Premier Inn Livingston (M8, Jct3) hotel in West Lothian

Yes, the hotel decor is tired compared to other Premier Inns as other reviewers have stated, however, the place is still great. The location was perfect for me, and there's a 24 hour BP across the road. The room was massive and clean. And the staff was absolutely brilliant, especially the woman in the morning of 23rd March with the glasses and the lady who checked me in 22nd. A real asset to the hotel! The restaurant next door is good too with lovely staff. My only complaint - which I always complain about regarding Premier Inn - is the slow Wi-Fi in order to get you to pay for the Premium. It's 2025. Just up your prices instead :-)

A great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very quiet. You can't hear any road noise at all. I felt safe and happy here as a woman in my own

Meals not very good steak tough service slow

I will not recommend this hotel. Hallway carpets are old and dirty. The floor of the room i had was uneven and bumpy. Terrible place. Staff were ok.

Lovely place ideally suited for our needs staff in hotel and restaurant where absolutely brilliant can't fault it and the price was great also

Wow what dirty dated place. It was like staying at my Grannies that has passed! In serious need of a refurb. Floor creak dirt around the door handles, heating isn't central heating or Air con. Sorry but no future business until any updates

Have stayed here many times recently stayed and on Boxing Day had a lovely meal with my family couldn’t have been better looked after by Andrea, great service also all other staff again made the stay a pleasant experience thanks again

Rooms need updating they feel like a 1980s motel room. Everything else about this hotel is brilliant staff and the restaurant as well as parking.

Hotel was fantastic shower was a bit low on wall but apart from that it was an amazing stay.

Very tired hotel. Not what I would expect from Premier Inn. Needs a refurb. The first room I was given, smelt of cigarette smoke. Complained and was given another room. Convenient location but noise from the motorway is intrusive. Staff in adjacent Beefeater pub were very attentive. Food was average though.

Of course you can hear the street at night, but it was still fine. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

What can I say, the eighties kept calling to get the hotel back. Just because it was off the motorway was not a reason to not bother with customer service or cleanliness. The room looked like it had been assaulted, the staff were very uninterested in the customer, we arrived at 9pm after the flight had been delayed and all I wanted was a meal, I was told that they stopped serving food at 9pm, now, considering it was 9.05pm when I asked, had the kitchen staff been turned off with the kitchen equipment? No empathy or customer service, not alternative offered, just an uninterested receptionist saying she'll credit the account, great, love a bit of account crediting to fill me up. I also decided after a long day to go for a drink at 10:25, only to be told bluntly "we are closed" as a member of staff reluctantly mopped the floor, the irony was a sign in the bar saying we are open until the cows go home............this cow was thirsty and not ready to go home. The litter surrounding the hotel which was thrown on the ground by patrons, next to a bin I may add was disgusting, along with glasses on the outside tables which were there the whole time I stayed (2 days). Again, the irony was that there were 3 members of staff at the time who didn't even consider tidying up, they were all sat behind reception shuffling paperwork. The breakfast was awful, dry mushrooms, sticky black pudding which resembled a sponge, snotty eggs and very very dry toast. It was as if no one cared at all. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

They didn't make our room and it is too far to visit Edinburgh

A disaster of a hotel, everything bad, bad room, worse service, they don't do room service, inedible food, very bad situation, I don't advise anyone to stay in this hotel

We had an accessible room, really close to reception and the beefeater. Room extremely outdated but very, very clean. Bed was very low and very soft, premier inn's normally have great beds!! Food, awful, cold chips and cold chicken,steak like rubber! Needs a good old Refurb! Breakfast was awful, cold bacon and eggs. Staff were lovely but definitely won't be back.

The menu was difficult to negotiate. You have to choose all 3 courses of the kids meal for the order to be accepted but we didn't want any starter so the food was wasted. The food was good but service was slow. Hard to catch a waiters eye. Didn't stay at hotel, just ate.

I visit here often with my daughter and granddaughter. We go for breakfast and it is always a great experience. Staff are attentive, food is very good. My granddaughter especially likes our visits and gets excited knowing we are going there to eat.

My room was a little dated. I didn't have any power sockets next to the bed side, so I couldn't charge my phone while laying in bed.

Comfortable rooms, very good breakfast.

We booked the hotel for a night before a 4am flight from Edinburgh (We're from Newcastle) and it was great. Really happy with the room and the sleep we all got was incredible. My 2 boys are 3 and 4 and the 3 year old barely lasts 2 hours in his own bed or bed with his brother. He slept through until our 4am alarm in his own bed pushed up against his brother's bed. Score 4 for cleanliness as could see a cobwebs hanging down, looked like it was tried to be cleaned the way it hung but it didn't bother us, didn't make the room feel dirty or not cleaned. Loved the shower too, amazing shower. If we fly from Edinburgh again we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. The price for what we got and the distance and ease from the airport, very happy.

Only issue's were the shower/bath, fixed head on the shower riser rail, and low for someone of my height, and the rooms looked a bit dated Staff were excellent within the hotel
