Myself, my daughter and our Spaniel Opal visited Crail Harbour Gallery 2 days in a row for breakfast. What a wonderful welcoming place with stunning views. Extremely dog friendly - our Opal even got offered a treat. The food was amazing - fluffy pancakes I can still taste with the best bacon I have had in a while. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this fabulous wee gem!

Have been wanting to go here for a while but it is usually very busy so hard to get a table, went for a walk along the harbour till it quietened down then went in an got a table outside with glorious views over the sea. We ordered a coffee and fruit scones with jam and crème fresh, it was lovely, also the staff were lovely and friendly.

2 coffees and 2 paninis…that’ll be £31 please. I’ll let others judge on the value for money of that but it seems ridiculously expensive to me. Tasty enough but pretty small portions…the staff were attentive and served us quickly despite it being midday.

a small and quaint little sit in or takeaway option located on way down to harbour. No advance bookings and it was busy when we arrived although we got a small table for 4. small menu offered with various combinations of fillings in sandwiches or choice of 3 soups on day or 3 different fish salads. able to cater for gf and Lactose intolerance although more limited choice. good choice of cakes again all gf options. Overall the food was tasty although as others have mentioned its not the cheapest of places to eat. We come from a catering background so understand how the rise in costs of ingredients and utility bills have impacted on small independent businesses. We were happy in our view that the lunch reflected good value for money. welcoming and friendly 5/5

Walked in from Anstruther and enjoyed our warm fruit scone with fresh cream and jam and coffees.Staff were really nice and provided lovely cushions without asking. A lovely setting outside and delighted to have a cute, friendly robin for company. Know it is expensive but what isn’t nowadays? In winter months expect pretty empty given our weather so to survive they have the summer months to survive!

Awful experience and extremely rude staff. A shame as it looked a lovely and charming cafe on a scenic spot. On entering we stood standing for a while before any staff member seated us. We were offered a table inside (which hadn’t been cleared) or a small table outside (with small wooden stools unevenly placed on a slope). We took the small table and after a couple of near misses with the stools tipping over we got up and moved to one of two empty tables next to ours. A minute or two later the same waitress came out and said ‘I thought I told you to sit there’ in a rude and patronising tone. We politely explained to her why we had moved due to the uneven stools and the waitress seemed unimpressed and rudely continued to speak down at us. She said “because we were a younger couple” she sat us there. Which does not negate the fact it was unsafe. At this point we were considering leaving which was a decision sealed by another customer approaching us and saying that the apalling way the waitress spoke to us was unacceptable. This customer also had experienced the same issue with the stools and had moved on their own accord. To which the waitress had also been rude to them, they explained. We took the decision to leave before ordering as we felt embarrassed and disgusted by the way we were treated and especially that other customers had commented to us on their behaviour. It seemed unthinkable that we could give them our custom after this. We also noted another customer showing a stool which had broken whilst they were sat in it to the waitress. I’ve looked through other reviews on Tripadvisor before posting this as I appreciate people can have a bad day but the rudeness of the staff and the seats is a common complaint. I would recommend skipping this place and trying one of the other greats cafes on the east Neuk. We were at the cafe about 2pm 25/6/24. The waitress was an older woman with short hair. I’ve attached a photo of the stools which were on uneven ground. Due to our treatment we will make sure not to recommend this place to others.

I was quite shocked to read some of the negative reviews here as we found this delightfully quirky gallery/cafe an absolute delight. We sat outside in the courtyard and, yes, the tables are close together but not uncomfortably so. Service was super friendly and efficient. Coffee and scones, both delicious and not extortionate….on a sunny day with that view over the garden and out to sea, I’m more than happy to pay a wee bit more. We’ll be back!

Arrived around 4.20. The place was medium- busy with a handful of spare tables. Waitress directed us to one and then as we were pulling out the chairs said “ No wait - actually would you sit over there instead ( gesturing to small rickety table with two stools tucked very close beside an overgrown bush…) in case a table of 4 comes in?” She would have been hard pushed to cram four people round the tiny first table… but hey cramming folk in means more money I guess, We decided to leave them to it and keep ours. With cakes at £5-95 it would have been £20 for two of us to eat and drink while sitting on a stool virtually in a bush. Mostly due to her tone and manner it was very poor service; basically she was just a rude woman. We are regular local customers the likes of whom they rely upon in the winter months. We will avoid from now on (and recommend you do too)

If you are looking for a diamond encrusted panini then this is the place to visit. I won’t elaborate further on the panini, or even highlight the lackluster soup with a serving of butter free bread, but what I will say is that this is a pure attempt to cash in on the tourist trade. Can’t imagine anyone visiting for a second time. 🥪 💰🍲

This gallery/cafe has long been in my top three for coffee or lunch, and so I was really looking forward to my visit today whilst in the East Neuk. The views are stunning and as a bonus we can bring our little dog with us to sit in the courtyard. However today we were asked to sit near the entrance which was not ideal as people were coming and going the whole time. The dog, being nosey and ever hopeful of some dropped food (!) wouldn't settle, and so we asked the waitress if we could move to another table further down. She just shrugged her shoulders and in a brusque manner said it was needed for 4 people, yet during most of the time we were there it remained empty. I hsd the soup which was lovely, but the small portion of bread had no butter with it. My husband's panini looked very lacklustre. A small sweet for me and a pot of tea for my husband followed & the total bill came to £27! I don't feel we were made particularly welcome & next time we're in Crail I think we'll be visiting the lobster shack at the harbour instead.

The views are lovely and this cafe has so much potential. Felt unwelcome when we arrived and sat outside with our dogs. We had coffee and cakes and a few soups, total bill came to £89! Utterly shocking. Coffee was luke warm and the hot chocolate was not good. Cakes were all stale and the scone’s definitely aren’t homemade. The soup was also cold so obviously not long enough in the microwave! The location is lovely and that’s the only positive I have on this cafe. Staff didn’t seem friendly and I won’t be back. Avoid and just walk around the harbour there are plenty more cafes to choose from!

Stopped in for some lunch with the family. The place has a lovely feel, with stunning views from the courtyard out the back. The staff were all lovely and friendly and they are dog friendly. That's where the positives stop however. The food we had was mediocre at best and I feel priced very highly for what it is. The paninis were both fairly bland and not much filling for £11. Shame, maybe the cakes were better but I didn't feel like parting with anymore money with them.

This café is beautifully located in a very quaint building just above the picturesque harbour. It has wonderful views across to the Isle of May and East Lothian. It serves perfectly decent “ tea room” food at prices that are significantly higher than most of...

Great setting but very disappointed in the food. It was way overpriced, paninis overdone and just average. One in our party had cake and it was lovely. Recommend for view, coffee and cake but not lunch.

Unwilling to open the toilet even thought covid restrictions are lifted. 14 pounds for a smoked salmon salad- salmon wasn’t smoked and of poor quality. Salad wet my panini was ok but 10 quid. Cake and coffee looked a better bet, but don’t do lunch.

A good place, but only for a quick brunch - certainly NOT for breakfast or lunch. They offer only a very limited menu of small plates. What you do get is delicious, scones mainly, plus Scotch Pancakes with syrup and two rashers of streaky bacon!...
