Great services. Toilet, which is greatly appreciated

Hi, I like coming to this Costa Coffee branch, the staff are friendly. However the toilet area is disgusting. For the very first time this evening, I was going to use it, but changed my mind after seeing the state of it. I was going to wait until the staff cleaned once they get a chance to, when there are customers starting to leave, but was busting. But couldn't go ahead and changed my mind, so did not use the toilet at all. So instead, just washed my hands with soap and applied hand gel after. I don't know what some customers are thinking when they use the one toilet on the top floor, but they should really clean up after themselves for the next customer to use. I know they wouldn't want guests who visit their homes disgracing their toilet areas. I think there is another toilet on the ground floor in the branch, but can't tell if this is mainly for staff to use.

Used to be a nice place to relax with a coffee. The revamp is terrible. It's like a McDonalds or something. Uncomfortable seats, too bright. Pointless computers screens to order off. Costa is going down a bad road. And don't get me started on the regular price increases and now TEN bloody beans for a "free" drink!

I paid my coffee and after 15 minutes waiting they asked me if I still want my coffee ! ???????? And it was not busy at all ! I just left ...

Hi everyone, we went in for a cappuccino at 7.30pm, and we already see two very rude girls behind the counter, one of them busy on her cell phone who almost doesn't even say hello to us, anyway we ask them for the drink in the ceramic cup but they tell me they can only do it in a paper cup, I ask them why they answer that they are closing and can't do it, then I tell them what time you close they answer at 9pm, so I say do you have enough time to do it in the cup, then one of them says annoyed ok ok I'll do it for you but the look on her face at that moment would have killed me, anyway my wife and I have breakfast at Costa where we live in the Barnet area every morning so we leave a lot of money at the end of each month we expect better treatment, we will definitely never go back to this place and we don't recommend it to anyone, these girls should do an education course before they can be hired, their behavior was truly shameful

Like any other Costa except the music is way way too loud. Couldn't even think.

Ideal for a quick coffee or soft drink do food as well can sit outside and watch the world go by..have seating inside was busy when I was there..

Clean, bright and spacious Costa. It’s perfect whether you’re just stopping by for a quick coffee or planning to stay a bit longer to relax or work. The atmosphere is welcoming and there’s plenty of room, so you never feel cramped.

The store is bright and spacious, making it a calm place even in the city.

The place is infested with flies that hang around the table constantly. This should be a pest control issue. Service was average, however, when seated, how are you supposed to know your drinks are ready if it’s not called out? Ordered a cookie dough frappe and it was far from what I’ve previously had at other costas. Needs major improvement and an inspection from food hygiene.

Cappuccino could have had more flavor. It looked like a coffee with milk and chocolate on top. The lemon muffin was delicious...

WARNING! ⚠️They use INSTANT COFFEE for their frappes! Imagine paying £5 and to your dismay, seeing that espresso machine get used for other people's drinks but not yours. Other Costa's use fresh coffee. Why not this one? Are the staff really THAT lazy??

Oh oh. They never clean the tables after the customer leaves. The tables are quite dirty. I clean my table by myself. Plz stop chatti g and clean the tables for the customers

Very good coffee and hot chocolate and we had a delicious carrot cake. Nice upstairs area with plugs for laptops. But food on tables is only infrequently cleaned up

You can't charge your laptop here, plenty sockets, none functional. Interior design from 50's.

The lady who was served my coffee was one of the worst services I have ever had ..

Ok for a simple perch for a quick coffee out of the rain and thoroughfare.

Love staff, especially 1 of the guys , who has the ponytail, is very attentive, remember your face & your drinks, always have a smile. And I'm not a person who really writes reviews.

The atmosphere at 11:00 is very calm even though it is on a busy street. The service is fast and the treatment is pleasant. Take into account the sizes, we have ordered a medium size cappuccino and it is larger than normal.

On March 1st, around 6 or 7 PM, we went to this café to seek shelter from the rain. A woman went up to the second floor and asked us for money, then attempted to steal my phone which was placed beside me! Please be cautious and prevent pickpockets from entering your establishment... I will now patronize a competitor where security is guaranteed.

You can always rely on Costa, the best coffee and great pastries and cakes.

Staff are stuck up as if they own the place Attitude sky high, limited understanding of English language and rude not to me but to all customers Costa you charge extensively high prices at least train your workers for customer service as they have none Absolutely rubbish place no hygiene place is messy and unclean

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were chatting about unusual 50p’s and I ordered a coffee and a Millionaire Shortbread - but unfortunately I got back to the office and realised I forgot my Millionaire Shortbread. Actually they had forgotten to give it to me which I guess we were all distracted chatting about the 50p’s. Anyways, I went back to Costa and they gave me 2 slices with no charge for the other slice. Great customer service. I always use this Costa when working up in London. Well done Costa. Best Mike

Not very friendly lady at the cashier and they don't want to give glass cups for eatin (only plastic one) even if only 5pm. Cofee doesn't taste as usual with costa.

W kawiarni brudno, kawa podawana jest w papierowych kubkach, bo obsługa nie ma czasu na mycie - w kawiarni pracują dwie osoby...kawa mocno średnia, wodnista o ostrym smaku. Stoliki bardzo niestabilne... wylałem cała kawe na siebie, bo oparłem sie o stolik... co z tego, ze dostałem nową, jak miałem całe mokre spodnie... nie polecam

Its a very good experience. The team members was very good and their behaviour was very nice very helpfull as well servicing was very fast.

I drink my Hot Choco here every morning. There's this brave barista fighting a crazy high on drugs woman earlier. She's kinda short with glasses, her name starts with M ( the barista). She didn't let the crazy woman go away until the police came. I mean if she's working for me I'll give her promotion!!! I haven't seen someone like her these days. Very dedicated to her job!!!! 👏 Next time think of your safety as well Miss Barista. Costa New Oxford Street keep her. And make her the boss haha

My visit to Costa was a bad experience overall. While the service was good, the coffee itself was very disappointing and didn't justify the price. It's safe to say that Costa's coffee doesn't meet the expected quality standards, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The drinks were decent but the attitude of the 2 ladies who served us was disgusting! Maybe some customer service training would help out with their issue and a change of job if they do not enjoy it! Plenty of people out there with more energy to talk to customers!

Lovely as usual. Amazing coffee, great cold drinks and sweets, the sandwiches are not bad too even though most of them are not Halal and none of them are made with brown bread or wholegrain.

The guy serving on the morning of 30th April was great. He was proactively making hot drinking quicker than the orders were going through the till! Rather refreshing since you would typically wait in line for an age. Clean & tidy, my only negative was just the one available toilet.

Very spacious, upstairs looks very comfortable but this time we stuck to downstairs tables. Barista knows what they’re doing, creamy hot chocolate and well balanced coffee. Clean and lots of seating available with plug sockets.

Costa is my favourite cafe in the world! Try the mango passionfruit cooler it is to die for! Definitely my go to!

Attended this Costaon the 28 December 2022 as I do only a few times a month and on this occasion, I was going in not just to buy my coffee but to get coffee and food for 4 homeless people and 1 dog the male staff member was amazing and helped distribute the coffee and food as I'm in a wheelchair I didn't get his name but Costa if u read this you have a true gem of a guy working for you

We're rather partial to Costa Coffee. So happy to have some when we get back to the UK.

Ordered hot chocolate and Terry orange hot chocolate waited nearly ten mins for Terry chocolate only to be told no Terry orange have a toberone instead wasn't even asked just put on counter. Not happy.

Store didn’t secure the drinks so all spilt out in drivers bag! Waste of time and money!

Standard Costa with the usual fare. Like a lot of Costas I thought it was looking a bit worse for wear

Extremely rude baristas. Refused to give an additional cup(which ALL other Costa’s are happy to provide-I frequent several!).Staff are unable to understand that a black Americano is made with scalding hot water (no cooling milk) and might burn ones fingers as you walk in the street with it, until it cools down. The Costa pre-insulated cups do not provide me with enough insulation(I am by no means the only customer who asks for a double cup for this particular drink-it’s hot to hold for more than a few seconds). I find boiling water too hot to hold unless it is in a double layer or has the thicker sleeve that their competitors provide. Offering a thin tissue, is not sufficient(especially for a large!)Aggressively refusing to provide an adequate solution for a coffee that costs well over £3, is not satisfactory. I will not be subjecting myself to such treatment again and will use the nearby Caffè Nero instead, where I can buy my coffee, take it away and not have the cup/sleeve burn my hands as I negotiate my way through the busy London streets(without a side order of RUDE). Perhaps some people’s fingers tips are accustomed to boiling water and can withstand the sensation through thin card, for a fair amount of time - I cannot. I don’t pay to buy a coffee which burns my hands and is near impossible to hold.Costa provided extra sleeves for a brief period, a few years back and then stopped.A drink made from 100% boiling water, should not be treated the same as a drink pre-cooled with milk. I don’t want an ice cube in my drink, it alters the taste in my opinion and I didn’t pay for a lukewarm drink. I pay for the coffee that I like, which I don’t want to be uncomfortable to hold, as I go about my day. Sometimes I order green tea (without milk), which is also scalding hot in the Costa cups.

Great place to drink a tea or a coffees. They have decent prices. The atmosphere is pretty cosy and the staff is willing to help. Also the WiFi works great. 10/10 would recommend it.

Very rude staff, hassled about using different toilets making you go back and forth for a code the code and squeezing past furniture they are using to block the stairs. I ask about something on the menu and the cashier could barely be bothered to look and me and vaguely nodded no.

The manager here is extremely rude and rash with people, change your staff Costa or close this location.

Excellent service from both staff members this morning. Special mention to katerina, who went above and beyond to make sure all surfaces were clean for my dairy allergy. Would highly recommend... Best of all delicious coffee

Very disappointed that I wasn't able to get a toastie as their oven apparently was closed 40 minutes before closing time.

I had a lovely hot chocolate, comfy place, staffs were kind. Just the toilet was absolutely disgusting.

Staff really Unhelpful. I lost my card and I wanted to cancel it to avoid any one to use it. They completely ignored me. I won't have another coffee in Costa.

Went yesterday for a quick drink was told at counter they were shutting but there were no signs up to say this . Both staff were rude . Got drinks and sat outside . Sign said they shut at 7pm and this was 6 30 pm . Member of staff came out and said I told you we were shutting. I replied I got that but they should have put a sign on the door before people entered . About 15 people had tried the door while it was shut . The second member of staff came out glared at me and said I told you . Now I'm not saying they shouldn't shut early but clearly put signs up before customers enter the shop . The staff clearly didn't want to be there and it showed

This is the second and last time I will be visiting this costa. Because both times I have seen a man yell at their coworkers. Not fight, not quarrel, YELL. I was mortified. First time I thought you can never do this to your coworkers but what can you as a customer even say in these situations and you dont know the story... but this is the second time i have seen this, i dont know if this man is a manager or not but this is completely unacceptable way to behave. I will not be going to a place where workers are treated this way. And as a customer I felt sad for the barista and honestly unsafe for myself. Absolutely horrible experience.

Find any Costa Coffee with M&S food options. There will be gluten free dessert bars and cakes that come pre packaged it’s amazing

The drinks were fine but the whole place seemed very sticky,stained and just dirty. I'd wish the place serving food and drinks would be a clean place.

I love Costa ! Awesome Coffee and Friendly staff! Prices are reasonable.

We popped in here for drinks and toasties before visiting the British Museum. Very good and friendly service and this Costa's tables were quickly cleaned and cleared which was good to see as a lot of them have let standards slip again since Covid cleaning and sanitizing standards were relaxed. We like the brand and the drinks and toasties were good. The only problem we had was from smoke coming in through the open front doors as there are smoking tables right outside. One inconsiderate Chinese chap even stood right in the doorway, inches from the door, smoking away. My wife and I are both Asthmatic and we both had to use our inhalers.

Nice Costa as always sadly understaffed but the two people working where working their socks off !

Asked for a latte with almond milk (it says at the door that all the plant base milks are free of charge) however she charged me and when I asked she said that in this store they always charge. She was rude when I asked about it and couldn’t care less. Never again

I tend to use this branch when visiting the British museum. Convieient and helpful service not to busy compared to pre pandemic.

Faccio colazione quasi tutti i giorni qui ma il personale sempre scortesi e di mal umore SEMPRE!!! Che ti rovina la giornata dalla mattina presto, mai che ti faccia un sorriso o ti risponde pure male, e si dice che Londra sono molto cortesi NON È MICA VERO!!!!!!! Cambiate personale perché è brutto così. Anche io ho fatto barista per un paio d’anni a Milano ma ero sempre sorridente con tutto quel lavoro che c’era da fare. I nervi che se gli tenga per loro ai clienti bisogno sorridere. Grazie

A standard Costa with plenty of seating and fast service.

Coffee and atmosphere was good. Toilets were filthy.

Minimal queue time. Staff were polite and friendly. Ordered 2 lattes & a hot chocolate. All were nicely made.

Nice place to stop for a coffee

Peaceful and clean. Very helpful staff who seemed pleased to serve you. I was overcharged and they corrected their mistake swiftly and politely. Lots of seats and the upstairs section was a restful space.

Presi due flat white decaffeinati , non particolarmente buoni. Per andare in bagno serve un codice che viene indicato sullo scontrino. Bagno sprovvisto di sapone per lavarsi le mani ( di questi tempi !!!), appendi cappotto/borsa rotto.Personale non troppo cortese. Nel centro di Londra si potrebbe fare di meglio.

Ordered medium Americano with milk & Hot Chocolate...to drink in.Gave them in papercups so I said to put them in proper cups(please)...proceeded to throw them into the cups,splashing everywhere..stood waiting & then rudely asked what did I want(I was waiting for the milk for my hubby's Americano).Went to sit outside(hubby was smoking)only to be told its a health & safety issue to sit outside & ordered us indoors.Went to drink my Hot Chocolate...it was cold & barely tasted of anything.If you want bad attitude with your coffee then come here....if not AVOID.Nearly ruined my day out with the hubby(a rarity)with their rude sarcastic behaviour.Rather go to Starbucks.
