Delicious french cuisine with a few great vegan options. I loved the vegan beef bourguignon!

Our booking (a wedding celebration) was made before the recent refurbishment. The restaurant reopened the day before we attended and it was great! We were really looked after, the food was delicious and the happy couple received a lovely gift from the staff

We recently had a big family lunch at Cote Cambridge, to celebrate our legal wedding. The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic - they kindly decorated our table and gave us some lovely (and unexpected!) gifts. The manager was also very responsive via email, about the booking. Thank you for being a part of our day!

Absolutely loved Côte Cambridge. Had been there for Lunch and was delish! The service was really nice with friendly staff. Loved the starters and the mains. Would surely come again!

What a delightful surprise. Delicious parisian cuisine in the UK. I loved the scallops , french onion soup and salmon . I definitely recommend anyone in the area to definitely stop by for a wonderful meal. Service was remarkable. The Owner was on site to ensure all guests were well taken care of . My waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Very nice find .

A cosy French chain with incredibly friendly staff and great food. We all loved the fougasse and the beef cheek bourgignon and the duck confit. Service was attentive especially the wonderful Javier who helped make good menu and wine recommendations. Lovely decor, relaxed and good spacing between tables. Good value and very fresh food. Will definitely come again.

Had a great time at Côte, dinner to catch up with old friends. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overly intrusive. Food was delicious, only issue was a mushroom vegetarian dish order had been misheard as beef so one had to wait for their meal.

Fantastic restaurant, really enjoyed brunch here, the staff were lovely and the food was great. We had the pork belly on brioche with fried egg and the full English breakfast, all of which was really well seasoned and full of flavour. The price for the breakfast with a glass of juice and a coffee is great.

It is with the deepest of regrets that I feel compelled to commit these words to paper. Rarely have I found cause to offer such a blistering critique, for it is not my nature to speak ill of the efforts of others. Yet the profoundly unsatisfactory nature of my recent experience leaves me with little choice. While the culinary and libational offerings were passable, even adequate, the treatment of my personal effects was nothing short of egregious. The careless spilling of tomato juice upon my new traveling bag and charging cable was, I am certain, an unintended transgression. However, the subsequent handling of this mishap was woefully deficient. The application of dish soap in a crude attempt to scrub away the stain did little to remedy the situation, leaving behind persistent and unsightly blemishes. That the server failed to ensure the complete removal of the offending substance from the surrounding furnishings only compounded my distress, for I was left to contend with the risk of further soiling. I cannot help but wonder if the server's response would have been more considerate had the items in question been of a more premium provenance. Alas, though my recent acquisitions may not have borne illustrious brand names, they held deep personal significance. The gesture of waiving a modest dessert charge fell pitifully short of adequately compensating for the ruination of goods valued at over £100. As I labored to address the lingering odor and unsightly blemishes, the server passed me by on numerous occasions without offering further assistance. The protracted delay I endured upon checkout, with none deigning to attend to my needs, only served to compound my sense of frustration and disappointment. It is with a heavy heart that I now continue my travels bearing the indelible marks of this unpleasant experience. I can only implore that others take heed and exercise caution when bringing personal effects into this establishment, lest they suffer a similar fate. It is my fervent hope that the management will undertake a thorough review of their service protocols to ensure that no future patron is subjected to such an unfortunate encounter. **I sent email to them (2024.8.2) but no one reply.

It was ok, what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. It was a hot day, they had air conditioning and we were hungry.....staff were great though 👍🏼 not sure I'd rush back there....

We visited this restaurant for brunch and ordered Eggs Royale and yogurt with fruit from the breakfast menu. We were very pleased with the atmosphere and service. The waiter was very friendly and gave us many useful tips for tourists visiting Cambridge for the first time. We were very satisfied. The restaurant's location is very convenient, and the windows offer a great view of Cambridge streets and passersby."

We walked passed yesterday and my pregnant wife was struggling in the heat so I ran in to buy a bottle of water. I just wanted to say thank you to the lady who gave it free of charge as a kind gesture. Such a small thing but a great look for Cote. You've recruited a new brand ambassador as I've already told about 5 people of the kind gesture. I will defo be popping back in for a meal.

Very nice french restaurant. Very well served and decorated food. Although quite pricey. But other than that nothing bad to say. For the service,quality and location thumbs up.

We and my fiancé dined here on Thursday night. We originally booked for 730 but arrived at 630 and they more than happy to accommodate us early! The atmosphere was lovely! A beautiful building and really nice staff! We were well taken care of. However, the food portions were very underwhelming! The pan fried salmon was 18 quid and was eaten in 3 bites. My fiancé had the ratatouille..it's an interesting take on it but she wanted to give it a try. The sauce was very very bland...tasted like cheap passata. By the end of it...we were both still really hungry so we went to another place to get something more filling. A nice place but won't be back

Always good food here and enthusiastic staff make for a perfect venue. Shame about the birthday eclair as it was stale. Good offers and deals for Mon to Weds.

Love Cote Cambridge and recommend it as best breakfast destination in town! This visit I really appreciated that the manager checked in with us before we left to collect details about further perfecting his team’s excellence. Thank you to Cote for bucking the trend we’ve experienced post-Brexit in Cambridge towards poorer waiting service. Keep up your striving for perfection. We’ll be back!

We arrived at 13:40, ordered at 13:50. The starters came at 14:07, however the main courses were ready at 15:08. The dessert did not still appear with asking for two times. It is totally unacceptable.

We had a lovely lunch with you today, food was great, service was also lovely despite your poor staff having to deal with an incredibly rude customer. I understand he had an issue with his meal but the way he treated the wait staff and manager was appalling! They were apologetic for the problem and had taken a good chunk of his meal off of the bill but he insisted on shouting at them. Your staff handled the situation professionally and made sure other patrons had a nice lunch so please pass on our thanks.

Needed to find somewhere for dinner and tried here to see if there was any difference between Manchester and Cambridge. Amazing service and atmosphere. Very well looked after by Manager and staff. Food was exceptional and just what i wanted on my first visit to Cambridge. Very highly recommended.

The food was just ok, nothing special... portion size is rather small for the price. I visited with a few friends twice, and both times some of our orders got mixed up (poached eggs instead of scrambled, brown bread instead of white, etc. ) The staff were quite direct, repeatedly telling us we had to order ASAP or be done eating by certain time, even though they only needed the table back in 2 hours (which was plenty of time for us to eat, and we never planned to stay for the whole 2 hours anyway) We had multiple staff serving our tables, which would have been fine if they'd know what the other staff had done. We were asked the same questions multiple times by different people... whole experience just felt quite chaotic...

Went here for lunch today for the first time after looking forward to it all week. Unfortunately, I left very disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t at capacity, yet we were waiting for 40 minutes for our food. We were lucky because we were watching other tables who were waiting an hour for their food. The staff were friendly but inattentive and slow. Much of the time many of the female front of house staff were huddled together gossiping not paying attention to customers. The food was sadly average and the portions were small. I had an additional side and left hungry. As a positive they had a separate gluten free menu which I really appreciated. Probably wouldn’t visit again if there were other options available.

Really charmed by our experience here. Lovely friendly waitress, there was a 20 minute wait for our starters which was a bit trying but we didn't complain. In fairness it was a graduation day and they were super busy. When we came to pay they had deducted the entire cost of a 2 course meal from the bill because of the delay. We had really enjoyed the food when it came. A lovely place enhanced by charming staff plus nice views of John's College.

We have eaten at many Cotes around the country I got the impression we were on half rations. The restaurant didn't have the convivial surroundings that our local Cotes in Cirencester has. The food was of the same standard though. The Service was good and as always Cotes is quick to cater for my wife's gluten free diet. Perhaps this Cambridge location is very busy.

Toilets in a very poor state obviously never checked by staff. Service poor our main course arrived and the first hadn't been cleared. 2 waiters one holding the tray the other stood with nothing to do he muttered 'these should have been cleared' he then stood there while we collected the plates and put them on the next table. They then went to get cutlery as our food cooled. Food fine but not memorable except for chicken liver parfait, excellent.

Our first time to use this restaurant to celebrate 🍾 our friend's birthday. We were given a complimentary drink for all 9 of us and a complimentary dessert for the celebrant. Javier our service was friendly and attentive. Only comment I can add is if the management keep a check on their WC. Need to keep it constantly clean.

The whole experience was fantastic. The staff could not have been more attentive, the food was hot and tasty and the service was fantastic. The food was served at a relaxed pace. Overall a great eating experience.

Always loved going to Côte, our table was reserved for Father's day celebrations. And we were all looking forward to it. The order took a while to be taken and when we had our waiter approaching us, understandably busy, he insisted on taking drinks order first. Turns out that we couldn't order from brunch menu as we were too late. Reservation was for 1:45pm, order was taken after 2pm... Were WE late? We sat on time. Foodwise we had few starters that were absolutely delicious, but calamari were very disappointing to the point that we shared between us just to check how bad was it. Then we waited. A long time. My nephew cried as he was hungry. Embarrassing scene, however we checked time and we sat for 2 hours before any food arrived. With the main salmon portions were tini tiny and definitely not worthed the asked price. Burgers were so yum. These were for sure stars of the lunch. My daughter did not received her pasta. Even though we ordered it with the rest and neither of our waiters had mentioned that it had finished (2 hours in) for her only to find out when everyone else got their food apart from her. Staff was very apologetic and the manager had taken the matter in his hands and served her a portion of frites with mashed potatoes. Just wanted to mention that we had paid for the kids set menu, even though she received 2 side orders... what a joke... I feel as though we were taken advantage of as we were a big group and even though we were looked after by very lovely staff it was clear that we were not compensated by that of staff's mistakes.

Food was nice but very small portions especially main course. Desert was lovely but didn't quite make up for overall visit.

My wife and I sent in here to have a champagne breakfast. Not only did it take 45 minutes to come out, but it was cold. So we left here, extremely disappointed and hungry, as we left without eating or paying

Food was very good, offering a la carte or set 2 or 3 course menus. Prompt friendly service. Really felt like you were in france for a while.

This was the first time we had been to Cote and the food was excellent and good size servings. The staff were really good and attentive. The whole experience was good and I would recommend anybody to go and eat there.

I really like cote, I have only ever been for breakfast but on every occasion the food has been outstanding, the waiters are brilliant and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would recommend.

It wasn’t just one thing, but the accumulation of many. We had to hang around at the door while busy staff didn’t even acknowledge us, we had to ask for water twice, the soup was served without a spoon, soup was cold and had to be reheated, we had to ask twice for a wine order. Judging from our experience, staff are busy doing things twice.

The server was absolutely outstanding- he made our experience so wonderful. Sadly didn’t get his name!

We love to go to Cote, Cambridge, and we try to often, as we have always over the past 10 years received wonderful service and food. Unfortunately, we don’t like to complain or write negative reviews, but earlier this evening, we arrived at Cote for 6.30pm, only to find, once the maître d' could not find us on his system, that I had inadvertently booked us a table for the wrong evening. However, he kindly found us a table and to our delight by the window, in fact a usual seat for us. So far so very good. Regrettably, the waitress service was not as good as we have come to expect at Cote. Our waitress was very nice, took our drink and food order and asked when we would like our ‘for the table’ food brought out, prior to our starters, or with our starters. I said prior please. with a question mark, thinking that may be a problem and our waitress agreed that is what ‘for the table’ usually means. Unfortunately after ordering our drinks and food, we had to wait sometime for the tap water and sat with no drink at all for sometime, I had to ask where it was. Then the Charcuterie Board arrived with the starters, I explained that we had asked that the Charcuterie board be separate from the starters and we were disappointed in the fact, that we guessed our starters would probably be put under a light to keep warm while we ate our charcuterie board, so we rushed this and then our starters were brought out in a timely manner, but after taking a bite of the calamari it was evident that it had been under something to keep warm as the batter was over done so crispie it was almost disintegrating as I put a fork in, at no point during the starter did the waitress ask how the meal was, otherwise I would have said something. Our main took at least 20 mins to come out following the starters and when our waitress put the food down she did not apologise or mention the delay. The food was as it always is - lovely. The waitress did come back during us eating our mains and did ask us how it he mains were, we agreed, lovely. We then ordered one decaf cappuccino and the Apple Tart Tatin to share. The coffee came but I had finished my coffee by the time desert came out approx. 15-20 mins later from ordering the coffee and dessert. The table next to us also complained to the waitress how long they were waiting between courses and were asked if they wanted a complimentary drink on the house. Those people also lasked us if we had to wait, and we said yes, and that this was unusual but we both agreed that the waitress should have given us a ‘heads up’ and a rough delay time, which unfortunately she did not. The whole meal took over 2 hours for just two of us,, normally we would be out within an hour and quarter. It was just unfortunate we were left wondering throughout our meal when the next course was coming. A shame really, as it did dampen the evening for us.

The food is mediocre compared to what I was expecting. Pricy for what you get. But the staff was great and attentive.

I loved the food! Everything I ate was well cooked and delicious and I was spoilt for choice with the menu. The service was attentive and friendly. The only negative was that we were sat on a table which felt like it had been plonked in the walkway, this took away from ambience as the vibe felt very busy with the thoroughfare from the kitchen, however if we had been sat somewhere else this wouldn’t have been the case as the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was intimate and cosy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The food was tasty but portions were very small. £17 for a tiny fish pie with 3 pieces of fish and 3 Prawns was definitely a bit of a rip off, some sides of veg to accompany wouldn't go a miss either! I was still hungry afterwards. The staff and atmosphere was pleasant, just would be good to have some sides included on some meals to make it better value and actually filling

Celebrating 3 birthdays for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and a bottle of fizz on the house which was a lovely suprise. Service/food and atmosphere great, recommend!

The food portions were embarrassingly small... especially the tiny pot of chips that came with my steak! Food was tasty enough. Staff were very friendly. Seating and space was good. Simply put add more chips don't be tight! On a £15.95 steak frites meal plus £2.95 for pepper or similar sauce.

I was with children. Both they and I really liked it. Tasty, not very expensive, but the costs, as always, depend on you.

Went for breakfast, wasn't too busy and ordered food straight away. Think they forgot about us as our food arrived just as we was about to ask where it was. However it came with food for a table next to us who arrived at least 20 mins after we had ordered. We can't fault the food, and the staff where pleasant..just took a long time to arrive.

I booked a table for 1:45. They were extremely busy, and there was a delay in getting our table. We then waited 20 minutes and had to interrupt a waitress to order some drinks. Food arrived promptly and was really good, but we were then ignored again for the rest of the afternoon and kept having to interrupt the passing staff to ask for drinks, and the dessert menu, etc. Even though the restaurant was quiet by this time. We felt pretty invisible. Real shame about the lack of service as the food was excellent.

Our waitress Joana did a fantastic job as always! She's very attentive and always makes us feel very welcome and happy to see us. She's quick to respond and notices the details. This is one of our favourite restaurants 😍 great food, people and atmosphere 😋

The beef Bourguignon is seriously top-notch, and they've got an awesome lineup of wine and cocktails. Plus, those free welcome drinks? Such a cool surprise!

Either the staff are poorly trained or the system they work to is flawed. Waited 15 minutes for drinks to be served (one glass of red and tap water). While waiting I watched two of the waiting staff chatting as if they had nothing to do. Later our waitress took our empty water bottle but didn't replace it until I asked. A shame because I've eaten at Cotê Norwich, Cirencester, Barbican London and not had that experience. And why no fixed price menu at weekends? We'd have spent more!

If you're in Cambridge and want a light French lunch or dinner, I highly recommend it. It was delicious. It might be best to make a reservation for Saturday dinner.

Always reliable at Cote everywhere in Enhlabd.

Go quite regularly as good food, staff and surroundings. Can get quite busy at times but this just adds to the vibe. Been going for many years so something must be right!

All those who personally attended to us at our table were lovely and very accommodating when we asked for a particular table for four in the sunny window corner. Unfortunately there was a long wait for food and then one of us found what appeared to be a beard hair on the cheese on top of the burger. The waiting staff could see it clearly and were obviously apologetic and did not charge for that meal. They then brought a fresh meal. That experience with the hair / beard hair(?) however has put us off from ever going there again. I do want to emphasize that the lady greeting us and taking us to our table yesterday afternoon, was extremely professional and caring and the male waiters also. The kitchen probably needs a new head chef however.

Bit of a shambles on organisation, food is ok but not value for money, had a party organised for weeks but hours of waiting and just a mish mash of who got what and when just led to an uneasy feeling, probably ok just to go in groups of 2/4 people not party's.

I had the Tuna steak with salad and it was the most horrible dish I ever had. And no, I am not exaggerating. The lettuce was dry and old, one cherry tomato, one baby potato boiled and sliced, the tuna steak overcooked with a very very bitter sauce on top, while the overall dressing didn't exist. My partner had the steak which as well came overcooked and the overall presentation lacked, but at least it was more edible. Never to return and would not recommed.

While the calamari and mushroom bourguignon fell short of expectations, the atmosphere was unfortunately loud, detracting from the dining experience. However, amidst these disappointments, Musalina, our waitress, shone brightly. Her exceptional service and attentiveness turned what could have been a miserable visit into a much more pleasant one. Despite the culinary letdowns and noisy surroundings, Musalina's dedication and professionalism saved the day, leaving a positive impression despite the setbacks.

A return visit to this Cote confirmed it as a top choice. The food was outstanding and Musalina's attentive service enhanced the experience. Despite the lively atmosphere, the quality of both food and service ensures I'll be back again soon.

We were a large group (14) celebrating my father's 70th birthday. The staff were very helpful and attentive, catering to our needs, allergies and our youngest family members needs by bringing out her food early and providing colouring activities. We were also provided with a bottle of fizz and a birthday dessert for my father, both lovely touches that made it feel special. The food was delicious, everyone agreed. Thank you to everyone involved, we had a fabulous time and will be back again soon.

Although the service could have been faster, the food was really delicious, plus good value for money. My friend had mentioned my birthday when booking and it was an unexpectedly lovely touch to find a birthday message with my dessert.

Regardless of the place being busy, we were accommodated by the handsome and beautiful staff of this restaurant. Our food arrived on time even if it was packed with other customers. I'm glad I came across this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. I didn't go wrong on choosing this.

The Moules Frites was delicious, the sauce was so yummy everyone on the table wanted to dip their chips in. Brilliant selection of non alcoholic cocktails for the designated drivers, I would recommend the cassis spritz

Came in for a treat dinner whilst in Cambridge for the weekend. We’d heard of Cote as a brand, but neither of us had ever visited one before. We booked ahead, and were seated in a lovely corner booth at the side of the busy restaurant. Unfortunately, our waiter was far from attentive and professional, and we felt extremely judged for some of the questions we had about menu items and wine, to the point where he was almost sniggering at us. Once we’d received the food, it absolutely couldn’t be faulted, and we loved everything. The beef bourguignon was out of this world - the beef was soft and tender, the sauce was rich and I had a mountain of mashed potatoes to go with it. Overall, the food saved the experience and I’d visit a Cote again purely for this, but not THIS Cote just due to the service.
