board on the wall doesn’t give much information about each of the wine on offer. It would be at least nice to have the name of the producer and the vintage... The lady at the bar was not particularly friendly and I doubt she knows much about wine. When I asked a few question her answers were very vague and she was clearly not able to sale the wine and to give customer the desire to try them all as you would expect someone in her position to do... I would definitely not recommend to go there if you love wine and want to discover any new nice wine. But if you just want to get drunk, that’s a different story....

Crispins is a well known name in the Ealing area as it's the best place to go on a Friday or Saturday night when all of the pubs are closing and you're not ready to go home! I've always loved their wine selection and the atmosphere is always fun :)

As much as I love crispins, the bar staff seem to hold their customers in an amazing amount of disregard. As much as 'service with a smile' is overused, the manageress and staff seem to have a disappointingly bleak analysis of the world, and as much as I enjoy the bar, there is a lot of improvement in customer service needed.

If you're like me and enjoy a rustic, honest, individual experience from different bars/pubs then this is the place to check out. It's unique and seems from another time altogether. Long may bars like this steer clear of pub companies, for they choose to impose business models on every one of their venues.

Drinks were nice and so were the staff except for one, ginger lady. She was quite rude and in my opinion needs some training on her customer service skills. The people next to my group also agreed that she was rude. I work in customer service and personally would not hire someone who speaks to customers how she did.

I can't say what Crispin's is like during the afternoon/early evening but as the night dawns it's always atmospheric and makes for an excellent night. Though it gets very crowded particularly after 10/11pm on Friday and Saturday evenings (as it's open late) it never feels intrusively so and service is always prompt. Good range of wines as you'd expect as well as plenty of spirits available and bottled lager and cider. No bouncers, quiet background music, well lit, friendly and in a great location - ideal place to spend a late weekend night.

Nestled in a terrace of shops and restaurants,Crispin's is a small wine bar that has been a feature of Ealing Green for four decades. I think I first came here when I was at school opposite. Great wine and service, fun day-time clientele, and absolutely packed late night at weekends, this is a place to visit if you are in the W5 district.

Crispin's is kind of small in size, but get in there early on a Friday if you want a seat or a spot at the bar! This place gets jam packed with people! The place gets hoppin' when the piano starts going. We couldn't get our grandmother out of the bar for nothing because the piano was going and everyone was singing! It was hilarious!

There's nowhere like Crispins. It's not your usual wine bar. But then there aren't many wine bars that are truly independent, who cook fantastic homemade food, who remember your name, and who give you quite such a friendly experience. And the owner really knows his wine and keeps a cellar that includes many wines that you won't get in many other wine bars. If you don't like that kind of thing, best go somewhere else.

Early booking made for dinner. Sat down, all 4 of us decided to have steak. When waiter came round we were told they had none of the steaks. Who not tell us when we sat down?Son wanted kidx portion of ice cream. Nope you can't have that unless you have the entire kids menu we were told. Really? You can't serve a scoop of ice cream on its own? Whether for a kid or not? Case of "computer says no" bad service, lacks attention to detail and spoilt the evening.Ealing has so much choice in restaurants. Give this one a miss.
