Costa Pynes Hill in Exeter

Met a friend for coffee. We went back for seconds and had breakfast baps. Turned out to be a very expensive visit having to pay £60 parking fine for going 13 minutes over a measly 90 minute parking allowance that was not well signposted. I thought it was quieter than previous visits, now I know why. Won't be going back.

It seems most of the negative reviews are about car parking. Can’t comment on that as we walk there. The staff are invariably friendly and efficient and clearly work hard in what is a busy environment. The coffee is very good and the food ok. They keep on top of clearing the tables.

The coffee was weak not usual Costa coffee. I had a sandwich my wife had a chocolate twist first one under cooked replacement was not fresh. All in all very disappointing

We were very disappointed on this occasion as we will very likely get a £100 fine as we met friends, had several drinks and stayed for 2 1/2 hours. Upon leaving someone pointed at a sign, very high up a post stating 90 min max, stay and you need to register your car inside. When we ordered our orders we were busy talking to the assistant so we did not notice the very small screen inside, to register your car on arrival either. The sign-In screen should be right next to the entry as well as that we feel the car park sign should be eye level and not high up a post. I will never go to Costa coffee again!

Met a friend for coffee and got a fine for parking (apparently a 90m limit) - most annoyed because we waited 20mi ures to get our drinks which is what pushed us over the time!

Met a friend for a coffee/Tea between Xmas and New year . Did not pay attention to the 1.5 hours free parking or the time that has passed and received a whopping £100.00 parking ticket over by 23 minutes of very expensive cup of Tea. This is an excessive fine.

Cuppa tea and a slice of parking fine. Four of us visited for breakfast and two rounds of coffees. A couple of weeks later, we receive a £100 parking fine for overstaying our welcome. Poorly advertised parking time limits, and nowhere to purchase a parking ticket anyway, just 90 mins free. It's not like you can park here and go anywhere else. There are no other facilities anywhere nearby. Seems like Costa doesn't want repeat business. Off to the competition next time!

Avoid unless you want a £100 fine!! Avoid this coffee shop, You cannot really walk too as it is on a business park but it has a poorly advertised 90minute limit. By the time you’ve ordered and sat and had a catch up it’s cost you £100. Costa not interested in sorting this ridiculous situation out. I’ll go somewhere else!

£100 PARKING FINE for parking for more than an hour and a half. I didn’t even look for cameras or notices. I was just catching up with a friend over coffee. Turns out THE MOST EXPENSIVE COFFEE EVER !

Not sufficient parking time. I would regularly go here for its convenient location for business and social meetings. However I received £100 fine for staying an additional 17 minutes over the 1.5 hour maximum. I wouldn’t recommend on the basis of the tight parking restrictions as once you factor in finding a parking space, queuing and waiting for your order, you’re not left with much time to sit and eat/drink. Such a shame as the staff are lovely.
