Costa Coffee in County Durham

Meant to close at 7pm closed well before 7 very disappointed

Always really, really busy but the staff are efficient and friendly and the tables always seem cleared and cleaned.

Love a daily Costa.. Sometimes more. Brilliant friendly staff and always ask after me since recent knee replacement

I'm in a wheelchair and when the staff noticed me at the door they came over and opened the door. After I ordered they brought my order to the table.

Always very busy but manage to get a table. Coffee and cake were lovely. As we were nearly finished I saw a young mother with pram waiting for her coffee and toastie. She was then handed her tray as she struggled to hold the tray and manage the pram 2 members if staff walked past her without helping. I got up took her tray from her and walked with her to the table. Have a bit of thought. Costs nothing to help Costa.

Often use Costas, always tastes good, staff often more friendly than not, love the cheese and ham toasties, highly recommend Costas, any time of day and any place👍👍

Lovely atmosphere, quiet but not enough room or tables.

Disgusting toilets very few staff , too busy fulfilling orders on the app so instore customers had to.wait far too long to be served ...

More staff needed, tables always need clearing and long queues to be served.

Costa in Bishop Auckland is always a great place to go. We go at least once a week as a treat.

Theres always something wrong here, differ in opening times due to whether its staff shortages or equipment going wrong

3 of us came in for a coffee. Parking was OK but tends to be busy as it's on a retail park. Service was reasonably quick, seating was busy with 1 or 2 tables free and coffee was great.

Great coffee and warm welcome. Everyone who had food enjoyed it, too.

No cups or plates, sit in and get a takeaway cup, doubled the cup so really a wast, got a toasted sandwich which cam on a cardboard square instead of a plate, and no cutlery

Costa in Bishop Auckland is poor on so many levels. The air conditioning is set far too cold. A few days ago I witnessed an older couple having to cancel their order and leave because the environment was so cold it made them uncomfortable. I too felt very cold. Although the staff are very friendly, they should be alert to their customers' needs. Instead of saying "OK, we will turn it off or set it at a more comfortable temperature" the couple had no choice but to leave. Unnecessarily cold air conditioning uses energy and costs money that Costa passes on to the customer. In this day and age with climate change it is unforgivable. Just turn the air conditioning down. It's not rocket science! As for the coffee, it is far too bitter and not hot enough. No amount of adding extra hot water to an Americano can rescue it. I can see why so many people drink latte - the milk masks the awful taste of the low-quality coffee. And finally, the place is far too noisy - the noise from behind the counter echos all over the premises. There are tried and tested means of reducing noise, so why not adopt them. Costa in Bishop Auckland is an all-round unpleasant experience. I am voting with my feet and never setting foot in there again.

One of the better Costa coffee's, like the fact they now sell M&S food, takes them a notch. Staff always friendly and pleasant despite always being under pressure because of the volume of customers. They deserve recognition.

Good food. Gr8 staff. Food.could have been toasted both sides for a toasted.sandwich. on the whole nice bit prices. Toasted.sandwich 2 latter and sausage bap. £20......

It was a quieter day on Monday after Easter. The staff were courteous. We had cappuccino and hot chocolate.

So disappointed in Costa lately. I'd rather get from a Costa machine than the coffee in the cafes. It just tasted better. The batistas always burn the coffee or its too hot. In fact McDonald's and Greggs do a way better coffee. So, not sorry.

We didnt have food today, but it was a friendly place for a cuppa and staff were patient (my granddaughter ordered a cake despite being told no), without me asking they did a refund (I thought I paid for the drinks only). So they were honest too, thank you costa for your understanding with naughty kids.

I like this Costa, it always feels friendly and has a good atmosphere. There's usually a lot of selection for food too.

The acoustics are painful in here. Doesn't make you want to linger or have a second cup. Tables needed clearing and wiping down.

Costa does what it says on the tin. Wherever we go they provide what we want at the time.

Just walked into costa Tindal, to be met with, we're closing in 20 mins, chairs already on table's!! Asked if we could sit outside? Told no!, About turn, walked out aying 'wel keep it! We only wanted a cup of coffee each (two of us) Walked over to star bucks over road, to be met with a smile and what can I get you? Lovely guy (Diego) great service, will be back!

Outstanding service. I'm hard of hearing and forgot to put my hearing aids in this day. I couldn't hear what Angela, the lady who was serving me was saying and asked her to repeat herself quite a few times. This didn't phase her at all and she was very patient and remained calm and friendly throughout. I'd usually be very embarrassed but she made me feel at ease. Thank you very much. Very friendly, smiling staff, clean store.

Not a lot of choice, coffee could have been hotter, and though there weren't many infront of me, it took ages, I was on the verge of ask for a chair while I waited.

Short wait due to it being busy but that's to be expected. Staff were really friendly and calm which I really appreciated (helps the anxiety), especially given they had a lot of customers. Drink was lovely as always and enjoyed it in the outdoor seating area.

With an updated and seasonally themed drink and cake selection it is a great place to rest those weary shopping feet. At peak times you will queue but the staff are friendly.

I’m a regular here and the service is top notch! The staff are always friendly, nice relaxing atmosphere and the coffee is second to none!

Walked into costa bishop Auckland at 3:15 and lady sweeping floors half the stores chairs on top of the tables as if they were closing, and they don’t get put back down again, I passed much later, this seems to be the norm with this cafe now, chairs being noisily dragged passed you with no concern for the customer, considering they close at 7pm, this behaviour is totally unnecessary, you feel unwelcome, the staff can be rude to customers which I’ve seen, is there any management around, it never used to be run this way, what a shame, good point is Starbucks is just across the road, costa need to waken up and stop treating customers in this disrespectful manner, didgusting!!!

Only thing that let them down was parking

Visited this afternoon, not too busy, able to get a seat easily. Service quite quick, no issues. Place looked quite clean and tidy, no dirty pots about. Staff helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my flat white coffee ☕

Love going to Costa at Tindale crescent, Bishop Auckland. The staff are very helpful, kind, polite and especially friendly.

The Price of a Coffee is Now out of Hand; But My Deserving Wife thinks 'Their' Brew is Grand. So for 'Brownie Points' and Because I Care; I Save Up, THUS We Occasionally Pop in There!

Said it was open till 8pm, shut at 7pm, girl just looked at us in the shop behind the counter and laughed, Garbage customer service, I wouldn't give them 1star

Staff behind the till friendly but goodness me can the staff on the floor drag those chairs (tidy up) to make it obvious when you finish your coffee to shift and leave! So I stayed longer and ne and my mate had a second coffee

Staff extremely friendly, make a visit a pleasure. Absolutely love Costa hot chocolate with soya milk and their pastries are mmmmm.

Staff friendly, premises clean however the only drawback for myself and my daughter was the lack of vegan cakes/snacks. It wouldn't stop us from calling in for a coffee in the future but a variety of vegan food would have scored higher!

It’s a Costa! You know what to expect when you walk through the door. Recently remodelled, fresh surroundings with outside option too. Polite notice about some shortage but not exactly what? Current times with lower transport supply Website says 8pm but actually 7pm
