Lovely 3 course meal for two at Côte Manchester. Nice menu to choose from. The prix fixe menu is great value. The deserts were amazing.

Love this place, am a semi-regular visitor with friends. This was the last visit because it is closing it's doors on Sunday. I can understand the logistics behind the rise in the lease cost, however the staff are lovely and the manager made this place and they definitely deserve a big fat bonus! Food has always been excellent and we only ever have the house white because it is quality.

I have been coming here for many years, but my last choice of food was disappointing, the quiche wasn't very nice at all, couldn't even cut through the pastry. I'll stick to my normal choices in future

Great as always, but so sorry that your Manchester restaurant is closing. It is always great food, service and atmosphere. A real tribute to your team who run this restaurant.

Have been at the Cote Manchester restaurant a few times and can say it is a solid choice for dinner. My go to dish is the Ribeye steak. Steak is cooked well and tender, with good flavour. To point out that when you upgrade your steak for the Ribeye, you need to pay extra for garlic butter. Instead, if you don’t upgrade would be included in the price. Having said that, I enjoyed the times I stopped by to have dinner.

I had the Confit duck a l'orange. It truely was a treat, far better than I imagined.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with perfect mood lighting. The staff were attentive but not overbearing as another review said and the food was so lovely will definitely be visiting again in the near future. I had the sea bream and my partner has steak frites we’d recommend both! We shared the chicken liver parfait as a starter and it was a great portion size and was yummy

First visit to Côte Brasserie in Manchester and wouldn’t hesitate going back again. The food was lovely, excellent service and reasonably priced. Good central location close to shops and bars.

We've visited Cote a few times and the food has always been excellent and the staff are attentive without being overbearing.

We had 5 main dishes, 4 desserts (one for 2), 3 teas, 4 beers, 2 starters and the bill was pretty okay, slightly under 200 with the service included. The food was at a pretty decent level but here the company is a bit divided, some of the party loved it, and others would not found it as good as other similar places, expecting more from the spicing. The Fougasse was great according to everyone, soft, testeful, warm, fluffy - we loved it! The deserts we tried were all great! (the Christmas special for 2, the coffee one and spiced Crème Brule I will never recommend the steak tartare and find it the worst I have tried. This is a matter of personal preference, but I usually eat steak tartare and love it. About the atmosphere: We went at 16:00 and it was already crowded and noisy, one can hardly hear their friends and have to raise their voice, that leads to more noise. Going there I would recommend you to avoid the peak hours if you will like to enjoy your company. The staff helped us as at first they did not find the reservation and did not expect us, but they fixed the mistake without extra stress. I did nto expect that we have to fight for the staff's attention throughout the dinner. Our table was full of finished pots and glasses but we had to ask twice to clean up so we can have it comfier. There was one of the girls that was not our waiter and saved our experience, being super friendly and helpful. Overall I would like to return, but it is conditional.

Brilliant service. The place was packed but the service was still exceptional. Party of four and every one thought that the food was delicious. Highly recommend. The kindest staff.

It was my 1 year anniversary since being diagnosed with lung cancer. We couldnt have picked a better place to celebrate. Nico was excellent and very attentive.

Had a great night here. 6 of us ( 1 of us is a kid) enjoy our meals there, especially the apple tart for our dessert. We were already full after our mains, the apple tart made us forgot how full we were.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could… I went here for a work meal, they had limited vegetarian options. All of the main vegetarian dishes contained mushrooms which I don’t like. I decided to order the vegan burger, as it was the only veggie dish with no mushrooms. There are two burgers on the menu, one meat and one vegan. When my meal arrived, I started eating it and noticed that the burger was pink. I thought maybe it was beetroot or something to make it more realistic but I was worried so I asked my colleagues to try. When one colleague said he was 99% sure it was meat, my manager asked our waiter. She said she thought I asked for the meat burger (assuming she heard burger and not me saying the vegan part). She was apologetic but it doesn’t really matter. I said I wouldn’t eat, as the only thing I could do would be order a vegan burger and I don’t think I could have stomached it after eating a third of a meat burger. To give some context, I was raised vegetarian and I have never eaten meat in my life until this moment. This upset me a lot as it felt completely violating, went against my beliefs and I ate something that has never been in my diet that I find revolting. This is also a major concern because imagine if I had an allergy? I could have been severely allergic to something in the burger and they would have not known, serving me it by mistake because they didn’t pay attention to my order. As a result, I would not recommend this restaurant. They are careless with your order and if you are someone with dietary requirements they clearly cannot cater towards it or be sensitive to it. Considering there was only two burgers on the menu, I would think that you would double check to see if someone wants to eat beef or if they are veggie/vegan like me. Or have religious beliefs that mean they do not eat cow.

What an amazing visit for an anniversary, the food was amazing. We had a very slight issue with a potato dish but it was dealt with professionally and swiftly. The manager Cameron went above and beyond to make it a special occasion we will be returning without a doubt.

Went for our 25th wedding anniversary for lunch, superb food from start to finish. The staff really made us feel at home for this special occasion and even treated us to complimentary champagne. Look forward to going again in the New Year

Not eaten in evening before only lunch therefore restaurant very busy,was that the reason my duck was so overcooked ? I couldn't remove the duck flesh from the skin.Dauphinois potatoes were excellent .

Déception totale, à ne pas faire !!! Avant la réservation nous avions lu les commentaires qui nous semblaient bons mais la déception fut totale ! Le tiers de la carte n était pas disponible et ensuite nous avons dîné en deux services. Un plat de la commande a été oublié et servi 30 minutes après. Lamentable ! Les plats n’avaient pas de goût ni de saveur ! Le plat de moule était à moitié vide et les frites sont identiques a celles du McDo En bref je vous déconseille ce restaurant !

Some food options are hit and miss in terms of presentation, quantity and taste. Most options are great though. Always a great place to get food as a nice big restaurant with classy decor and usually a spare table. Staff always very lovely. Price is spot on.

We celebrated my son's birthday at the Cote Brasserie and everything was superb! Delicious food, a lovely atmosphere and fantastic staff. My son and daughter had the French onion soup, which was as good as any we've ever had in Paris. We also had the steak frites, Cote burger and the tomato tart fine, all were delicious and perfectly cooked. My son said it was the best burger he'd ever tasted. 10/10 would absolutely dine here again.

I love Cote in Central. MANCHESTER the only downside for me is that if you purport to follow the French ethos my little support dog would be welcome. Restricts the number of visits for me. Lived in Paris, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain and Italy to name a few....he's always been welcome. Check your 'French ethos!!!' But your staff are brilliant as us the food...xxxxx

Excellent customer service when one of our steaks was overcooked. Not only was the steak replaced but we were not charged for it and staff could not apologize enough. Other food was delicious

Ate here for brunch. Good menu choices from lighter to full. We had the champagne breakfast which is excellent value. Very good service. Nice surroundings and decor, it was fairly quiet so lacked a buzz but was still nice.

It was a great meal with great wine choice the fillet steak was so tender it nearly melted in your mouth the French onion soup was so tasty

This is an absolute treat! Instead of being in France due to industrial action, we sought to bring France to us and so glad we did. The food was high quality and in comfortable surroundings. Steak tartare as good as I have ever had (minus the egg yolk, because this in Britain!). A touch on the pricey side, but in this particular case, you do get what you pay for. Very good

We visited Cote Manchester for an early dinner last night. The fixed price menu was excellent value at £14.95 for 2 courses. We opted to pay the supplement of £3.50 for a sirloin rather than minute steak and still found this to be excellent value. We had a glass of Cremant each which was superb - I actually prefer it to champagne on the whole. The food was spot on. My Salade Rachel was crunchy, tasty and for once contained all the ingredients it said it would. My husband's soup was also tasty - probably on the small side for him but I don't think this is unusual for a fixed menu like this. The steaks were excellent - cooked to our specification and really tasty. We finished off with a chocolate mousse to share which was the only thing that was a little disappointing - could have had a deeper chocolate flavour given that it was described as a dark chocolate mousse. The service was friendly and attentive. My only gripe was that some areas could do with a bit of a clean - the restaurant is older now so needs even more work to keep it looking good. Overall though, a great experience for a good value for money pre-cinema dinner. Would definitely come back!

We had a rib eye steak plate for 2. It was exceptionally good, cooked just right to be juicy, with amazing taste of high quality beef, which was marinated in a special way. It's worth going there to celebrate something prominent, but not for every day as it's quite expensive. Note, a 10% service charge is included in your bill. But we didn't mind, as the food was really good.

Pre 7pm menu, good price. Had 2 courses from it, but a starter not from it. Cheese gougere. Lovely flavour, shared. Tabbouleh, blueberry clafoutis. Soup, sea bream. French cider. Main meals took a while to come out. Nice restaurant. Serving staff pleasant. Recommend.

FAKE FRENCH. Just one table outside, on smashed asphalt. Outside service is non-existent. Onion soup is substandard, the portion is tiny. CASHLESS - no sign anywhere. Avoid!

I ate the cooked breakfast, it was honestly one of the best I've ever eaten. Everything tasted really fresh and delicious and the presentation was great. Much bet than any overpriced breakfast at most nearby hotels.

lovely smart casual restaurant . Great for dates or if you're celebrating something. We ordered from the set menu (the one after 7pm. they have a set menu for before 7pm which is cheaper but I've heard the portion sizes are also smaller). we got 2 course: sea bass and belly pork for main and the almond financier and chocolate and salted caramel tart for dessert. All 4 were lovely. - Sea bass was prefectly cooked with a nice crispy skin. be careful of bones (i didnt come across any small ones but just a big one near the end). - belly pork was nicely cooked and came with a side of dauphinoise potatoes which were very creamy and went well with the belly pork. - Almond financier was very dense and almondy. It goes very well with the vanilla ice cream. - chocolate tart was sweet but not too sweet. I found it fine and it came with ice cream so it wasnt too sweet but my friend found it quite sweet.

Came for the best cream caramel. The place is so spacious and clean. The service was great. And the dessert is yummy as usual

Nice staff and lovely food. My husband and son both had steak and I had the pork belly and we all really enjoyed it. Even the fries were delicious.

Lovely food, presentable and taste just right. Unfortunatelly service is quite slow. I know its not "in and out" restaurant but waiting 1h26m for mains to come its abit too much. We came before work to celebrate aunties birthday ,looks like we wont make it on time to work if we want to wait for mains to come. No baby change avilable so it is not very toddler friendly but its ok not every place have to be i get that. Just something worth mention. Washing hands in toilet can cause some degree burns so avoid hot tap. Im sorry i have to mention those in negative way. I see staff working well, being very friendly and delightful. Once meals comes from kitchen they amazing. Just abit slow . Will need to leave restaurant to extend parking to be able to finish our dining experience. Im looking forward to dessert as they look lovely too ( update , it took too long to be able to order desserts , we really had to go). Not sure what beans they use but coffee is just yummy. ...im giving 2 star because i think 2h to finish starter and 1 main its too long for a dining in. I struggled to keep my child occupied and i was starving by the time main meal came. Also for a 9 months pregnant woman it was really hard and unconfortable for me to sit that long in one position also my guests waant very happy with wait time. We literally had to run to be able reach the car before traffic warden as there was no avilable spaces to park anywhere near by so all of that overshadowed tasty food and made experience not as good. Just too slow of a service.

I came here for my graduation and I had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, both starters and mains, and we kept ordering more of the bread cause it was so good! The drinks were also really good! And the desserts were also perfect! Our waiter was really really lovely, and he managed to interact even with my family, most of whom don’t speak English. After I told him I really liked the cocktail I ordered, he even got me another one for free as a graduation gift! We had an amazing night and this dinner really made my graduation day special, can’t wait to go back!!!

Have to be honest and don't know if it was a one-off, but really disappointed with the breakfasts we ordered. Took a long time to receive the food at a really quiet time. Plus, the price far exceeded a Wetherspoons breakfast. we had a few days later and to a far lower standard .

Went there last week with the Mrs. Had the beef bourguignon which was heaven. Onion Soup as a starter and some garlic bread. All was really good. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely go back 🤭❤️

The food we had was excellent in respect to quality. However, don't go here hungry, unless you want to fork out for 5 courses. Both the starters and the mains we had were tiny. When you pay for a meal, you want a meal, not a snack. For mains, my partner ordered seabass and didn't get a whole fish. I ordered tabouleh which was a miserly portion. Considering it was mostly couscous and a few pieces of butternut squash (admittedly delicious), their mark up must have been staggering. On top of this, I felt somewhat tricked into paying a service charge. The waitress had placed the itemised bill under a small menu card and presented me with the payment machine without telling me the charge was added, let alone giving me an option to decline. It was only on finding the hidden bill that I realised it had been added - I almost left another tip. This felt like some kind of practiced ruse as the bill was definitely tucked away and had to be searched for. I'm aware this review may make me sound a skinflint. That's not the case - I'm happy to pay generously for good food. I just don't like being fleeced.

Have dined here many times. The food is consistently good and the servers always friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable. Would recommend.

We went for dessert and I was showing my friend a clip on my phone (literally 10 sec snap) and as soon as I showed her, the waiter approached us and said people are complaining about us using the phone which was so rude and literally no one complained. Even the guys sitting next to us complained about the waiter and said that another table are using their phone, how come you didn’t say anything about them and only approached these girls? So disappointed 👎🏼

Such a crying shame.. We attended Friday evening for the two course deal and things started rather slow with 30 minutes between order and starter but the calamari and charcuterie were excellent. The table next to us had already complained about the waiting time and were treated like royalty whilst we were invisible by comparison. It's a bad look if you're acknowledging one person's complaint but not appreciating the same experience is being shared by all. The mains arrived, steak frites and a chicken with mushroom sauce. The steak was leather-esque in visual whilst being well done, and the chicken was cold and tough. When we queried this, one of the waiting team explained they couldn't cook the steak pink, though the menu said pink.. he seemed shocked when we told him this and still argued the complexity of cooking a slim steak pink as if it isn't a staple meal. They offered to send our order again but we asked the manager to leave instead, which they graciously accepted and apologised. Our only poor experience of Cote but well below standard.
