Great beer, good food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere.

We had the best time here. The burger pop up was AMAZING. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our questions and needs. They took an immediate interest in our dog and gave him treats and a lot of fuss. They provided tasters of the drinks we were unsure of which was a lovely touch. I can’t understate how much of a good time we had here!

The pub is cozy, beers were great! Did try the food but it looked nice. The only thing that I’d mention is that I didn’t like it closes 10 and the environment could be more fun

Great spot in Penarth right now. Always good beers and the best service, but come Thurs-Sat for the best Smash burgers, utterly delicious with a good CD pint.

Thursday pub quiz. Smashed burgers (Cheese.... with the goujon fries) are SUPERB. Staff at the pub are insanely friendly and provide excellent service. Good range of drinks - Scampi fries stockists (sign of a good pub) & cracking pub quiz.

What a place to go! The inside is beautiful! The staff are amazing, friendly and have a great sense of humour! The beer selection will have you wobbling out the door (maybe just me but theres so many nice ones to try) The food! Just wow! Their dirty cheesy curly fries are out of this world! The Thuraday night quiz will keep me going every week! 5 Star!

First time in here, it was a bit busy and not much seating space available. Had one drink and moved on. Nice place though.

Friendly atmosphere with great beers. Plenty of seating indoors both up and downstairs plus a beer garden too. There's even a seating area between the front and beer garden for those that want to catch up on the sport too. I spied someone eating the Sunday lunch, looked impressive. Dotted around the walls you'll find stories of the artwork as well as many beer pump discs. In you're a beer fan and visiting Penarth this is one place not to miss.

Nice tap bar selling the breweries own beers (which are excellent). Front room nice and relaxed where you can watch the world go by. There is also a back room. Good is served, but I didn't sample - but it looked good!

We popped into the bar on Penarth high street to sample a pint or two. If, like me, you like craft ales you'll love this place. They have seven very different, quirkily named ales on draft. We started with pints and I soon wished I had a halves so I could have tried all seven. "when the sun goes down", a hazy IPA was our first choice. And from the first mouthful I could tell it was going to be a good afternoon. But at 6% vol it's powerful stuff so drinking needed to be paced to avoid any of the unfortunate pitfalls heavy drinking can provide. I also tried "size of a cow" a "milkshake" IPA. WOW! It was unlike any beer I had ever tasted. If beer milkshake sounds a bit off putting, push those thought to the back of your mind. This stuff is heavenly! I wish I had bought some home. Luckily they have a website you can order cans from. The building's unusual multi floored layout (there are a lot of steps) provides many different nooks with varied styles of seating to settle in. This gave the place a very relaxed laid back feel which made the quoffing all the more enjoyable. I believe the bars are only open Wednesday to Sunday but just check their website before setting out to be sure they are open. We never tried the food, but have heard good things. We will be back!

Attended the Crafty Devil Cellar's new menu launch this evening and I wasn't disappointed. The Shroom burger was a triumph, full of flavour and the perfect accompaniment to their Safe As Milk coffee milk stout. I've also been to their Cellar in Canton and both venues offer a great atmosphere for drinking with friends and the bar staff are always friendly and well informed when it comes to advising on the perfect tipple. Needless to say their range of crafts are among the best around. If you're looking for the best independent brew houses in and around Cardiff, Crafty Devil is up there with the very best.

Lovely place, main street Penarth. Great atmosphere in Penarth New Year's Eve.... Weatherspoons then Clay Pit for one of the best curries ever!!! My daughter and her friends sussed out Crafty Devil for final drinks and bring in the New Year.. Really nice trendy and warm vibe. Staff lovely, laid on a buffet for people........ Easy wander-in NYE.... Good music then brought in 2020 to Jules Holland with Stereophonics and Rick Astley on.. Was so nice xx Good beer apparently, had Merlin Welsh cream liqueur..... 👌🏼. Recommend this place!!! Wanted to stay and wish my brother hadn't gone home, he wud have loved it!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR, new Decade 🤗🎉🍾

How much you like this place is obviously going to rely heavily on how much you like Crafty Devil beer. I'm not a fan. That's a taste thing and very much individual - you might completely disagree. As to the place itself, it's cosy and has changed very little from when it was the Ocho Lounge (which is now across the street). Nice relaxed place to hang out. If it gets busy, go across the street to the Ocho.

Waited 5 minutes for someone to appear to serve me. Coffee was ok.

Definitely the place to be for craft beers and food from Keralan Karavan

Positives: Nice atmosphere and layout inside. Sky sports. Vegetarian food options. Negatives: No cask ales, all cegged OK beer but very overpriced (£5 a pint). G&t was extortionate (£6.40 for a single). Wetherspoons down the road sell the same drink for a third of the price. In my opinion Tiny rebel is better and cheaper

A great new addition to the Craftu Devil experience. Spacious with friendly staff. Made a special trip to try it. Will be back! Soon!

Newly opened in Penarth and they are certainly trying to claw back their setup costs as quickly as possible judging by their prices. They won't last long if they don't lower them a bit, especially with Wetherspoons a few yards away!

A really great brewery bar in Penarth town centre serving craft ales and beers brewed in Cardiff, and best of all they also serve an amazing menu of southern Indian street food, which is inventive, tasty and fairly priced. Friendly staff and plenty of seats.

Excellent. The usual good ale and a fantastic falafel burger. Here's hoping Gareth will be able to cook one in the Canton shop
