Lovely food and even better staff and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for anyone going past.

Absolutely delicious food cooked fresh to order. Lovely friendly staff , nothing too much trouble, my daughter and I had ordered different food but both arrived together and both meals was perfect

My daughter and I love pea and ham soup. We now are ill and cannot ever look at soup again. This was the most disgusting soup I have EVER eaten. Please do now serve this to anyone again. BICARBONATE OF SODA SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN SOUP. Do you taste it beofre you serve?

Waited a full hour for our meals, cafe was quite empty when we arrived but as we sat, it was evident we had sat In a space where the staff fear too tread as no one came to take out order as other later customers were having their orders taken... Anyway order taken it was a full hour before we got our lukewarm food... Used to be a lovely cafe this we were regular visitors before covid but definitely won't be visiting again, not even a sorry, no chicken, no pie...

Ordered a take away breakfast for my niece and myself & my partner this morning from here it was £32 - Short wait, polite phone service but the breakfast itself was an absolute inedible disgrace I just can’t believe they would think this was ok to serve someone this? Really disappointed!

Each time we've been we managed to get a table, had quick serice, food was lovely especially the pea and ham soup, even the breakfast was tasty... Will be visiting again.

Bit like faulty towers told the waitress something was missing off my food she then SNATCHED the plate aggressively taking the plate away we waited 30 mins for food for it to be wrong I’m disgusted that as a paying customer to be treated this way😢 the food is NOT cheap either very disappointed to say the least 28/09/19

Called in for a quick coffee, while my wife was shopping in the centre. Didn't know I had to display, supplied, a wooden spoon to let them know I required service but I was soon served anyway. Ordered coffee and toast, chose the thick toast and it turned out to be thick at least 1"! Food that others were eating looked really nice so I may persuade my wife to spend longer shopping in future!!

When I was in town I went into there with my husband and mum and dad for a bite to eat, and everything was perfect. The food from the chefs was delicious and tasty , the waiter was excellent customer service down to the atmosphere, and was spotless. Keep up the great work !

We came across this little place by accident. We sat down with our wooden spoon that we were asked to place on our table, after a few minutes our waitress came over and took our order. The food arrived and was lovely and fresh and hot. Staff were very helpful and patient. Service was of an excellent standard and will use again when passing through St. Helens. Would recommend this place.

I really do not know what has happened to this place. On our past 3 visits there has been an issue with food either being wrong, cold or just not cooked. Enough is enough. This was our last visit. Ordered an omelette, cut into it, I could of moped it up with a round of bread. I know eggs can be eaten raw, but not as an omelette. On previous visit, hot pot was served cold, had to return it. I had already put red cabbage on to the hot pot, so obviously when I returned it, they had just put it in the microwave, as when it returned, I burnt my mouth on the red cabbage. My partner order a breakfast with brown toast, white toast came out and items missing off the breakfast. The place is not longer clean. Such a shame as this was a lovely eatery before the new owners.

Been going here once a week for a couple of years. Never disappointed. Quite an extensive choice on menu. My favourites are the Lancashire hot pot and the salad platters. The latter are very large and appetising. I notice that the majority of clientele, like myself, are pensioners and we know a good thing when we find one! It is nearly always full, sometimes a small wait is necessary. The prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff attentive and obliging.

Un café muy agradable y concurrida. La distribución es un poco pequeño, pero si no hay mesas disponibles vale la pena la espera. La comida es preparada a pedido y, por lo tanto, un poco de espera pero periódicos gratuitos ayuda a pasar el tiempo. El personal es muy servicial y entregar un buen servicio al cliente.

Sábado y esperar 15 minutos 3 miembros de personal estaba hablando en la ventana de la cocina otro miembro ro si personal. Había mesas vacías tazas y platos. Le pregunté a la camarera si alguno estaba sirviendo dijo estar pronto con vosotros por haber cogido una cuchara de madera para mostrar que no te han servido. La señorita que estaba en la caja y sirve supongo era el director mantuvo sonriente me preguntó en poco cualquiera de las nunca personal para servir. Tenían su vuelta a clientes, así que no pudimos ver la señora de la mesa de al lado esperando. Después de 20 minutos me fui. Es una pena la comida parecía buen servicio al cliente pero horrible. No volver.

I often come here maybe twice a week the food is lovely the staff usually friendly but today on our visit I found that one of the staff members could see we were waiting to be served yet she totally ignored us and went to take orders of other people who had come in well after us I found that most rude and everyone should be treated equal the younger a person who took our order in the end was absolutely lovely before this young lady came over to take our order we had been sitting there a good 15 to 20 minuets granted I know they get very busy but to totally ignore us when that member of staff could see we still had the wooden spoon in which tells the staff we are ready to place our food order but she totally went to other people that had come in later which is why out of line you don't do that to anyone think we will be going else where if it happens again .

Called for a bite to eat , then saw the specials, hot pot with crust , home made I may say , not cottams , it was Devine ! Have daily specials, & offers , yea , nice , and staff friendly ! Only fault is again SMALL! Not wheelchair friendly or if you have a pram! All a tight squeeze , as there serving cooked meats , at the counter , St Helens ! Expand your eating out places !

Compramos algo de guisantes y jamón sopa para el almuerzo del marido a su solicitud, normalmente disfruta. Fuimos justo después de las 11 de la mañana, mientras que en el área de compras, solo espere un minuto o dos para ser servido como una comida para llevar, compramos. Cuando mi marido tenía más tarde fue realmente decepcionado, algunos de los guisantes eran muy duras, y la última vez que tuvo la sopa sucedió lo mismo. Aunque esta solía ser su sopa favorita que decidió no comprar más...

La comida, el servicio y el personal aquí es fabuloso, nada es demasiado problema, incluso cuando como siempre su apresurada de sus pies. La col es para morirse, aunque probablemente muy engorde. El único inconveniente es el aire acondicionado, es muy fría, que puede dejarle escalofríos, pero supongo que siempre podría mantener mi abrigo. Que no me impediría.

Iv venga aquí unas cuantas veces, la comida es buena, los únicos problemas que hemos tenido aquí es que el servicio puede ser lento, esperamos alrededor de 15 minutos antes de la camarera fijado nos sentamos. Una vez que conseguí su atención no esperar mucho tiempo para nuestra comida y era bueno.

No me puedo quejar de la comida, las camareras pobres dirigido desgarrados, asientos para cuatro es sin duda una de squash incluso para una familia joven, Isles t8 1992-93 y squash a través. Los precios son demasiado caros para un poco de café centro comercial. No hay baño minusválidos y no recomendaría intentar conseguir un niño en las escaleras de incendios de estilo para llegar a los baños.

Try to visit at least once a week , really lovely home cooked meals , very friendly staff ... also like to purchase a slice of Victoria Sponge on the way out as the cafe is also a Bakery shop as well .....

Its okay, nothing special. Ive eaten in this cafe a few times, one particular time the waitress was very rude, so much so that I complained to the management. It has definitely put me off eating there again.

Tried here as i thought the service was horrendous from 'nans kitchen' and the food wasnt all that either and im glad i did! Chips and gravy was lovely and the egg mayo was really tasty! I was also really impressed that they read the notes section of the order and included what id asked for in regards to sauces and salads etc as alot of places ive noticed dont bother.x

It's nice to find a place with sausages that are actually good quality and tasty, the egg was a little underdone but overall the food was great and the delivery was very fast.

Ordered 2 roast dinners and 2 milkshakes to be told that they only serve dinners on thusdays and fridays. I had already paid by card for the meal, the lady said we would get 2 big breakfasts.. i looked at the menu and could only see normal breakfasts which were cheaper than the roast. Was also mesnt to include tea and coffee. When the meal arrived the portion was so tiny, one of everything. No tea and coffee, for what we paid was ripped off. Wont be ordering again.

Went for breakfast before I went to work one day last week was served by Jayne who was very polite and courteous with excellent customer service

Visited this cafe this week(tuesday) and i was very pleased with the service and food. Although was very busy was served in good time with friendy and polite staff, will deffo return.

Sat and waited for my table to be cleared from the previous occupant for 15minutes.even though the waitress had acknowledged me and continued to chat to her colleague. In the end I left after getting tomatoe sauce all over my new coat from the table

My wife wanted brown sauce on her bacon and egg and didn't receive any and the Frappe seemed like they needed to be mixed better and were not worth the price other than that it was really nice food.

Wasnt great. Food was kind of smashed about in the box. Not enough beans and wasnt that nice to be honest.

Went here for my sandwiches to take out at lunch time. After being served I asked for a carrier bag. The lady informed me the bag would be 5p. I asked why they are charging for carrier bags. She replied by saying its the law that has come in. I pointed out that it is only compulsory for companies employing more than 250 employees to charge for bags. She replied her manager has said it is the law. Please advise your staff and yourselves about what is law and what is not. I hope if you are charging for the bags you are maintaining an accurate record so that this money can be donated to charity. As this information is something that the government will publish on a yearly basis, this is something that I will keep an eye on to see if you have done this. Due to the attitude of the person that responded, and that fact that the law was used incorrectly I shall not return to this shop again. Hopefully other customers will also adopt this approach when being lied to. As a regular customer I'm sure you made more profit on what I purchased than the 5p on the bag. This 5p charge for a bag has now cost you that profit. I shall continue to take my business to Pickles Farm. They don't charge for bags. They issue paper bags with their logo on. Maybe you should adopt this business model. Oh, and their staff smile and are helpful. Maybe your staff could adopt this approach.

Didn't call in to eat inside called in to buy some of their home made soup to take home for lunch. This was after 11am. The girl serving us was polite but when we asked her a woman in the kitchen area abruptly said won't be ready for at least 30 mins!! The other girl did ring cassandras their other cafe to see if ready there for us but yet again not for half hour. The previous owners when it used to be country larder always started early to prepare things obviously these don't.

Visited the cafe on 23rd, sad to say after 40 minutes we left without even receiving our coffee. We ordered food and coffee after about a 20 minute wait. We could see any reason for the delay in service.The cafe was not as busy as usual, they had about 3 staff waiting on tables. The waitress for our area spent most of her time chatting with the customers of one table and the other waitresses. I feel sad as on our previous visits the place is always full, food good and service is quick. Not sure what was going on that day.

We were out shopping last weekend and looking for somewhere to eat we found the Cafe Country Kitchen in Hardshaw Centre. The only served basic simple food, but what we had was excellent especially compared to what we paid. The staff were very pleasant, the cafe was clean and very tidy. Service was very quick.So if you are looking for a bite to eat in St Helens town centre then I recommend that you give this cafe a go you won't be dissapointed.

Allround, Top breakfast, Ordered 3 mega breakfast, Value for money! and they filled all 3 of us, We will defiantly coming back soon.
