Costa Coffee - Merry Hill in Dudley

The new Costa op m and s looks amazing, but everytime the Chinese women serves me, I always order hot chocolate, with cream and marshmallows but she always misses my marshmallows, I am absolutely not happy with this.

Visited Costa, lower mall for the first time today. Brilliant service from Luke, Michelle and Courtney. Will be back again.

Visited the lower mall Costa whilst on my lunch break, only wanted a toastie, took around 20 minutes to be served even though there was only one person ahead of me. It isn't the first time I've seen a massive wait, the turnover of staff is seemingly high, leaving new staff who don't seem to be getting trained properly. I've also witnessed on a few occasions a lady with white hair and glasses screaming at other staff members in front of customers. I don't think that's how you should talk to customers regardless of if they're in the wrong, nor should it be done Infront of customers. I think it's disgusting behaviour.

Costa is our usual coffee shop, but recently I feel rather disappointed by them! They seem to be quantity over quantity! I paid £4 for a nutcracker latte, with all the trimmings! Didn't get what I expected 😕 this is from the new one downstairs, staff seem half soaked and inexperienced 🤷‍♀️ don't mean to be rude but honesty is the best policy!

Husband been in line for 30mins before he lost his cool. 4xstadf on none seemed sure what thay were doing. No one cleaning tables. So people we're going or cleaning there own. Really bad.

Popped in for a coffee and a rest. The bar was empty, and when going to the counter we were advised that they did not have any milk. He thought he should have some more in ten minutes or so. We chose to wait. Milk arrived and placed my order. I had a cappuccino and my wife had a hot chocolate, and we had a Bakewell tart each. Happy with order, had a nice rest and left refreshed. The staff were chatty and helpful.

Usually slow service, but today was worse 25 min to be served, Staff rude when I explained my waiting time, was suggested I do a shift for them even though 4 behind counter, this was with half the tables empty. Staff need training on customer care.

I went into Costa today at the odeon cinema in Brierley hill and not only was my toasties not cooked properly or at all as the cheese wasn’t even melted the jerk didn’t even bother cutting them in half and didn’t even say thank you he was cold and shouldn’t even be working there I don’t even know why I paid good money for undercooked toasties I should’ve gone to a proper Costa where there employees aren’t rude and incompetent. Sorry to say this but I expected much better and feel absolutely disgusted by he’s behaviour not even a thank you just passed me my undercooked toasties and that was it I said thank you for no reason and got response felt completely blanked I mean how rude can you be. He was more concerned about the next customers order than mine and I felt so appalled and offended by he’s behaviour. If you could find out who this server was today then I want to make a formal complaint against him personally. I didn’t spend £11 on toasties for my young nieces to feel nauseous my niece couldn’t even finish her toastie. I’m worried that my nieces will have an upset stomach because of he’s undercooked toasties as they couldn’t even finish them. I want to know who the sever was at 5.25pm on 18/07/24 and want to make a formal complaint against him because as a customer I deserved better than this.

Seeing that there was some free tables myself and a friend descided to get a coffee. This will certainly be the last time we use this facility in Merry Hill. I was charged for a small amount of milk with my American @ £2.90.. However, there was no butter for the Teacakes we were then offered an alternative of Flora @ £2.30 each. Cutlery was dirty after several attempts to find 2 x clean knives. I suppose jam was an extra charge. Insult to injury!! Staff need to be trained to offer a better service.

A huge thank you to the staff at Costa in Next Merryhill who turned a minor potentially embarrassing incident into a very pleasant experience. Thanks again .

Every time I go to a Costa I have to get something replaced due to being dirty. I have had knives with actual food on them they haven't been washed at all. The tables often are dirty and I have to clean them myself. Such a shame as its the only place that does toast and that is why I put up with this.

Came in on Friday in the afternoon. Was served quickly by a girl called Cam. She was very friendly and had a bubbly personality. My drinks were served quickly too by a man who was doing the coffee and my latte was lovely. Would definitely recommend to come here.

This place has become so dirty, which is a shame. Seats tables windows floor everywhere just absolutely vile felt disgusted eating but didn’t want to waste my food. Short of staff, long ques. Better options elsewhere

Dirty establishment, staff work at a snails pace, not a single smile and clearly don’t care about their work. Food tray was dirty, tea pot and cup taken from shelves with caked on dirt and grime, fridges left open. Prioritised merry hill staff cutting in line over guests. This is my second time visiting and thought maybe it’s a one off the first time but even worse this time. Needs a serious manager going in there to sort the staff out.

Love Costa, but today was very disappointed! Was eagerly awaiting my cheese & ham toastie, then it arrived, well let's just say I didn't stay to finish my drink! Won't say I hate the place because I'm a regular, but I'll be going upstairs from now on.

The coffee is always piping hot and quite tasty. I don't get why the festive drinks are only done in a medium or smaller though, it's only the same as making all the other coffees? Doesn't make sense... But anyways, there's a good selection of treats to go with your coffee but not much in the terms of actual food.. half the staff couldn't look anymore like they can't be bothered if they tried and it took 20minutes to get a coffee with only 6 people infront of me and 5 people behind the counters. Work smart not hard! Also probably best not to put training staff in a till during busy periods, it's not exactly fair to put that stress on them. Doesn't seem well managed... Staff are friendly enough and there is a sanitise station as you enter. Atleast

Extremely slow service - but not that busy to warrant this. Empty tables cluttered with dirty cups etc Not one table was wiped when they were eventually cleared of clutter during my visit No Tissues / serviettes available No butter in stocks so unable to have any toast - NO BUTTER - I ask you!! No Hand sanitizer in the dispenser Had it been we had already ordered drinks and paid I think we would have left and gone elsewhere Service at this store has ALWAYS been slow

Very impressed with the level of service this morning from the 2 young girls by name of chloe and Chelsea, very professional for such young girls and so nice to see smiling staff that will go above and beyond to make customers happy

I was helped by a lovely girl called Ellie who was polite and helped me decide what drink to get . Would recommend coming here

If you like wobbly tables and rude staff then this is the Costa for you. The coffee was nice, so that's something.

It genuinely took approx 15 minute from arriving to actually having our order taken and there were only 2 people ahead in the queue and 3 members of staff working. Abysmal service. Getting our drinks and cake was slightly quicker but not by much

Very impressed with the cleaning at Costa today, the young man was on top of it, he was thorough, pleasant and professional. Staff very friendly

Met a friend for coffee and decided to try costa above the large Next store in Merry Hill. What a lovely place, very comfy sofas with tall lamps, and the coffee was great!! Felt so comfortable sat there, I had to unglue myself from the chair!! Will be back again!

Visited on one of the busiest days of the year, the Saturday after Christmas. Costa was the only place we could find with a free seat to get a drink and a snack, as the food court was heaving with people. Staff served customers quickly and had a friendly manner. I mentioned a spill on one of the tables to a staff member and it was dealt with efficiently and quickly and with a smile. Our food was excellent and the coffee was delicious. I was impressed with the way staff coped on such a busy day, working hard to keep shelves stocked and tables clean and customers happy.

Called in today for a cappuchino whilst shopping , it is a very big coffee shop above the Next shop.We have used this huge Costa a few times, it always seems to be busy but they manage to keep the standards high.Thanx Costa for a wonderful Cappuchino, see you again soon..!!

Called in here for a break whilst shopping. Lovely friendly staff and very clean and tidy. We were served really quickly, the drinks as always were lovely

I don’t feel these guys get the recognition they deserve. Every time I visit the centre, I always stop to have a coffee at Costa. The one on the lower mall near Debenhams has the most polite and upbeat staff I’ve encountered in a coffee shop. They are a credit to the company. So much so that I used to be a Starbucks girl and they have swayed me and now I’ll only go there. Fantastic customer service and of course lovely drinks. Always offer to help with carrying when I have the pushchair and the place is always spotlessly clean as soon as someone leaves a table it is cleared. Makes the whole experience much more than just a quick coffee, I always feel welcome no matter how busy they are.

Visited with my daughter today, Always loved Costa, and still do. But my goodness it’s time it was updated. Those poor staff are working so hard to provide a good service and good tasting coffee etc but the environment is outdated with old scratched crockery cutlery and glasses. Outdated furnishings and sadly the staff are looking tired, hair unkemp and untidy, uniforms old and worn.But because we all LOVE Costa the company sits back on its laurels and does nothing.I think I won’t be visiting until something changes. Sadly

Called in about 2.30pm today and was surprised to see that it was really empty. The lunchtime rush must have passed because you could sit almost anywhere in the enclosed area. Got served very quickly and our drinks were both strong and piping hot so we were both very happy. Thanks Costa and keep up the good work..!!

Superb place to rest from the rigours of shopping and grab a great cup of coffee and a muffin, top draw 👍
