I had a bland, undercooked pork belly dish. It’s not up to the standard of other Cote’s

Cote is fast becomming our restaurant of choice. First time in Chislehurst and the same high standard. Had champagne brunch. Great food and service, with added entertainment. Cannot fault.

We have an amazing time every time we visit! The food is excellent and the staff is the sweetest, kindest and most attentive! Victoria is an absolute sweetheart. This is an excellent venue for celebrations too! Well done to everyone and to the lovely manager! Best customer service ever!

Well, what can I say? It was surely an interesting experience from the start... we had plans to go for brunch as family of 5. We arrived at the restaurant but were informed that there were no tables available (despite seeing a few free tables in front of us with no reserved signs). When asking the staff when the next available slot for a table, we were told that none were available for at least another 3hrs although the staff at front did not actually make any effort to check her iPad. Upon checking online websites, we found that there were a few free slots the earliest was in 30 mins time. We booked the next available slot and arrived promptly on time. On arrival and after clearly stating that we have made a reservation. We were told that there still might not be any available tables and that the manager needed to get involved. AGAIN, there were plenty of free tables at the restaurant. After an awkward encounter with the manager, we eventually managed to get a table. Overall, the experience was not very pleasant. We are a family of mixed ethnic origin and wonder whether this reflected the poor treatment towards us. I will say that the table service provided was very good. I am writing this in the hope that the restaurant sees this and makes necessary changes to its conduct.

My friend and I visited Cote, Chislehurst last week. She is gluten free and I'm not. We were both really happy with our delicious food and our waitress Viktoriia was the best! So friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. This time we ate from the a la carte menu but the fixed price menu is also excellent. Everything was perfect and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you very much, Viktoriia and team!

Came here for Breakfast on Fathers Day. Had the French Breakfast & Yogurt with Granola & Fruit Compot. Really enjoyed the experience & will definitely return.

The interior is a bit retro,, it looks like a posh little chef from 1977, with vinyl booths and smoked glass. Maybe it really is meant to be retro and I'm too far gone to get the joke. Anyway enough of that because the main thing is the food is really very decent brasserie food, the service is perfect and the prix fixe a bargain. My cheap-cut of steak was well bashed and cooked perfectly on the rare side of medium and the whitebait tasted of fish. Tarte au Citroen genuinely tasted or fresh lemon. This sounds like basic stuff and maybe it should be, but I appreciate the effort to keep up standards. Edit: 2 years ago I gave this 5 stars. Spring 24 we went again and the food was almost inedible. What happened?

The food is great and I find your food and drink good value for money and the atmosphere is more elevated than the prices, which is nice. My main reason for visiting is however the good quality gluten-free menu that's based more on naturally gluten-free foods over using substitute gf products, as they don't suit me very well due to intolerances. I love how safe I feel eating at yours and I have a lot to choose from.

I enjoyed my salad. Service was good. Unfortunately my partner's steak was not cooked on high heat enough to render the fat down which was a shame but they offered to change it which was nice of them but we were too hungry and just left (quite a lot) of the inedible bits and ate what we could

We love cotes and not too long ago I thought they was losing their spark but it’s been fully ignited the new pudding and cheese menu 5* and the new additions to the menu and and the old ones that have had a make over are a breath of fresh air and so tasty and will make us continue to go back again and again. The staff in Chislehurst are exceptional and always helpful and we know we can always rely on this restaurant why we keep returning. But today was exceptionally pleasant even though we had a 6 month old with us we was highly catered for and felt valued as a customer

Had Breakfast I ordered the yogurt with granola & berries it was a very very small portion & the quality of yogurt was very poor I felt totally ripped off nearly £30 for 2 coffees & 2 yogurt & granola’s this has put me off ever going to Cotes again

When the waitress came to clear the table she wasn't watching what she was doing, she pushed over a bottle of water and a glass of beer with a plate as she leant across me to get to get something from the other side of the table This is a matter of training she should not have been leaning across me. The water and beer went all over my friends clothes her arm and leg were soaked and smelt of beer. The manager wasn't bothered gave us a replacement beer. The food wasn't as good as other Cote brasserie we have visited, the manager is complacent about customer service I didn't see one member of staff smile in the 2 hours I was there except forced smiles when they sang happy birthday to someone. My friend didn't want a fuss but we didn't pay the service charge, the waitress told this to the manger who just shrugged. Do not go to the restaurant if your like good food and. Good service. The manager spent most of his time talking to his prettiest member of staff and ignoring his customers. It was my birthday treat so we all left pissed off.

The food was very nice. Waitress was rather rude & really did not want to be there.However, they swapped the waitress, and the 2nd waitress was very polite and knew what she was doing. We had a lovely evening.

Fantastic service from Daniel, Great man he is. However, food MUST!!!!! be better.

Slow service and the mussels were terrible. Couldn't taste them as there was SO much garlic on them!

Had a great meal overall here. Food was tasty, service was really friendly, took extra care with dietary requirements. Atmosphere a bit lacking but it was a Sunday Evening. Wine well priced and well chilled

We had breakfast here and I wasn't at all sure I wanted the fancy concoction they did but wow it was amazing now I want to recreate it at home lol. Fabulous

The waiter service was non attentive and came over uninterested. The amount of bread provided with the cheeseboard was pathetic. We order some additional bread to try to enjoy the remaining cheese and only 5 tiny slices arrived.

The food was horrible, and all the portions are minuscule for the price. Basic menu, and 10£ for things you can easily make at home for much cheaper. Nothing special about here, wouldn’t ever return to eat here.

Food was good but slow. The staff seemed to struggle with one of the party having an allergy, some food was delivered to the table and then taken away again as they were unsure if it was safe.

Food ok but every surface needed a really good polish especially the mirrors. The service wasn’t that great although the staff were pleasant. I had go to the bar a number of times to get their attention and an additional bowl of olives (which never came). The place isn’t extortionate but I expected more for my money to be honest.

Amazing, it is my birthday in a few days so I told the manager but I did not expect this! But when I ordered my dessert, they put a candle on and sang happy birthday 😊 such amazing people.I would recommend cote for celebrations and enjoying moments of happiness. Biggest Cote we have ever been in. Same excellent value, especially the prix fixe menu. Lovely friendly service and a great atmosphere. Everyone loved it.

Great meal and wine today. Efficient and charming waiter. Chairs a little too close with other diners made it noisy..my only comment of complaint. Will be back as a great menu!

We were there for a Father’s Day, and a complimentary beer for my partner was a nice touch. Friendly service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere. The best Cote I have been to.

Quality of both food and service went downhill lately. Went for a bfast midweek so the place was not busy at all, asked some details about one of their sides and the waitress told me very serene that she can’t explain it well in English. Okay. Then she went on giggling behind the bar with her colleague, wasn’t sure if they were talking about me or someone else but they were behaving very unprofessional. The food was also not as good as it used to be. We would come here often pre-pandemic but from now onwards I’ll avoid the place

Cote is dependable and reasonably priced and this branch meets the brand standard. Service here was very good and the food as expected. Not something to rave about, but a good option when you fancy a night off from the cooking duty. The Steak Soiree meal option was a great way to lure a wine head like me to visit on a Wednesday, LOL.

As a fussy eater, I will say that this restaurant has sincerely impressed me. Our waiter Zoryana was very kind and caring. Whilst the food is nourishing and tasty, fit for a meal made to fulfil you with taste. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone reading this.

Food fabulous as usual. My initial server didn't really know how to deal with a solo female late diner. He seemed bemused the fact I was there. He disappeared after serving the main course. Another man, maybe the manager was chatting to a couple on a nearby table and eventually took my plate away. I had to interrupt his conversation to request the dessert menu and also to place my dessert order. Highly recommend the beef bourgogne and the elderflower creme brulee.

The food, atmosphere and the service provided by Madeline was great. I would recommend this restaurant, the food is reasonably priced and the rib eye steak was excellent.

So disappointed! Visited after a year. Staff were great but 1) incomplete meals 2) food not freshly cooked and sausage so hard we literally showed to staff we could not cut through it. Not joking! I get much smaller portions but not such poor quality food!

We went to this so called French restaurant last night with my wife and two family members, I can honestly say this is some of the worst quality food I have had in years, it was so bad it was embarrassing, the place was full which makes me think why are these people coming here is it because there is no where else to go surely not, trust me it was bad all pre cooked and served up I think via microwave, the staff was non engaging and the place was grotty, the bill came to £240 which was a crying shame for the rubbish we had, this is in no way French food, is fast food served on a plate, the French onion soup was made with some kind of gravy and the beef bourguignon was a lump of beef cheek and the most dried up bits to the side , its simple it was inedible and disgusting, the fish pie thing my wife had was dry and was tasteless, the mussels we had was old tasting and the white wine sauce with them was like water, we was also charged for things we did not have but lucky my wife checked and we got them removed for the bill, if i was not out with my family I certainly would have had a major complaint about the food quality, keep away from this place please if you are out for a special night out as its cheap pre cooked nasty food, This food is cooked at a central Kitchen outside london and shipped in and then reheated, if you dont believe me google it and see for your self, so this so called delicious food everyone goes on about is in fact a microwaved or fast oven re heated pre cooked dish,

Went to the restaurant yesterday with my cousin and my friend staff we are friendly didn’t have to wait long for a food. My friend had the chicken salad which was lovely. My Cousin and I had the Beef burger which was a bit tough. I’m not sure if it’s premade .. which was a shame we were angry so we ate it Will order that again The disabled toilet had a leak, which looks like it’s been leaking for awhile apart from that, everything was good

Very poor service and food which is such a shame. Pre-pandemic it used to be a great place to experience a bit of luxury, breakfast wise. Rock hard avocado that they just expect you to eat with no apology. Forgot the eggs and didn't check up on how the food was.

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I visited a known chef's restaurant in London. Very expensive but the food was disappointing. We both agreed that Cote food was delicious, great value for money and certainly better than the fare we had in famous chef's restaurant!

Just celebrated my mums birthday last night at Côte Chislehurst and it was perfect!!! The food was great and the service was amazing. Thank you Cote team for making my mum’s bday dinner special. 🙏🙏

Food was lovely as always the steak was very tasty and the fries were freshly cooked and crispy. We had an amazing complementary blood orange martini with the voucher with the booking. Sadly customer service wasn't great, plates were left too long but food came out quickly so overall a great experience but there is a lot of room for improvement.

My husband & I are regulars to the Chislehurst Cote. We always get the best service from their wonderful staff there. They are so friendly & welcoming which always makes our visits a real pleasure plus the food is lovely & great value for money. On boxing day the manager gave me complimentary coffee & toast which was such a kind & thoughtful gesture. I just want to say a big thankyou to everyone at Cote Chislehurst for being so wonderful.

I regularly dine with Côte and luckily the Chislehurst restaurant os my local. I was able to book a table for four at short notice and new I could rely on this place to provide a lovely evening meal. They didn't dissappoint, all four of us left feeling content with the service, the food and the ambience. The staff were attentive, polite and very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. The restaurant is now well decorated for the Christmas period 🎄 Thank you for having us.

The food is fantastic as always. We were there at lunchtime today and really enjoyed our meals. Did was prepared at a reasonable pace. The tables for two are four are placed pretty close to each other so some may find that it does lack a bit of privacy. The only criticism is there were tables available in other parts of the restaurant where it less busy. So, we could have had more privacy if they did give us another table on the other side. There is paid parking available on the High Street. You can pay using the Ringo app. That's pretty useful if you need to extend your parking session (if you decide to stay for dessert, which we did. 😀)

Really disappointed with todays visit. All was fine throughout starters. But 2 meal out of 4 were later to the table. My steak tasted so off I had to spit it out. I was offered an alternative but everyone else would have finished their meals by the time my replacement was ready so I declined. I was told it was todays steak but it was most definitely off. This meal was taken off the bill but not the accompanying extra veg . We had 1 soft drink. 1 small wine and 1 Negroni. We were ordering off the set menu 2 courses. Our bill was still £62 out of a total of £131 for 4 of us, and I had to go home to make myself food. I don’t think CB went nearly far enough to rectify this problem. It was a lot to spend to leave having not had a meal.

I had the Breton fish stew ,it was fantastic and very delicious.

As a party of four adults and one child, we celebrated a birthday at Cote Chislehurst on Saturday (lunchtime) 22/10/2022 Having dined at this Restaurant on a previous occasion, I knew we were in for a treat. It starts with the welcoming greeting upon entry. Staff being courteous with a smile is always a big plus in the hospitality sector. My Grand Daughter, who is six years old reacted really well to the humorous gestures made by the (senior) waiter on duty. After being seated, our waitress Holly introduced herself. An absolute delightful young lady, she covered areas of the menu and the children's option too. Drawing paper and crayons were supplied to my Grand Daughter. Clearly enjoying her role, Holly is a real asset to this team. The various options of food and drinks we all chose from the menu were enjoyed and represent excellent value for this dining experience. There appeared to be no sense of urgency to vacate our table and whist saying thank you and good bye, the (senior) waiter once again had some humorous interaction with our Grand daughter. She was a really happy little girl. Another great experience at Cote Chislehurst. Well done team!!

Went to cote, (there were 5 of us). We ordered starters and mains. The starters were lovely and came out quickly. Then we had to wait over an hour for mains. When I spoke to the waiter he checked with the kitchen and said they had forgotten about us and they were cooking the food right away. After the mains came out, one of the guest meals was freezing cold, as though it had just come out of the fridge. We then sent it back as even the waiter felt it and said it was cold on the inside. When it eventually came back out it was piping hot, but none of what took place should have happened in the first place. The restaurant wasn't even busy. It was 5pm on a Sunday night. Then to top it off they charged me £120 for the whole meal. It's ridiculous what exactly did I pay for. We will never be eating at a cote restaurant again.

Went for a family birthday meal. Food was delicious, even if the half lobster was very small (all wished we'd ordered the whole). Service was OK, pleasant and friendly staff.

Awful experience in Cote Chislehurst last night. We were served by a male waiter that clearly had an issue serving three women of colour. He had a slight foreign accent but I didn't manage to get his name. We have all visited various Cote restaurant chains and went to the Chislehurst location for the first time. Our usual order of Steak Frites was not available and the response from the male waiter was 'No that's not available' no apology, no effort to show us an alternative - he simply walked away. I had the mussels instead and my two friends had the chicken - which was undercooked and still pink. The fries were so over cooked that there was no longer any potatoes in them. When we mentioned this to our waiter - again no apology, he simply picked up our plates and walked away. We asked for the bill and he got another member of staff to bring it to our table who was actually much nicer. For some reason this waiter did not like us - we could over hear him being kind and gracious to other tables so we can only imagine that the reason that he was rude and unpleasant to us was due to the fact that we were the only people of colour in the restaurant. He is an absolute disgrace and its a shame that one employee has made me write this review and NEVER return. If you don't like people don't work in customer service. The Manager removed the chicken off the bill and the female waitress that brought over our bill was an angel. When we were explaining the service to the female member of staff the male waiter looked over at us smiling as he was aware we were discussing him. He's an embarrassment to the restaurant. Shame that this one egotistical man ruined what could be a wonderful dining experience.

Lovely location. Food is good value and service excellent. Recommended. Update- Disappointed on this occasion. We came for lunch. Long wait for the main courses. The steaks were extremely salty, and was not informed which was medium and medium rare. Service was mediocre as staff seemed busy arguing or paying attention only to 1 or 2 tables.

Had a decaf coffee here today. I don’t think it was actually decaf because I’m writing this at 4am! So disappointed! 😣

Visited here, with my wife and youngest God- daughter at Cote Chislehurst for the very first time on Sunday 31/ 7/22, at 1300pm reservation. We stayed for at least 2 hours 30mins. I always believe on the principle in given a 'first time try look in, and to experience as you find' basis when visiting a restaurant - particularly for the first time. Well, my first impressions were encouraged to see an almost packed restaurant on arrival. Good parking in bays just outside the restaurant off the High Street. Also served by bus routes close by..Nos. 61,160,161,162, 273, R7, N136. I was surprised of the very spacious dining area layout inside, very clean, hygenic, airy, modern with soft lighting and decor to suit. Very comfortable seating arrangements, soft relaxing music played in the background. The atmosphere during our time seemed cheerful, a few birthday celebrations were assisted by the staff. The staff and manager I found very kind and helpful, and with good service provided by all staff. Maybe just only a tad slow in speed, but however understandable due to the very busy custom present. But, they were very polite and I enjoyed my short conversations with them...and staff occasionally consulted us and made sure if everything was to our satisfaction. The food PAR EXCELLENCE! True in French 🇫🇷 tradition.....( I recommend the Monkfish) and a reminder when my wife and I enjoyed our 25th Siver Wedding Anniversary in Paris some years back (we are now 42 years ongoing!). In fact, the restaurant brought some memories of this moment on reflection; the surroundings a reminder with some Parisian restaurants we visited. Yes, everything deserves a first chance of opportunity......I for one personally impressed. We will return of course...the standard 👏 , especially the 'CUISINE' its hallmark here, I would say....a rating A1 10/10. We’ve had a few disappointing meals at Cote recently which prompted me to write a review. We used to come 2 or 3 times a week on average but the quality of true ingredients has recently dropped. We had brunch on Wednesday and our poached eggs tasted watery, I left most of my plate untouched. The food has been dry, over cooked and the fries seem to have been replaced by a cheaper alternative. Unsure what happened to them but they need to sort it out quickly. Or bring Megan back, just saying!
