Costa Coffee in Ceredigion

Decided to give this place another chance but same rude staff unfortunately. Very busy, but not enough staff so food and drink served in takeaway cups and containers. I go to a cafe to drink my coffee from a proper cup. If I wanted takeaway that is what I would order. When I asked for a proper cup I was told, curtly, that if I had that other customers would complain. Why hasn’t the manager put enough staff on in what is obviously a busy time of the year? I am so sad as this was once my favourite cafe. The staff, not the young girls, need to be more polite and welcoming.

I meet my friends here every fortnight and have for the last two years. The staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help and make us comfortable. If we are there at closing time they never made us feel unwelcome and discretely cleaned up around us and waited quietly. The staff have changed recently, as I think the previous ones may have gone back to university or finished university and moved on. This is where it has now changed. My friends and I did not feel very welcome at all yesterday on our last visit. The website says the cafe closes at 6.30pm but they were closing at 5pm. We can only meet at 4pm so choose this costa as it opens a little later than other cafes. I was refused a second coffee as it was near 5 then we were glared at by the staff, which made us feel very uncomfortable, and eventually told the cafe was closed and told to leave. A Barrier tape had been put up at the entrance/ exit which they were not polite enough to pull back for us so we had to walk all the way around. The woman who appeared more senior to the other staff was particularly rude and unwelcoming. I am so disappointed as this was always such a lovely Costa. I will be meeting my friends somewhere else from now on. I wish you could bring back the old staff!

Well it’s a long walk out of town! There used to be a Costa in the centre of town that always seemed very busy so no idea why they closed it down!!!

Sam was absolutely amazing, with fabulous customer service, you are simply a GEM. I certainly hope that Costa are looking after people like you that are dedicated to providing the best customer experience possible. Thank you.

We were served by Luke a few days ago. He is always pleasant and courteous. This Costa is clean and tables are cleared quickly. All the staff are well trained and pleasant. Well worth a visit!

Absolutely wonderful staff, constantly go above and beyond for us. Never let down by drinks and food. We visit multiple times a week and will continue to do so.

It has jumped leaps and bounds under the new manager. The service is great, everyone smiles, nothing is too much trouble. The toilets are spotless, the drinks hot and we feel safe. Mainly because they insist on Track and Trace (which can wind some people up) but we appreciate that they're just doing their job. First Choice with my wife and family.

What a pleasure it was to visit this Costa coffee (at Next today), two ladies both named Sam just a shear pleasure, customer service was outstanding, absolutely committed to their job and satisfying customers. Had an amazing experience at costa next Aberystwyth, the two girls serving were fabulous and very helpful. The manager Sam is full of energy and she’s very lovely to her customers. Will be back quite soon. Keep it up.

Had a lovely day today at Costa Next Aberystwyth! Sam and Sam are lovely girls and are super friendly and very helpful and thoughtful. Had my daughter with me and she was fussy about the marshmallows and before I even went up to the counter Sam (non manager) sorted it right away. Best staff turn over I’ve seen in a while! Much better than the staff I have seen there. Will be coming back very soon!!

We regularly go to Costa, Parc-y-llyn, Aberystwyth but recently we have noticed how busy the Cafe is. The most remarkable situation, though, is that it is manned , superbly by one person . Lone working can always be stressful, however , this is the opposite....

I often have a coffee here, there has been a change of staff or the existing staff are always away when I visit! That’s all I’m saying is bring Dave and Adam back! I have been here over the last few weeks and the staff...

Not a good visit today. Where have the lovely staff you had before lockdown gone. I hope they will be back. Used to call there on average twice a week but won't be returning in a hurry.
