Cote in Canterbury

Seven of us went for breakfast and everyone thought the food was excellent. The eggs benedict was first class and if you like black pudding you must try the french equivalent the boudin noir it was incredible!!!We all had breakfast and drinks and I thought £85 was very reasonable. We will definitely return

Lovely place for a meal with the family, nice atmosphere and staff are so friendly and polite. Food is very tasty and has good variety, we keep coming back!

We really enjoyed lunch here (our first outing in a year)The food was delightful-especially the perfectly cooked sea bass. The service was charming. What made this such a particularly pleasant experience was the care, preparation and thought involved to make everything as safe as possible. We would really recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning.

Rely enjoyed our trip to Cote. We arrived for a drink and stayed for dinner. Staff are lovely. Food is perfect. Really made our trip to Canterbury.

We enjoyed mussels and haddock goujons. Both were very nice. A little more vegetables would have been nice. Tasty lemonade. Not cheap but good value.

We are regulars, and have been for many years. Service is always consistent & quick in nice surroundings. Visited yesterday and was a little disappointed. We tent to always order pretty stable items on the menu, I has steak frites, which is always lovely. It was a touch overdone as is usually served med/rare but I can forgive that. My husband has a burger, but the meat was tough, not very much cheese etc.On a weekday, they used to do a good value lunch menu. This doesn't look like it's available any longer, which given the pandemic I can understand things have needed to tighten up slightly but it did feel like that across the board. My steak usually comes with a watercress/pea shoot garnish which was missing. No big deal but it does smack of trying to tighten up. Staff as I said are always consistant and the food always come out very quickly, but after his disappointing meal by husband said how much is actually made to order and no pre-packaged etc.I'm not sure if we'll go back to be honest which is a shame. Nearly £70 for a couple of starters, drinks, and two not fancy mains was a lot.

OK it’s not top draw but the menu choices, price and service make it a no brainer decision if you are looking for a brasserie experience.

Good food, good service, good surroundings. Couldn’t ask for more. The steak frites is a regular favourite.

Estos lugares se llenan muy rápido y tratar de comer allí sin reservar es algo en lo que deberías estar preparado para fallar, ya había reservado. Me dieron mi mesa favorita en el restaurante situado en la ventana del frente, donde podía "observar a la gente" a mi antojo. Mi amigo llegaba tarde, así que pude observar un gameto de la vida que me pasaba.Afortunadamente, Cote vende desayuno hasta las 2 pm los sábados y mi amigo llegó tarde, no arruinó mi plan para Eggs Benedict, uno de mis favoritos de todos los tiempos, como almuerzo. Pedí el crepe Grand Marnier del menú de postres y me sentí un poco abrumado y emocionado cuando estaba flameado en nuestra mesa. We went for Sunday brunch, met at the door by a very friendly man who was very helpful. Great breakfast lovely food. Friendly staff

1st visit to this chain of restaurants ... they bit like a French version of prezzos ...A.S.K ... Had a table outside under patio heater .. they doing Covid thing pretty well ... The food was really good my wife said her calamari starter was best she has had in a restaurant .. drinks a bit expensive .. they added on 12% tip ! Bit of cheek ! But overall good experience

We stopped to have lunch on a warm sunny September day and quite clearly, others had the same idea because it was busy. The tables are close together. Not much Covid precautions put in place here which didn’t make us feel entirely safe but fingers crossed we dodged the virus! The food was really tasty. I had the butterfly chicken with mushroom sauce and crushed potatoes and my husband had the steak frites with a side of tomato salad. Our meals we’re perfect! Will definitely order both again.

Friends suggested eating at Cote in Canterbury to make use of the £10 a head off. My wife also had an e-mail giving each person a welcome drink, so it seemed a good deal. Cote is I guess o.k. We use it mostly to meet other friends of my wife for lunch. The staff are slick and prompt and always at hand, but I struggle to actually enjoy whatever I choose to eat. This actual evening I tried their burger with or without cheese, I can't remember. That is how forgetful eating at Cote is for me. Food snob. But Cote is useful for the odd breakfast, useful for the odd lunch and useful for the odd evening meal. It is a fun brasserie---yes. But for serious dining you must look elsewhere. I notice someone wrote "to celebrate my partner's birthday". Well if I suggested Cote for my wife's birthday, I think that I would be eating alone. But for simply eating something, Cote is fine. And thanks for the free drinks.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here to celebrate my partner's birthday. Staying in Canterbury for 2 nights and dined here on night 1 after searching on trip advisor.COVID 19 precautions were taken seriously with staff wearing PPE and tables being socially distanced. Food was brought out quickly and was done to a very high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed 3 courses plus horderves and a glass of wine.Staff friendly and professional and I found the prices to be reasonable and a really good mid range restaurant. We will certainly be dining at Cote Brasserie again.

I had been to the Cote Brassiere for lunch previously and promised myself to return there for breakfast. I went with my husband and we both opted for the Eggs Benedict. Served my favourite way on a muffin, as usual I inhaled the dish and it was delicious. The eggs cooked to perfection, runny as I love themI found the staff friendly and helpful, especially when I discovered my jug of milk for the tea was off, as proved by it curdling in the hot tea cup. Apart from the rancid milk, the only other negative criticism was the small portion of sauce on the eggs. Seeing as how I'm trying to lose my 6Kg Covid belly I decided not to comment on that occasion.Did the tea put me off? You'd think so, but the food was scrummy, the staff professional and the environment a little bit special. As a result, I will be back.

Absolutely fantastic. George was fantastic FOH, very knowledgeable, welcoming and brilliantly dressed. Made us all laugh and feel very comfortable. Food came promptly and was delicious as always. We came slightly late and were the last table to leave and the staff didn’t mind at all, they were happy to accommodate us. It’s our favourite Côte restaurant and we always make excuses to eat here if we’re in the area. Highly recommend the pork belly (cooked to perfection, fantastic combination of flavours), crab mayonnaise (light with a great kick, very fresh), the goats cheese starter, forgotten what it’s called, but that was an all round favourite!Will definitely be back again and can’t thank the Côte team enough for looking after my family so well as per.

Another excellent experience at a Cote Brasserie restaurant, this time in Canterbury. The staff were very attentive, efficient, polite and cheery. The staff were all very COVID aware and fully adopted preventative measures. The food was up to it's usual very high standard. Well presented and delicious, with good portion sizes. A very pleasurable experience

At last they are open again!We had a lovely breakfast this morning, and thank goodness nothing has changed since lockdown.Service as always was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful or attentive.We must all support what was and is an excellent restaurant. They deserve their success!

We were pleased when Cote Brasserie re opened after the lockdown as we've always had a good meal here. The menu has changed 2 of my favourites - the fish stew & the steak tartare are no longer on the menu. So instead of fish stew I treated myself to the lobster which was fantastic, possibly the best whole lobster I've had, much better than any of the lobsters I've had in some restaurants in Whitstable.Buzzing atmosphere & the service was spot on.

First time back since lockdown, as always efficient staff and good food had a very enjoyable lunch, shame about the weather no outside tables but this is the UK!

Food was tasty, staff was very helpful and friendly. They make very nice espresso martini and i love the desert section!

The meal was very good, all 4 of us enjoyed our food very much. Service ok, restaurant was busy with the ‘eat out to help out’. They didn’t have several menu items left, and this was only 6 o’clock in the evening, but nothing any of us would have ordered. We left a tip for the waitress, but didn’t notice until I got home that a service charge had been added to the bill. I am happy to tip for good service, but I resent this being assumed. There was no option to remove it or otherwise draw attention to it on the card reader, nor was it mentioned that I could see anywhere else, so unless you check the bill and then dispute it at the time, it just appears as part of the bill. I found this annoying and sneaky. It’s a pity because the food is good and the staff were good enough to warrant a tip, and this issue made me not want to go back.

Went as it was on eat out to help out. Food and service were excellent. I would have been happy to pay full price. Can’t fault food.

Went to Cot’e tonight food and waitress and usual excellent. However our table was booked for 7:30pm and the main courses did not arrive until 08:55. Waiting and watching I noticed too many tables and too many customers hence the long wait.I understand the need to make money but I did not feel safe. I would suggest you reduce the maximum number of covers and take some tables out.

This was our last meal and was made very welcome by Iona and her staff. We were treated in an exceptional friendly manner and the staff completely understood there responsibilities and showed great care in our treatment. The meal arrived quickly and was presented beautifully. It tasted just as good as it looked. It was a great way to enter this unsafe world and we left them feeling happy.

WE had just spent a week in France and weren't really looking for a French meal. However, when we saw this place, we realised a French meal was just what we wanted. It turned out to be pretty authentic, too. Not what people call a "fancy" French restaurant, but the kind you can find in any French town without really looking: good, wholesome food, prepared by people who care about it.The pate was wonderful. The rest of the mreal a delight. We found ourselves reliving our meals in France.Oh, and the service was British cheery, rather than French aloof.

Although we had booked a table, it was clear to us that this seemed irrelevant as we waited to be seated in a queue and non bookers were given the first table free. Consequently we had to wait standing around in the dining room with several large shopping bags and no interaction with staff. Indeed, they seemed adept at avoiding eye contact. A shame because the food is usually good and we like the buzz of the place.

Ottima la carne stufata con verdure ed il polipo. Prezzi non esagerati. Peccato il tavolo vicino all'ingresso che subisce i numerosi colpi d'aria della porta più volte aperta in giornate di maltempo. We had a birthday celebration here with 13 of us and the service and food was fantastic. George the manager was so accommodating from the time we arrived to the very end. Staff all helpful and informative too. We all enjoyed our food and would highly recommend. The fish pie was slightly watery and bland however immediately staff changed them with no hassle and even took costs off the bill which we didn't expect. Can't recommend this restaurant enough for quality, atmosphere and staff. The best and will deffo be back.

カンタベリー大聖堂を訪れた後、遅いランチでしたがこちらでいただきました。偶然入ったお店でしたが、本当に美味しく幸せな気分になりました。ランチのセットも手ごろな値段で、デザートをつけても確か14ポンドくらいでした。ご飯も美味しかったのですがお勧めされたデザートが最高に美味しい！クリームキャラメルというのを注文したのですが、要は硬めのプリンです。硬さと言い、口に入れた時のまったりとした食感と言い文句の付け所が無い。近くならかなりの頻度でリピートしたいです。

We ate lunch there. Service was fine and the value as in other Cote Brasserie restaurants we have been to. In our experience you cannot go wrong with these. We ate off the fixed price menu, which is always good.

Visited restaurant day after Valentines was greeted and seated by the waitress. My first impression was this is a lovely restaurant and quiet well to do I was pleased with my partners choice. The menu came and as always we choose 2 different starters and 2 different mains and puddings as my partner is a chef and we just love to dine out and make the most of the menu seeing and trying tasting as much as possible. Partner had steak tartar sough dough bread. fantastic! I had crab-mayonnaise avocado sough dough bread we shared it.. Was ok tasting a bit like tuna-mayo on toast ! Main course roasted pork belly cooked perfectly crispy. I had the Ribeye steak ! Cooked perfectly. All the trimmings made it for me bringing it all together. Green beans peas a la flamand and roasted whole carrots honey and potatoes gratin. Really enjoyed it all so much! Pudding: We ordered frozen berries with hot white chocolate sauce and a chocolate fondant vanilla ice cream! Shared it !!! And made what was like a deconstructed Black Forest gateau ! Marvellous!! The menu was not over priced good value for money. Excellent service male and female. I would definitely love to eat hear again xx.

We booked a table for our anniversary having eaten here before. However, my food was awful and after returning my meal twice, we left the restaurant. I asked for a well done steak, as any pink puts me off eating.

Having been let down on a lunch reservation at a nearby restaurant we tried Cote Brasserie and we were not disappointed. The food was very enjoyable and we were happy with all dishes - we had three courses but it was the service that really made the day. The team were friendly and helpful but not at all pushy and having picked up that it was our sons birthday gave a lovely happy birthday plate for his dessert. Came away feeling glad to have been let down elsewhere and will return when next in town

Went with the mrs and was impressed. 3 courses for £12:95 and the food was amazing. We ordered sides as well as expected portions to be small for the price but didn’t really need any extra. Was plenty and top notch. Highly recommend and right in the middle of the centre to so all good.

We just happened walk in to Cote for lunch. The food far surprise us by the taste and quality. The steak is really good which I don’t expect such a town restaurant can do.

Having walked out of Carluccios for being ignored by the staff, we hastily walked over to Cote Brassiere for lunch.

Came here for a meal before seeing a show at The Marlow Theatre. Had Pork and Pistachio Torine to start and main was Stroganoff and side of creamed Spinach, absolutely delicious I would definitely come back. The staff were friendly and welcoming, service with a smile and they truly care that the food is alright for you. If you are checking reviews I say go for this place as a stop for good service and good food. Well worth the money. Oh and the Champagne is so beautiful.

Visited for a family meal excellent menu, brilliant wine list but my favourite item was the french cider. Service was first rate too. Very reasonably priced given the quality of the food. Will visit again next time we are in Canterbury.

It was Christmas Eve everywhere was packed including Cote Brasserie however they found us a v nice table by a window looking out over the shopers below. The lunch and service was first rate

My second trip here for breakfast because the first time was delicious and I thought it can’t happen a second time but it was just as good

Visited for an early dinner before attending a service at the Cathedral...... usually a reliable chain..... a family favourite....... out of five diners ...two peoples food sent back....... and when it came back was still wrong........ staff handled it well, still great service, they took the two meals off the bill and gave us a couple of puds ........ would rather of had the food right as two people were hungry and we did not have time to stay around ....... they later got pizza on the way home

When we arrived we did not know whether we wanted to eat at Cote Brasserie, but while we were outside the front door, one of the waiters (Calvin) rushed over to the door to be helpful- noticing that my wife was in a wheelchair. He brought us menus to look at, and then helped us into the restaurant and took the wheelchair to store it while we were eating. We were attracted to the early dining menu which provided some excellent choices at lower prices, and we ordered from their premier early menu. Our cauliflower soup and beetroot salad were delicious, and the salmon was really delicious. We also loved the creme caramel for dessert, and we had very nice selections from the wine menu. Calvin provided excellent service, the restaurant was quiet and conversation was easy. We really enjoyed our meal and the ambiance and the whole dining experience and hope we can return there again soon.

4 of us went for dinner and all had 3 courses and there were no complaints. We shared a good bottle of wine, had other drinks and the bill, including service and a tip came to less than £50 per head. The service was excellent and friendly and we highly recommend.

Called in for lunch on a miserable, wet day in Canterbury and I am glad that we did. We were welcomed warmly and quickly seated, although the restaurant was fairly busy. My wife is Gluten Free and our friendly waitress provided her with a separate menu. My wife had beef bourguignon followed by a chocolate pot. I had poulet 'Breton' and tarte au citron with creme fraiche and raspberries. All the food was well presented and very tasty and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend the Cote Brasserie in Canterbury.

Looking for an evening meal in Canterbury City centre, the Bretton fish stew attracted me. Something I've not tried before, but promising.

We booked a table for a Friday lunch time & I was so glad we did as the restaurant was packed & the people in front of us were told they’d be an hours wait for a table! Great news for Cotes.

Go early and get Quite a good deal. Any hot breakfast, any hot drink, toast and fresh OJ for just under a tenner. Including jam! And sauces! And water.

I’m a fan of the Cheltenham Cote, but having eaten twice in the last month at the Canterbury gaff I’m rapidly losing faith in them.

Just had a lovely family dinner, steak was excellent and service was fantastic. My husband mentioned it was my birthday and the waitress gave us complementary drinks to start and a happy birthday message on my desert very thoughtful and much appreciated, we had a lovely evening would definitely recommend and we'll be back!

The menu was a bit broader than Cafe Rouge next door. The food was good. The tables are quite close together, so when it got busy it got very noisy. Service was a little slow, particularly when our waitress went on her break.

Estuve en Canterbury durante una semana a partir del 23 de septiembre. Comí en Cote casi todos los días, nos encontramos con una camarera llamada Grace. Grace fue increíble y me ayudó con mi invitado que tenía problemas de comida muy exigente.

Mi familia y yo somos visitantes frecuentes de nuestra Cote local en Canterbury. Pero debo decir que mi visita aquí hoy fue muy decepcionante, nuestros alimentos tardaron mucho en llegar, algunos huevos escalfados estaban muy cocidos y algunos huevos escalfados llegaron muy fríos. Tuvimos que recordarle continuamente al personal sobre el artículo que había sido olvidado.

Here we are again at Canterbury Cote. An excellent meal in every way. We were well looked after as usual at Canterbury and made so very welcome. Looking forward to next year already. Thank you George, you are a star!

Tuvimos un problema con el servicio, uno de los lados no llegó hasta que terminamos nuestra comida, pero no dudaron en disculparnos y, con razón, fue eliminado de la factura. Si mi compañero hubiera estado escribiendo esto es miedo, aunque podría no ser tan generoso. Tuvimos una joven camarera dos veces y, aunque no observé esto (de ahí que mi puntaje no fuera el suyo), se fue diciendo que nunca volvería ya que ella estornudaba en su mano y luego seguía sirviendo. ¡No higiénico! ¡Quizás un poco de entrenamiento adicional en salud y seguridad no estaría mal!

Dette er en hyggelig, uhøjtidelig brasserie med et godt personale. Maden er god og stemningen rigtig god. Det kan anbefales.

We went as a table for three for lunch. Saturday October 5th. Sat upstairs. Waitress serving may have been new as she seemed confused about the service and kept asking the same question.

First class options- from several menus for lunch- all fairly priced. Restaurant was full but did not feel that busy- which is a very good sign. Will return soon.

Had the most amazing meal with the very attentive waiter Alfie! Couldn’t fault the meal or service, and would definitely recommend!

I like Cote and we use the chain reasonably regularly. But something is amiss at Cote Canterbury. Three of us ordered single course lunches. Olives, water and wine all appeared as they should. But after waiting an hour I asked what on earth had happened. Our lunches appeared about 10 minutes later and they were fine. I asked what had happened and didn't get an answer that made any sense. Management were duly apologetic but reading the TA reviews I realised that exactly the same thing had happened to someone else a fortnight before. That's not acceptable.

Visited this restaurant on the spur of the moment as where we had planned to go was closed.

I’ve eaten at lots of these and they’re all very good,I had the prawn gratinee and the lamb which were delicious and my girlfriend had the Breton chicken,good food and good value.

Having dropped our Car off for Servicing, and given a lift to the City, which was pouring with rain, we decided to get Breakfast. We had been to Cote before, so headed there. On entering the doorway, dripping wet, we were given a warm welcome, a choice of table, and asked if we would like Tea or Coffee. We soon got settled and our Tea arrived, and our order taken. We decided on the Formule breakfast, which soon arrived hot, very tasty, and with toast and butter on separate plates. Our whole experience was professional, friendly, and good value, thank you all! Will be back soon.

We were looking for a lighter meal possibility than most restaurants offered, and there were great lighter options here. Our food was excellent! If you go before 7, there are 2 and 3 course offerings for a remarkably low price. Service was attentive but not overpowering and we did not feel rushed at all.

I ate as a part of a large group and was very impressed with the organisation and efficiency of the company as well as the staff at the restaurant. The menu is varied and well-priced and the service was very good. I wasn't overly impressed with the chicken i had but this may have been food-envy as the steaks and duck breast others were eating were excellent.

This venue just ticks all the right boxes from it's position in Canterbury through to the Service and the Food and drink.

Bringing daughter back to Uni so an overnight stay in Canterbury. Decided to eat here for the first time. Lovely food - really tasty! Service was good - friendly staff. Nice to sit outside it was a fine evening - they put the heaters on which was even better! Would recommend and would visit again!

Lovely warm day as we arrived in Canterbury. Very inviting outdoor patio. Service was very good . We were shown to a table straight away. Order taken for coffee taken straight away. We were left to browse menu. waitress arrived back to take our orders about 10 minutes later. We both enjoyed our meals very much.

The cuisine is good with a large choice of dishes for a very reasonable price. However, the service was far too long, as we spent more than one hour and a half for lunch and had to ask the waitress to get our desserts. This is really a shame.

Stopped by for a refreshing drink of OJ but we weren't hungry for lunch yet. Lovely central location with plenty going on around it. Food did look nice but was pretty expensive. Lovely service but please don't be asking for a 12.5% gratuity - I will choose if I want to tip thank you (you can choose not to pay this by the way).

Not my first visit, but the first on a Saturday so my first sampling of the weekend menu. Just had a main: the roasted-half chicken, which was lovely and moist and doused in a generous serving of rich, herby (lots of rosemary) gravy. The green beans were perfectly cooked (ie NOT squeaky, which pleased me greatly) and the softest, creamiest Dauphinoise potatoes I've eaten for a long time. I was in total comfort food heaven. My eating companion had the steak and chips and couldn't fault it. Service was quick, polite and friendly as always - and it was extremely good value for money as ever.

I never tire of this chain. This one is in a great location right in the centre of Canterbury's retail area. The food is proper French Bistro food and good quality. It's all cooked fresh and the staff are professional. It may not be a cheap and cheerful lunch but it's excellent value and a fairly classy place to have dinner in the evening without breaking the bank.

We had a relatively late dinner here on a Sunday but the service was good and the food very delicious. We shared a goat cheese salad with roasted vegetables, the salmon dinner and the breast of duck dinner. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. We had a bottle of sparkling Cremant which went very well with the food. The prices are reasonable.

We've been to Cote twice - once for dinner and once for Easter brunch. Both times the food and service were incredible. The first time we sat inside, but we highly recommend sitting in the outside courtyard if the weather is nice. We had such a lovely time on Easter eating outside (and the brunch is fantastic!). The food is great, the location is perfect (on the High Street), and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend Cote to anyone in the area. (FYI for anyone who has difficulty with stairs - the restrooms are on the third floor of the building).

Met as a group of six for dinner, there was a mix up about the time of the reservation but this did get sorted. Good range of food, promptly served, nice atmosphere

I would very much like to share our experience in respect of a recent lunch-time experience at the Cote Brassierie Restauraunt in Canterbury, Kent.

Always good food and service and a complete breakfast with coffee and juice for a tenner. Nice mix of locals, tourists, families, couples and lone travellers.

I did not like the way the food is served and the service itself. I ordered poached eggs that are normally served on a large square toast, here it is served on small round buns and are like small hamburgers, you will be all messy after them. Waiter waited for me to put food in my mouth and then jumped to me to ask how it was. I know it is their favorite trick but it is really annoying, I hope they have same when they go somewhere. In the end, they automatically add 12,5 % "optional" gratuity without asking you. I did not have the best experience in my life.

Good service, clean and good coffee. We needed to have a table outside with eight seats which was quickly arranged for us.

I visited this restaurant with a friend on the 3rd August and ordered the Steak Frites (lunchtime special). When it arrived it appeared to be properly cooked but was barely warm and I sent it back. I could not believe that the replacement, served about ten minutes later, was even worse, being so lacking in heat that the knob off garlic butter on top was refusing to melt. To serve an almost cold steak is bad enough but to repeat the sin with the replacement is unforgivable. The problem may be that the kitchen is too remote from the ground floor, where we were, but a cover over the food in transit would help to maintain the temperature. It was more than likely, however, that there was a delay between the steaks being cooked and their collection by serving staff. In mitigation, the manager waived the bill but our lunchtime experience was thoroughly spoiled by incompetence.

Had lunch at Cote and it was delicious, a lovely french influenced meal, there were three of us and we were all impressed by the food. And then the bill came. Everything was listed and clearly totaled - including the 'voluntary' 12.5% tip? It was accompanied by by a by a statement in large bold print that all tips went to the staff. Now the service was great and I was happy to leave a tip but that's it, I leave it, the restaurant shouldn't take it and dare me to object, supposing the service hadn't been good? This is passive aggressive theft and it spoiled what was an otherwise excellent afternoon.

Lovely lunch - menu with lots of french and italian dishes of very high quality - also nice wine list. Prices are low due to the level of gastronomy

Io e mio marito abbiamo cenato a Cote Brasserie domenica sera. Scelta quasi obbligata visto che la domenica molti ristoranti sono chiusi, siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, il cibo è molto buono e i prezzi adeguati. Per due piatti e una specie di focaccia abbiamo speso 37 sterline. Si può mangiare sia all'interno che all'esterno (il locale si trova nell'isola pefonale)Servizio cortese. Consigliato

Went here when weather was good so sat outside. They have a lovely outside area that is also heated in winter. Food was good with great flavours. Service was excellent.

A table was booked for 1pm for my mother and her husband, celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary, my sister and myself. We were greeted and asked to be seated outside, and after a few minutes our request was granted. I chose from the Prestige menu: tomates Breton, grilled salmon and crepe caramel. Every course was delicious. The service was friendly, efficient and timed to perfection. I would have given 5 stars but for the slightly uncomfortable and rather low chairs, otherwise faultless. Thank you to the staff and the chefs - a wonderful time was had by us all!

Service not up to the usual standard I have receive. The mussels here are the best and other options have always been very good but this time I tried the July Special "Lobster" and received a very watery ( so assume frozen) full Lobster that contained less than three king prawns of meat!

We were a little reticent to dine at a french restaurant in the English countryside, but Cote Brasserie was terrific. Overlooking one of the city squares, we enjoyed a great view, service and fantastic food. The highlights included the heirloom tomato salad and the lamb rump (don't be put off by the name, it was fabulous). They had both prixe fix and a la carte menu. Service was pleasant and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
