I've been eating here from time to time for some years now, and both the food and the service are excellent. There is always a good selection on the menu and the pricing is fair.

Food was amazing, well cooked steak, melt in the mouth. Service was brilliant, attentive, and friendly

Saxophone Brunch was a great success !

Food wasn't as good as last time, but the service and ambience was excellent. Signature Soup dish, French Onion soup was a bit too runny. Rest of my meal was excellent.

Enjoyed a few coffees. Looks like a great place to meet. Was plenty of space when I visited. Local parking is available.

Very attentive staff ,Steven was very friendly. This is top Cotes in our area.

Limited table services here as staffs don’t walk about as much and mind tables to take away the unnecessaries. No one asked if the food was alright, we thought it too salty. Good first bite because the flavour’s really rich, but requires a lot of water to follow up.

Nice light lunch and great set menu. Never been disappointed with Cote.

Came here for breakfast. Service was really slow and we had to chase some things we ordered. The food was delicious but portions felt quite small. We ordered 2 eggs royal and 1 eggs Benedict and there was only a small portion of hollandaise sauce. We had to ask for more but was still only given a tablespoon. It wasn’t enough to cover it. We’ve been here before and this time breakfast wasn’t like the many other times we have come for breakfast. The eggs were over cooked. Just disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic service and ideal surroundings. We normally use Canterbury, but this restaurant was so much better. The staff could not be more helpful and attentive. It made our evening very special. Thank you.

Very quiet, but it was a Sunday night. The service was good until the end of the main course, which was not cleared quickly - even though we were the last ones there. Food was spectacular.

We visited Côte Sevenoaks last Friday, early evening and had a great experience. Food was delicious and the service by Taya was excellent. We will absolutely visit again soon.

The food was exceptional, and the staff were lovely. We even got a free drink as our requested bottle of wine was not cold in the fridge, but fetched from the cellar.

We had an enjoyable tasty breakfast with good hot coffee and service.

Fantastic evening. We made a small request for our arrival and we felt very well cared for. Food was delicious and staff were friendly, funny and very accommodating. Great establishment and will certainly be back. Thank you to all at the Sevenoaks branch.

Service was atrocious. The guy in the front desk wasn’t particularly friendly, couldn’t even raise a smile. After being shown to our seat we waited about 10 minutes and no one came to ask what we wanted to drink. I had to call a waitress over to ask for a drink which seemed to take forever considering it was just 2 coffee’s, at this point there were very few tables occupied. Food wasn’t great either. My husband had the Cote breakfast which just wasn’t particularly appetising. My scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was ok. We asked for another coffee which took forever and again I had to ask them to find out where it was. She nonchalantly apologised for the wait. It just wasn’t very warm and inviting, the staff could barely look you in the eye all very cold except one young girl who was polite and smiled. They automatically put the service charge on the bill, which we weren’t happy to pay and asked them to take it off. Needless to say we won’t be back, there are far nicer and friendlier places to eat, with better food, better value for money and better service. It’s a shame we had such a negative experience and had to pay in excess of £40 for it, we work hard all week and value our Sundays, it’s the day we like to make happy memories and relax, unfortunately this is one we’d rather forget!!

Enjoyed the mother's day platters. Great value for money. Busy but all the children were well behaved.

Of the four main dishes, three were good. My roasted lamb rump was disappointing. A quarter to a third of the meat was gristly and had to be left. It was also quite rare, which was OK except that I went with the recommendation of medium. I should have raised it at the time but didn't want to potentially spoil the meal, and probably having a delayed replacement dish.

Everything cooked perfectly. Had crab starters, baked camebert and shared the cote de beouf.

Great food, good atmosphere but service could be just bit more attentive. Had to wait 15 minutes after my arrival before I was offered to order a coffee.

Nice breakfast, good choice of menu. French Toast for me, Breakfast Cassoulet for my wife. Nice feel, good food, friendly staff. Well worth a visit

After being rejected from miller and Carter for being late to our reservation I found cote and honestly I’m glad because the difference between the staff there and the staff in cote is unreal the staff at cote were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, the choice of food was great, overall had a lovely time

Love Cotes. Always the one I go to for a nice evening out. Our server Danny was great! Especially since we were a talkative group of 6 hehe.

In spite of the French name I enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast here. Relaxed service so we didn't feel rushed.

Lot of hype on the Christmas special menu and we a team of 20+ colleagues went for team dinner. Most of the colleagues expressed their food was just okay ! Staff were trying their best but they are young and need to pay more attention to guests No space for parking as this on the main road closed by a junction in Esher.

Wanted a quiet meal on a Saturday, so came between lunch and dinner times. No loud music, gentle chatter from other tables, lovely food, promptly served and looked after by a Maitre D' who was perfect. Thank you.

Hi there, I am sadly writing you this email in regards to a complaint I will be making. Today (23.9.23) around 11am I have come with a friend to meet for breakfast, unfortunately we witnessed some racial comments from a member of your staff, this was a young boy, with brown hair with curls at the front, we were completely flabbergasted with what we witnessed. Your staff members said very loudly in font of other costumers…” this is not the Indian cuisine” and laughed with this college, as a man of Asian heritage came in and walked out again. And shortly after he came back in with his family your staff member, then laughed. I am really disappointed with this and I do not stand for racism. How can I take this further? My email has still not been answered…

Big spacious place, the service was nice and polite. They did had few things on the menu but they did offered a replacement… the food was ok…. They did not have virgen oil.. ordered to have it with the bread.

Dear cote team, I am writing to you as I am extremely disappointed with the service I received this morning. Firstly, your team were not welcoming and productive I had to ask many times to be served and for the bill. Although this is not the main reason I sent this email and I am extremely upset. One of your staff members was observed to make racial comments to a customer in front of other customers having there breakfast (23/9/23 11:00am). A man of Asian heritage came in to the restaurant and shortly left. aA soon as he left a member of your staff turned around to another staff memeber and said ‘this isn’t the Indian cuisine mate’ and laughed. I was really shocked by this and do not think racism should ever be present. The man then returned with his family to have breakfast unaware of the comment and the same member of staff laughed when they came in. I would like this to be taken further as it’s really put me off ever returning again and I wouldn’t like anyone else to experience this. The member of staff was a young boy probably around 18/19 years old with brown curly hair at the front.

We went for a meal to celebrate my partner getting a great new job. Was welcomed with a lovely glass of fizz and well looked after throughout. Defo would recommend and visit again!

--Edit-- I wrote this review before getting my bill. From the moment of asking for my bill it has so far been 20minutes and I'm sitting around waiting. Should I go to the cashier myself and staff the payment machine? Seems they're incredibly understaffed. My waiter was polite and even shared my sentiment on the matter. --Main Review-- Ordering the Côte Burger with a Brioche Bun; I expected much more from a french restaurant. Instead I got a bread bun that tasted stale as if it came off the soon-to-expire discount shelf at Tesco, and burger patty that was so well done it was dry with no flavour, not to mention the measly portion of skinny, bland frites that could have been from McDonald's. Total meal cost with the suggested glass of red wine: 28GBP. What I would have been happy paying for the entire meal: 15.99GBP Maximum. Without the drink? 8GBP. Maybe I'm spoiled with taste having just come from Ribeauville, but I also think this is just very, very poor. To top it all off, the waitress asked me how my food was doing whilst my mouth was full, so I made a jesture to speak to which she assumed I meant "fine" and replied with "great" and walked off with haste. I will not be coming back here nor reccomending it to anyone reading this review. Go to Zizzis, I know it's a different cuisine but at least there you will get what you pay for. Or ignore this review and get something else on the menu here. Maybe I just had bad luck. But this was very shoddy.

Had a great family meal mid afternoon last Sunday. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Manager very kindly extended the free fizz on offer for two people to our whole group. Our waiter was chatty and upbeat. Very relaxed meal. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks

Côte is always reliable and continues to be a great presence in the town. The team are always friendly and professional and welcoming. The food is good quality and consistent. Great for brunch, in particular, but lovely any time.

Excellent food and service. Spacious restaurant. Reasonably priced

AVOID. Run by students. Waiter let out a loud burp on his way away from our table. One member of staff finished her shift and carried her Costa coffee and chatted on the phone. Noisy and disruptive staff. Not professional. Bad vibes. Worst Cote I’ve ever been to. Table and tableware dirty. Also, they included a service charge which is fundamentally obnoxious.

Food is ok-ish service is ok. Nothing special, cant go really wrong here, its just another one in a chain.

Great location, good breakfast menu and very quick service. Unfortunately the person that took our order was a little abrupt. I asked for fried eggs to be done “medium”, which is a common term where I come from (no runny yolk) and his dismissive response was that a “telescope would be required to see how the yolk of an egg is cooked”. I got runny yolks, but the breakfast was excellent.

Service good, but the food portions have almost halved and food isn’t the same for Lunch and dinners as it use to be today just confirmed it. We love the breakfasts, so think we will park the dinners there for now. Husband left starving after a starter and main. We would rather pay more if it meant we were getting normal portion sizes

Good breakfast and great location in town centre. Good value for money. Recommend booking as they don't really do walk-ins on weekends.

Great place to go for a Saturday lunch with the family. The kids love it too because they give you crayons and lovely paper to colour in and draw on. Food is always delicious and the staff and atmosphere are great! One thing I'll say is that sometimes when we order a steak the charred bits are bitter so maybe clean the grill better so it's not bitter.

Excellent mothers day breakfast at Cote today. Despite being busy the staff were very attentive and food was excellent.

Best cote by far. Been visiting brnaches sporadically since launch and this is my favourite. The staff ate incredible and as a chain, offers great value for money

Disappointing breakfast. We asked for baked beans as a side order, only to be told “they were not ready”. There was no orange juice (?!?), the smoothie we ordered did not taste freshly made. We wanted crepes, but were told there was no banana for them. The toasts that came with the breakfast, in my opinion, looked thin and cheap, as if they just came out of a supermarket value packaged sliced bread. Smashed avocado on toast tasted bland, as if it came out of a pre-made and packaged product purchased a supermarket. Eggs Benedict were satisfactory, but nothing to brag about. I’ve had amazing food and service at various Cote locations (the Cobham Cote Brasserie was top notch in every aspect, Cote Brasserie Marylebone was also perfect). Sadly, Sevenoaks failed to live up to the chain’s standards.

Had a lovely lunch of beef cheeks bougonion which was delicious will be back.

Very disappointed with the food ,service was slow ,when it finally came out it was the wrong breakfast and stone cold .staff were too busy smoking at the side of the building.

Disappointing and unpleasant. Poor and sloppy service, chicken overcooked dry, MD’s level burgers, waiter brought one side plate for the party of five and forgot the rest. This particular Cote restaurant was exceptionally poor (we have regularly eaten out in the City, West End, our local one in Kent).

I had dinner this evening at Cote Brasserie, Sevenoaks with friends and we were served by Victor.

We are big lovers of cotes and have been visiting different branches for years. Usually Bluewater or Chislehurst. Today we tried this branch, Sevenoaks. I cannot believe how this differs in standard, service, cleanliness and all else from other branches we’ve been to. The cutlery was dirty, glasses watermarked, latte cold. The waiter who served us had food all over his hands from serving other tables which looked totally unappetising. I think if this branch had an inspection it would only be a good thing and help get the brand back up to what it should be as if this was the only cotes I ever came to I wouldn’t be visiting again, nor telling friends to, in fact I’d tell them to avoid. The toilets were also foul. Safe to say- we won’t be back to this branch.

Generally good but one dish needed to be returned as not fully cooked and side vegetables were barely luke warm but we didn't bother returning them. Otherwise good was tasty, and a good selection on the menu. Restaurant surprisingly much bigger than it looked from outside. The person who served us was friendly and efficient.

Food was lovely. Service was strange. I was basically told to hurry up with my order, ie. couldn’t just order drinks and decide on food later). We ordered second coffees and I was told it was bad for me. I think it was meant to be a joke but didn’t really make sense and the whole experience didn’t make me want to return any time soon.

Cote is a brilliant place for a relaxed but gastronomically excellent meal at a reasonable price. Their Prix Fixe menu is very good value for money and they also have a good selection of wines by the glass. They also have a good a la carte menu too. The vibe is friendly with well trained staff. The food is consistently good. No need to go to France for a French brasserie style meal, just go to Cote.

The place is pleasant, the staff friendly (our server really did a one-man show). The dishes are very good value for money. The fresh tuna was a little overcooked but the salad was excellent. Which gives you the culinary level...

Nice restaurant with more of a formal setting. Popped in for breakfast which was good as they have a lovely food menu as well as quite a diverse drinks menu.

Myself and five of our family enjoyed a most enjoyable Sunday morning breakfast here served by very friendly and efficient staff and we will certainly use this restaurant again.

It's as expected, slightly overpriced chain restaurant food - nothing worth mentioning. Staff was nice.

Brilliant chocolate+salted caramel tart (I could eat the full pie of that 🥺😍), good coffee, but above everything else, amazing service! I wish they were serving French toast at that hour because I’m sure it’d be amazing. Thank you for accommodating us right before the closing time. 🙏🏽

Very embarrassing. No indication that cash is not acceptable, we were chased by the waiter having paid cash, even he didn't know !! Never again.

Service was ok. Menu was sparse not much choice. Maybe evenings are different. No atmosphere. Big restaurant right in the town of Sevenoaks.

I’m normally not the type to complain but the service my friend and I received tonight was terrible. Our food was either super over or undercooked and we waited for service for over half an hour. Wouldn’t recommend

Authentic choices of French dishes BUT my dish was not as described on the menu - I ordered the Paillard salad (main): chicken breast, french beans, hazelnuts, endive, lettuce and croutons - however it came with spinach and red onion instead of French beans and lettuce! And no hazelnuts! When I asked about it, I was brought a small dish of ground nuts. The dessert menu was misleading - I ordered the 3 truffles to pair with a hot drink (and I chose mint tea) - they wanted to charge me separately for each - though they did correct that on the bill. I would try the restaurant again, or another branch of it, to see if the chef can give a customer what is advertised on the menu.

Visited this Cote twice so far this year and on both separate occasions the service speed has left us thinking ‘where’s our food?’ ☹️ Staff are very friendly and accommodating but perhaps we had two unlucky occasions where we were left too long.
