There are a number of places to eat and drink in this popular street . Coxon and Coxon provides excellent wines and things to nibble on in a very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. People talking rather than shouting...interesting music in the background Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Nicky and Leo. The wines are of excellent quality and varying prices including by the glass. Excellent charcuterie.

We stopped by on sunday evening for a light supper. The two young ladies serving were very helpful indeed and helped us choose the wines to go with our mixed cheese and meat platter. A thoroughly relaxed, friendly and enjoyable evening, thanks to the staff who looked after us.

I was fortunate enough to find this gem in Berwick. The wine selection was unsurpassable as was the sympathetic decor and the outstanding service. I couldn’t give Coxon & Coxon a higher recommendation, if you want to buy some wine or just fancy a glass or two this is most definitely the place to go.

Serendipity took us to this newcomer to Bridge Street a delightful wine bar which offers delicious charcuterie & cheeses to accompany a good range of affordable wines. We enjoyed unhurried & relaxed conversation between ourselves & with the welcoming proprietor Sarah.

Visiting Berwick on a dull and damp day, we found ourselves by chance outside this place. We ventured in and are so glad we did. The mixed platter (cheese and charcuterie, etc.) was absolutely first-class, the wines we drank were excellent, and the price very reasonable. Sarah was huge fun, too! The range of wines for sale is fairly small but very well chosen. We ended up buying three bottles, one of which we drank when we got back home. It was very good, to no one's surprise at all. I cannot praise Coxon & Coxon's too highly. Thank you for an excellent birthday lunch!!

We 6 friends (4 locals & 2 Yorkshire visitors) had a very enjoyable wine tasting evening in this small but intimate setting. In the main we were not familiar with the exclusively old world selection of wines on offer but welcomed the opportunity to break away from our usual supermarket choices. We all look forward to returning to this excellent establishment to further broaden our wine tasting experience. Thank you Sarah for such a wonderful evening.

My wife and I popped in for an impromptu drink to check out this new (relatively) wine bar in Berwick and were seriously impressed. We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant young lady who brought water and pretzels to the table, before taking our order. Two excellent glasses of wine, a white and a rose, were then delivered with panache by the very friendly lady owner, to be enjoyed with the complimentary pretzels. We decided to turn a "quick drink" into lunch and had ordered a mixed cheese and charcuterie platter to share. This was made to order and was delicious, with three varieties of both cheeses and charcuterie, plus artisan bread and a garnish of almonds, olives, grapes and small peppers. The wine bar is relatively small with a lovely cosy ambience, enhanced by the playing of classical music. Living nearby in the Scottish Borders, we will certainly be visiting again.

What a find ! The proprietors have made a lovely comfortable space with a very warm and friendly welcome. I chose from a selection of 16 old world wines and a delicious platter piled high with sumptuous and unusual cheeses with locally made charcuterie. I was on my own and felt completely comfortable chatting to Sarah and Syd, reading my book or talking to other visitors. A very pleasant place to while away a few hours while staying in lovely Berwick. The Cremant is super-yum ! Easy to find in River Road.

I was recommended the Bari Tea Brewery by a friend and was not disappointed. The range of teas on offer was vast with many interesting flavours! I had the green ginger tea with a scone which was freshly baked and was very tasty! Service was very good and all the staff very friendly.

What a wonderful place to have a cup of tea! We were visiting the Heritage Centre next door and were taken in by the quirkiness of the idea and decided to have lunch in the carriage. We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming young man who gave us a few minutes to make our lunch choice. The tea was served in a traditional tea pot in “proper” china tea cups which was just perfect. Our food choices were soup and a cheese scone, ham and cheese sandwich and a sausage and bacon bun, all presented lovely and totally delicious. We were on holiday in the area and wish we live closer as I’d visit all the time. The prices were very reasonable and the service from the staff faultless.

The coffee stop absolutely went above and beyond for a 50th party that I arranged the food was exceptional and everyone off the guests said the same, more than enough food and amazing service I would rate Angela and George 100% if I could I honestly can not thank them enough for making the occasion so special.
