Nice place to sit for coffee or breakfast. Other than that the food is overpriced and under portioned, nothing special

Went for my sisters Birthday, had a lovely time, service was fantastic and the staff with the decorations, Jacob was a great with making sure there wasn't any issues.

We came with my disabled partner in a wheelchair. The staff accommodated her effortlessly and looked after us well all through the evening. The food was well made and presented. Service was attentive. Very impressed.

Some of the best coffees we have had and the food was 10/10. Service was very friendly and welcoming, we came in on a Tuesday morning just after they opened so it was quiet when we was there but was getting busy as we left. Very clean and well presented interior, we will certainly be back

Amazing as always. We visited on my birthday and they welcomed us with free champagne for us all. They informed us of being a chef down so wanted to warn us it may take a little longer but as always the food was beautiful and with only a small delay. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The best beef cheek I ever had.

My experience here was bad. The waiter spilled the coffee, and it fell on the floor and stained my white shoes first thing in the morning. She didn’t even come to clean the table or change it for us.

I been this bar today and the manager who called Donna,she was so rude I waited long time and we asked her for beers and she told me am not your waiters ,so the good gentleman served us . We moved chair for comfort and she rudely asked us don’t move your chair becouse of Liverpool city council low 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣which is ridiculous I’ll took pic of my chair how I moved it . But the ice cream was so nice and thanks for other staff .

The experience was amazing, Donna was such an amazing host, she helped us with selection of meals. I was only out for a coffee but had a great time enjoying the meal.

Perfect delicious breakfast and very helpful and accommodating on a busy Grand National Day. Breakfast menu deals that are bang on for the money. Personal family favourite restaurant that makes us feel like we are back in Paris.

Turned up with my husband and two young children (10 month old and 5yo) We asked for a table for drinks only and they made us sit outside (it’s March and wasn’t sunny). The manager turned to a male server and said “just drinks” which I thought was a bit rude. We sat there and not once were we handed a menu for drinks or acknowledged at least. It’s like we were invisible. I was watching the service for other tables and there was a lady who was repeatingly ignored when asking for the pudding menu. Then the menu was eventually handed to her with no apologies or anything. I am guessing she was the manager as she was an older lady dressed in all black but as she turned away she rolled her eyes which is so disrespectful. After witnessing this poor service we decided to just go elsewhere. Never again.

The food was mildly warm at best and the service very moody. The restaurant wasn’t busy but some how the service was slow and and a rare steak came out like a Wetherspoons. Very disappointing we will not be returning.

Food was good quality, got their full English and it was lovely. The waitress we had was rather rude, often dismissing our questions, rolling her eyes and just overall lack of warmth. The second she left our table, all of us stated how rude she was without any one of us realising we all thought the same. Took a very long time to order, waiting 20 mins! I myself am a waiter and I am aware of the stress and standards of the job that can happen but this is unacceptable! Still food was good. Went Saturday 1/3/25.

Terrible food and not as described

Stopped here for a late breakfast. Just felt like nothing special. Staff were welcoming at first, but after placing your order, they never checked on us once besides bringing our stuff to the table. We had to flag someone down for the bill. It was not busy at all.

A french restaurant with a lot of meals cooked like in France : duck, "Dauphinois potatoes", "poulet breton", steak/frites (cooked like in France), "Tartiflette", etc. and french wines. I'm french and I find it pretty nice. The sharing/starters seem a big expensive, but meals taste good. Desserts taste good too. I tasted several meals, and those which are really similar to french ones are : - Dauphinois potatoes - Crème brûlée (dessert - see photo) - Fish parmentier (see photo) The price of wines and meals are ok (I'm sharing of photos with prices) Service is nice. I'm really satisfied :-)

The waitress with a ponytail was terrible and rude, she lacked communication and appropriate service. The individual who took our order claimed that we should order more at a "restaurant," but then proceeded to not provide us with appropriate service. Furthermore, a dignified "restaurant's" waitress should check on their customer to see if they are ready to order, but we were left waiting for 15 minutes, we had to take the initiative to remind the waitress of her role. In the self-proclaimed "restaurant," we were not met with expectations that even a simple kebab shop could deliver. This aspect of the service from the waitress was very externally inconsistent as she claimed it was a "restaurant" where we should "order more," but she was unable to live up to the standards of a "restaurant." As such, the atmosphere was dull. It even started raining on us specifically at this "restaurant" on a day where the precipitation was 4% in Liverpool City Centre. The Crème brûlée did not deliver in taste, the addition of the pineapple does not meet the standard upon which Crème brûlée should be judged, it does not taste great. This is very discriminatory to French cuisine and the recipe should be reviewed. Rather, a much better option would be an authentic and standard Crème brûlée. Consequently, the greatest delivery of our experience at this Côte branch was the bill, which signified finality in our experience at the Côte "restaurant" in Liverpool, the icing on the cake was the rain stopping as soon as we left the "restaurant." The above has been considered against the standard of a particular type of cuisine which is French cuisine, and it has been rejected as a decent French restaurant branch. Note: This only applies to the Côte Liverpool branch.

Good service, although the main meal took some time to arrive. Most meals were great . My burger was reminiscent of a Little Chef.

Service was amazing, had a minor issue with our food however the manager and all the staff were more than happy to help and to make up for it.would definitely come back. Everyone is so friendly in there was some great service. Spent 3 nights in Liverpool been exploring many restaurants, so far this one had the best service.

I recently visited Côte restaurant, and I have to say, the experience was terrible. I ordered the crème brûlée, and it was burnt, tasted frozen, and was bizarrely mixed with pineapple, which just didn’t work at all. To make matters worse, the waitress was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When we tried to order just desserts, she pressured us into buying drinks. After we declined, she sighed at us and walked away, which felt very unprofessional. The sample they gave us was tiny, and honestly, that was probably a blessing in disguise because it tasted awful. The prices felt like a scam for the quality of food we received. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Even if you were starving and this was the only place to eat, it would be better to skip. Lucky to even be given 1 star, there was no options to give 0 stars otherwise this is what this would get.

Amazing place, lovely service, amazing food

On a bitterly cold early morning after an even earlier flight, we found somewhere extremely nice for a gorgeous breakfast with wonderful coffee and lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner the next evening. Equally enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal. The prices below are for the evening meal. BTW, for both breakfast and dinner, the bill included a 10% service charge which was less than I would have tipped considering the food, atmosphere and service. Lovely spot. Highly recommend.

Food was incredible and service was relatively quick for a Saturday evening. We had the cote de beuf and it was outstanding, well worth the money. Lovely ambience for date night too

Food Ordered the avo toast. Should be on toast. Was given 2 slices of bread instead of toast. Service & atmosphere The manager and staff running round. Being nice to those she wants and not to others. Restaurant is empty yet asking for the table back in 1 hour. Walked past the restaurant 1 hour later and still empty. Weird Very slow service

Cote brasserie is consistently good and this was no exception. Good service, nice food, although I would say becoming a little pricey. Will return

I love eaten at Cote Liverpool, a nice sample of French cuisine. There are few young waiters who are probably under training. Unfortunately, one of them served our table and was not very inspiring ... did spoil a bit. Otherwise, the waiters are super professional.

The french toast is amazing! The hot chocolate is just the right temperature when you get it. It is delicious. I love it here!

We have visited several branches of Côte before, but this is the first time we’ve experienced such extremely poor service.

I visited Cote today with my sisters, expecting a pleasant experience as I have had at other Cote locations in different cities. However, this visit was unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, the service was terrible. When I asked for the set menu, the server was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. We come to restaurants like Cote to spend our money and enjoy good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. What we experienced today was the opposite. The lack of basic courtesy and respect was shocking. The service was so bad that we didn’t even place an order and left the restaurant. I urge the management to address this issue immediately.

We have visited a number of Cote restaurants across England. We always enjoy the food and the service is impeccable across all locations. Unfortunately this Cote branch performed well below par. Food came late and was dry. Our table was not cleaned for at least 20’ after we finished the starters. When mentioned to management, the excuse was that it was a busy period. Main course took at least 45’ to arrive. Management was polite but they need to get their house in order.

Good food, friendly staff. Just a bit noisy but it was Saturday night. The soufle was excellent.

Had the French breakfast here and it was delicious. The coffee (cappuccino) was also very tasty. I will be back to try out the French onion soup for lunch and the roast dinner one Sunday

We have eaten at Cote before and had great experiences and found a Cote in Liverpool 1 - 2 rib eye steaks (£27 each) 2 sauces and 2 sides and they throw in a bottle of (decent) wine - offer is on Monday to Wednesday from 5pm? BINGO. The steak was excellent as was the wine. There was no candle on our table so i asked the waiter for one and told them candle needed as celebrating a birthday and they then brought us 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco and popped a candle hubby's dessert later on, Paris-brest on the menu which is his favourite and I did have a spoon and it was delicious - carbohydrate heaven. They do a cheese option which I would have had but the steak was enormous and I was full to be honest. The staff were all very friendly and extremely efficient. Lovely romantic atmosphere too. Highly recommended.

A pleasant place to serve a meal. A warm environment with diffused light, quiet. The food is delicious, it takes a little longer to arrive, we waited around 40 minutes. The delicious dessert. The macarons are quite good, I gave 4 stars only for the macarons and because I waited too long.

Me and my family have fancied trying côte for a while and on a recent visit to Liverpool was a great opportunity and glad we did From start to finish it was an enjoyable experience, Donna and all the team were hard working , attentive and took time to talk , interact while presenting well prepared food that was delicious I got the Mushroom Cassoulet ,A slow-cooked haricot bean stew topped with spicy glazed Fable mushrooms, served with garlic sourdough croûtes that was perfect portion and value for money as the other dishes as my parents loved the fish stew (recommended) and beef We had Complimentary drinks on an offer plus a surprise gift of free champagne to celebrate my mums birthday that was a lovely touch and appreciated A great spot to dine in the centre , great before / after shopping for something to eat and something for everyone to enjoy

Here we go 🔥🙌 So I have been attending this restaurant weekly for nearly 2 months now - please let that highlight to you the value of this particular review 🧐😉🙂 Over my on going patronage, I have enjoyed some very attentive service here and this is a really big thing for me - when I walk in, the members of the team who I see most often know my table (when it is available of course), my set drink, the time I like my set drink delivered and most importantly, the set time that I like to make my food order… Honestly this is like clock work now (I had to tell them for the first couple of weeks of course, but it caught on really fast after that and now it is just effortless and fun) and as a guest I just think that this is one of the most amazing experiences you can have at a restaurant - knowing that your specific requirements are heard, loved and taken care of with the addition of good vibes between us in the process… I absolutely love this restaurant and the experience I have here every week, it’s only growing and getting better - it’s something I genuinely look forward to every week and the team as a whole are just wonderful! Awful. Used to be okay. Don't bother now. 35 mns wait for very little. Bill halved but that's not the point. I would rather pay than leave hungry. Never again 😒

Visited this week for Breakfast, staff were so lovely and as with all Cote Restaurants very comfortable. Disappointed with very small streaky bacon slices (2.5cm x 12cm) why not serve good rashers of back bacon as we expect from Cote, and no Breakfast Marmalade available! - Little things but so important.

Nice meal, slow service but all was fine. Four of us were dining this evening. We were seated promptly but waited nearly 10 minutes to order. We then ordered food and drinks at the same time. Food was good. Three of us had sirloin steaks which were all cooked correctly our requests. The chicken with mushroom sauce was ok, not great but not bad. Cheese course for dessert is always a nice treat at Côte, especially as it’s included on the fixed price menu. A nice meal and evening out but service was slow throughout our visit.

Good place. No bread on the table as all french restaurants and needed to pay for all time you needed some. Banna desert no good. The crepe is like plastic and Banna to hard.

Arrived at around 11:30 for breakfast on 19 Oct . Taken to a table . Tried getting the attention of several staff members , didn’t even look at us . Waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order . No one came so we left . On leaving the waitress said thanks guys have a great day. Don’t think she even realised we had been waiting. We don’t live in Liverpool . We goto to Chester Cote regularly. Which is always perfect .

Was refused entry even though it was at 8:40pm but the closing time says 10pm?

The woman who served was very rude to me for no reason and would avoid me when calling her. So rude and disrespectful.

While the main food is fairly good, with a decent prix menu, when I tried to obtain brunch multiple times, the service severely let me down. The unused outside tables were covered in water today despite the fact there was no rain for four hours, and it took literally less than ten seconds to wipe a table dry as I sat. The fact that these tables weren't taken care of much earlier is unacceptable. In addition, the times for the brunch in Cote Liverpool on the website are not followed at all. They don't give brunch on days outside of the weekend, despite claiming to serve it all week, and the time brunch servings end is also wrong, as servers at the place told me it ended at 2pm, instead of 11:30am. But despite the claims of brunch on the weekend, they can't even stick to that, because despite today being Saturday, they proved unable to give brunch, and floundered in answering when brunch would be available next to purchase and enjoy, which they claimed to not know. For a brasserie chain, this is a surprising level of incompetence in management. If you can't confidently inform your customers when you are able to serve specific foods, and don't update that on your online advertising, then I am sorry to say that you should not be running a restaurant. Or at least, that you should massively downsize. This is just sad.

Myself an two friend's came here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We had a lovely table by the window. Donna who served us was amazing, polite helpful, friendly an very amenable. Could not fault the service by Donna an her other waiting staff. The food was exceptional, fresh an great quality it was one of if not the best breakfast I've had. If you want to a great breakfast with great service in an amazing restaurant then this is for you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Typical Cote restaurant. Not quite 5 stars but very close.

Visited Cote Liverpool as we have done many times before. We had a voucher for cocktails and they did not have what was needed for our chosen cocktail so we selected an alternative. We ordered Breton fish stew which we have had many times before. The amount was greatly reduced mostly mussels and potatoes and approx 3 prawns, no calamari and substantially reduced! We were not asked how our food was and when we called someone over to express our concerns we were offered a starter- we choose a starter but he never came back until we asked for the bill so we did not have the opportunity to order one!! We were very disappointed with our visit and paid full price for a very poor meal. So disappointed as we have always enjoyed our previous visits! Poor show Cote Liverpool

Really amazing meal celebrating my birthday with the most amazing girlfriend. Steak was lovely, so were the mussels. As well as the cheese plate and the Camembert to start. Cannot remember his name but the Hungarian waiter was amazing and really knew the menu well and was great with pairing wines and cheeses. Lovely night with the most amazing food and atmosphere. Definitely recommend

Visited today for lunch with a friend who visits Liverpool occasionally. I choose Cote, knowing I wouldn't be disappointed. We where looked after so well. Our charming waiters were so helpful ,even swapping out the goats cheese for another on the Prefix menu Excellent food, service, and price.

What can I say but ... WOW! There are no others words to describe my experience. The service was exceptional, and the food was the closest to a perfect meal i've ever had! We started with the french onion soup and cheese soufflé which were outstanding! followed by the duck and pork belly, we both agreed these were some of the best mains we've experienced in a restaurant, hot, flavourful and perfectly balanced. Obviously we had a bottle of pinot noir which mated perfectly (thank you to the waitress for the suggestion) and to top it all off, my friend finished with a crème caramel, which she said was the best she'd ever eaten and I had the cheese board. I've never been to a restaurant that gives you multiple options for cheese, but I was impressed by the choice. What a way to finish off an amazing experience. Thank you Cote! Absolutely stunning meal, outstanding service and an experience I cannot fault ❤️

Just have to say the pork belly was insane! I also had the souffle to start and the creme caramel for dessert; honestly beautiful! The service was fab, the wine was delicious but the food was honestly outstanding. I will be back!

The service (of the waitress, dressed in red and black and wearing black glasses) was appalling. Sighing and puffing when you order water (with food). Bringing food, without cutlery or serviette. Having to ask for some water, because the first time, it was ignored but still accompanied by sighing and puffing. Whether it is sitting inside or outside, walk on and go to the nearest restaurant who is welcoming to their customers.

Had a good meal here with but with an exception of the fillet steak, which seriously needs looking at! When it arrived, it was a very poor piece of steak, at £30! However, the waiter dealt with it excellently, and we changed it for a sirloin instead, which was delivered to perfection. We were advised that they were short staffed in the kitchen, which it truth, did not affect us in any way, the staff were all lovely and attentive making sure we had everything and kept us informed.
