Love this restaurant I mainly go for brunch, food quality is great and prices are also ok compared to other places in the area.

Nice restaurant but not many food options that were to my taste. Expensive but I didn't pay, so on this occasion it worked for me. Great customer service though so possibly a four star rating.

A few years ago I visited this location and had not a great experience however the staff were very good in putting things right which encouraged me to return. I had a booking on Sunday and it was soooo lovely. We were served by Victoria and she was the sweetest person ever. So attentive and patient and also gave an amazing wine recommendation which was fab. Would 100% return. The roast was unreal and all round service was fabulous.

The food is spectacular great chefs that care about what they do

We were a table of 8 for lunch and had an excellent experience at Cote, Chislehurst today. Good value for money - especially the Prix Fixe menus - and friendly service. Front of house dealt promptly with a number of requests for changes to our pre-ordered choices. Thank you.

Food choices not available, and what was served was not as detailed in the menu. We only had starters then went to Giggling Squid for a main course. This used to be one of our favourite restaurants for a mid week meal, but won’t be going back anytime soon.

Our first time here for breakfast and was impressed with the variety on the menu, especially for children and with the quality of food. It was all brought out quickly and looked delicious, the only issue was the bacon was over done on a children's breakfast. It was changed quickly but was disappointing to receive it burnt like that. It was overall a really nice experience to be able to have a family breakfast in such a warm & calm atmosphere. Would definitely come back to try lunch or dinner.

The food was superb, full of flavour and delicious, the service was excellent. We had a three course set menu meal, which cost £22.95, a tat small choice but nevertheless plentiful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be returning. Parking limited to two hours

My wife and I had a lovely evening at Cote Chislehurst last Friday.

Probably Mothering Sunday is not the best day to judge a restaurant, but that was the day we chose. We were seated quickly and waited upon almost at once. Unfortunately, when we came to make our food choices, we were then given a long list of items which had run out. Even then, having ordered, I had to change my starter again as that had now run out. The food (from the limited selection) was well cooked and presented and reasonably quickly provided. However, we had to issue a reminder for one starter and it took several requests before the tap water arrived. The staff (with one exception) were friendly and attentive after what had obviously been a busy day. I know we were among the last guests (we couldn’t come any earlier because it was fully booked) but numbers had been known in advance and to run out of three of the four fixed price menu starters (and about half of the full menu’s) was evidence of poor planning or an over-zealous effort to cut costs. The range of main dishes was also badly affected. Happily the wine was very drinkable. I would like to have given four stars but being seated next to the draughty door (up the many steep stairs) to the toilet did not add to our comfort and the menu chaos was a severe damper on our expectations.

Booked a table at 6pm. Wasn’t busy at all when we arrived. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive but seemed the only one working. The others just wandered about. Our waitress was running round all over the place do much so you didn’t like catching her attention as she appeared so busy. I had the hake new on the menu at I think £20.95. It was overcooked and normally I’d send it back but the atmosphere in there was one of when a restaurant comes up to the end of the day and I was in a bit of a rush. My daughter had the chicken which she says was lovely. Cote is a great restaurant chain but I feel someone needs to visit the sites regularly to watch staff and the kitchen to make sure it’s as it should be. Will go back but not for a whole.

Booked a table for last Saturday for my birthday celebrations to enjoy a lovely evening with friends. It was such a disappointing experience. We arrived to be given a table completely removed from the main seating area and devoid of any atmosphere. The service was poor, slow we had to repeatedly ask for things we had ordered that never arrived as they were just forgotten. At one point I think it was a manager who came to us to give us coffees we had ordered she was rude and very unfriendly . I certainly will not rush back and I am sure nor will any of the party I was with . I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very poor service... missing items and having to ask for the drinks time and time again.. didn't ask us if we are OK, nor want anything else. We even had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. Did not pay service charge ... there are better restaurants in chislehurst.

Good food and decent service. However they had a leak in the ceiling from the toilets upstairs which was off putting.

Cote exceeded all our expectations! We’re so glad we gave this chain another chance because everything was absolutely top-notch this time. A wonderful kitchen, where every dish is a perfect harmony of flavors, complemented by impeccable service. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the calamari was tender, the sauces were exquisite, and the wine selection was impressive. But what truly stood out was the service—attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making our evening even more enjoyable. An extra highlight was the staff’s kindness. Not only were they incredibly welcoming to us, but they were also exceptionally sweet and attentive to our little daughter, making the whole experience even more special and comfortable. This was a true gastronomic delight, leaving us with only the best impressions. We’re happy we rediscovered Cote!♥️

The salmon was overcooked the Brockley was raw my wife had steak which was all grissle the salad was just tomato it was awful we have had better food at weatherpoons we will never return.

The food itself is good and the staff are friendly. We’ve been going here for a few years and it’s extremely hit and miss if your food is going to take ages or you’re going to have to sit around 30 mins waiting for the bill. We shouldn’t have to ask 3 times for the bill and be literally threatening to leave if you don’t give us it. You need a system in place like bills where you can just pay and go as you are to short staffed constantly.

Have been visiting regularly for two years and they are consistently poor on service. Long waits to have your order taken, receive food or the bill are not uncommon. It’s a real shame. I mentioned this to the management team today after another frustrating 20 minute wait and it was dismissed as “we’re understaffed” with no apology or interest taken. I feel like that’s the last time I’ll be visiting when Chislehurst has so many other options, with more impressive service and a management team who take an interest.

My wife and I booked a table at Cote Chislehurst for New Year’s Eve, expecting a festive and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, our experience was far from it. We were seated promptly around 7:15 PM and served drinks, but things quickly went downhill. Over an hour later, we were still waiting for our food. After voicing our concerns to the manageress, she apologized and offered us a bottle of wine as compensation, assuring us the food would arrive soon. However, another 45 minutes passed with no sign of either the food or the promised wine. By then, our patience had worn thin, and we made the decision to leave and find somewhere else to salvage our evening. The service was abysmal, and the lack of communication or follow-through from the staff made the experience even worse. We left Cote disappointed and frustrated. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. Rating: 1/5

On a cold damp damp day we opted to try their two course lunch. The pumpkin soup was cold and had to be returned to be heated up... The main course of chicken breast and mushroom sauce was tepid with only the fries being hot. The waitress returned the main courses which eventually came back hot with two fresh packs of fries.... The crepe aux bananas was nice with a warm chocolate sauce. Was that right? .. We found it a bit rich that it was a bit rich for them to charge an extra £4.19 service charge as the kitchen had not provided much ' service' at all, sending out cold food.

Had a great pre Christmas lunch. Good food, great service and especially nice that you can mix and match the set and a la carte menu for the different courses.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and friends for big birthday party and had a mixed experience. The food was absolutely fantastic well prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our waitress was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service that enhanced the dining experience. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the manager. She seemed inexperienced and lacked a clear understanding of her role. Her attitude and handling of certain situations left a lot to be desired, which put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable evening. id recommend this place for the great food and wonderful waitstaff, but the management needs serious improvement to ensure a smoother experience for customers unfortunately..

Soup tepid, sent back . Waiter curt and abrupt and waitress seemed fed up . Tiny flies around the table throughout the whole meal. Staff member said that this was a known issue, most likely from the plants but that they could not be removed.

Lovely place but the best thing about this place was manager Ewa. She was attentive, polite and we will definitely visit again because of her.

It is a lovely local place to have a fantastic breakfast.

Had a amazing early breakfast this morning at Cote. It was our first time but it will not our last. Out food was perfect our waitress was very attentive and sweet. One waitress saw we were being pestered by a wasp and caught the thing for us which we really appreciated. We will be back to try the dinner service. Thanks :)

Visited on a Sunday and asked the front host if they were offering veggie roasts as the menu outside was quite ambiguous- we were advised that they were. After being seated and purveying the menu we were advised there were no veggie roasts by our server. Disappointed but we both ordered the vegan burger and fries, which were very good. Venue is big and was mostly empty but all parties were seated very close together which meant there was a lot of noise from nearby children and larger parties. I could smell the body odour of a gentleman seated nearby which was quite offputting while I was eating. Food was tasty but they need more choice for vegans and vegetarians. Also I had to swap out cutlery from a nearby table as my fork was dirty.

Went to Cote today for my Mum's 80th birthday.When I booked it I told them that it was a special occasion so I thought they might have done something nice ,but they didn't.Food was okay I wouldn't recommend it myself .I asked if the burger was flame grilled ,but when it came out it was thick and tough I gave it to my daughter .Maybe someone else would find it nice .But I definitely would not go back .

First and last time here. French toast was expecting to be looking as in the pics. Creme fresh and fruits came later, bacon was really small. Overall disappointing and not impressed at all.

Cote is fast becomming our restaurant of choice. First time in Chislehurst and the same high standard. Had champagne brunch. Great food and service, with added entertainment. Cannot fault.

We have an amazing time every time we visit! The food is excellent and the staff is the sweetest, kindest and most attentive! Victoria is an absolute sweetheart. This is an excellent venue for celebrations too! Well done to everyone and to the lovely manager! Best customer service ever!

Well, what can I say? It was surely an interesting experience from the start... we had plans to go for brunch as family of 5. We arrived at the restaurant but were informed that there were no tables available (despite seeing a few free tables in front of us with no reserved signs). When asking the staff when the next available slot for a table, we were told that none were available for at least another 3hrs although the staff at front did not actually make any effort to check her iPad. Upon checking online websites, we found that there were a few free slots the earliest was in 30 mins time. We booked the next available slot and arrived promptly on time. On arrival and after clearly stating that we have made a reservation. We were told that there still might not be any available tables and that the manager needed to get involved. AGAIN, there were plenty of free tables at the restaurant. After an awkward encounter with the manager, we eventually managed to get a table. Overall, the experience was not very pleasant. We are a family of mixed ethnic origin and wonder whether this reflected the poor treatment towards us. I will say that the table service provided was very good. I am writing this in the hope that the restaurant sees this and makes necessary changes to its conduct.

My friend and I visited Cote, Chislehurst last week. She is gluten free and I'm not. We were both really happy with our delicious food and our waitress Viktoriia was the best! So friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. This time we ate from the a la carte menu but the fixed price menu is also excellent. Everything was perfect and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you very much, Viktoriia and team!

Came here for Breakfast on Fathers Day. Had the French Breakfast & Yogurt with Granola & Fruit Compot. Really enjoyed the experience & will definitely return.

The interior is a bit retro,, it looks like a posh little chef from 1977, with vinyl booths and smoked glass. Maybe it really is meant to be retro and I'm too far gone to get the joke. Anyway enough of that because the main thing is the food is really very decent brasserie food, the service is perfect and the prix fixe a bargain. My cheap-cut of steak was well bashed and cooked perfectly on the rare side of medium and the whitebait tasted of fish. Tarte au Citroen genuinely tasted or fresh lemon. This sounds like basic stuff and maybe it should be, but I appreciate the effort to keep up standards. Edit: 2 years ago I gave this 5 stars. Spring 24 we went again and the food was almost inedible. What happened?

The food is great and I find your food and drink good value for money and the atmosphere is more elevated than the prices, which is nice. My main reason for visiting is however the good quality gluten-free menu that's based more on naturally gluten-free foods over using substitute gf products, as they don't suit me very well due to intolerances. I love how safe I feel eating at yours and I have a lot to choose from.

I enjoyed my salad. Service was good. Unfortunately my partner's steak was not cooked on high heat enough to render the fat down which was a shame but they offered to change it which was nice of them but we were too hungry and just left (quite a lot) of the inedible bits and ate what we could

We love cotes and not too long ago I thought they was losing their spark but it’s been fully ignited the new pudding and cheese menu 5* and the new additions to the menu and and the old ones that have had a make over are a breath of fresh air and so tasty and will make us continue to go back again and again. The staff in Chislehurst are exceptional and always helpful and we know we can always rely on this restaurant why we keep returning. But today was exceptionally pleasant even though we had a 6 month old with us we was highly catered for and felt valued as a customer

Had Breakfast I ordered the yogurt with granola & berries it was a very very small portion & the quality of yogurt was very poor I felt totally ripped off nearly £30 for 2 coffees & 2 yogurt & granola’s this has put me off ever going to Cotes again

When the waitress came to clear the table she wasn't watching what she was doing, she pushed over a bottle of water and a glass of beer with a plate as she leant across me to get to get something from the other side of the table This is a matter of training she should not have been leaning across me. The water and beer went all over my friends clothes her arm and leg were soaked and smelt of beer. The manager wasn't bothered gave us a replacement beer. The food wasn't as good as other Cote brasserie we have visited, the manager is complacent about customer service I didn't see one member of staff smile in the 2 hours I was there except forced smiles when they sang happy birthday to someone. My friend didn't want a fuss but we didn't pay the service charge, the waitress told this to the manger who just shrugged. Do not go to the restaurant if your like good food and. Good service. The manager spent most of his time talking to his prettiest member of staff and ignoring his customers. It was my birthday treat so we all left pissed off.

The food was very nice. Waitress was rather rude & really did not want to be there.However, they swapped the waitress, and the 2nd waitress was very polite and knew what she was doing. We had a lovely evening.

We had breakfast here and I wasn't at all sure I wanted the fancy concoction they did but wow it was amazing now I want to recreate it at home lol. Fabulous

The waiter service was non attentive and came over uninterested. The amount of bread provided with the cheeseboard was pathetic. We order some additional bread to try to enjoy the remaining cheese and only 5 tiny slices arrived.

The food was horrible, and all the portions are minuscule for the price. Basic menu, and 10£ for things you can easily make at home for much cheaper. Nothing special about here, wouldn’t ever return to eat here.

Food was good but slow. The staff seemed to struggle with one of the party having an allergy, some food was delivered to the table and then taken away again as they were unsure if it was safe.

Food ok but every surface needed a really good polish especially the mirrors. The service wasn’t that great although the staff were pleasant. I had go to the bar a number of times to get their attention and an additional bowl of olives (which never came). The place isn’t extortionate but I expected more for my money to be honest.

Amazing, it is my birthday in a few days so I told the manager but I did not expect this! But when I ordered my dessert, they put a candle on and sang happy birthday 😊 such amazing people.I would recommend cote for celebrations and enjoying moments of happiness. Biggest Cote we have ever been in. Same excellent value, especially the prix fixe menu. Lovely friendly service and a great atmosphere. Everyone loved it.

Great meal and wine today. Efficient and charming waiter. Chairs a little too close with other diners made it noisy..my only comment of complaint. Will be back as a great menu!

We were there for a Father’s Day, and a complimentary beer for my partner was a nice touch. Friendly service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere. The best Cote I have been to.

Quality of both food and service went downhill lately. Went for a bfast midweek so the place was not busy at all, asked some details about one of their sides and the waitress told me very serene that she can’t explain it well in English. Okay. Then she went on giggling behind the bar with her colleague, wasn’t sure if they were talking about me or someone else but they were behaving very unprofessional. The food was also not as good as it used to be. We would come here often pre-pandemic but from now onwards I’ll avoid the place

Cote is dependable and reasonably priced and this branch meets the brand standard. Service here was very good and the food as expected. Not something to rave about, but a good option when you fancy a night off from the cooking duty. The Steak Soiree meal option was a great way to lure a wine head like me to visit on a Wednesday, LOL.

As a fussy eater, I will say that this restaurant has sincerely impressed me. Our waiter Zoryana was very kind and caring. Whilst the food is nourishing and tasty, fit for a meal made to fulfil you with taste. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone reading this.

Food fabulous as usual. My initial server didn't really know how to deal with a solo female late diner. He seemed bemused the fact I was there. He disappeared after serving the main course. Another man, maybe the manager was chatting to a couple on a nearby table and eventually took my plate away. I had to interrupt his conversation to request the dessert menu and also to place my dessert order. Highly recommend the beef bourgogne and the elderflower creme brulee.

The food, atmosphere and the service provided by Madeline was great. I would recommend this restaurant, the food is reasonably priced and the rib eye steak was excellent.

So disappointed! Visited after a year. Staff were great but 1) incomplete meals 2) food not freshly cooked and sausage so hard we literally showed to staff we could not cut through it. Not joking! I get much smaller portions but not such poor quality food!

We went to this so called French restaurant last night with my wife and two family members, I can honestly say this is some of the worst quality food I have had in years, it was so bad it was embarrassing, the place was full which makes me think why are these people coming here is it because there is no where else to go surely not, trust me it was bad all pre cooked and served up I think via microwave, the staff was non engaging and the place was grotty, the bill came to £240 which was a crying shame for the rubbish we had, this is in no way French food, is fast food served on a plate, the French onion soup was made with some kind of gravy and the beef bourguignon was a lump of beef cheek and the most dried up bits to the side , its simple it was inedible and disgusting, the fish pie thing my wife had was dry and was tasteless, the mussels we had was old tasting and the white wine sauce with them was like water, we was also charged for things we did not have but lucky my wife checked and we got them removed for the bill, if i was not out with my family I certainly would have had a major complaint about the food quality, keep away from this place please if you are out for a special night out as its cheap pre cooked nasty food, This food is cooked at a central Kitchen outside london and shipped in and then reheated, if you dont believe me google it and see for your self, so this so called delicious food everyone goes on about is in fact a microwaved or fast oven re heated pre cooked dish,

Went to the restaurant yesterday with my cousin and my friend staff we are friendly didn’t have to wait long for a food. My friend had the chicken salad which was lovely. My Cousin and I had the Beef burger which was a bit tough. I’m not sure if it’s premade .. which was a shame we were angry so we ate it Will order that again The disabled toilet had a leak, which looks like it’s been leaking for awhile apart from that, everything was good

Very poor service and food which is such a shame. Pre-pandemic it used to be a great place to experience a bit of luxury, breakfast wise. Rock hard avocado that they just expect you to eat with no apology. Forgot the eggs and didn't check up on how the food was.

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I visited a known chef's restaurant in London. Very expensive but the food was disappointing. We both agreed that Cote food was delicious, great value for money and certainly better than the fare we had in famous chef's restaurant!

Food was lovely as always the steak was very tasty and the fries were freshly cooked and crispy. We had an amazing complementary blood orange martini with the voucher with the booking. Sadly customer service wasn't great, plates were left too long but food came out quickly so overall a great experience but there is a lot of room for improvement.
