Came for a birthday celebration just two of us and got the board for 2 sharing board, food was lovely especially the pepper sauce and the service was great, the extra little birthday brownie and shot and the end of the meal was such a nice addition thank you!

Disappointed with the quality of the meat and the taste of the sauces (blue cheese and béarnaise) which we found sweet. The quantity of fries for two (we took the platter of 3 meats for 2 for £62) is really not generous. All in all I don't recommend

Very good restaurant, exceptional bbq- and Bernaise sauce. The rump steak a bit tough. The espresso at the end had nothing to do with an espresso, please improve that.

Perfect meal at COWSHED Liverpool. Chargrilled meats were just delicious and side dishes really matched the experience. The orange and cinnamon pannacota made the happy ending.

Visited a few weeks ago for my birthday. A lovely central setting handy for post meal drinks in a variety of bars. The restaurant is fabulous. Although the stairs may be a challenge for older or less mobile guests. We had a three steak sharing plate. My wife states it was the best steak she had ever eaten. Now, there's a statement. To be fair, I agree. Perfectly cooked with lovely sides, which included festive croquettes and bone marrow. The atmosphere was friendly with people visiting from abroad, most likely for the football. Great conversations going off everywhere, mostly complimentary about the food. The staff were friendly and engaging. Nothing was too much trouble. The wine was lovely and a decent price for the standard. Would we go again? Absolutely. You will love it!!

Had a booking for 2-30pm on December 28th. What a beautiful meal my partner and myself had, a platter for 2 with accompanying wine - delightful. Our chief waiter was James who was outstanding at his job along with his colleagues, highly recommend a visit, Gary and Sue

Gorgeous restaurant with lovely staff. The food was great (everything but the steak ironically.) It was just very chewy and the fat wasn’t rendered properly at all. Genuinely everything else was top class, delicious sides etc.

Unreal night at Cowshed, food was excellent and staff were a delight - so welcoming and helpful. Special shoutout to Charlotte for her incredible service - made my girlfriend’s birthday that extra bit special. Highly recommend!

Menu was small but contains their staple steak selection with starts, sides and sauces. The deep fried shrimp starter was to die for, the steak platter for 2 was really good also. Flat iron and ribeye were lovely and the rump was fine. Staff were helpful and friendly. Shannon our server was lovely

Three story building with toilets in basement, Good service from staff ,except the server never told us about specials that only came to our attention after we ordered our food , we had 3 steak sharing platter, Excellent steak and sides cooked to out request perfectly , Great restaurant, the only down side was the accessibility for persons with mobility needs

We had a fantastic meal at the Cowshed Liverpool today, fantastic service from start to finish and the quality of the food was out of this world. I had a rump steak, my wife had the Ribeye plus sides of fries, garlic mushrooms and cabbage and green beans, all of it was delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definitely return when we next return to Liverpool. The place is very popular so you will need to book online in advance.

Wow! Cowshed is everything we expected and more! Everything was just perfect from the moment we stepped in. I'm way to deep in a food coma right now ( absolutely worth it though ) to write down what everything was but needless to say it was all amazing! But as well as all the incredible food and drinks, the service from Jessica was some of the best service we've had in a restaurant. Happy, friendly, helpful, attentive without being pushy! She's a real credit to the restaurant. Prices were crazy good too considering the quality, you'd normally pay far more for an experience this good! Next time we're in Liverpool we'll 100% be back! Lovely relaxed vibes. Great service, fabulous food - we had the ‘greedy cow’ for 2. Flat iron, rump and ribeye between the 2 of us with 2 sides and 2 sauces was great. The blue cheese sauce was 11/10!!!! And the cheesecake special (biscoff cheesecake) was brilliant too!

The best steak restaurant we have ever visited. Gave me a whiskey shot and a birthday cake bite for my birthday. Highly recommend the hungry cows sharer as really good quality food and value for money

Slightly disappointed in the food. I don’t know if it is down to the quality of the meat or the cooking of it, but all 3 steaks were chewy and not a bit tender. Aside from that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, sides and starters.

Could not fault our visit. Firstly the food was fantastic, we had 3 courses plus sides and everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Service was excellent, our young waitress made us feel welcome and not rushed. I couldn't believe how busy this restaurant was on a Tuesday, definitely need to book! Food and drinks were not overpriced. Our waitress even sorted some candles and free shots as it was my boyfriends birthday. Will definitely want to return!

This place is absolutely unbelievable, the staff are so friendly and informative. The food is outstanding we got the greedy cow for 2 and you definitely do not need any starters with this we were so full and we couldn’t even finish the portions are amazing !!!. Highly recommend the peppercorn sauce I’m not a fan usually but this one is something else very rich so you don’t need more than one. Also recommend the Passionfruit Margarita was refreshing easily the best steak in Liverpool.

Brilliant steak restaurant - delicious food and reasonably priced. We visit every time we come to Liverpool

We were excited to try this Steak house as we usually go to Miller and Carter but went as it was recommended. The service is good, food was nice however when i ordered the waffle and eggs side i wasn't expecting 2 birdseye potato waffles and 2 fried eggs to be serves in that setting. The speed of the service is fast paced and seems rushed. We arrived at 4.45pm and were out before 5.45pm after having 2 courses. Mains served before starter plates had been cleared. I don't think we will be back.

Great place for steak and family get together. We went for my brothers graduation and had the flat iron aswell as the 3 sharing platter with the sides. Sides were great as were the sauces. Would reccomend them all to be honest. Steaks were all cooked perfectly too.

This place was INCREDIBLE! We got three steaks to share (‘greedy cow’) and they were all cooked to perfection. Gorgeous atmosphere, lovely cocktails, brilliant service. Felt very relaxed despite being a nice steak restaurant. Perfect for date night. Can’t wait to go back.

We ended our daughter’s Uni journey as it started, with a meal at The Cow Shed! Fantastic steaks, cooked to perfection, with sides. We chose, waffles & eggs , fries & cabbage & chorizo 👌🏻 . We also had the blue cheese & garlic & herb cream sauces to accompany the steaks. Attentive but not fussy ott service. Small, but straight to the point menu. Our first meal here was full of tears & anxiety as our daughter started Uni & living on her own, our meal tonight was full of excitement as she looks forward to her graduation tomorrow! Thank you, I very much doubt we will return as we live 250 miles away, but it will always remain a great memory! ☺️🥩

Instantly the staff are lovely. Everyone of them were polite, Friendly and caring. May be the best steak I've had. As a chef, it was cooked to perfection. I'm not from Liverpool but when I come back, I'll definitely go again. Hopefully with people next time. 10/10

My partner and I went for belated birthday celebrations with a voucher. We ordered the share steaks (three steaks btw!) with chips and veg. Absolutely lovely steak and the perfect amount of food for two people. ~£60 is quite a hefty chunk of His Majesty’s, I think it was just over so obviously +£30 per head with just tap water ordered. I’d go again but would be a treat, not a spontaneous dine out.

We came here for our anniversary meal, the food was incredible, very speedy service, and great wine. The real standout was our server Charlotte, she made sure to take great care of us, nothing was too much trouble!! She made our night, thankyou so much!

My partner booked this for my 30th birthday weekend in Liverpool and we were not disappointed. We chose the cheesy garlic bread starter and fillet steak special for a main - WOW! Cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming and made my birthday that little extra special with a free chocolate brownie and candle. Reasonably priced for this hidden gem. We will absolutely be back!

Been here several times and always had a great experience. The last time we went was with my husband, my sister and her partner and my mum to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food was amazing, wine was lovely and our server was so friendly and funny. The greedy cow is great value. Was an evening full of laughs and great food, in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend, although probably not the best place for you if you're vegetarian or vegan 😉 (but they do have cauliflower steak).

If you like steak, this is the place to be. They even allow a half portion of either rump or flat iron steaks

We chose the Cow Shed for a 70th birthday celebration meal. We wanted a special place and the Cow Shed lived up to our expectations. Small and intimate, quiet with just a few tables it was just the place we wanted. The food was just first class. We both had fillet steak with fries and shared two sides. These sides were different to usual and excellent. We had to have a desert and mine came with a candle. We rounded off the evening with excellent coffee and a complimentary liqueur. We cannot fault our night out. It will be hard to beat. Expensive, yes. Worth it? Yes, for this special occasion very much so. Thank you.

I was a solo female on a Thursday night with no booking. Very friendly staff who were able to fit me in which was a nice surprise although felt they were not used to solo people asking for a table. Maybe do not make it so obvious in the future! Apart from that, the service was attentive, friendly and spot on. The food was very nice. I usually ask for salt as the steaks tend to be under seasoned but it was perfectly seasoned on this occasion. Lovely salad with Parmesan cheese. I would definitely recommend this place if you fancy a steak and youre in Liverpool.

In my short 60 years on good ol' mother earth, my first trip solo into Liverpool and I am so glad I decided to book a table there, the best steak I have ever eaten. The place has a lovely ambience. The staff are very professional, the attention to detail Freya paid just to line up the mats spoke volumes for the attention and attitude of the staff. So nice to find an establishment like that. Will definitely be back and bring others.

What a lovely place with fantastic food! I was travelling with work in the area and decided to give this place a go and I was very glad I did. The food was delicious - I had a Ribeye that was perfectly cooked and very tasty, the chips where lovely. The staff where very welcoming and a made sure I was well looked after. Overall a lovely experience would recommend if you are in the area!

Good steak at an amazing price point with high quality wine and cocktails. We were a bigger group so were seated in a private room which just added to a fantastic evening. The staff were so friendly and understanding whilst maintaining a high quality service.

The food was alright for the price, I ordered medium rare for the steak and half of it is medium and half of it is well done ( I don’t know how you manage to make a steak like this) I cook better steak than this ngl. The atmosphere is kind of bad, there is a table of girls behind us who are extremely loud and I feel like I am in a nightclub… Worst part? Some of the waiters are messing around with them and took them ages to notice that I am trying to order my food.

High quality steaks. We tried the Greedy Cow for 3 and added a fillet. Very tender and juice. Few places to enjoy good meat like this. Ask their blue cheese sauce. It's delicious! Ask for Eva.

We visited for the first time last night and loved the place and food. Service was excellent throughout too. We tried the current special and it was full of flavour, with a perfectly cooked steak. The smoked bacon and maple cream was also a highlight and went perfectly with the steak, along with the spring onion mash. We also tried the garlic bread and current croquettes special (braised beef brisket). Both of these were packed with flavour. We can't wait to visit again!
