Stopped here for a coffee break. Husband did have a coffee, but I opted for a hot chocolate (the limited edition black forest version). As there was no seating, we opted for takeaway and enjoyed our drinks as we wandered around the Christmas Market stalls. Staff were stressed, with long queues out to the door. They managed to get through every order as quickly as possible. Hats off to them all!

Rude staff who rather than explain at point of ordering they don't sell caramel macchiato proceeded to take money and give wrong order. When queried I was told "We're not Starbucks we don't do that coffee." Staff then made fun of me to one another, loud enough for me and other customers to hear. Extremely unprofessional and rude, never had these problems in any other Costa! Didn't get milk in other drink either although specifically had asked to have milk.

Lovely Coffee shop. Coffee was lovely but it was freezing inside. The entrance door would not close shut by itself. It was a absolutely freezing day outside. It would be quite easy to make a small entrance foyer inside it’s a huge establishment. Come on Costa get it done.

Always enjoy Costa coffee and this site, when it’s not too busy, has plenty of good seating. Staff are usually helpful and polite.

Found this Costa Coffee outlet as my twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around this part of York so we decided to drop into here and what a good time we had. This is a big Costa Coffee outlet, interior is really nice,a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer, lovely decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options ,it's a great chill out cafe. We were here on a Monday afternoon ,we ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot ,we luckily managed to get a table ,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffees. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee,it's consistent in all their outlets and their flat white's are a particular favourite of mine. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed. This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Parliament Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, open from 7am. Saturday & Sunday, open from 8am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Costa Coffee is a superb UK based chain of coffee-houses that offer a great range of drinks and dessert's and snack's and is the fastest growing coffee-house chain in the UK. This one on Parliament street is housed in a corner building and is hard to miss. With a spacious open-plan modern Interior it's the perfect place to have a nice coffee. We visited here while we where on our way to the Shambles and went in here for a few coffees.Very busy when we visited but the queue went down really fast. When here we had a flat white coffee which were brilliant and well priced. This is a superb Costa Coffee and is really easy to find as its by the Shambles.(This is my first review of Costa Coffee Parliament Street). Opening Hours. Monday-Friday-07.00-18.00. Saturday-Sunday-08.00-18.00.

Sadly didn't get a chance to taste the food - which we originally came in for - and the menus were summarily whisked away before we had a chance to order! Beers are EXCELLENT but the service was a bit mardy. Try to smile, girls!

Excellent place to eat, best fish and chips I've eaten in York, service was spot on, ordering easy and wide range of drinks. Will definitely use again when in the city.

We were passing after work and decided to pop in for a drink (something we have done once before and really liked the pub!). Even though I think we were the only ones in the barman took the time to have a chat, and the fire was on giving it a really nice atmosphere. After a pint and a packet of crisps we thought we would check out the menu, which then ended up with us both getting the lion burger! The burger was great, possibly one of the nicest pub burgers I've had in a while. The bacon wasn't anemic or stringy, the relish was good and there was a big chunk of pickle. Chips were perfect, and coleslaw was just regular coleslaw, but no complaints about that at all! We will definitely be back for more food in the future and may even venture across for the pub quiz or live music!
