Really sad to hear that this place is closing, still felt that I wanted to rate my experience even so. We went on Thursday and it was closing down in the Sunday. Special thanks to Alina who really took care of us and it was great to hear most of the staff are moving on to other venues. I look forward to visiting a new premises here should one open! Good luck to all the staff ❤️ As always the food and drinks were amazing and gluten free options were great.

We are very sorry to have dined here for the last time as the restaurant is closing. They say that they are looking for a new location and I hope that Cote will come back soon though I'm not holding my breath.

The reviews on here seem to be quite mixed, however, we went last Saturday night and had a wonderful experience! The food and service were all fantastic and the restaurant was busy so had a lovely atmosphere. Can highly recommend the warm chocolate pudding!

Disappointing. We went on a Saturday evening. Service was very good and the staff were lovely but unfortunately the food wasn't. Had the Boeuf Bourgignon and expected a real flavoursome dish as the menu stated it had been cooked for 5 hours but it really wasn't. The beef was very tender but it was served in a very watery bland tasteless sauce. It came with pommel puree which was nice and very firm carrots which needed cooking for a bit longer. We complained and the dish was knocked off the bill but were told there was no point in getting another one as it would only be exactly the same. We were aghast to discover that this particular dish is prepared off site and comes in a bag that the kitchen just opens and reheats! To be fair the staff offered to replace the dish with something else but I opted not to. We've been here before and was unlucky on that occasion too. Last time I had the chicken but it wasn't cooked properly and was pink near the bone. That dish was also taken off the bill too. Such a shame as this is a lovely restaurant but with two poor experiences I'm not sure I'd bother going again.

Pleasant experience visiting the restaurant. It was a birthday, which was indicated when booking, but there was no gesture or word from the restaurant, so it’s not entirely clear why they ask this when booking. The tuna steak was delicious, the sauce went well with all the ingredients.

Have had breakfast here many times. Today's experience was dreadful. Scrambled eggs not cooked, toast barely cooked, no sausages (they did not tell us that), potatoes burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. When I went upstairs, there seemed to be a rave going on in the Kitchen, loud dance music, people clapping and shouting. No wonder the food wasn't right. Used to get the breakfast, a drink and orange juice for a great price. Someone has clearly done a cost down on this.

Had a lovely lunch here today with a group of ladies (8 in total). Service was really good, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. All in all very enjoyable lunch.

Our first time dining at Côte but definitely not our last,and not disappointed at all. The three of us ate off the fixed price menu which was excellent value for money, all the menu's are on line and what was nice is that the food came out looking as good as the photos on the menu. It's well worth giving it a go.

My wife is very allergic to nuts, our waitress Alina made it the most enjoyable dining experience for us as soon as we got there she came to see us showed us the allergens and went through the menus. She was very helpful, she knew everything asked us about Epi pens and reassured us. Would highly recommend Cote and especially Alina!!

Friday lunchtime visit. Restaurant was busy but not full. Polite and friendly service. Tasty food. Very good value and high quality

We went specifically for the Wednesday steak soirée evening. No sirloin , no Côte du Boeuf, no bernaise sauce & on the main menu no sea bass !!!! What we eventually we choose was good. Good service. However, if you’re offering a steak soirée evening you expect the full steak menu!!

We went for breakfast, lovely welcome, and shown to our table. Menus came swiftly as did our coffee. Unfortunately our order was missed and we sat for quite a while. On realising the issue, the manager dealt with the situation swiftly and curiously. When the food came, it was delicious. Would recommend even though we had an issue.

The restaurant was full when we visited but we still had exceptionally good and personal service. We ate from the Prix Fixe menu, taking advantage of the extension of hours during January, and the value for money was excellent.

We visit when there is a decent offer on….. There - I said it !!!! Seriously, we visit monthly, there is always a good offer on if you subscribe to the newsletter - no connection, just like freebies. Busy this evening - table for two at 1915. Service was superb, very nice Gent greeting. Then handed off to our server who was brilliant. No pressure, relaxed service. Food was superb. My Duck was super tasty, her Steak was tender. Full - coffee plus, plus was stunning. Thank you crew - a fab night.

Always a great experience but the introduction of the Alpine menu is genius! The food was absolutely excellent - great flavours, thank you! We had a table booked for dinner as a treat for our anniversary. We were met by a waitress and told “ your table is over there” as she pointed to 3 empty tables. She then proceeded to do something else so we chose a table and after locating the coat stand disposed of our coats. After a few minutes the same waitress came to the table with menus and asked if we would like some drinks, I asked for a bottle of water while we decided what we would like. The water duly arrived and was plonked down on the table and the waitress was gone so I opened the bottle and pored the water. I had decided at this point there would be no service charge. My wife and I both ordered steak tartare which dully arrived along with a very large bottle of Worcestershire sauce. After 2 mouth fulls of steak we both gave up. It was full of gherkins and the meat was so fatty it was inedible. It was obviously a very cheap cut of beef that shouldn’t have been served as tartar. I spoke to the manager, explained what had happened and left the restaurant. We walked around the corner and sat down for a lovely meal. So service was abysmal and I am shocked that a chef would serve such poor food. Altogether awful !!

We booked at Côte for a group of 20 to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday and were not disappointed. The staff, food, service and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic and the menu and prices excellent. We will definitely be using this venue again in the future and would highly recommend it without hesitation. Thank you, Côte, and especially Eliana you were wonderful.

Had the New Years meal booked for months and was really looking forward to the experience. However the restaurant was crammed and the experience was not good. The cheese gougeres were flat like pancakes, and were were told they were all like that. The prawn thermidor sauce was curdled. Fries were given with the steak instead of triple cooked truffle chips and my main course of fish and mash was cold.

I was out with my friends for a xmas party and we had the most amazing experience with the food, drink and their service. We will definitely comeback again.

We went with friends for lunch and had a very pleasant meal. However, the highlight was our server, Kate, who was delightful. She listened to our requests and was extremely attentive throughout the meal.

We have been to many Cote restaurants over the last few years and have always enjoyed delicious food and great service. After our visit to the Harrogate Cote however we felt very disappointed. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated and served our starter and main quickly by the genuinely friendly staff. The food was great but after our mains were finished we were left with the plates in front of us for 45 minutes, even though at this point the restaurant was much quieter and staff were resetting tables for the next day. Several times members of staff came to stand behind the desk right in front of us but they had their back to us each time and didn’t make any attempt to clear our plates or offer us desert menus. We actually began to wonder if we had done something wrong. After 45 minutes a lady came over and apologised for our wait, offering us desert menus in a very friendly manner. We said we would have a dessert to finish off the evening positively, however after giving us menus she never returned and we saw her leaving to go home. This is obviously fine but nobody else came to take or order at any point. Because we had a 45 minute journey home, after waiting another 15-20 minutes we then decided just to ask for the bill. This was brought to us but nobody questioned why desert menus were still on the table. We left feeling ignored and puzzled as to why nobody bothered with us. We are genuinely very easy guests and always appreciate what the staff do and how busy they are. We never complain or make things difficult so this is quite an exception for us. We paid the service charge as we didn’t want the staff to feel we were being awkward or that we were being offensive towards them personally, especially as they seemed genuinely nice people. After much discussion on our way home however, we felt we needed to leave a review. We would definitely like to return, as we really like Cote, however the service system in place just didn’t seem to work and left us feeling ignored and isolated.

Just returned from a lovely meal here, made to feel very welcome. Chose the 3 course set menu and a drink for £24.00. 4 choices for each course. Service was very quick. Will return later in the week for the A la Carte.

We had a great evening meal here and the whole experience was much better than we expected. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to a table in the window, which was spacious and clean. The friendly service continued throughout as well as being professional. The menu has a wide enough range of food to suit most without being overbearing, and the drink options are equally as varied, with some more exclusive options for champagne at reasonable prices. The French onion soup starter was a good size and there were plenty of pieces of calamari with a tasty dip. The duck leg was presented well and the fish pie had a good amount of fish in, although it would perhaps have been better to swap the large prawns for smaller ones in order to get more of those in too. Service time was great with each dish tasting fresh. Champagne was presented with a bucket of ice and it was easy enough getting the attention of staff for refills of soft drinks. Deserts were presented as well as the mains, particularly the chocolate tart. It was especially nice to see some desert wines available on the menu which were served in good sizes. Toilets were upstairs and a bit of a trek but they were spacious and clean like everywhere else. Overall a very enjoyable evening experience and I will certainly be returning!

Stale atmosphere on a Sunday morning. Not a relaxed brunch kinda place so don’t go if that’s what you’re expecting. We ordered the vegan breakfast which sounded great. And to be fair, it tasted great but the hash brown was laughable - it was literally the size of a rubber. As in, the rectangular rubbers you used to have in your pencil case at school. And there was no vegan bacon either. When we asked where it was, it came 15 minutes later by which point we’d finished the breakfast. There was also no vegan butter that came with it and the pieces of sourdough were tiny. Really tasty but not enough of it. Portion sizes were tiny and the service was pretty poor. Left me feeling like I needed a nap.

Thank you so much Cote Harrogate team! You did a wonderful job of looking after our excitable party aged 60+ to 12 for my surprise birthday dinner. Everyone has been raving about the friendly, personable but super-efficient service and the delicious dishes we were keen to share. The way our guests were laughing, relaxing and demanding others to try their food was such a pure pleasure. The wine was top notch and we felt welcomed and comfortable as we celebrated together. Cote Harrogate was my favourite date place with my husband, but I’ve never considered it as a place for family until last week. It’s enormously satisfying to see how clean the restaurant and facilities are and how well the staff relate to each other as well as their guests. We will be back for any excuse now (sorry) x

Average. But one of those places that add their own tip/service charge to your bill which, of course, includes the drinks already marked up 200%. As they don't take cash, long gone have the days when you could just leave a five pound note as a tip at lunch time for the food.

It had been some time since I'd been to Cote, and this provided to be a very enjoyable evening. The staff were attentive and efficient throughout and very pleasant. Food was tasty and a good choice.

My wife and I visited last night for an early evening meal. We couldn't fault the experience at all. Food was delicious and portions were reasonable. We both had the chicken liver parfait for starters with some cheese choux buns to share (which were incredibly light). My wife had the mussels for her main and I had the fish stew. And we both had the almond cake for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Service was efficient (probably helped that we were there early of course as it did get a lot busier towards the end of our meal) and friendly. We both agreed that we'd like to come back another time to try some of the other things on the menu

A pleasant, well laid out restaurant with not particularly keen pricing, generous portions or great taste, for my palate. Lacking in atmosphere because it wasn't at all busy. Good waitress who was quick, smiling and helpful.

Very expensive food for the tiny portions was not happy with how perthetic it was wish I had taken a photo now. We were all still left hungry and the porched egg on the starter was meant to be soft and runny ours was like bullets will ever go here again. And I don't agree that they adds service charge on your bill!!! normally I would ask them to remove it and if I want to tip I will leave it? The only reason they got away with that was because we had a elderly couple with us Would not recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Cote Harrogate on many occasions, first before we get there parking is very easy, a definite plus. As always the welcome is warm and slick, our table is well placed and cosy, particularly with regard to our combined numbers. The menu, has been changed from time to time but remains tasty and varied and extremely authentic, very central France. Some great French specialties all very tasty and great value. There was something appropriate for every one of our four generations with our variety of tastes. The prices are very competitive and affordable especially in these days of high inflation. The wine list is also French based including some very tasty varietal wines also at affordable prices. The service is both slick and friendly with the staff spending sufficient time with us us at table. A really enjoyable experience for us all.

Lots of gluten free options. Very nice restaurant and friendly staff. Food was lovely (had a pork belly, chicken liver pate and creme brulee). Prices are reasonable. Toilets are a bit far away, but the disabled toilet is on the ground floor, so it's easily accessible. We were given free glass champagne, because it was my birthday. Would definitely recommend

Called to amend booking by 30mins Côte we’re very accommodating. My mum is disabled they placed my family in a great accessible spot in the restaurant. With lots of room . Maddie our server was very professional, attentive , welcoming .Her manager Charlotte helped with anything we needed as we had a issue with two of outer dishes but it was resolved. Both happy to help an made our meal more special to know we were being looked after very well , especially when the restaurant was full there level of service was fantastic! The food- we all had something different there was a set menu option an a la carte . Something for everyone . The set menu option 3 courses for £36 I think that was a absolute steal with the quality of food an the position sizes. Some of my family ordered off that menu I ordered off the a la carte, sirloin steak cooked to perfection , perfect portion size. I followed it with a amazing chocolate brownie with ice cream a staple dessert . Lots of options for drinks and wine list options, my over all experience is great every time I visit Côte I receive excellent service , excellent food and a excellent experience. Definitely recommend going 👌🏻👌🏻

Would say been on average about once every 6 months, last visit was disappointing. Veg had only had a quick dip in boiling water and was as raw as cooked. Complained about this, though must add they removed from the bill. Onion soup was delicious but a bowl full of cooked onions with very little liquid. Have on previous visit been served a toasted brioche burger bun that was actually black on one side. I know the food they serve here is lovely, just seems to be off par with those in the kitchen getting it cooked and served up right.
