Cote Brasserie - Chichester in Chichester

My friend and myself are both vegan and we had been recommended here for the mushroom bourguignon and it didn’t disappoint! We were both amazed at how tasty and delicious it was. We are so impressed we are already planning our next visit here. One of the best vegan meals we have ever had!

Chichester Cote is Excellent. Staff Friendly and Welcoming, Food Amazing and the price was Reasonable considering the Quality of the food. Calamari to start, Confit of Duck a lOrange and Cafe Gourmand for dessert. A Birthday lunch to remember for my daughter, Outstanding very high quality, definitely recommended. Thankyou Cassandra and Vicky you made this a very special Birthday and compliments to the Chef, cooked to Perfection👍👏😋

A very expensive experience for very poor food. The fillet steak was so old it tasted (and looked) truly awful - it must have been at the bottom of the freezer for years! One of our guests had the Rib Eye steak which was, apparently, like shoe leather. Do not order steaks at this restaurant. Our sever was very terse with taking our order and seemed to be on a race to be somewhere else despite the restaurant being less than a quarter full with three other server, despite being Friday in a very crowded city. When we received our food she did not come back to the table to check everything was OK and that we had everything we needed. She only asked if we needed more drinks when we had finished eating and she was clearing the plates. We were done with the place actually - did not order desserts or coffee. We did leave the 10% service charge out of courtesy - which unfortunately was not extended to us Definitely would not go there again.

An absolute disgrace. Whilst on the menu the dishes remain the same, the quality has been changed to keep prices down and the whole experience was not one that I will ever repeat. Very sad because it used to be a go-to place for consistency, interesting food and good service.

We had pre-booked. Excellent and speedy service, but very loud in here. Food was great - we all had a main and dessert. Great price, especially considering it's a quality restaurant. Would recommend this restaurant, just a shame it's so loud in there and that the toilets are quite a trek!

We came here before with the family to celebrate a graduation. This time we came back to celebrate our rather large (54th) wedding anniversary. Sadly we were disappointed. Both items my husband had did not come up to expectations. So many Mussels did not open, so we complained and were not charged for the meal. Unfortunately, what has been one of our favourite places to eat will not be visited by us in the future.

Good food. You know what to expect with Cote and it was fine. But a special thanks to Tony who was attentive well versed in the menu options and a good guy to have serving us

Difficult to get all 3 courses wrong, but they managed it. Poor attention from staff. The cheeseboard was an embarrassment - 4 tiny bits of cheese, not enough to fill a forkful! Perhaps because it was not a busy time?

Have used this restaurant for years but sadly on our last two visits there have been major issues with the state of the toilets. My concern is what are the kitchen like. Sadly will not visit again

Had a lovely meal to celebrate my birthday! Tony was fantastic! He over heard us toasting to my birthday and brought over some complimentary glasses of fizz which was wonderfull! The food was delicious and service impeccable! Particularly enjoyed the "quaffable" white wine! Will definitely be returning as it was perfect for a pre theatre meal! Thankyou!

We visited this restaurant a lot, in fact we were there last week. I can't say we will be in a rush to go back (if at all) after today. We may have been unlucky, but there was a catalogue of errors, we waited for some time for our breakfast, whilst those around us (who came in after us) received theirs. We had to ask where it was, we were told they would check with the kitchen, no one came back to tell us what was happening...so I had to get up and ask AGAIN and pointing out no one had told us. Apparently, our breakfast was given to someone else. Now, mistakes happen, but my point is that NO ONE came to keep us updated or communicate at all unless I went up and asked. THEN when It did come part of the order was incorrect and I have to say the standard of thr food and presentation was below par, it was greasy and looked like it has been thrown on the plate. I have told the person in front of the house (who said it was a new chef) that he needs to tell the chef the food was greasy and the spinach over wilted, etc. To be fair, they didn't charge us for our meal. Still, this is.NOT the standard we expect from Cote. We are unlikely to ever come back again.

My wife and I visited cote in Chichester for the third time in about a year. The first two visits were very good, this third visit, not so. The food was good on all three occasions and we like the ambience. For a chain restaurant it’s very good, but it’s very expensive - £140 for two people for two courses, with aperitifs plus a bottle of wine it is a bit steep. So I really object to being kept waiting at each stage of the meal - and to find that several items from the menu were not available. The staff are very nice, but just weren’t on the ball - weren’t looking to see where we were at, and missing us trying to attract attention. The restaurant wasn’t busy. To me, it seemed that what was lacking was a supervisory dimension. There seemed to be nobody directing the operation. That’s it. I can’t be doing with having to chase staff for attention. We won’t be going back in the foreseeable future.
