Cotes Brasserie in Basingstoke and Deane

We were given a very warm welcome on our arrival. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent so was the wine (Sancere). The fries were a tad under cooked and my husband mentioned it. They were immediately replaced with an apology. This did not affect our meal at all. As it was my birthday we were given a free glass of Prosecco each, a birthday card and my pudding (crème brûlée) was served with ‘Happy Birthday’. I can highly recommend the pork belly and my husband had the mussels. Definitely well worth a visit.

We dine here regularly. The staff are super. However tonight the main dish I chose.. bœuf bourguignon..was really horrible. Tasted fishy and vile. Expensive and I couldn't finish it. Cheap ingredients poorly prepared. Very disappointed as usually I enjoy dinner at Côte.

We had a lovely meal and were treated to a free bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. Good food and attentive staff, a very good experience.
