Had brunch with a group of friends. Food and service were first class.

Very good went for partners birthday had a great time.

Had a very nice lunch, I had a gluten free option and they even remember to offer me the gf menu for dessert. All very nice and relaxed.

Don't be fooled by the two courses deal. They add a 10% service charge on your bill so it's not actually that much of a deal. They were playing disco music which seemed inappropriate. The food was okay but not the French ambience I was hoping for.

Service is good, particularly the lovely lady with glasses who I assumed was the manager. Food is good (apart from the Cote burger which I thought was quite bland), and it’s a very nice place to sit and have lunch. I do think there is a bit of a value for money issue as some of the portioning is very tight compared to what you have to pay. Over 5 pounds for a small side serving of creamed spinach, for example. We still did have a good time and enjoyed our desserts too, and despite a kerfuffle with our ordering we still left happy as the manager rectified things by generously writing off some of our bill. I also appreciated them acknowledging my Dad’s birthday by lighting a candle and coming over to give best wishes. If you don’t mind the cost and want good service and a classy lunch, this is the place.

Came in for lunch yesterday and was served by Ed. What a great guy. Very knowledgeable with wines. I could't decide which white wine I wanted so he brought two out for me to taste. Good job he did otherwise I would have ordered the wrong one. What a lovely social, polite young man he is. Credit to your restaurant.

Portions smaller tham previous visits,especislly only a spoonful of garnish with minute steak BUT choc mousse ad delic as ever!

Good staff and service, let down by very ordinary food. £12 for a scallops starter is fine, but not when they are less than a cm thick and the size of 50p pieces. The fish parmentier used to be a great "posh fish pie" but ours included cubes of fish...certainly suggesting mass production using reformed fish. Not a good look for sure. Disappointing overall but the pleasant and helpful staff made it better.

Friendly staff and tasty food. It was quiet when we went but the start gave their recommendations. Everything tastes really nice and had a good portion size.

I dropped in to Cōte for breakfast. Eggs Benedict was very slightly undercooked but not at all an issue. The food presentation was excellent. Earl Grey tea served with milk (American habit) rather than lemon (British), but this was quickly addressed by the table staff bringing me a small plate of sliced lemon. Customer Service was excellent. I'd be very happy to have breakfast here again, but would ask for lemon rather than milk as the majority of guests probably drink Earl Grey the American way. Edit I have made a second visit to Cōte in Tunbridge Wells, on this occasion for lunch. I chose the set menu and wasn't disappointed. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. The starter was very enjoyable, although the crape was a little on the dry side. The customer service was excellent. I think the only improvement would be to replace the circular pattern floor tiles which looked tired and worn. The floor tiles looked a bit grubby but I think that was due to wear, and would look the same no matter how many times they are cleaned. I definitely will be eating at Cōte Tunbridge Wells again .

We love Cotes and been there on several occasions and always had a very good experience. Our recent visit was on 25th of August. We went out for breakfast with the whole family. As always the food was good and service was spot on. However, at the end, when we were ready to pay, the waiter (with hoop earrings and who actually was not looking after us) entered 10% tip on the terminal without asking us permission. Both my husband and I were taken aback and felt very uncomfortable. We always leave tips but the way this young man dealt with it, in my opinion was unacceptable. To be honest, I am very tempted not to leave a tip at all next time for this reason. Be alert when you are making payments!

Went to Cote for lunch. Fairly busy but there were still tables available if you hadn't booked. Staff are always attentive and aware. I had the Tuna Nicoise. The tuna was perfectly cooked pink - really tasty. Salad dressing just the right amount with the salad being coated but not drenched. Very nice meal.

We celebrated our anniversary at Côte and received first class service and the warmest possible welcome. The food was fabulous as were the staff. Definitely recommended.

Have been here for many time in UK, but it is still my favourite restaurant in UK! Staff are very nice and service is up to high standard. They also know my birthday and sing a bday song to me with a free dessert! Thank you all the staff in this restaurant !

Average-ish again. Shame because Lewes Cote in a different league to Tunbridge Wells Cote. This time one server great, the other brusque. Food ok, but with the same ingredients manages to be poorer than the same name restaurant in a neighbouring town.

Cotes are always of a high standard and this TW's one is no different. Great food and great service. Lots of space, inside and out.

Dinner with 3 friends..one of whom had complex dietary requirements. The waiter fetched the manager to take the order. It all came exactly as requested...and all with good humour! Don't know about the chef though! 🤣

Another delicious lunch at Cote. This has become our must-go-to restaurant when in Tunbridge Wells. Our server yesterday was Lucy. She is a credit to the restaurant.

Friendly and happy staff. Good food. Safe choice. Recommended. For me, to be worthy of 4 or 5 stars the steaks need to be of higher meat quality. Something on par with what one would be served at Mr Porter at the W Amsterdam for example. Also ambience of the restaurant can be improved to make it more chic and "the-place-to-be".

Food & Service always excellent - A bit lacking with vegetarian options but the burger is always solid.

Terrible service, main meals came all at different times. Part of order missing. Manager was the rudest person. Will absolutely not be returning. Shame as the waitress was so lovely. Didn't get her name sadly. Thank you for your reply, I did contact your customer services, but they were unable to follow up as I could not find my receipt. It was more trouble than it's worth. I was not looking just for any compensation. I just don't want anyone else to experience this. Being offered a take away box and eating your main course in separate servings is not what we expected. Would have received better service from a well know fast food restaurant.

Food tasted okay until finding a big bit of plastic food packaging in one meal. Waitress was rude and seemed to just ignore the situation. The plate was refunded by the manager after suggesting my children put plastic in the food. Only positive was the consideration given to one of the group's allergens. All 3 of us who had the tartiflette had bad stomachs - do not recommend. Very poor experience and overall customer service.

We were exceptionally late today for our booking and yet they still managed to accommodate us. Thank you all for your patience and hospitality.

Food tasty and wait staff generally friendly, but service very slow, and hard to get staffs attention to order/pay. Presentation of food was poor, garnish very wilted, a little dissapointing given the price.

Nice atmosphere with good food. The main menu appeared slightly overpriced, so we opted for the steak soirée for two. Both steaks were good (Sirloin & Ribeye) and included a bottle of house wine for the table, which was also nice.

The food was amazing, it's a shame I can't say the same for the service. Chaotic is about right!! Waited ages just for a bottle of wine then when we ordered half a carafe (and paid upfront) they had forgotten!! Young staff and not enough of them when it's busy. Also the wine is ridiculously expensive!

Decided to have lunch out over the weekend and as a Coeliac Cote has a great offering, something which a lot of other restaurants should take note of. After all the emails we were looking forward to the new spring menu, but only provided with normal menu. For £75 including 2 glasses of wine I have to say that i was disappointed, portions have shrunk, prices are definitely up, quality is so so, Cote used to be my go to for GF, but of late and after new ownership, Cote in my view is not what it was, real shame as enjoy eating out, might have to find a new Gluten Free restaurant. Wont be rushing back.

Lucy our waitress was simply radiant and beautiful ! Her smile, cheerfulness made it a delight to be served !! A beautiful energy and knowledge of the menu and gin range was excellent ✨

The food could have been nice but sadly the restaurant was very understaffed meaning the service was very slow and when our food did arrive it had clearly been left on a heat lamp to dry out. The staff are lovely but over worked I would avoid this place

From the moment you enter the Côte Restaurant, you will be impressed by the spacious interior, with its cosy yet elegant atmosphere. The extensive menu offers a delightful array of choices, from classic Full English breakfast to authentic French delicacies. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavour and made with fresh ingredients. The French toasts with berries were fantastic! Although portions could be a tad bigger, the taste was exceptional. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff made the visit even more enjoyable. Despite being part of a chain, the food quality here is top-notch. While enjoying your meal, you will notice the beautiful and charming garden outside, perfect for enjoying a sunny morning or a leisurely brunch. Overall, this brasserie exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be returning to try more. Highly recommend this spot for a delightful dining experience!

Went for a meal before our theatre show at the asembly hall, and we all enjoyed it the food was amazing, service was excellent especially our host Dani and our waitress Julia very thoughtful and as we were celebrating my dad's birthday they done a birthday plate and Brought it out and sang happy birthday to him.

Good, tasty food as expected from a successful chain. Won't blow you away, but definitely nice enough to return to as a tried and tested restaurant. Been to Côte restaurants across the country and they're always a safe bet for a nice dinner out. For a Monday it was very busy, which was odd, but the restaurant was exceptionally noisy.

First time here, had a wonderful lunch with very attentive service we will be back!

It's good value for money. There is a very good atmosphere. Good for families. Staff are very nice and helpful. Food is fine, decently cooked. An English version of a French bistro.

I went out for a day with my Mom & it was pouring it down. We stumbled across the Cote restaurant & went in. We only had a little snack as we had previously ate, but the food was so delicious- definitely glad we came across it. The calamari was divine & my Mom said ‘it was the best she has tried in England’, it wasn’t oily & the seasoning topped it off. My Mom loved her onion soup so much, (would definitely recommend both dishes). Our waitress, Maddie, was so sweet & welcoming & left us with a smile to our day!

I am French and i have been several times to Cote. The food is great from the beginning to the end, far more superior than any other restaurants in TW. The staff is very professional. They charge a lot of tip but they all deserve it. ...Please, please keep the Chef!

Absolutely great lunch in Cote during a very busy service, Julia our server was a real asset to Cote. Fun, knowledgeable and great with the two kids we had with us. Give a big gold star to Julia ⭐ She suggested the vegetarian stew dish and it was incredible.

We went to Tunbridgewells on Christmas eve motning for quick shopping and stop at Cote for breakfast. The food was good and delicious. Portion, taste and price are perfect. I love the sausages and roast potatoes. Place are packed with guests. Its very convenient for us to walk from carpark then to town centre for shopping.

Dine with you guys this evening, I just wanted to say that the staff were truly amazing! I've seen that you were super busy but the service was not distrupted what so ever! We sat having our meal in ore of how organised the evening was! We had the duck a la orange and the confit pork belly - was the most delightful taste! Was my partners birthday tonight and we didn't mention on arrival but had a lovely desert and song which was totally not expected! So thank you so much for that.. its so lovely to find a restaurant that gives such a personable experience - merry christmas to all of you at cote and I look forward to many more celebrations with you in the new year! Good atmosphere, helpful staff and good meal choices. The fixed price 2 or 3 course menu is excellent but you have to ask for it. Good price meals too.

Thought the food was ok, but nothing stand out. A mixed bag from people in my party, with some enjoying their dish, some less so. Plenty of space in the restaurant and friendly service.

Nice French onion soup..we were all veggies ...main course was a bit dry...mushroom bourginion.. I think they were out of quiche from memory. I think wetherspoons has a better veggie menu for the price

I only have had the chance to try this restaurant recently, even though it has been in town for a while now. I met with a friend and we both had a lovely French breakfast, with fresh orange juice and a coffee on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, we were able to speak and chat without having to shout even though the place was busy. We will definitely be back.

Good service, good food . Drinks a little pricey if you're not a wine drinker. My only disappointment was the potato dauphinoise , more cooked in milk than cream . That said, my steak was very good and no doubt I'll be visiting again.

Rocked up without a booking was told it would be difficult as within the next 20 mins they were fully booked yeah right! Anywho found us a table for two and yes you guessed it within 20mins were mobbed and turning those that hadn't booked away So thank you to the manager and staff you were superb the food was superb and you are a well drilled team. Will highly recommend but next time will defo book 👏👏👏👏

We dine in various Cote restaurants throughout London and Kent and have always enjoyed Cotes' delicious menu and good service. However, i have to say this was a huge letdown. Firstly, due to a language problem, we got chunky chips instead of what 4 of us thought the waitress said jacket potato! 3 of us had chicken in mushroom sauce that was very dry, tough, and overcooked, Starters and mains were lukewarm. Overall, it was not a satisfactory experience at all. Will be a while until we return to Cote, and if we do, definitely not this branch!

Popped in for a lone breakfast. Outstanding and attentive customer service by the lady with the blonde hair. My second experience of their outstanding customer service and I look forward to coming again.

I had breakfast with a new neighbor here,the waiter and waitress there are very friendly. The food is fair but the outdoor environment is excellent.

They have some really good vegan options - great vegan burger and a fantastic chocolatey vegan dessert! I'm told the steak is good as well. Service was great especially considering they were busy.

It was fabulous with the exception of a very rude waiter. Not what you want at anytime but especially on Father’s Day. He did not serve us again as we had to complain & sadly he did not give us a personal apology but we were very well looked after by 2 senior staff afterwards. I certainly would not like him to serve us again.
