Costa Coffee Greengates in Bradford

Well, it looks like I'm bucking the the trend with my review! I was there on Sunday and the place was an absolute disgrace! Every single unoccupied table had cups and plates from previous customers! The young man serving was brilliant......he couldn't have been more helpful.....but he was clearly under pressure due to insufficient staff! I'm actually embarrassed for whoever owns it. I won't be going back.......worst Costa I've ever been in. The lad doing the coffees was the only saving grace!

The staff at this store are fantastic, always polite professionals, and even remember my order when I go in to the store and i have missed sometimes going to this store due to work commitments. But won’t go anywhere else, but this store. it’s hard to find good customer service these days so when U do find it keep it going. i always get a full fat latte (larege )

Store has an okay Atmosphere and staff are polite but is in need of renovation. Constantly inexperienced staff with no consistency, It hasn’t been the same since the lads who worked there left, They were incredibly polite and extremely good at what they were doing and managed the store very well in busy periods. I tend to visit other costa stores now as they are far more consistent because of this.

I live near a Starbucks, and although I generally prefer Starbucks over Costa, I find myself going to Costa because the staff there is exceptional. They provide lovely service, always with a cheerful smile, and they prepare the coffee just the way you like it.Thank you :)

I come in every Tuesday morning and this morning I was served by Jess. She was so polite and friendly, even being patient with me whist my card wasn't working. She made sure to cater to my allergies properly as well and make sure there was no cross contamination. The staff are always so lovely, but Jess especially made my morning

A rare treat. The establishment was clean and tidy. We had hot chocolate and mince pies. Both were nice

Visited this afternoon. Lovely hot chocolates and sweet treats! Staff were really lovely and the customer service was great. Every time I've visited staff have been friendly and welcoming. Really enjoy coming here.

Its a Costa, all the same. For me Costa nothing special. Dont get the Costa coffee better than anywhere thing. Personal choice really. Carpark poor, not much room, half fallen down wall in middle of bays. Staff very nice.

Friendly staff, even when struggling while training

Nice place, bit expensive but good for a treat.

Staff and service are excellent but the shop itself is in need of a makeover. Old,stained chairs and bits of fittings missing.

The cafe looks run down and needs a good deep clean. Staff are very pleasant but should pay attention to the cleanliness of the workspace, especially the coffee machine area....it looked very messy and not clean enough around the area making the coffee.

Tables not cleaned inside, and trays and cups left all over, Coffee half cold, should of taken it back, but the queuing was a pain, toilets were ok.

Really like this place. Should find more time to go more often. Staff are lovely really friendly x

Was served by a lovely lady called Jess. She was so so sweet and very approachable. Totally overpriced establishment but she made up for it. Lovely experience :)

Only one person serving but she was extremely cheerful and polite. Obviously not from Leeds. 😀

Popped in whilst friend at the local hospital. Had a large coffee and chocolate twist. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Whenever I go to this Costa the staff are in-experienced and have no customer service skills. They are more bothered to talk to each other than customers. On most evening or weekend they close earlier saying they are short staffed and today Sunday 15th January 2023 they stopped serving customers at 3pm saying they are short staffed again. I sat here from 14:45pm till 4pm having seen around 11 customers coming in and then being turned away. Yet on the website and door the closing time is 5pm. This is a really poor example of a Costa coffee. They really need to improve. They are letting this area down where people would love to attend their coffee shop and have some time to themselves but staff here really need to reflect if this place is for them or not!

Clean and tidy cafe next to main road near shopping precinct. The staff were friendly and helpful, the drinks and sandwiches were hot, the usual Costa service.

Nice drink but not hot….. how can a freshly made coffee/hot chocolate not be hot. We went for the festive drinks and had been looking forward to them but very disappointed. Drank it down in one. Not what you expect when paying £8:40 for two drinks

I normally love this coffee shop. Arrived today for a peaceful coffee - to be informed they were closing early (3:30) due to unforeseen circumstances. Fair enough. However - circumstances were clearly staffing problems! Despite others having crockery - I had to have mine in a paper cup (FYI - black coffee - too hot to hold in a paper cup!!). I was then handed my lemon bun in a paper bag! I was eventually given a knife and a plate. I do not go out for coffee - spending money, when I could have it at home - and then to have to slum it!!!!! I go out for coffee for a restful experience - THIS was not!!! I do not blame the staff on duty. They were pleasant - if rushed as it was quite busy. Clearly management need to get their act together. Next time I think I will go to the new nearby Starbucks! Cleaner and smarter looking these days ( though the coffee is not as good!) Please Greengates - get your act together. I normally enjoy my visits .

Space was ok but had a bit of a queue going on at all times as they were understaffed

The coffee was delicious. I had a flat white. Good barista. The interior is a bit tired. The sofa cushions need changing.

Connor is a great manager here. A great maestro also! A credit to the store.

Get a nice coffee from here, some days it seems better than others Easy parking.

I had to clear a table. We weren't given serviettes with our food. The service was slow as someone was complaining about their sandwich not being fresh.

The service was okay, but just okay. I have had much better service with a smile at other Costa Coffees

Good service and polite staff been going to Costa all over the country but I don't agree with them charging extra for saya milk I do think they should think again about penalise people who can't drink milk

We have just bought our coffees at 10 to 5 and they came and told us to leave because they were closing even though we were sitting there with our cups and got served well before closing time

Very disappointed, haven't visited this Costa in a while. Thought I'd take my friend for a coffee, drinks we're served in takeaway paper cups and cakes in a paper bag because their dishwasher has been broken for a while. Drinks didn't come with cream and trimmings like shown on menu and cakes were stale. Not clean and tidy like other local Costa, will not be returning to this coffee shop.

Called in for a drink, friendly staff speedy service

OK coffee once it arrived, but barista was messy (coffee all over the preparation area floor) and the girl on the till made me wait to give my order until she had finished a conversation with the barista. Generally unprofessional.

Good location, nice layout and everything is marked out clearly. The only down side was people from out came in to use the toilet when they weren't customers.

Very busy and not much clearing and cleaning of tables.

Staff are nice, quick service. My son spilt a drink and the staff didn't bat an eyelid, just gave us the roll when we asked so we could clean it up (they offered but since it was our kid, it was our mess to clean). Will definitely call again next time I'm in the area.

It's a Costa, nothing too special, but good for internet access whilst drinking a cuppa
