Cosy Corner Cafe in West Lothian

Placed and paid for an order online. They phoned and said they had ran out of crepes and asked if we could choose something else. We said we would phone back in 2 minutes as we wanted to quickly look at the menu. We phoned back 2 minutes and 30 seconds later and because we were over “2 minutes on the dot” they had cancelled our order. They started shouting at her over the phone and not letting her speak either. In addition to this we asked for our money back today and they said it “might be today might be another day”. We needed this money back to get food as me and my pregnant wife are starving with no food or money left now. My wife is pregnant and we don’t have a lot of money, we are quite poor unfortunately. So needing to wait to get our money back takes it toll because we aren’t as well of as other families and only treat our self’s once a month or on special occasions. I’m absolutely appalled at the customer service as my wife is pregnant and this is causing us a lot of stress financially and mentally.

We ordered online on uber eats the waffle looks amazing when it’s comes looks nothing like the photo is cold there is no beuno sacuce even tho it’s a “beuno waffle” the beuno was unfound. Food is dry and ass

Delivery was 30 mins late, however that is not a big issue put pizza deal come with a Pepsi can. I have not received a can…. Otherwise the food is very good quality

Absolutely awful late to deliver and no food has arrived as yet called them and they said it was on the way over half a hour ago called back to see what was happening and all calls have been ignored wouldn’t order from here ever again

Food was fresh, hot and tasty and good portion size. Decent value for money! Order was delayed but driver apologised profusely and was very polite! Happily order from here again!

Soup was very spicy. Wrap says it comes with cheese and chips but it does not. Pretty expensive for a plain wrap and some dry chicken tikka pieces. Asked for salad on the side expecting it was all coming in a box but I got a wee bag of salad lol kind of hard to eat like that.

Had gotten the wrong drinks, the dinner meat had tasted like it wasn’t fresh at all. The wrap seemed to look as if it was from Iceland. Horrible. The waffle which was meant to be a crepe was stale aswell. I would not order from here again I should have listened to the other bad reviews

the kebab was missing the breads so was just donner meat that was far too greasy. the pancakes with syrup were in a container at the top which then leaked over everything else so all other food had syrup on it. the curly fries were overfried and tasted just like grease.

Never turn up am really angry will not be going back

Just been to collect a breakfast box, I can honestly say it’s probably the dirtiest place I’ve ever collected food from in my life. The place is actually stinking and everything is just dirty. I wouldn’t take my money back, will never be back

Went in to get a full breakfast( working) and regret going in. Waited 20 mins for a breakfast, coffee and a cake. Couple behind me waited 15 mins just for 2 egg rolls. Poor show.

Thought I would try this cafe for a breakfast roll and a coffee but ended up regretting it. Ordered a sausage and haggis roll with brown sauce, ended up with just a square sausage on a roll with no haggis or sauce. Also nearly forgot my coffee until I mentioned it. Due to being in a hurry I was unable to wait for the mistake to be resolved, that being said it was literally just me in the cafe so not sure how it was difficult to remember. Paid full price before it was prepped and handed to me so won't be back unfortunately, I get cafes can be busy and stressful but I ran coffee shops for over 8 years and can honestly say it was as peaceful in there this morning as it is in a library in 2024 so not sure what the issue was in fulfilling my easy order.

food was alright but it was delivered so late i understand that you can be busy but the delivery guy didn’t even say sorry or hi basically just handed me the order without even asking for a code so it would be hilarious if he delivered it to a wrong house cause we wouldn’t even have that food since he didn’t care about the code honestly i wouldn’t even leave this review if the delivery guy had any manners????

This is the second time I have tried to order from here to try, first time the order got canceled and then stated it was then closed. this time I have ordered and the time for delivery kept changing on the app, called the restaurant for them to say it is on its way still waiting for the food to arrive, it’s been 2 hours late, won’t be using again, not happy

disappointed with my order. bacon was burnt got one breakfast with one and a half burnt sausages but the other had two burnt sausages. eggs were well over done. I could use the black pudding for a hockey puck. although the French toast was alright. all together it was a disappointing breakfast that left us unsatisfied had to figure something else out for breakfast. was totally not worth what we oaid

We received the items almost an hour and a half after ordering, and the food was both burnt and cold. It was barely edible and the person we spoke to on the phone was rude and dismissive

Breakfast was very tasty and hot, mushrooms were missing so bit gutted was looking forward to the mushrooms but was still a really good breakfast

chips In my hangover box where over done unediable, cheeseburger, chicken burger was lovely. 2 wraps where beautiful nicely cooked, 2 milkshakes the mint one was awfully watered down although other one strawberry ripple was told was nice enjoyable. Thank you

Ordered at 12:24, had to phone twice as order was marked as delivered at 13:30… order didn’t show up until 14:24, TWO HOURS after ordering. Arrived cold, dry and completely inedible. Would have been fine if they said they were really busy or something but biggest “could not care” attitude on the phone.

The whole order had to go in the bin.it was just grease and all soggy from sitting in the box or bag to long before being delivered.the only part of the whole order was the latte and even that wasn't that good.

Order was over an hour late and soup was freezing cold. Chips were soggy. Curry sauce was spilt all over the bag covering my juice and other items. Disgrace

Had to nip out for 5 while the food was on its way, put a box outside with a note to just leave it in the box and the lovely delivery driver put it in the box and closed it and left afew rocks on top just to be safe, appreciated it and the food was amazing!

My husband had to leave to travel to Perth, meaning we wasted money of food. We ordered this at 11.43am. It should not have taken over an hour for this to arrive and a waste of money for 2 of the rolls!!! I would like a refund!!!

Rolls, shake, and cake were all great. Warm cookie dough was more of a cookie and was so well baked it was a cookie, not dough, and was so stuck to the baking paper I lost about a quarter of it. Taste was great, just a bit disappointing to have lost so much and it be baked past the point of dough.

The food was cold, and bacon was like leather. Ordered 4 items only received 2. Called the cafe poor customer service.

Food asper is awesome as uno black pudding isn't a good food to eat but the block pudding outa here is awesomely tasty witch speaks for its self if the black pudding us a good in then the whole jobs. Good yin.

Great cafe staff have always been polite and gone above and beyond when I've ordered from there. Also iced mocha with vanilla syrup is recommended I love it :)

Got a breakfast. Delivered in small pizza box. Toast soggy and breakfast cold. Disappointed but understand it was cold as no tinfoil or in hot hold bag. Won’t buy from again or recommend

Great little cafe. Lovely range of food, desserts and drinks with ample veggie options, all freshly prepared and cooked as per request. All items are priced very reasonably. Staff is always friendly and engaging which creates a welcoming atmosphere. It is the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast or lunch on a busy day!

Food was good, cookie dough was really good and we enjoyed it. Good size portions as well, but delivery driver seriously let you down......

Half my order was missing was then told from delivery driver another driver was on there way, with the rest and never came and shop closed half hour later

I've had several orders from this restaurant now and every time both myself and my partner have thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food has been fresh, hot, and delivered quickly. We will continue to order food from here and would encourage others to try there food too.

Sorry guys but the baguette was bare bread and still frozen (so obvs it was in the freezer, tasted of freezer burn) not edible! Coffee was the best coffee I've ever had and soup was perfect,
