Before going to my appointment we both had coffee and I had a bite 2 eat. My croissant was amazing probably the best ever, my coffee was a little 2 hot but that was probably me, staff where really friendly and very quick really enjoyed ourselves and if I am the hospital again definitely pop in

Such a welcome break from the ward. Feels like I'm not in hospital - but in a normal coffee shop environment, Staff are lovely - service is excellent. I really hope it moves over to the new hospital when it's ready !

Requested a Cortado. So called Barista advised me that as it was in a paper cup (no option) which was slightly larger than the usual glass beaker it would only be half full. He then “dumped” semi warm milk from an existing jug into the cup which I presume had coffee in. No care taken on preparation at all resulted in the worse cortado ever. Not the first sub standard drink I’ve had in this Costa but certainly the last.

Tomé un trago y un pastel, visité para consultas y pruebas, conocí a personas con las que estuve en el hospital. Es deprimente. La esclavitud es oscura, opresiva. Pobre café.

Well stocked as every Costa. Good cofee and plenty of food on offer. Comfortable enough even though within a hospital. Pleasant staff. When in Aintree give it a call.

Occasionally pop into the Costa during a short break at work for a hot drink and 50% of the time my order has been wrong - sometimes even twice. The staff are always friendly however, and it's always clean. There's a good atmosphere for patients, relatives and staff to unwind away from clinical surroundings.

Had a drink and cake, visiting for consultation and tests, couldn’t leave premises because of time constraints. It’s depressing. Poor coffee. Only redeeming features are the slush coolers in funky fruit flavours.

Much the same as any other Costa - coffee is fairly alright although price is higher than other Costa franchises. Handy if you need to burn some time before or after an appointment as there's a comfy place to sit and they have newspapers

Arrived early for appointment in the Gastrointestinal clinic so decided to have a coffee until time of appointment. We both had a cappuccino each, delish. It was busy but we were served quickly by friendly staff.

1 don't understand this fetish with American style coffee. There is a better, volunteer run, cafe on the ground floor. Inside it's dark and dingy. There are seats on the concourse with a view of the Chinese all you can eat buffet restaurant, Greggs, Tesco Express, and other non healthy buying or eating options on Prescott Street. Even better you can watch other patients in their dressing gown, sitting on wheel chairs, dragging oxygen cylinders around, smoking outside the main entrance. So not much changed from my October review, except I didn’t have coffee, I had melon and coconut slush. Mmmmmm

A perfect Costa just as good as all the others. Lovely smiling staff and the usual standard of Costa coffee and food . Very comfortable and quiet - you would not believe you were in a busy hospital - well done

I staggered down from the 7th floor. First time off the ward in 5 weeks. The coffee is awful, synthetic, sold in buckets, expensive. The food is little better ( but not sold in buckets ). Having had a few visits to Liverpool Royal. A coffee break at Costa Coffee then sit in the Mezzanine overlooking the entrance to the hospital and watch the world go by. Not the cheapest coffee but good.

Staff never seem to be able to keep up with orders, very very slow service for a takeaway coffee. We all know Costa is over priced, a lot of the staff more interested in what they are doing after work.

Coffee fine - as one would expect from Costa. Sandwiches and the range of food, acceptable - although availability reduces as a day progresses. The staff have a peculiar attitude to service, in that they are anxious to clean up, shut off dining areas, and start closing down early although folks are still ordering and eating. That bit I do not like.

I use Costa coffee every time we visit the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Along with the nice food and coffee choices is a wonderful friendly and helpful staff who go out of there way to advise and help you . The atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxing . I would recommend Costa coffee to any one.

All Costas are pretty similar and there are cheaper options in the hospital, however the Royal is a pretty miserable place at the best of times and it's good to be able to get a decent cup of coffee, albeit at a price.

It's always busy, queues are huge! Extortionate prices!! Drinks are great but over rated in my opinion! Feel sorry for people on a budget who are not aware of the other refreshment outlets in the hospital.

Popped in for a takeaway order sandwich and was not disappointed by the variety of choices available. Reaching later int he day there were still plenty of sandwich options to choose from including hot and cold options. Great little place really enjoyed the food!

I'm generally a fan of costa coffee - the tiffin is usually great, the coffee is fine. However, on this occasion it just didn't work. Quite a limited choice of food on offer, and one of the least friendly customer teams I've come across. The toasted sandwich also tasted a bit stale frankly. There was also no decaf coffee on offer. The tiffin was lovely however. Not sure I'll visit this branch again soon - better off going to other places around the corner.

Very good staff and service especially the apple pie but my friend is gluten free but no bread so no sandwiches for her and not one cake unlike what they had in Chester who had 3 different ones .
