Went to paint and sip with friends here. Really unimpressed. We were promised a cheeseboard as part of the deal but actually we got one between three of us which for the price we paid for the event was bad. The painting class was dull- a boring sunset, and the teaching minimal and not very skilled. To top it all off the pub was absolutely freezing and there's not atmosphere whatsoever. Would not recommend and will not waste my money again.

What happened to this lovely friendly local? The decor is what someone who wasn’t around in the 80’s thinks the 80’s looked like. To add to the horrendous colour scheme it looked like the decoration was carried out by drunks. I remember this pub when it was run by Alan & Helen Snell and it was fabulous. So sad to see what was once a lovely local pub destroyed. 😢

If you want poor service and being charged £9.50 for a rum and ginger beer (when they try and call it a cocktail) The member of staff behind the bar was arrogant and rude. Such a shame, used to be a nice place. Dirty tables, rude staff and no atmosphere. Won't be going back!

My husband and I visited The Salisbury Arms with our very well behaved dog. We’d had a very stressful day and wanted to go out for a relaxing drink. I sat down at a table (the pub was empty) while my husband went to the bar to order the drinks. Our 18 week old puppy barked twice. The bar man shouted from behind the bar to say that we weren’t welcome. He was incredibly rude and short. If you’re wanting a relaxing drink, in a friendly pub don’t bother visiting Salisbury Arms! Every pub in Salisbury is dog friendly/friendly apart from this one.

I dropped in for a late night pint. The barman said something along the lines of "How was your day?" A simple pleasantry that makes such a good impression--you immediately feel "I like this place". He gave me a taster of an excellent stout, which sold me on it. Saves you standing there like a lemon not knowing what to choose. When I told this charming young man I was visiting Salisbury for the first time, he went out of his way to give me the low down on its in and outs, jotting some places to see on paper for me. Thanks to him, I visited the museum and the Old Mill pub that looks across the very view of the Cathedral that Constable painted. He also gave me the inside info on Stonehenge and its surrounding area, which he was brought up close to (around Shrewton?). This gentleman was one of the highlights for me of the city he's so proud of. A credit to the Salisbury Arms. Don't miss this pub, it's a gem.

Let's start with the cocktails shall we . Upon ordering our drinks it became quickly clear that certain spirits were not being included in our classic cocktails. When I brought this up with the staff he told me that oh they don't add that. I am not being funny but if you are serving a classic cocktail that has a very simple and well known recipe and you just take out one of the ingredients , can it still be called that? It changes the whole flavour and is rather misleading as what you are actually selling. I know times have been hard lately and I have heard of cutting corners but I wonder how many others they are just simply not adding all the alcohol ingredients to . Now to the biggest let down . We sat in the garden area and it's filthy so much so there was a furry little friend running around the make shift kitchen area . There's uncovered food there too and Mr rat was having free run of the place. It's not helped by the bins being right by the seating area no screen or anything and quite a noticeable odour. Unfortunately my friend had already ordered a burger so we decided to just ask to have it to go as we didn't fancy staying and that was the cherry on top of the disappointment. For somewhere that bigs itself up on its burgers what we received was shameful and I don't even think our furry friend would even attempt a bite from this monstrosity. Don't waste your time here unless you enjoy disappointment. Hopefully they will get the cleaners in soon or at least start paying Mr rat a decent wage . Poor show

I deference to the outside it is quite modern inside. More of a large cocktail bar than pub but I still found an ale to my liking. No low/non alcoholic ciders or lagers but the barman made a brilliant mocktail for my wife.

12 of us turned up at 9pm on Saturday 7th August. Even though they were already busy, they were so accommodating, friendly and we all had a great night. 4 of us had burgers and a few had the chips. We left there just after midnight - a really good evening. I was celebrating my birthday. Thank you to them all. Xx

Came here after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ordered a burger with cheese, and if came with Rosemary fries The burger was amazing! Cooked to perfection, and perfectly flavoured. So many places do burgers with allalers of extras but here they let the burger speak for itself (although there are many extras you can ass onto it) The rosemary fries were also very good It was the let size, not so big you felt bloated but big enough that you felt satisfied. If you want a burger in Salisbury then definitely go here!!

Tough to fault. Just popped in for cocktails as recommended on Trip Advisor. Two for a tenner. A couple of rounds. Staff were great, Layla especially helpful, service with a smile. Lovely outside courtyard to sit in, hundreds of foliage around us! We thoroughly enjoyed an hour’s respite here. Thank you!

We only had one night in Salisbury but we were so glad we tried the Craft Bar. Super friendly staff headed up by Chris, but also with the sort of other customers you feel comfortable with. Cocktails were excellent but for us the smashed burgers with rosemary fries were the star of the night. Really simple perfectly seasoned (you can choose more toppings) but done really well. Big but not to big to pick up and thank god no skewer or cocktail stick trying to hold it all together. There are so many hipster burger bars out there claiming this and that, but I don't think you'll find one that beats these. All in all very good value. Will be very tempted to make a detour when ever passing salisbury.

Easily the best cocktails in Salisbury, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and a great variety of drinks, the burgers were top notch too.

Visited with friends for cocktails and sat safely outside. Precautionary measures were in place and there was full table service. The cocktails were delicious and staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely return and recommend to others.

Found this bar after level another one in Sailsbury was quite living up to expectations. Without a reservation we were seated and looked after well. Paula was the waitress for the evening. Helpfully friend and polite for the whole visit. Very attentive and could not ask for better service. Jay the young lady on the bar was amazing. Such good cocktails. Fun visit with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Immediately disappointed when, having craft in the name and on the building, found not much in the way of craft beer. No changing selection, nothing of any real interest, Beavertown Gamma Ray was the best on offer. That said, we stayed for a few, the staff were very friendly and we had food. As a recent convert to vetarianism, had their Hippy Shack vegan burger which was incredibly good. I honestly thought we'd been served meat, but not so. Our friends' beef burgers were also excellent too. In summary, great burgers but lots of room for improvement if the name craft is intended to describe the beer.

We love the Salisbury Arms. It is a lovely open pub area, with plenty of seating and a nice relaxed atmosphere. They always have a great selection of beers, with continual changes throughout the year. Also a nice board game selection!

We held a leaving meal for a friend last night, I booked ahead and reserved a table which was the way ahead as it was buzzing with people when we arrived.Considering there was 15 of us and how busy it was the service and staff were amazing. The food was fantastic a big hit with everyone and apparently the best vegan burgers my friends had ever eaten!Everyone had a wonderful evening and commented on what a find this place is. The bar staff didn't stop all night! The cocktail making was great to see too. I couldn't recommend this place enough for a fantastic evening with friends.

this place is amazing. we all had the burgers and double fries and let us tell you our new friends reading this that we were like whoaaaaaaaaaa , we felt like we were tucking in to a burger and fries from From Texas. Everything was perfect. the staff cool dudes. the food was warm. the bread buns that held our MOTHERMODE burgers in tack was lovely.Hey Man this place is real. never lose what you have and your beer we thought reminded of a long forgotten Colt 45. If you're a vegetarian or vegan who is tired of eating squishy bean burgers that shoot out of the bun as soon as you take a bite, you'll likely enjoy Craft Bar's moist char-broiled, plant-based burger (even my carnivore husband wished he'd ordered it when he tasted it). I had the "plain" version which comes on a vegan brioche bun, with special sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. You can get it with vegan cheese, but my burger was so good, it didn't need it (there are two other versions: one sounded pretty spicy, with jalapenos and sriracha and the other burger was onions and BBQ sauce). Burgers come with rosemary skinny fries. The beer was a bit "meh," but since I was in burger heaven I scarcely noticed what I was drinking.

I have to say this is the best burger I have ever had!! Tom the chef is so so helpful and was cooked from the outside kitchen in the beer garden. It is a must try for all!!

I love it here and always bring anybody who visits me in Salisbury. Consistently fantastic food, great and knowledgeable staff and good selection of drinks..creative cocktails too. Unmissable if you're in the area.

Called in with friends for an evening cocktail - or two! Quick service and was just the ticket. You must check this place out AND try their burgers, that come with frites at no extra cost unlike some in Salisbury.

PB & J burger was fantastic. Friendly staff and the happy hour cocktails from 5-9PM at 2 for £10 was a great deal. Would definitely recommend if in Salisbury.

We're luckily in Salisbury that we're fairly spoilt for choice for pubs. For me, the Salisbury Arms is my favourite. Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere and soon as you walk through the door. AMAZING, simple but delicious food. It just works!

We had two of the three vegan options yesterday and they were great. The fries were good too. The pretend meat was very realistic, which was impressive but just a heads up in case that’s not your thing. A few good beers on tap too and the staff are super friendly and welcoming.

Cocktails are great and always taste amazing. The only thing I would say is the staff aren't always flexible about making cocktails off menu, even if they have the required ingredients - they used to do a great French 75 and when I asked for it last they said it wasn't on the menu anymore and therefore they couldn't make it for me :(

Not many places in Salisbury serving street food of this Caliber in Salisbury. In fact probably none. Certainly my go to place. All food done with integrity and inventiveness. They certainly know what they’re doing here. Salisbury you are spoiled.

Always a great place to spend an evening, or just an hour, or pre dinner drinks. Good range of cocktails, now 2 for £10 mix n match until 9 most nights, a selection of draught craft beers, urban style outside courtyard for warmer weather.

It was very busy for a school night, burger was delicious. I had 2 non alcoholic cocktails which are not on the menu, the bar tender improvised, the drinks were tasty.

This is a great pub with great staff. It has recently been renovated inside. The nice barman made me a really nice mocktail. Small simple menu of mainly burgers. Beer garden to the rear.

Popped in for lunch with a couple of mates for a quick bite for lunch. Burger & fries for £5, which was superb, a little small on the portion size, but I like large portions; bar staff attentive & welcoming; good choice of pump ales; great off-the-beaten-track atmosphere too. Well worth a visit :)

I’m not going to knock the concept as I do love the food and drink , but this time found the greeting and service clinical bordering on robotic, when asked if they were doing food we had the under 18s have to leave by a certain time ,and my sons and there girlfriends had to be id checked with the eldest being 21 , to me it’s not a good welcome,yes I do understand the law , and have held a liquor licence , but there is ways to not humiliate people , on my last visit only one of my sons was treated the same ,this is more of a observation than a complaint,

I've went to the Craft bar after it closed for refurbishment and I have to say that they did a great job! The staff is efficient and friendly as always, the quality of the food is amazing and the drinks not only are good but have a couple of new additions that add the extra oomph in what I believe is the best bar in Salisbury

We came here on the first night of a 2-night stay, and it was so good we came for the second night too! Burgers were lovely - we tried beef, chicken and mushroom/cheese and all were great. The cocktails were brilliant: quality ingredients, freshly prepared by people who obviously knew what they were doing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining the different combinations to us. The prices were very fair - two for one cocktails, what's not to like?? We'll definitely be back!

Recently visited for the first time. Fantastic cocktails and they were on a 241 offer which made it even better!! I have heard that the burgers are fantastic a few passed us while we were sat there and they did look really good.

Visited again with friends this week for both food and cocktails. We had been to the Bridge Tap on the same night as they also do 2for1 cocktails but they took a very long time to come so we came back to our usual at the Craft Bar where the cocktails were served quickly by friendly bar staff. The food we had was, as always, perfect. I was taken for a meal at 7Bone the night before and didn't think it was a patch on the Craft Bar burgers! The only thing I would say on this visit is that the sweet chilli sauce was missing from our meals and I hope that it was just an oversight! Thanks again guys, see you all soon

On a night out with friends we decided to stop in at the craft bar after searching for a bit of nightlife. The craft bar ticked all the right boxes, good music, kowledgable staff and tasty hand made cocktails. After chatting with the manager it was obvious to see that they genuinely care about the work and that they are dedicated to there art when it comes to cocktails. Good prices, cracking cocktails and a comfortable atmosphere. What more could you ask for

Another good visit and definitely a better burger than another restaurant in town. Also much better value.

The southern fries are without doubt the best prepared potato i have ever had, and I’m a chef and do love a chip, beers are great and they have a huge choice, great service to, 100% worth a visit

Been here a few times with my brother now and I can honestly say it is brilliant. The staff are friendly, the beers are delicious (they have a large selection of craft ales on tap) and the burgers are juicy and delicious. All I’m shocked by is why not people use it? If you want a great, homemade, delicious burger then go to Salisbury Arms rather than a chain - you won’t regret it!

Hidden away by Salisbury Market place, this is a cracking American style bar. Great staff who are polite and helpful, the beers are great and I love the fact that they have the American handles and glasses too. The burgers are out of this world and I can’t recommend the peanut butter and bacon jelly enough, it is delicious and I have had it a few times! Forget the chain burger places in Salisbury this is the place to go for the best burger in town.

After our great visit last time we were hoping that we would have as good a time again however sadly it wasn't as good as we remembered. The food wasn't piping hot and the beer I wanted had run out (I know that isn't the fault of the pub but it is always frustrating when pins have to change their barrels over).

Great burgers, good drinks menu. 2 for 1 cocktails are a bonus. Always a nice welcome. Happy to have this as our local.

Really looking forward to catching up with family for cocktails and homemade BBQ burger, couldn't fault anything until my bro-in-law ( who suffers with ibs) needed a glass of water to help his food down, was refused a glass water, then refused bottled of water from the very young ( apparently) person in charge, terrible customer servicewould come back for the cheap and lovely cocktails but NOT FAMILY RUN CUSTOMER SERVICE, such a shame, i will share my experience

We held a welcome home party here and it was just perfect. Great selection of beers and cocktails and a fabulous Gin selection.Nothing was too much trouble - the service was fantastic and we had a hot buffet which everyone just loved. Thank you for helping to make a special day just perfect!

We love this place and you will too if you love gin, they have an excellent selection and a fantastic range of really good cocktails ( not the rubbish you get in high street chains ) - but what also makes this bar great are the staff, so friendly and welcoming, a rarity these days.

We visited with my boyfriend this nice little place. The servis was really nice and friendly. We got the burger and beer. Food and beer was excellent quality. Really nice visit. 100% recommended.

Doing some washing at the launderette around the corner so needed somewhere to sit for an hour.The pub is just up from the bingo place on Endless Street. Really nice inside, tastefully decorated and not your typical smelly old pub. Staff are really nice and personable, good recruiting management! We had already eaten, but looked at the menu. Apparently due to restricted space for a kitchen at the rear of this pub, burgers and fries are what is on offer. Have to come back and try the vegie burger.

I love it here, great staff who are always ensuring you are happy and being seen to. Delicious cocktails which are on offer at certain times. The food is amazing and it's definitely somewhere I will be visiting more often.

I spent the evening here for my friends stag do. We all had a great night , their selection of beers and ciders is excellent but the main reason that I felt I had to right this review is because of the burgers that they serve . I love a good burger a they make great burgers in fact it would be fair to say that the burger I ate last night is probably one of the best I've ever eaten and in my opinion the best burgers you can get locally , thanks for tingling my taste buds .

In Salisbury for one night and found this excellent bar.The bar staff were very knowledgeable about the (very good) beers on offer.The atmosphere was friendly.The burgers were absolutely fantastic.Our waitress was charming and very funny!The owner even came over for a chat once he had cooked those superb burgers.If we are ever back in Salisbury we will definitely return

Popped in for a couple of quiet drinks with my partner on a fairly quiet Thurday evening. Not much of an acknowledgement on arrival as 2 male staff were too busy mixing cocktails and chatting to a few students at the bar. Went back up to get a second drink and waited patiently for over 5 minutes while others were being served. When all those in front of me had been served the barman disappeared and on return went to serve 2 female students who had just walked up to the bar, completely ignoring me. Shockingly rude. Will not be going back and will not be recommending to anyone.

Visited here May bank holiday whilst on a weekend break. The drinks were great, was a happy hour on cocktails which were fantastic, a nice selection of beers on offer as well. If you visit here try the chips, they were amazing. Staff were great, very friendly, accommodating and a good laugh. Looking forward to returning next time I'm in Salisbury.

We booked a table for a party of 6 having checked out the website and settled on a time of 1930. Upon arrival we were challenged by the barman who asked if the teenagers in our party were under 18. We confirmed they were 16 and were then told that it was their policy not to allow under 18's in the bar after 2000 hours and that they wouldn't be able to serve us. Clearly didn't think it important to mention this on their website or when we booked and made a follow up call!Firstly it's a ridiculous policy as the kids weren't drinking and it's not against the law. Legally we could have bought them a drink to enjoy with their meal, let alone the fact it wasn't even 8 o'clock. I wonder if they kicked out the other teenagers that were eating at 8 on the dot?Secondly, awful customer service. Claim to be family friendly on the website and don't mention their policy until you turn up. Kicked out into the rain and to try and find somewhere else on a busy bank holiday with no attempt to resolve the situation,arrange an alternative visit or offer some form of apology.Humiliating way to treat people.

The PB&J burger has left me sticky and extremely happy. This is how you want to feel after consuming good quality beef. No questions, do it. Also, staff are bloody awesome.

Fantastic friendly staff, nice mix of people, great selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, but above all the best burgers you've ever tried. A good friend of mine came to visit from New York and we came here. He's since been trying to find a burger as good in Manhattan...and failing.

We thought we'd make a return visit to this place, to check out if it was as good as our first visit and, guess what, it was! Excellent burger (this time around I went for the one with peanut butter - yum!) and rosemary fries. I can honestly say I've never had a better burger anywhere. We will return!

The best place for burgers in Salisbury and the rest of the menu is great to. Always has a good atmosphere and lovely staff that make you feel very welcome, a rare thing in the pub trade these days. I would recommend to anyone that listens.

I organised a table of 14 for burgers and beers at the Craft Bar and I was extremely impressed. I emailed ahead of time and the correspondence was efficient, helpful and prompt.I pre-ordered burgers for everyone and there wasn't one mistake in the large order. The staff on the night were lovely and cheerful and were mixing some amazing looking cocktails, alongside a great range of beers.I even ordered a veggie burger which was delicious and looked as good as the meat options.The food was great and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.I couldn't recommend this place enough and would definitely head back there when next in Salisbury. Thanks to Sam and all the staff for all their help before, during and after the night!

The main thing you will remember after a night in the Salisbury Arms is the awesomeness of the staff. Nowhere in Salisbury comes close to the phenomenal teamwork of the guys there. I have been drinking here for many, many months and in that time have sampled most of the cocktail menu. Each one an absolute treat & not just due to the 'after work perks' meaning that there is a bogof offer. The Singapore sling has to be tried & tested, if not only for the epic cherries, Sam will sort you right out! The street food kitchen provides delicious fresh food, handmade burgers cooked to order by the very talented Chris whose looks are as tasty as his meals. If you like good food, great atmosphere and a cracking night out, give this gem a visit.

We were looking for somewhere for a casual lunch on a Saturday and saw this place on Trip Advisor - I was attracted by the review of 'best burger I've eaten'. Wow! We couldn't agree more! From the cosy ambience and super-friendly, intelligent staff to the most fabulous burgers, it hit the spot. Great background music too and, I've got to say this, none of the endless hard surfaces everywhere, which meant that we could actually speak to each other for a change! I can only reiterate another reviewer's comment of 'a gem of a find' and we'll most definitely be going back.

This place really is a hidden gem in Salisbury. Went here for our valentines night dinner. It had a cool relaxed atmosphere, good music, brilliant selection of craft beers and cocktails and absolutely delicious food!!! The best thing about this place in my opinion is the food. They serve American style street food cooked in the garden in a gazebo, the menu has an interesting selection of burgers, hot dogs and sharing bowls of topped fries. The burgers are moist and delicious, definitely the best burgers I've ever had!! Ever!! On Monday and Tuesday nights they do a £5 burger and chips deal which is incredible value, as well as 2 for 1 cocktails. We didn't have any cocktails as we wanted to try some of the great craft beers instead but we saw them being made and they looked amazing! I had the Beef Burger £5 deal and added some extra toppings and my husband tried the veggie Biryani Burger, both were delicious. We also had a big bowl of sharing fries (it was Valentine's Day after all ... don't judge us!) we choose the BBQ ones, topped with BBQ sauce, cheese and fried onions. These were soooo tasty! We loved them. Also the staff are lovely, friendly and really want you to have a great night. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Was not initial choice and on closer inspection not the place we planned to go. However this little gem was amazing! My friend and I strolled in to a warm welcome and decided to sit comfortably at the bar. We ordered a 2-4-1 cocktail, I had two expertly crafted Espresso Martinis and my friend had two of something herself, and we quite happily drank those down with gusto. We peered through the menu as we decided on more cocktails to consume, I chose the BBQ Triple Hog (beef burger with BBQ Sauce, Bacon, Bacon Jam, Hot Dog & 3 Cheese) with a side of sweet potato fries while my friend went for a Bacon Crunch (Smoked Cheddar, BBQ sauce, Bacon & Frazzels (the crisp)) with regular fries and oh my god the food was so good I didn't care that I looked like a mess! Such great flavours and textures it was all magnificent! Sam, the barmaid, really helped to make our evening go off with a bang as the laughter just kept coming. Great hospitality, will always return

Went with a group of friends and we had a variety of the burger meals on offer. On a cold February night these were cooked fresh on the outside BBQ! The smells drifting into the pub were amazing and drool making! The food was delicious. Perfectly cooked beef burgers, tasty moist yet crunchy chicken burgers. Generous portions. Really great evening. They serve local beers too! Highly recommended. We will be going back with our kids for one of the early bird type offerings!

I absolutely love the place. The first time I came in I was in search of a nice place with good food where I could relax with my friends after a hard day of work. Once I met the friendly staff, ordered some food and had the first bite I thought to myself "That's it. This is my favourite place in Salisbury."I never quite tasted such good handmade burgers ever in my life and they have also very big portions. They have a wide variety of burgers (I think I tried all of them), very good beer and the staff is so friendly that you will have a great time. They have tables outside in the back which are cozy for both summer and winter. The Craft bar is a must go when in Salisbury. Personal favourites: Double smoked bacon burger, southern fries and Weiss Beer.

I visited this place after reading the reviews on trip advisor. The place its self is non pretentious, if I had to make a minor comment I would scrap the new looking pine benches or stain them, also I think better use of the space could be made with more tables (which i'm sure they will require) but that's just personal taste. Ordered a PPJ Burger (about 10.50 with a side) and a hotdog meal for my friend (7.50 with a side). Both were served on rustic looking trays which kept in the character of the place. While the hotdog was good and really good value, the burger was the best I have ever tasted (Until then best burgers I had consumed were in the USA). I had mine cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection, moist but with a flame grilled flavour. Beers were great to tried a really nice chocolate porter and the girl behind the bar was great with suggestions. (Would love to see some German dark beers) but there was plenty of choice. This is my new fav eatery in Salisbury and I will def return.(nice work)

This Pub is the best experience you can find in Salisbury!Starting from when you get inside the place and are welcomed by the always friendly staff, all the way to the best burgers in Salisbury passing through a high quality selection of beers.On top of that the drinks menu is amazing, with options to cover everyone's taste!If the pub is not really busy, you can stick around the bar and have a nice chat with the staff members, but even when it is crowded the service is top quality!The atmosphere is really good and usually you'll find people from the ages of 25 up.You can have a sit in the backyard close to the grill and spend the night smelling the delicious aromas from the burgers that are prepared there! That's true, real grilled burgers!!If you ever come to Salisbury, you can't miss this place!

Love this place. Lovely people. Brilliant cocktails, brilliant beer, brilliant burgers, brilliant hot dogs. And brilliant atmosphere. Absolutely lovely. One of the best places in Salisbury. Their chilli jam is to die for. Can't recommend enough.
