really great little shack. staff are always kind & friendly. we always go to this place if we want an ice cream, they’re really great here and they also offer an excellent selection of vegan & dairy free ice cream so it’s great for those with dietary requirements. the dairy ice cream comes in various flavours with various cones so everyone within your party will be happy with the selection. there’s something for everyone.

We’ve been ‘locals’ now for just over a year and have walked past here regularly but only today spotted a seating area at the rear. Maybe it’s new or maybe we’re just not that observant, but after a long walk we popped in for coffee & cake. The young lady who took our order was super helpful & polite, the coffee was very good and the cake was delicious. The view was fabulous and there was a wood burner that will be amazing on colder days.

It was a cold day but the lady in the shop was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Nice place to stop for a coffee and donuts.

Lovely, fresh fish and chips. Piping hot, good sized portions, and fab value for money. Would visit again next time I’m in Weston.

It’s unfair to show this place as less than 3 out of 5 and so low in the rankings. All the latest reviews have been 4 or 5 star, and you have to go back to 2019 to find a negative review. We had cod and chips from here today on a busy and hot August day. We only waited about 10 minutes, they were freshly cooked, generous and some of the best we’ve had anywhere. At £7.90 considerably cheaper than our local chippy.

Had delicious freshly cooked fish and chips from the kiosk today. We sat at the picnic tables provided and although it was very windy the food more than made up for it. Also thought the prices were good compared to lots of others around. Will definitely visit next time we’re down.

My husband and I come to Weston a lot and have tried various fish and chip places but Cove West is hands down the very best. Crispy, fluffy, piping hot chips. Lots of lovely 'scraps'. Honestly don't go anywhere else.

Absolutely delicious battered vegan sausages and chips, curry sauce and gravy. Very generous portions, with some free vegan mayo thrown in too. Staff were lovely. So good that we returned for more of the same the following day.

I have visited lots over the past few months, for either coffee or food from the chip shop. The vegan sausages and chips are so tasty. Great value for money! Highly recommend!

I'm puzzled by some of the previous bad reviews. We came here today for some cod and chips to takeaway to eat on beach in the sun. Staff were lovely and friendly and polite. Fish was so fresh and delicious and very light batter. Chips plentiful. Thank you guys, was lovely. My only comment is all good reviews are since lockdown so maybe being a takeaway is the right move after all. Will definitely come again.

The fish was delicious & boneless, the batter was light and crispy. The chips were plentiful and there was unlimited salt and vinegar to bathe them in :-) It was remarkable quality and value for money.

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon, very welcoming to see Vegan options provided. Ordered 2x small portions of vegan cheesy chips. Portion size was so big I couldn't finish. Really tasty. Great, friendly service. Will definitely visit again on next trip to Weston.

I was very impressed with the vegan options here. They’ve actually thought about it, rather than offer the same old mush and poor excuse for a sausage that other places offer. I was told that even more choices will be available once they get a new fryer. Well done! Delicious chips and doughnuts too.

Coming in from a cold windy walk to a pot of tea and the best fish and chips I've ever had was amazing. Me and my boyfriend sat in here for hours by the fire and looked out across the beach at the pier and I felt utterly content. The staff were really lovely and friendly as well. (If you get the cod and chips get the gravy too, it was worth it)

How do you get a bacon roll so wrong,the boss answered our question, we always pre-cook the bacon and warm it up,that's ok then to serve bacon so overcooked it would be easier eating cardboard, cheese and ham pannie, warmed up cheap roll filled with ham and cheese,unfortunately I was under the impression the cheese came melted in a pannie,not the case in this cafe,pot of tea,must be the cheapest teabags on the market, the tea tasted awful,on a positive note they allow dogs,shame they even turned their noses up at the bacon,do not visit this cafe,there are plenty to choose from on the seafront I've been in most,this is easily the worst,best thing is the management don't even care, obviously cater for tourists who won't be returning, unfortunately I'm a local who will never return.

This is more of a sitting outside for sea views place. Inside is fairly basic, but looks loads better since its been painted. Cheap for tea and coffee.

Called in for a drink and to escape a rain shower. We just had a coffee and a tea and biscuits. The coffee was good but served in a cup with no saucer. The young girl server plonked it on the table so that it spilled over and then just walked away, no apology or attempt to clean the spill she caused. There were several chips dropped on the floor by the table next to us. She had to walk past them several times to serve us and other tables. There was no attempt to clean them up. Service was also without smile or any attempt to communicate. I just felt depressed when we left that people working in hospitality can't do better or set higher standards for their staff. Would never go there again.

We went for a large chips takeaway. We watched in wonder as they worked in the kitchen. A bowl was dredged through the part cooked chips, emptied into the chip pan and then the bowl thrown like a frisby back on top of the part cooked.

not my place for another visit had to order by door it took dogs and the food not up to my standard the only thing its wheelchair friendly

Went in here for breakfast with my 2 children and dog. The place is very scruffy and dirty and you have to order when you walk in through the door at a tiny little plinth when there is a spacious bar area behind......everyone who walked in went to the bar and were told to go back to the entrance to order - all very odd - just move the till!

Sign says "Well behaved dogs on lead welcome inside." My brother-in-law and myself in wheelchairs and our wives found this to be the best cafe we visited in W-S-M for the standard of its food. We also enjoyed the 'well behaved' canines and the friendliness of their owners!!!

El lugar tiene unas vistas preciosas. Hacía mucho frío y todo el mundo estaba usando dentro de abrigos. Teníamos cuatro comidas y todas ellas estaban secas y cocidas, el pescado, el pollo y las patatas fritas. Mi pasta de pescado fue quemada por un lado y si los niños no había estado tan hambriento que habría pedido el dinero y a la izquierda. El pan y la mantequilla fue sin embargo agradable! El personal es agradable, pero muy joven. Tuve que pedir papel higiénico - sólo 1 aseo, que no estaba muy limpia. Ojalá hubiera leído tripadvisor antes de ir allí. Lamentablemente, es el peor pescado y patatas fritas experiencia que he tenido!

Huge ice creams for £2, about 8 different flavours to choose from but very yummy! Watch out for the seagulls though!

So dirty I would never risk eating. Staffed by a local youth club. No quality anything. It's typically poorly managed and just not worth your time. So much lost potential.

Had breakfast here it was beautiful .. food was freshly cooked sausage was lovely and very friendly service ..amazing views of the sea we will be coming here again

El precio de bacalao y patatas fritas era más elevado que en cualquier otro lugar en el paseo marítimo - me equivocadamente tomó este signo de calidad. El lugar parece un poco viejo, pero al mismo tiempo alguien obviamente ha intentado spruce up la triste habitación otherwised aspecto. Como esperé un interminably mucho tiempo para mi comida me di cuenta que las mesas sin recoger y comida en la planta no se debieron a un servicio prisas pero la indolencia del personal adolescente. Cuando la comida al final llegó la comida era genial, pero el bacalao había pagado por no era Cod. Personal completamente indiferente. Cuando les pedí que me debería quejarse de que lo hombros. encontraron un adulto, que realmente no les importa. Me encantaría apoyar la queja de cualquiera de las normas de comercio ya que no son simplemente para conseguir lo que has pagado.

día soleado! Nos detuvimos en delicia nadar al oeste para el almuerzo con la familia. Pedimos 4 x bacalao y patatas fritas y se sentó y admirar la vista. Una delicia.

Im glad I didnt read the reviews on here before I went, I might of not gone in! But Im glad I did, have been in there a couple of times now! Chips are great, just as chips should be! The veggie burger is sweet...

Let down by poor presentation. Having paid £6.50 for a sit down meal was surprised to have it presented in cardboard boxes.

Popped in for hot drinks, crockery dirty and damaged, floor filthy, toilets filthy, two girls serving were pleasant enough. Shame as its got the location but needs a strict cleaning regime.

Tasty food... service was great, dog friendly water bowl for dog and sign to say dogs are welcome inside to!! perfectly situated right next to beach, :-D

expected a lot from this as its run by the wonderful Cove ... perhaps it still has to find its feet but it doesn't seem to know what it is. Given its location it should succeed but it needs to get an atmosphere.

I cannot completely agree with the previous comments assuming it was the same cafe. We saw no dogs, the chef was a youngish lad and the two waitresses were very helpful. We actually arrived after they had finished breakfasts but when I asked if it was possible to still get a breakfast, Orsy, (that is the name of the server on the bill) asked the chef who readily agreed to do me a breakfast. Usually I get told sorry but we stopped doing breakfasts at whatever time so was quite suprised when she came back and said yes. The place was clean and well maintained as far as I could see. I can only say as I see but for a seaside snack bar, not a restaraunt, I have no complaints.

Decided to try CoveWest from a late lunch. We arrived and sat down only to find they allowed dogs in the restuarant! Now I am a dog owner myself, however, when subjected to a large alsatian dog licking the tops of the tables with the owner constantly hitting the dog to sit down, another dog on the floor gagging as if it were going to be sick and the Chef coming out of the kitchen to stroke one of the dogs, eating there no longer became an option.I may as well have been eating in a Veterinary Clinic.
