There are two ladies who work in here who are unfailingly polite, cheerful, unobtrusive and friendly. The reason for my adding of an extra star from my previous review is because of them. However, it seems that this branch of Costa attracts young male staff who are loud, use audible bad language and are over familiar (I object to being called ‘mate’). When I come to a Costa, I am expecting/hoping that I won’t be disturbed or distracted by very loud conversations, lots of ‘f’ words and inane ‘banter’.

Staff were so friendly and even bought my drink over to me. The only criticism I have was that a customer with a dog had it sitting on one of the chairs. Whilst a dog lover. Feel it’s unhealthy and I’m sure some customers may not want to sit on a chair covered in dog hair or those who have allergy to fur and as a place that serves food not hygienic I feel dogs should not be allowed on the furniture otherwise a lovely place

I usually love a Costa Coffee but I’m afraid I avoid this one in Marlborough. Nothing wrong with the staff or food/coffee but the place is filthy. In my opinion it needs gutting and a full revamp. It’s very cramped when you go in and the back area up the steps is the most dirty and unappealing. Sorry Costa but I will go to the Coffee Lab or Cafe Nero instead.

Really lovely service here, a man and lady on the till, brought the tea and coffee over, tried the new autumn drink and a couple toasties because it was freezing outside, lovely and warm inside, come on down

We stopped here for a quick break and lunch on our way to Devon. We are regular customers of Costa when we are out and about and know what to expect with their food and drink. The staff were friendly and pleasant enough but, as is the case with too many Costas, there is apathy when it comes to clearing and cleaning tables. If the several tables had been cleared and cleaned, instead of being left to pile up everywhere, I would have given a full five stars.

We had a bacon roll, a pain au raisin, which was re heated slightly for me, a latte and hot chocolate. Always good, but it's the service from one particular lady who's name I've forgotten that is do good.

Not good for dogs or their owners as they're not allowed. Otherwise fine

Shoutout to the 3 anime enthusiasts that served me today. The coffee and service was top tier. Those kind of interactions will positively change someone’s day. Keep it up!

Great place to get a quick coffee, nice pleasant staff and the so itself was very clean visiting how busy it was. Unfortunately most of the toilets were out of action which is a slight negative to what is otherwise an outstanding outlet.

Coffee was good here. Needs some TLC inside looks a bit run down a fresh coat of paint and dusting. Couldn't get a signal inside there also 🙆‍♂️. Staff very nice and friendly. 👍

Always busy , staff is friendly. If you have to wait its worth it . Clean all round even if sometimes tables arnt cleared off yet , you know staff will get round as soon as a moment arrives .

I have been going here for years, the coffee is great, the staff jump through hoops to make sure you have the best experience and the best drinks. They also remember their customers and ask how you are, how comforting, especially if you've had a naff day and you need a pick me up.

Super staff, so attentive, so careful and helpful regarding allergies and keeping me safe!! Brilliant, I couldn't go anywhere else for service or the coffee; it's always such a vibrant, welcoming venue, there's always a positive vibe! Great start to the day! Thank-you 😘

I love Costa coffee but I can't have it anymore because they have changed there soya milk, the new soya milk is discusting

I treat my younger sister to a hot chocolate here on Fridays, and have a good catch-up with my friends on Mondays. Incredible customer service and lovely hot chocolate ☕

Very friendly place superb coffee

Quite a small Costa with limited seating (we found four tables towards the very back of the shop which were quiet and comfortable). But the staff were helpful and very friendly plus you know what you are getting from a Costa. Will stop there again if in the area.

The staff at this branch were so efficient and friendly - I stopped off for a break but ended up staying longer because the place had a lovely atmosphere and I was able to do a little writing in peace and with good coffee.

A great Costa in Marlborough with a nice, cosy, local feel to it. Great place to relax and grab a bite. Current government COVID-19 restrictions for Wiltshire still means you can eat/drink inside as long as you are checked in on NHS app!

I order via the app most days and it saves time. While walking home from a school run I fire up the app, pick a drink and pop in to the collection point where I'm usually greeted with friendly staff. Honestly a great atmosphere to get and drink your coffee

I just wanted to say, many thanks to the staff at Costa Coffee.We were visiting the area due to having our car serviced.The garage dropped us in Marlborough, but it was a very cold day.We found Costa Coffee and explained that we were needing to waste a couple of hour's away, as it was to cold to be wondering around.They couldn't have been more accommodating and kind than they were.Well done to all of them.

I realise that we are all under pressure as a result of COVID but being "told off" by a member of staff for sitting in a chair in the window, attempting to socially distance, was not a very pleasant first visit to this Costa. How was I to know that the area where the chair was put was unsafe? There was no signs or barrier to say not to sit in the area and I don't think the fact that the chair had no table with it is sufficient to keep members of the public away from apparently an unsafe wooden floor above a cellar! Costa please make it clear people can't sit there!

The staff are lovely and are happy to help you out. I came in after a hard search searching for COSTA. The staff where quick to finish up other orders and Immediately. I am so excited to use my COSTA voucher at this COSTA again!!!!! Thanks to the staff for making a scrummy meal.

Family friendly atmosphere, very understanding of allergies and will quite happily show you the ingredients if they are not sure. I wont take my daughter anywhere else for a "normal drink" as I know great care is taken to try to avoid cross contamination, as long as they know about the allergy and within reason of the chain shop set up. Will always support my local costa as long as it is staffed and run by the same caring friendly people as they are the ones who make this coffee shop stand out from the other coffee shops in marlborough and stand out from any other costa.

I don’t know how it’s possible but even with the almost flawless service across all the costas into which I pop (almost daily!), Marlborough somehow stays a cut above the rest. Always inviting, always space inside for a quick stop, and always a perfect latte with a smile. I don’t think I’ve seen a better managed Social-distance layout either; with sugars handed in bags & tongs used throughout to ensure a ‘clean’ service every time. As with all things, it’s the team that makes the experience and this team is always on point. Great place, great coffee and my favourite costa in the country! Thanks Marlborough team!

I visited this Costa today whilst visiting this stunning area & ordered myself a large cappuccino, unfortunately after it was made I was told they were closing in 10mins time making me wish I'd of ordered a take away!I sat down at the only clean table available, but unfortunately my drink was extremely weak & tepid in temperature, maybe to make me drink it quickly, who knows, there was a very loud staff member banging about too so quite an uncomfortable experience for me on this occasion.

Disgusting, dirty tables unclean and toilettes filthy, dirty and smelly. Don’t know when last cleaned. With the virus thought would have been clean with bacterial spray etc. Do not expect A place in Marlborough to be like this. Young staff and no management. Whole place needs a facelift. most important issue to me is the dirt have they not heard of cleanliness and what the country trying to avoid infection spreading. Obviously not been bulk buying !!!!!!!!!

I mean, cleanliness? That's a big no no. Every single one of the tables had been full of used cups and glasses. Had to pile more onto that table to be able to sit down and staff look like they'd rather be anywhere else but here!

Mientras estaba visitando Malborough decidìa que necesitaba un cafè y no podrià un mejor lugar ir. Delicioso cafè y bastante sofisticada aunque estaba muy ocupado sin embargo ahora es mi lugar favorita en Malborough. Fantastico.

A fairly small Costa but with sufficient seating arranged in different ways for groups, pairs and individual customers. As it is at one end of the High Street it is often not that crowded which is good if you just want a quick coffee. All the usual Costa products on offer, but what stands out is how helpful and friendly all the staff are and how welcome they make you feel.

If you have been to a Costa you know what the coffee and food is going to be like, but one thing this Costa has going for it is a very friendly and professional team of employees. When I visited there was a lot of friendly banter, but even so we were served quickly and the food and drinks we asked for came quickly. Seating is limited but there are a couple of tables and comfy sofas at the back which are nice. WiFi is available (via O2) and newspapers were scattered around (which I presume was deliberately done for customers). Happy to enjoy a coffee here again in the future. There is a loo on site and this was clean.

After walking round the town decided to have a snack and refreshment.Walked in and was quicky greeted by the staff,who were helpful and nothing was to much bother ordered are drinks,and they bought are food over to us.Food was hot and tasty,drinks hotPlace was tidy and clean.Would use this one again

Costa Cafe located at the top of Marlborough town, just before it turns uphill out of town. Great location and a good stop if you're at the end of one end of the market. Food and drink is of standard Costa Quality, Standard and Pricing. Cafe layout itself is very unique and there are several small rooms for seating the further to the rear of the cafe you go. This makes the cafe more snug and warm than large Costa's in the central cities. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the conversation between them and the locals make this a more friendly environment. Only x1 toilet available for clientele though.
