UPDATE: this place has now closed. I am not at all surprised. I can now see why this place has bad reviews. Customer service at point of entry was lacking even after standing by the counter for a few minutes. No acknowledgement from staff even after making eye contact. Honestly, if I hadn’t mentioned to my kids I was treating them to ice cream, I would have walked out. For the money you are spending on a treat, you would want to be treated like a valued customer, but nope. Giving 2 ⭐️ as the ice cream was ok and they have vegan options. Otherwise, it would have easily been a star review. Let’s just say I won’t be coming back. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Still the worst place ever, no management, pancakes firstly drops on the table then goes on the plate and served. They ruined my daughter's birthday this January and my friend's daughter's birthday. And they blame Customers and always short of personnel. Avoid in all the ways.

Never had a good experience at this branch whether ordering via various apps or sitting in. AVOID.

This is my second visit,Not worthy of price also very poor and horrible customer service by Laura especially , she is very rude towards the customer, every customer who comes to shop dont know what the menu, she should have some patience to deal with the customers .

They are surreal…. My friend asked the guy in the till to just swap the chocolate sauce with the white one and he says no to her and propose her a more expensive option and plus adding one extra…. Funny that in other creams and online you are able to change it…. Toilet apparently out of order…. Kids are close with a table flipped upside down, why? If the shop close at 11pm why at 7pm the kids are is close? Then my daughter asked for one scoop ice cream in a small tiny cup and they had the courage to charge me 1£ for a bunch of tiny mashmallow?!?! Really?!! We asked for a take away box and he took one when we asked for another he roll the eyes and we explain to him that we are not living together me and my friend and then we need to have two for our left over, mate I will not leave on the plate 8£ crepes!!!!! My advice they need to check the customer service and probably review the price a bit they are in ilford not in London Bridge 😂😂😂😂

It’s a humble request to the team of the creams PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFFS ABOUT HOW TO BEHAVE WITH THE PARENTS WHO HAS CHILD WITH NEEDS,I went to the soft play area where I had to climb the upper level because my child has needs, one of the staffs came to me saying I am not allowed to climb, I should stay at the bottom and supervise, I mentioned my child got needs still that staff insisted I should be supervising from the bottom, I would happily do that but as a mum I have fear that my child would push or get pushed so I wasn’t sitting there for the whole time yet I was told to do so..I have visited other soft play area they do allow us with our kids to climb but not all the time, when it’s necessary. It’s really disheartening that we need to fight for this little things where there’s already so much for us I request to the creams team please ask your staffs to be kind and please next time understand our situation and be considerate, it was absolutely unnecessary the way I was told to get down and leave my child like that

Overpriced with poor customer service

I planned to have a lovely afternoon with meeting my friend/kids there was only one staff work at the time of my arrival as I went up to order she was RUDE!! As I was looking at my menu of what I wanted she started saying to me this is why you should know what you want before you come up to order because my customers food is going cold. Then she made me feel like I had to make a first choice of what I saw on the menu. My order took a very long time to arrive and yet she got my friends and my order wrong and we was missing one ice cream from ower order. The only good thing was the kids soft play. The toilet were dirty and light not working in the ladies toilet.

Bad tase as most of items are due dated plus the staff is very rude and unprofessional. Even they don't bother the customers. If anyone complains, they just shout at him and threaten his life. Special a man in clean shaved there.

If you’re looking for a place where to relax and read some novels or whatever as well as for kids to play, this place would be the best. They have the best coffee available and even some fresh baked deserts as well. The ambiance of this shop was so relaxing, and the staffs are highly capable. I was struck by how friendly the service was. I could not ask for more because everything that I needed was provided. Well done, guys! Me and my daughter love you all!!! Keep making great coffee and pastries! We will be back again❤️

All the staff were lovely and friendly, especially the lady with red hair, you should give them a raise. The food was amazing too, my waffle was baked to perfection, nice and crispy. Creams is definitely my fav dessert place and is really affordable too, i will be coming here all the time.

Horrible experience unfortunately as every other cream I go to is good. Very rude staff I sat down with my family in one of the booths and got my baby out the pram staff shouted at us and told us to not sit there as that area was closed we got up and moved feeling humiliated like little children being told off. 10 minutes later a group of teen boys walk in and sit where we were sitting but are served. Disgusting behaviour they could have At least asked nicely instead of informing the whole cafe by screaming at the top of lungs.

Had the absolute worst experience at Creams Ilford. We sat down and after ordering we were told very rudely to move to a different seat by a European lady with dark hair and thin eyebrows. She accused us of moving the black rope divider and we told her that when we came it was open and there was no sign saying we could not sit in the back area. She carried on accusing us of ‘forcing in’ and screaming at us when we had explained multiple times there was NO DIVIDER when we came. We even told her to check the cameras as she was persistent we had moved it, to take our seat at the back. She then said ‘ I went to the toilet, can I not use the toilet’? Which was irrelevant to the situation and has nothing to do with the customer. She refused to serve our order which we paid for and continued to raise her voice at us. When we asked for the manager she said she is the manager. We then asked her for her name and she refused to give it as she knew she was in the wrong. After being screamed at in the face by the European manager, we decided to get a refund. She took us to the till to get our refund and continued to tell us that it was our fault. She told all her employees to come to the till to take her side in front of all the customers in the shop. What kind of customer service is this? DISGUSTING attitude and aggressiveness towards us. This manager is the downfall of creams Ilford. Before I left I told the employee with red hair Madalina to teach her manager some manners, she agreed and said she understands. The owners of creams should be careful before hiring racist managers and think of the impacts it will have on their customers wellbeing. I have attached pictures because she refused to give her name. SAVE your money, you're better off spending your money at The Urban Chocolatier. They have basic human etiquettes. I'm surprised the food hygiene rating isn't a 0, place is awful. I have read through so many BAD reviews regarding the customer service at Creams Ilford but Creams clearly don't care who they hire and if they even want to fix the problem. SHOCKING.

Tried the cafe recently and it has an amazing vibe with some great food. Loved ferero and Oreo shakes! The waffles are also amazing with great service. Thank you!

😃👍Extremely warm, friendly, welcoming, brilliant, smiling, fast and hardworking service. Amazing coffee and tea scrumptious desserts! Wonderful ambiance, comfortable atmosphere and seating. This place used to be so good, but it's really gone down hill..we arrived just as they opened their doors...we ordered our ice creams, some toon longer than others and they even got some of the order wrong. Being one of the first ones in there I would not expect my daughters tights to be as filthy as they were, they were practically black! Surely the place should have been cleaned the night before or in the morning before opening??!!

Came here for a milkshake and a very rude aggressive European lady with black hair served me she refused to give me her name and demanded why I wanted her name and she wanted £6 for a medium milkshake and £2 for cream and £1 on top for sauce and I told her why she didnt tell me it's not included as I already paid and she started shouting at me saying that I should of asked first and the staff was shocked the way she was treating the customer and I asked for refund and she sed it will take 3 days to credit my account and I can see why I was the only customer there cause they are overpriced and Stratford creams are much better and nice friendly staff there In costa coffee you can get a large strawberry milkshake for £4 with cream and sauce included Dont come here as they charge extra for sauce and cream and the European lady is a racist and she needs sacking

I just wanted a milkshake. The asain looking lady said do I have nut allergies I said no but my husband does and she said she can’t serve me. I then said my husband won’t drink it I will then she then told this other guy who had curly hair probably her senior and he told me to check the allergy list. I said the drink is for me I have no allergies my husband does. To which he said I should still check the menu which I did. I then said my order and she mumbled to the guy she still wants to order even though she has allergies. And then she said to my face the chocolate has nuts she can’t take the order. I then said what kind of service do you run here when you don’t understand or comprehend what I am saying. The drink is for me not for him who has the allergies. The senior then said he never heard me say that when I made myself clear about it from the beginning and then arguing with me about it. No responsibility taken for what was said, rude service and clearly not able to listen. Customer lost, definitely will not be returning here. I’ve never had any issues when going to a dessert place this is a first.

My friend had a kids party here - never again! To pay a deposit to then have the food delivered sporadically to the table, some kids ate, others were still waiting 2 hours after arrival! Lady in charge was awful - blamed the party for not being able to fulfil other orders - who on earth takes money for a kids party and then blames that party for the staff not being able to cope with orders?! Disgraceful. Manager not on site - phoned to complain and was told the manager was ‘too busy’ to deal with the complaint but they’d knock £30 off the bill?! Paying hundreds of pounds for no service, upset kids and a ruined afternoon - the poor mother was in bits. I’d never go here again. The staff were inexperienced (not their fault) and obviously let down by their management team. Horrific experience.

Very rude staff. We ordered food for 2 adults and 1 child. My daughter went to play in kids area and the staff told us we have to buy something from kids menu even our daughter had waffles from normal menu. After I went the the bathroom with her and 1 lady ( Madelina) came to my husband and she started to scream that they said child can't play anymore and she's again in kids area, he said that she's not playing and if u don't believe go and check. Btw very dirty place, very rude staff. Shoud be notice about the kids menu and soft play. Never ever I will visit again.

Me and my colleague went to this place today and we wanted the strawberry choc indulge waffle and they said they didn’t have it anymore. We also showed them a picture of the one we wanted but then they said now again so cool. We got something else but then afterwards there were 2 people sitting near us and they were served the strawberry choc indulge waffle that we wanted. We felt attacked and disturbed by this discovery because they told us a lie and we rlly wanted that same waffle. I’m disappointed and very frustrated. Not going there again

Worst ambience ever! Such a waste of time and money! Unhygienic place. All the tables were dirty with leftover food and cutlery the staffs don't have time to clean as they said. There's completely no hygiene as those who prepared the crepes and waffles didn't wear gloves. They were definitely short staffed. They ran out of strawberries but couldn't bother to tell us while we placed the order. £8.40 for just a classic waffle with chocolate sauce and no presentation at all or ice cream felt total rip off. Order came after 45 minutes and for all this mess it wasn't worth. Will never visit again.

WORST PLACE EVER!! I wish I took pictures. The whole place was a mess and tables had dirty plates and cutlery all over, so why were all the staff busy making orders when there was no clean tables for customers to sit? Ontop of all of that, the woman who was serving, white woman with brown hair toooookkkk agggeessss to process an order and when we finally had a chance to order, she made us repeat our order, just to eat at the end, cash only. The old people that work here, woman with brown hair and the other woman with red hair, go find another job because you guys are horrible. Tables were dirty and unclean, staff standing behind counter doing nothing, taking ages to order my food and to top it all off, THEY DONT WEAR GLOVES!! If your happy with some random woman touching your waffle with bare hands and then touching her hair and nose afterwards, please come to this place. I don’t know who the manager is but your doing a disgusting job at managing this place and I hope it gets closed down.

I was in Ilford and I was disappointed and shocked what a service I received from the girl with red hear from the till. She was very rude with me. I ordered waffles with banana and strawberries but I mentioned that I didn't want chocolate on top and she told me this is not possible, screaming. I asked her if I have an allergy, what should I do? and she told me not to order, again screaming. A blonde girl (she was nice) came and showed her that she has the option without chocolate at the till and she told her to calm down. I couldn't say anything to her at the moment because I was shocked, i lost my words. Behind me was another customer who left because of this lady, saying the service is disgusting. But I never go to this place, I felt humiliated. This lady has no respect for customers, she is not educated. What I heard from colleagues, they talk to each other, her name is Madalina! You should take the attitude that it is not her family business to tell the customer not to order! Because the customer pays her utilities!

I just exited this area at 8:30 PM right now and I have to say the experience was wonderful I went with my mom and my sister and got a Hot n cold chocolate cake volcano and the people where very nice and the dessert was deliocious

Everytime I come here I get the same problem. I asked for a coffee milkshake. Which I regularly buy from all creams stores. Previously the lady didn't know what is was and said she didn't have it. Then a young man served me and made me one. This time someone pretending to be the manager said we changed the menu and no longer have it. If you don't know how to make it just say honestly. I'm very dissapointed second time this is happening. Also they forward the email for response and solution. But never reply so don't keep your hopes up on having your issue resolved

Took my order quick at 14:49 only to serve the next 4 customers before me and eventually 15 mins later after seeing me stand up by the counter they hurried to get my order made. By this point I took my shake and left because I had enough of waiting around however I do not believe the order is correct and can not taste any Oreo. Neither does The colour resemble any Oreo milkshake I have had before!

I ordered 2 waffles and they both were undercooked I ate a little bit because I was hungry and the rest I threw away. What should I do if I have a tummy ache.

Ice-creams and other desserts are priced a bit too high for their quality. On the plus side, feels very roomy.

Great tasting delicacies, huge menu and fair prices. I would highly recommend a day off with family or friends or a treat for your kids. Friendly staff nice environment.

5 children & 3 Adults We placed an order totalling £65+ However staff insisted the kids placed orders from the kids menu so that they can play in the soft play area Would have meant the order would go down to £32 Less than half I told them the kids didn’t want anything from the kids menu Staff insisted that the management has asked this of them so that they can ensure the kids area is being utilised correctly Doesn’t make any sense we walked out and went to Urban Chocolatier This is an example of mgmt rules that are Stupid! The manager was away that day and staff said we couldn’t speak to her

Food is alright, but the premises are dirty and very old. Visited on a Saturday morning, there was hardly anyone in the cafe, when I went to sit down the floor was sticky and so was the table. It was clear that no one had been sitting there before me that day, so the mess was from the previous day. Clearly they don't keep the cafe clean. Also the material on the seats is peeling, looks very old. Makes me think they don't take pride in their brand. Wouldn't eat in that branch again.

This place is the worst, me and my friend had gotten boba and left it on a table where we ordered and told the workers who knew we had boba in our hands. They told us our food will take a while so me and my friend played in a play area and when we were playing, my friend had claimed the boba we left on our table which the worker had saw threw it out, took it and threw it. Wow, what a dumb thing to do. My friend noticed and we rushed down and complained to the worker saying why would u do that yet they said “Dont worry” they said dont worry when they threw our boba out when they knew it was ours, £9 gone to the drain what a stupid cafe, dont come here and leave ur belongings, they will throw everything out.

The time for the delivery kept extending and I had to wait 2 hours for it to arrive. My driver changed over 3 times and the food arrived freezing cold. I had to microwave it. I paid £25 for 2 waffles which is just super ridiculous and overpriced. Ice cream came melted as so did the whipped cream. The driver wasn’t answering their phone and I was super mad. My 5 year old daughter was starving and throwing a tantrum. DO NOT ORDER FORM HERE. UNLESS YOU ARE PATIENT AND RELAXED. absolutely do not order from here. It Is awful service.

Chaos 4 staff, empty tables Waited 30 minutes for a flat white and 2 cheese cakes which were pre-made in a box. I then left after getting refund, but no food. Chap before me waiting for 2 scoops of ice cream. There was a delivery that caused much chaos, bickering and sniping. Really bad, owner needs to spend some time a sits a good location.

Socking slow service and unprofessional staff chit chatting instead of serving customers.

I had the worst experience at creams, their unprofessionalism is shocking! I spoke to the manager Akim beforehand regarding three orders I made and he assured me that my cookie dough would come with ice cream. When it arrived it didn't and he was so nonchalant about my order having missing items. If you don't take the business seriously, you shouldn't work there because you're affecting the credibility and name of creams nationwide. It's appalling that management behave in this way and giving the company and business a bad name!

My granddaughter bought a Sundae ice cream so that she could take a photo for her GCSE Art Portfolio 🍨. Laura and her team were very kind and very helpful, they gave her so much help with her project. As the shop wasn't busy, one of the staff members who did Art for his GCSE's was able to look into her Portfolio, and give her advice on her Art work. Thank you so much for your help today, you really made her day. She enjoyed her sundae as well. Great team work please keep it up!

We bought £20 ice cream and waffle, they didn’t tell us anything about the kids play area that we need to pay £6.99 if a child wants to go in. One of the staff came to us asking either we have to pay £6.99 for a kid meal or take the child out of play area right now. We asked to wait for us to finish the waffle and ice cream and we will pay the fee before we leave, but, she didn’t leave and kept repeating same thing. Staff rude and clearly have no idea how to treat kids and customers. This rule was not written anywhere neither! Apparently head office and the manager are watching in the cameras (I am not entirely sure what she meant by this threat) and they only put this charge in 2 days ago so apparently didn’t have enough time to print a poster. Very peculiar and will not be returning.

Nice caffe associated with Gelato , big indoor play area for kids , you need to pay 6.95 pounds per kid . Staff has to be more pleasant towards customers. One lady fighting to other staff member

Worst experience I have ever had. Flies around your drink/ dessert and rude staff . Blaming the customer for the wrong orders . Disgusting attitude (boring and phlegmatic) and and the play area very dirty . 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Got in there just as a birthday party was finishing,all tables reserved apparently, but we managed to find one. Stood in a queue for 25 mins waiting to be served and another 25 mins after that for our order to come. Whoever the lady is who works there, she should try to smile,she came across as very abrupt and rude. Beckton Creams is a lot better.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality We went with our family and ordered a mix of ice creams, waffles and milkshakes. Had a lovely experience. The service was excellent, provided a friendly, welcoming and professional service. Thank you so much.

The restaurant is filthy, the staff are rude and incompetent. They can't get an order right after 3 orders. They barely clean their workspace or their tables. Their is never a manager and when trying to get my issues resolved they hanged up and never picked back up. Save your money, time, health and sanity.

I am giving 2 starts only because ik what great of the place it used to be. The staff don’t know how to prepare some dishes that are literally on the front board, I’ve not been able to get my white hot chocolate for the last 3 times I’ve been there, in my understanding there is only one guy that knows how to prepare the white hot chocolate(if he not there). Staff are very slow and take ages to deliver the food now a days. My whole family cringes on the idea to go to this store😒

Terrible service . Do not buy anything from them. Ordered via Uber eats didn’t give me my order and told to come and pick up yourself after paying for the food and also the delivery
