Standard Costa coffee shop. Service wasn't excellent, but pleasant enough.

Staff are great 👍 always so busy as well , rushed off their feet , still service is amazing 👏

Annoyed that costa have taken almond milk off the menu

Ordered two lattes and sat down. They wasn't hot enough, so took them back and they happily replaced them for hotter ones. Friendly staff

This is the Costa we visit the most as there's good service and great coffee. But there is a big but after this morning's visit. As it was sunny we decided to sit outside, it was only about 10.30 and the tables and the surrounding floor were disgusting. I realise it's customers leaving the mess, but come on Costa, you need to check them regularly!

Love this Costa coffee shop, as long as its not to busy , so always make a point of going early.

No toilet paper and coffee was burnt

Not too bad, could do with more staff as there were only two members working with one making drinks and one serving. I was waiting five minutes to be served, the drink wasn’t hot enough either. Waiting five minutes for something broadly speaking isn’t bad, however, I find waiting five minutes to be served in a coffee shop to be a long time. Yet, the atmosphere was good and there is seating outside which is a bonus too.

Very busy which definitely slowed the service down, but the coffee I had was very pleasant.

The two young ladies serving are very pleasant but more staff is needed as it took a while to get served, this was NOT their fault though, it is purely the staff to customer ratio being poor. Coffee (an Americano) is the usual Costa standard. The most annoying thing is groups of people (50 to 60yr old bracket) coming in and then taking seats etc before even ordering, limiting the option to get a seat if you don't engage in this practice.

Bit dirty inside if I'm honest. Guy sweeping the floor but leaving most of the bits behind. Seating a bit worse for wear too, rather soiled. Coffee spot on, really good.

Had a very quick break when passing. Very relaxing after a busy day!! Thanks.

This Costa is exceptional v friendly staff !!! Everyone is so efficient And its my favorite Costa I visit a lot of them. UPDATE !!!! 📢 Weare SO SO sad that Jordan is leaving this is a big mistake costa letting him go. Obviously don't know the reasons why he's decided to leave but Jordan is loved by everyone he is like a community himself the people come and expect to see him the business will definitely lose a hell of a lot of regulars once he's gone and a lot of revenue. The staff moral with drop too. A huge huge loss to the brand. He's so good with old ppl too they literally come to see him

Seriously. Can the service in this place get any slower? 25 minutes in the current record to be served. This is the last visit.

This is hands down the best Costa in the area. The food selection always has lots of great vegetarian options, most of which aren't available in the other stores in the surrounding area. Baristas are fantastic and service is always quick and cheery. Keeps me coming back week after week 🙂

Great cafe, friendly service and excellent tasting coffee, the toasties and cakes are delicious.

Not pleased with my visit to this Costa yesterday. Ordered a coffee for myself and a babyccino for my son- said no to the marshmallow for the babyccino and requested some cream instead, my little one always has cream on his babyccino, but the guy serving me added another 50p to the bill for this request, what a joke! On noticing this I said 50p extra for cream is too much so I'll leave that. I've never been charged at other Costa branches for cream on a babyccino- plus 50p extra for cream on a small 60p kids beverage is illogical! The guy serving me needs to be trained on customer service, he didn't even have the courtesy to say anything in response to my comment about the charge on the cream for a babyccino. The branch was close to closing time on what had been a very busy Sunday so I didn't have time to complain at the branch but won't be revisiting anytime soon, the worst Costa I've ever visited.

Staff were very helpful. The seating area is realistically too tight for a wheelchair though, and the loo has a giant bin blocking the transfer space. Also, they need more gluten free options - it was an under-baked brownie or nothing.

Called to meet family on a Sat afternoon and parking was very busy but able to find, the shop itself was busy non stop but able to find seating and meet up,

Short of 5th Star, echoes for me, must remember to turn my hearing aids down slightly. Seems to be an excellent meeting place for coffee. Coffee and service always high standard.

Modern, large Costa coffee shop, with very high ceiling. Not the usual atmosphere of a Costa. Although the entrance was wheelchair accessible it was difficult to move around - simply too many tables placed too close together. Chairs were very scruffy and soiled - in need of replacing or re-covering. 2 small single mixed gender toilets were not really adequate for a cafe this size

Very busy today and was served by Emma. She was smiling, very friendly and understood what I wanted to order and wasn't flustered when she asked if I had the Costa App (so I could collect some points) but I hadn't loaded the App whilst I was in the queue and she waited very patiently for me. She even jokingly remarked about Starbucks. A credit to Costa Rawtenstall for providing great customer service.

What's not to like, great coffee, range of snacks hot and cold, clean and reasonably spread out seating. Relaxing atmosphere and served by friendly staff.

Staff friendly and welcoming, coffee great, cafe was busy so obviously popular - in essence, a lovely experience.

Didn't have a lot of food stock available on my visit - didn't have what I wanted or the customer in front wanted. Place clean and space to sit. Coffee was good.

Why, oh why does it take so long to serve coffee. The end product is lovely, the standing in line is not enjoyable. No complaints on service or quality of product. It's a coffee shop and it is what they do.

We always enjoy our visits to new hall hey. The staff have become like a family as we visit 5 times a week for a variety of coffee's or chocolate. Staff are extremely friendly and the facilities are spotless. A fab position as well to relax after shopping. A 5 star plus.

Asked for a medium vanilla latte ..extra hot. Wss given a quite cool one!.. Did me another but was mainly froth..tasted good though

Possibly one of the best Costas around, great design of building relaxing atmosphere staff great! As good as it gets that I've Seen at Costa... More... Costa rocky, update a second review so sit relax enjoy the coffee. Staff very happy to help and discuss coffee or just have a quick hello, they recognise their return customers which is always nice. I love my little treat of a brew here it's without doubt my favourite Costa. Even more... Download Costa's app to allow you to take advantage of there points for every purchase which allows you to have.... A free brew. Great app great shop fabulous staff.. As good as it gets.! Some months on (December 2020...) Still the best Costa IMHO Aimee and Chloe and the store manager and all the staff are friendly happy to help. This store is still what Costa should be about, a great brew and cake and maybe a heartier snack in a friendly covid adherent environment. Quick to clear tables serving area clean toilets and overall store, it doesn't get much better than this at any Costa I visit and there's been many....! Don't get me wrong there's other fabulous coffee shops out there I know, standards are high here. Verdict OUTSTANDING...! December 2021, still outstanding lovely staff and of course a great brew all good here.

I went in on my own to potentially sit with a coffee and relax and as I was on my way the staff assumed I was taking out & gave me a takeaway cup without asking if I was staying in or taking out. Coffee was lovely though and I sat down regardless.

Disgusting.. toilet seat left up, all stained with old urine never been cleaned with bleach absolutely awful.. Goodness knows how ofton they get bleached

Coffee and muffins as good as ever but the tables were dirty. Nobody cleaned it before we sat down or the table next door. I had wipes in my bag and cleaned it myself, I was quite shocked how dirty the wipe was afterwards! Would normally have given 5 *

I love going here they always make good coffees although last time I went I asked for cream on my latte and didn’t get any - plus they were too busy for me to live up again. Anyway- good place, just needs more staff.

Great to be back and great service with excellent anti Covid measures in place.

My regular coffee shop, that's just takeouts, at the moment. The app, lets you order/pay then you just go in and collect. Or alternatively, go in and pay. 'Barista made' coffees and looking forward to sitting in again soon. Friendly staff. Highly recommended

I was looking for a reusable cup and so looked at the stand with various reusable cups displayed. They had one advertised for 8.95 with the barcode description matching that of the cup. However they scanned it on the till and stated it was 11.95 and would not honor the price clearly displayed as required by trading standards. Wont be returning if they can't even honor the prices they show for theyre items.

Rawtenstall shop has been the best throughout all of this. The staff are lovely and make it very safe. You can tell how busy they are, but always go above and beyond for customers... Absolute credit to you Costa ❤️.

A nice little Costa cafe within the retail park. Great for a stop in betwen shops, a quick meal, or even to work from somewhere different than home. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is nice and clean. They've got a range of seating, including a few outside if the weather's nice enough.

Despite social distancing it was a relatively pleasant experience

Staff are lovely but some need barista training, (staff at tesco costa are good though), cooking the milk on the steamer, filthy coffee machine, no purging or wiping the steamer, dread to think how much old milk is up that thing. Had two cappuccinos, one was ok, the other was espresso with foam on top. Other than that, lovely place, and great snack options.

Busy coffee shop on an out of town shopping centre.

Every time I come to this place for coffee and cake 🎂 there's always flies on the cakes 😝 flies buzzing round your table. Air-conditioning always freezing.

Love this place. Usual Costa Coffee as expected, staff are always friendly and a great place to sit and chill. Nice little seating spot outside, especially in the afternoon sun. Okay, you're looking over a car park but... some nice shops nearby, so it's what it is.

Coffee and food was good. Man, I perceived to be the manager was abrupt, loud and rude to his staff in front of customers. Place needed a good clean and appeared not to have enough staff. Food and napkins on floor tables not cleared. Shame really because lovely location and like I said the food was nicely displayed and coffee was good.
