I ordered a black Americano and the drink arrived with milk. I have a milk allergy. This could have made me very ill. Please make sure you get the orders right.

This morning went to Costa to get a drink asked what was the Christmas coffees were and the person on drive thru rudely said latte or chocolate as we drove around to the window she was so snotty towards myself and my partner and basically threw out food and drinks at us customer service was absolutely shocking. And her attitude was disgusting.

Usually Costa is amazing when we stop at a services but this experience today was just awful, my panini was overcooked and had been stuffed in the takeaway box with no care and fell apart on opening, the hot chocolate was terrible, one of the worst I have had, tasted like the milk was off and my partners cappuccino had a funny taste too. Very disappointed, would have complained on site but was in a rush.

This is my local Costa and I love it! Yes, they are short staffed and this sometimes means the place is a little messy, BUT the staff are always super friendly and polite and the coffee is the best. Just today we've been served by Ella, who was above and beyond helpful. Well done guys.

As usual, the coffee is always as good as you expect, and that’s fine, but this outlet is a mess. The staff are friendly but seem oblivious to the chaos across the seating inside: tables overflowing with discarded cups and wrappers, the carpet ingrained with food and the rubbish collection trolly abandoned in front of the counter for sugar and utensils. It doesn’t make for a pleasant visit.

Costa never fails to bring a smile to my face, I have been a highly frequent costa drinker for many years now and I have never once had a bad experience. I also recommend the coconut hot chocolate to anyone who wants to spice things up a little.

I am a frequent visitor to Costa.The last 2 visits to Taunton Hankridge have been incredibly poor.Last week I ordered a Frostino with no coffee from the drive through. On tasting my drink it was very evident that it had coffee in it. I drove back round only to be told, ‘I made it and I didn’t put coffee in it’. I explained that I didn’t like coffee and without doubt coffee was in the Frostino. I was advised another would be made and the colour compared.... there was the answer the one that did contain coffee, it was much darker. No apology!Today we ordered 2 x Frostino’s. They are both so awful they have ended up in the bin. The drinks are both full of lumps of ice and the only way to consume them is with a spoon!! Thank goodness for the Wellington drive through where customer service and food quality is always a high priority. Also yet again the points machine is not working...... come on Costa, sort out your Hankridge store.

I expected to wait to be served due to Covid19. However, I couldn't believe my eyes at how disorganised this Cafe is. I wait 15 minutes whilst the Cashier looked for a card to charge customer for a large and ended up charging for a Medium. It was like watching a farce, it would have been laughable but for the fact I was working and my patience was wearing thin.

Stopped for cup of coffee.. Every thing extremely clean. Tables self distant . Pleasant young staff who politely ask for, Track and Trace ID. Enjoyed visit and felt safe re COVID-19.

I had ordered few latte's and once drunk them I became sick and when I called them to complain they admitted they had only just cleaned machine so chemicals could be in my drinks I was absolutely disgusted and I said never again will I use costa

Called in to pick up a coffee mid-morning. Slightly surprised to see the drive through has a short queue, only 2 cars in front. Ordered regular cappuccino. Payment was all done contactless. The delivery of coffee is very good. They have a tray system folded out with your coffee and that extend sufficiently so that you can pick the cups up from the car seat.Coffee is, as expected, decent enough. Staff is polite throughout.

On my most recent visit. It was twenty to 10 at night, they are due to close. There was no one seated in, I thought it was closed and thought I’d chance to see if I could still get a costa. Pulled up to order in the drive thru, the woman working was sighing and sounded extremely annoyed because from the view it looked like that had a cleaned and packed up and ready too close. Approach the window to collect. The woman was absolutely disgustingly rude. I asked for two extra brownies she threw them down on the counter and said there’s your brownies. I did say to woman they is no reason to be so rude. The young chap working with her did apologise and he was polite. when always visiting my partner will ask what iced drinks do they have on at the time, they always sound so rude like they can’t be bothered to mention a few flavours. It’s there job to help and serve customers and also possibly to recommend a drink to a customer. The staff at this branch really need to work on there customer service skills. and very much need to adapt on the sound of there voice instead of sounding So miserable.

En-route back to Berkshire and needed a break. Found this Costa via the app as I didn’t want to drive into Taunton or stop at motorway services this seemed ideal!This Costa certainly fitted the bill - out of town, located in small shopping centre (mostly sheds) plenty of car parking and a pleasant spacious seating area - there were lots of seats and tables on the external patio area as well.Pleasant barista, who tried his best to make our cappuccino’s dry (lots don’t even bother trying!)Leaving the area by car was tiresome - very heavy traffic - but there were what looked like road improvement works - so it’s probably been an issue for some time!

Staff constantly messing around and on phones even though it’s busy with people waiting to be served. Won’t hurry back young lad aged 20-25 was so unbelievably rude! Think his name was Glen? Not many sandwiches out at lunchtime and the cakes all looked messy like they had been chucked on the display tables were mainly all dirty still and no napkins or sugar had to ask for it twice by the time I got my sugar my drink was cold. Partner complained twice but no action was taken not even a sorry!

Well staff clearly shattered no smile although the guy who served me was lovely. The girl doing the coffee/ tea looked really stressed and was not very friendly. I had the breakfast veggie pot and skinny flat white for the least amount of calories not a place to visit if your slimming. They did show how many calories were in each cake and they were horrendousPlace itself clean and tidy. Only went as I was desperate. Won’t hurry back !

Excellent spot for a Costa right in the middle of out of town shopping. Always a pleasant experience, well run and relaxing.

Espresso coffee looked awful, shots coming through in a few seconds - decided against a cappuccino! Lots of staff standing around doing very little yet it took ages to be served despite buying just two chicken wraps (dry) and a couple of fizzy drinks. Won’t be going back!

Why ? How frustrating is it to queue up, get your drinks and cant find a seat due to the table hogging laptop users who spend the day in there.... well.. this costa has ample seating, more than most and ive never struggled to find a seat..

We visit Costa quite often, it is always a friendly relaxed place.There are news papers to read,friendly staff that go out of their way to help,efficient service with a friendly smile. Clean and great atmosphere.

Ideal location for those not wishing to go into town - and easy from the M5 too. Probably a better stop than the services for only a few minutes detour. Sometimes they can be busy but the staff seem to cope well. For Costa, I think this is one of the better ones.

I meet here every few months with friends as it’s easy for us to get to as we both have to travel from other ends of the motorway. In the last year I have been to this costa maybe 6 times. I myself have worked at a costa before so I know the standards that should be given to customers and let me assure you they don’t give them to you here! Every single time my order has been wrong to what I’ve asked for and then I get told by the barrista well it’s on the receipt so it’s right. No sorry about that let me change it now for you. Coffee is always Luke warm which I wouldn’t be so fussed about if I didn’t ask for extra hot every time. Food comes out either burnt or undercooked. I’ve only ever had 1 polite member of staff great me.

I am seriously considering not going into Costa any more as most of them are so cold inside that everyone inside this one at Taunton are sat with coats and scarfs on and even tho its quite chilly this morning I think it's warmer to sit outside. Its one thing to have heating off but to have cold air blasting out the air çonditioning units at you is not a pleasant environment at all.

Standard Costa, with the usual range of coffee and snacks - my carrot cake was both moist and tasty.

Was really impressed at the quick service when using the drive thru, enjoyed my hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

Like many of the costas in Taunton, there is a slowness in clearing the tables and some self bussing becomes necessary

nice enough staff on minimal wages meaning lack of enthusiasm to go the extra mile resulting in mediocre at best service. you will have to clear your own table as you do in most costas in the UK - nowhere in Europe do you clean your own table and now shareholders don't want you to have a serviets to do this job. Costa Slobby more like!

We stopped for a coffee, very busy inside and with the drive thru, tables were not cleared as quickly as they could have been, even though busy, there was still a good selection of cakes etc

Several times I have fancied a nice coffee while shopping at the Hankridge retail park but when I tried to get one at Costa I could see it would take too long to be served and gave up

Had our usual flat white and pannii. The flat whites were well made and the panini is always reliable.

No matter when you arrive here there are dirty pots on the table, nobody wipes the tables clean! The trays are discusting l would not use one, they all need a good wash. The toasted sandwiches are stopped on the plate, no finesse, no napkin and no knives.

Been here a few times and always find the laptop clad table cloggers with one coffee are seated for the day meaning you struggle to get a seat..

Been using this costa ever since it opened its doors used to be great but in the last six months has fallen apart the staff disjointed the general cleanliness of the public areas not great and seems the service has also dropped .I use many costa outlets throughout the south west and this one is not getting any better ..Time to move Whitbread need to look at this site and fast .....

always when i come here its always busy and they know how to handle the crowd, never an issue and now christmas is coming ill be coming back to try the yummy christmas drinks and cakes

I really love a costa . In particular skinny flat white. I set costa taste and quality very high and rarely do other establishments match the quality. Price is reasonable too. Have one at least 3 times a week. Sometimes due to its popularity you have to wait in the drive through. Of late much improved .

Excellent service 99% of the time. Tiny issue recently with colleagues not knowing how to put through e-vouchers

went threw the drive throu didn't get the order right so had to wait for them to get it right and extremely over priced for what i paid for

Damien at this drive through wins the accolade of making the worst costa coffee we have ever had. Had it not been drive through we would have asked to have them remade however we did not have that luxury! Think machines were not set correctly as it tasted like water more than coffee

We stopped for a coffee as we had never had a Costa. It was really nice coffee and just loved the chocolate muffin.

Regardless of your refreshment requirement, Costa have it all.. On this sweltering day a nip into this costa i was met with amazingly fresh cool air from their air con.. Friendly staff soon sorted out my ice cold mango and passionfruit cooler. I didnt intend sitting in but the lovely cool air within the shop persuaded me. Well done costa for meeting everyones needs and with great staff too

As we are only visitors to Taunton, we were rather surprised to find this new Costa coffee at the retail park. Surprised, but glad. To us, this coffee shop looks space age. Nothing wrong with that at all. The coffee and food is exactly the same as other Costa coffee houses, so we knew what to expect. The staff were efficient ,so we were not kept waiting for any longer than need be. With free parking, there is nothing to dislike at all.

Plenty of free parking as it is on a retail park.Can get a little noisy and it is often busy.But apart from that no complaints :)

Stopped here three times lately, twice in Feb & once in March.Eat in was great.First drive through was fine.First takeaway was awful!Didn't check my cappuccino till I took a sip a few miles away! The company was half empty & it was so strong I couldn't drink it!

Didn't need anything further than good quick service, friendly staff and a good coffee. I have been to this costa drive through many times and it continues to be consistant in all three things I have mentioned.

Coffee is same as any other Costa, but service is always very slow. Parking always available as part of large industrial park.

Had some of the worst coffees ever at this establishment, which has a restaurant as well as being a drive through.Our lattes were virtually tasteless and we left more than three quarters, which nobody seemed to notice. Restaurant is poorly laid out and very difficult for the disabled or people with children to get around.

Listen, no one in Europe is drinking this kind of stuff regularly. Milky coffee is a breakfast thing, never drunk during the day in France or Italy and dubbed "wrong coffee" in the Netherlands. However, there is clearly a market for this kind of place in the UK and US which traditionally drank watery drip coffee. It is annoying, however, that chains like this do not use their influence to raise standards of quality in coffee. The same of the food served. It's all about cutting corners and hiding ordinary beans under syrups, sugars and cream - all of which disguise the fact the coffee cannot stand alone. Sandwiches are either overly refrigerated, toasties are rubbery, muffins stick determinedly to the roof of one's mouth. Service is haphazard, slow and tables are not cleared fast enough. What are we paying for if it isn't quality or speed? I'd say that we are all a little deluded in believing that we are part of some cool coffee culture hailing from Europe or America. Better to return to our own culture and do it well - after all most of us cannot remember the time when we received a properly brewed, full flavoured pot of tea in a cafe. We have been conditioned to accept a weak teabag in a pot which hold two cups. Costa serves this along with its equivalent coffee. A sad state of affairs and we deserved better.

Unfortunately I have noticed low standards in a few of your drive thru's. This one for example, did not time the coffee input of my cortardo, over heated the milk and did not remove milk from the jug so ending up with frothed milk.

Costa is of course great coffee - in fact I don't say as I'm sure many do too 'let's grab a coffee' I say, 'let's grab a costa'. It was great when this Costa opened - ideal for trips onto motorway etc ... however the queues are pretty awful and once your in it there's a risk of getting stuck! Also the traffic line for those in queue can mean difficulty for other drivers pulling out of their car space.

I like to get a drive through and I'm always disappointed I can't get a large skinny flat white they just don't make them so it's always a small one . When your dieting this is all you can have everything else way to fattening . I suggest Costa sort this out and cater more for us watching our weight .

I love my Costa coffee wherever I go in England, the only problem I have is with the service at the Taunton drive through , your treated like robots no compassion or friendliness, I spend a lot at Costa and think they should take a leaf out of .Mac Donald's book who are extremely polite

Lovely Costa drive thru and cafe. Always friendly staff and always clean and tidy. Always enjoyed meeting friends here for coffee. Only negative is that it's popular and as such you can wait a while to be served but it's totally worth it.

my tea was cold along with my mozzarella, pesto and tomato baget. there was also no pesto in the baget

I visit approx once a month with friends for a catch up. It is always busy therefore sometime quite noisy but it's always well socked and staff are pleasent and friendly

Quick coffee stop with my partner and child. I had a cappuccino my son had an innocent smoothly and my partner had a hot chocolate. Very friendly staff, clean tables and a good brew

After arriving at the drive through yesterday to grab a quick coffee with my Mum, I asked for my usual 'Iced Caramel Macchiato'. I quickly released that i normally ordered this from my local Starbucks and that Costa didn't actually have it on their menu. Feeling slightly embarrassed I asked if this was ok and a very helpful barista named Luke said that he'd never made it before, but that he would try! And i have to say it was the best Iced Macchiato i've had (better than Starbucks!).

I am a big Costa fan and have a points loyalty card that has racked up some numbers of the past couple of years. I love the coffee, the hot chocolate, the Christmas mice Pies, the egg sandwiches and the toasted range of products.What I hate about Costa is the time it takes to make the drinks. It is not unusual to wait 13-15 minutes when they are busy and if they are that popular get another machine installed and get them working. This is NOT 'fast food' when you just want a coffee.

If you like queuing inside or outside the drive thru.........this is the place for you. Standing watching the staff stand around not working as a team ,while customers walk off ,then to be given something that might have froth. Over the last month this is getting worse . Shame it was nice once

Having had an appalling meal at Pizza Hut, we swiftly departed for coffee at Costa. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who made me a perfect flat white. We were then offered a muffin by a lovely staff member. All in all a very good experience.

Service is always so very slow and usually tables are dirty which is a real shame as the drinks are usually ok.

First time that I've tried their "premium" beans and the coffee went from awful to poor, so an improvement! But for a medium cappuccino, it had far too much milk and it was made by the manager of all people. As a consequence the premium bean taste was completely diluted by milk. I wouldn't go back for the coffee. I only came here to be sociable. I recommend you either avoid or use it as a meeting point...until a better coffee franchise is invented.

Very good. Fast service and all the quality service whilst sat in the car. Staff were excellent. The mango smoothy was amazing as usual will definately be going here if one local to me gets made.

After a slightly fraught shopping trip with my husband I promised him a coffee. As we were so close to Costas drive through I thought we would give it a go. We didn't use the drive through, we headed into a cosy, comfortable coffee shop. The staff, as usual were polite and efficient, coffee delicious, coffee and walnut cake moist and tasty. There are plenty of seats, some at tables also sofas to relax on, and outside seating, although with only views of the car park, these are probably for smokers. Overall a very good experience, and considering the amount of people who came in and out while we were there, a very popular edition to Hankridge farm.

Nice place. Open and full of light. Doesn't feel overcrowded which is always a no no for me.Can have a friendly chat with staff and of course the most important thing is good coffee.

A Costa is a Costa wherever it is........can't understand people commenting about lack of atmosphere- it's a chain. It's like commenting on the atmosphere in a macdonalds or tescos.......The staff are always very friendly regardless of the time of day, great opening hours- especially on a Sunday!

It's a coffee shop in a car park. It was hot, noisy, crowded. There are so many places to buy a great coffee, and anyone who chooses to buy one in a place that offers views of Homebase deserves all they get.

Fantastic idea and so close to the motorway. Good that it's open until 9pm. Great service with friendly staff. Great food and drinks. Nice mini muffins!!!!!!!

Sat in to drink. Purpose built so lacks atmosphere but staff very friendly and product quality fine. Handy too! Staying open an hour later would be good.
