Ate here yesterday while visiting Weston super mare, chose here based on the apparent good reviews. Unfortunately this was not our experience here. The food was not good, the fish and chips we had were oily and the chips were full of crispy, oily bits so a fair bit of our meals were not eaten. Then one of our party was poorly later that day. 4/5 given for service just purely for the young lady on the counter who took our order, she was friendly.

The honey and stem ginger ice cream was to die for! Chocolate was also super yum, actually they went amazingly together. Very healing heartbreak food <3

Maybe the best seaside fish and chips ever. Really surprised to get perfectly cooked fish and crispy chips from the little kiosk. Lovely service and nice seating area.

Really weird, 3 windows - one for ice cream, one for donuts and coffee and one for serving. So we had to order and pay at separate windows... Marshfield ice cream which I love, flavoured hot chocolate was already in cups they just added hot water to, the whipped cream was a foamy substance not cream and mint sauce topping was guewy and disgusting, so sweet even my daughter couldn't drink it. We ordered donuts asking for 2 cinnamon and 2 sugar and was met with "cinnamon has sugar in!" - I had to tell her I didn't like cinnamon. Just the whole thing was made so difficult.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff so friendly and nice. Good prices. I had cod bites with chips and it was fantastic. Most of the time, chips from the seaside look under cooked and are hard, not these ones, they looked amazing, cooked just right, tasted great. Seating area. Also went and got an ice cream from the same area. Which was beautiful.

I cannot really comment but my partner loves the coffee, doughnuts and Mr Whippy ice cream Service is OK but it has been busy over bank holiday weekend. So it can involve a queue

Best chips on the Sea front if not the whole of Weston in my opinion, service is always top notch too!

Fish batter was nice and crispy and the fish was so moist the chips was nice also, had a few sausages cooked for the dog too and the guy cut them up, was reasonable price for fish and chips will be buying from here again when come back to Weston-super-Mare

Had the battered vegan sausages, normal chips and vegan cheesy chips, and enjoyed all of it. Hot, tasty and decent portions. Will come here again!

Good food, curry sauce is lush. Bit of a wait as the man was on his own dealing with the lunch time rush. Would visit again

We went for some drinks and food. Food was decent to be fair, can’t complain. But the ice cream after decided to melt within seconds of being served which left us unhappy and sticky handed.

Went to Cove West today for lovely fish n chips as always to watch the Air show highly recommended.

I have visited cove west a few times this year now. The food from the chip shop is so good! Especially the vegan sausages. Coffee is always fresh and hot. I’ll defiantly be back!

Came in on a cold day looking for fish and chips, after reading a number of reviews our expectations weren’t high but we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were lovely and friendly, the service was good and the food even better. We shall definitely be coming back !!

A great range of options from the menu, including vegan meals at a good price. We had to wait a while for our food, but it was busy and we respected that the staff were doing their best. We had exceptional customer service from the young lady with glasses and we couldn't recommend this place more! They are in a great location and the food tasted lovely. We had vegan battered sausage (you get 2x in the meal with a massive portion of chips) and some cheesy chips (also vegan!). At the end of our day in the town and on the pier we even went back and had an ice cream (nice variety of vegan options), which was a large portion as well!

Just popped in for a takeaway ice cream. There was a good selection of flavours including some for people with dairy allergies and they didn’t skimp on the portions. All done very hygienically.

Our family walked seafront and decided to have a takeaway. We ordered fish and chips to share, we had a short wait for order to be prepared, it arrived and was really nice and warm. There were picnic tables to sit down at nearby, we enjoyed the food and the lovely view of the sunset.

Very slow service, we only ordered 2 coffees but waited over 10 minutes. 2 star instead of 1 star review - the coffee was very good.

I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews. We live in Weston and have only been here once. The service is terrible, we waited ages for our drink. The place appeared to be staffed by teenagers with no management or direction. Prices are expensive and it was very dirty when we visited. We won’t be returning, which is a shame as a great location.

lovely beachside takeaway. they do delicious chips, as well as a great range of vegetarian / vegan food. had an amazing vegan hot chocolate and there were options for vegan cheesey chips and sausage, gluten free gravy. also vegware!!! totally unexpected for weston. thank you for being so aware of the environment and for having great options for all diets.

Decent food, ok service, overall mundane

Great vegan options which is usually unheard of at the seaside. We had battered sausage and chips. Also saw vegan cake at the till. Cafe was clean and staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Don't let the negative reviews put you off. We nearly did!

Dog-friendly cafes are very few and far between. Here, you can bring your dog and enjoy traditional fish and chips by the sea - I can't fault it.

We stopped here for chips, battered sausages and mushy peas. The chips were near enough raw, the sausages were burnt, the batter nonexistent and the peas resembled green clay. When the "food" was taken back to the serving window, my partner was offered no apology, refund or replacement food, just an empty "oh is it burnt?" £10 up the swanny..... Not a very good experience.

Gorgeous clean little seafront cafe with excellent menu choice for either sit-down or takeaway. Perfect stop along the seafront with friendly welcome staff -and an added bonus free toilets for customers too :)

Very rude boy serving who was very unwelcoming and quite abrupt. Cold pots of tea and hair in my strawberry sundae. Teapot lids were filthy. When I told the boy serving his reply was oh! No apology or offer of another sundae. Customer service skills need to be looked at. Definitely will be giving this a miss!!!

Nice staff and ideal for a quick bite and drink and I will be happy to return here another time.

Ideally situated on seafront. Tables inside and out hadn't been wiped from previous customers or day before. Mug for hot drink was dirty. Wouldn't visit again.

Fab breakfast after our yoga class. Lovely selection of fruit.

Nice cream tea for £5.50. 2 fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. Great views sat outside on a sunny day too!

Dirty sea water children came out covered in black clay not impressed

Myself and my best mate ended up in there with his 2 kids, and we had 2 coffee's, thought we were about to down 2 decent cups of strongish coffee, but said cups of coffee were more like 2 cups of sub-standard tasteless "coffee from Poundland" specials!

So happy that I can take my dog inside. Friendly staff, even let me take my Romanian Rescue dog in to bathroom, as he gets anxious if I leave him. Lovely Gluten free cake and coffee. Will be back again, and would certainly recommend 😁

Can’t recommend enough for vegan options! Two types of vegan battered sausage, vegan cheesy chips and incredible (home made?) curry sauce. This was everything I needed. Get some.

Not able to order fish as 'frier not working / ready' even though it was lunchtime. Ended up ordering sandwiches and a bacon roll. Bacon luke warm and smoked. Daughter wouldn't eat it. Staff were polite but very poor food hygiene practices witnessed in kitchen. Certainly would not eat anything from there again.

Terrible customer service, run by kids who stand around and do nothing along with eating in the kitchen then cook the food without washing their hands. All food and drinks are over priced. Awful.

AWFUL. The customer service is so bad. We ordered tea and they refused to give us two mugs so we had to share our drink with one mug.

Obnoxious, loud and miserable staff with customer service non-existent. Noisy and unfriendly environment. Cleanliness, disgusting ,with dirty cutlery, tables and glasses. Food was below average; which is reflected in price. Tried to enjoy our meal but was forced to watch the staff busy kissing behind the counter rather than clearing table or sweeping up the food on the floor. Only benefit was the fact that dogs were allowed in. Don't waste your time or money.

Not sure what I just ate but it certainly wasn't fish and chips! I've seen paint dry with more enthusiasm than the staff that works there! I feel I need a bath of bleach on leaving!

Great for ice cream. As much delicious Marshfield Farm as you can cram into a cone for £2! I haven't tried the food.

Warm welcome on a cold windy Sunday. Great fresh coffee and cooked to order breakfast. Not cheap sausages or bacon, good quality along with farmhouse toast.
