Really lovely visit....had vouchers to use and the ladies helped me sort those out. Not too busy but lovely atmosphere with people chatting....very friendly place. Xxx

Coffee and cake were as expected in a Costa. Could do with clearing and cleaning tables a bit more often, especially when there seemed to be plenty of staff standing around chatting. Not the best experience

Camt really say much about this Costa is Costa, it's hot or cold drinks, and cakes Tec, I like the Mac and cheese bit i do think they are over priced with their cake slices etc, the toasties are normally soggy and cooked on one side even when you ask for it to be cooked on both sides, I'm not a Costa fan? Sorry Costa

Great place to meet friends a day catch up. All the staff here go the extra mile and are friendly and approachable.

Called in for a coffee and a BLT sandwich as there was not a lit of choice left in the cabinet. The sandwich was dated for that day however, the bread was very dry and the sandwich bland. The bacon had no flavour and could have done with more mayonnaise. Not up to the usual Costa standards.

I enjoyed my coffee and snack. I just feel the place is very dark and would benefit from better lighting and brighter decor.

Happy staff, polite service, clean and tidy tables.

The new maple Hazel frappe is gorgeous and it will be the only drink that I order while it remains available.

This Costa is absolutely fantastic the staff are Epic especially Lydia she is super friendly extremely knowledgeable re her job all the customers love Lydia she always engages in conversation whilst serving them Nothing is too much trouble A credit to your company

Great coffee as always & the staff are super friendly.

We arrived at ordered 3 coffees - one small latte, one medium vanilla latte and a medium soya latte. We ordered with a member of staff called Chloe according to her name badge. Chloe then repeated the order to her poor colleague who made the drinks Chloe had told her, however Chloe had told her the wrong order. Chloe had also missed a cake off the order neither of these things where an issue and we asked if we could have the other cake we paid and asked for a takeaway bag to be told by Chloe we should have asked for a takeaway bag before we ordered the cake. It felt very condescending and childish. Chloe then proceeded to berate the other member of staff for making the coffees wrong despite this being what Chloe asked for. We felt truly sorry for the other member of staff. As we we’re about to leave I asked for a takeaway cup as one of the members of our party didn’t finish their drink to be quizzed by Chloe on what drink of ordered and when before I was given a takeaway cup.

It's a coffee shop, fun fact - Costa Coffee offers a higher caffeine count per cup than Starbucks Pret and Nero coffee, so if you need a hit - Costa is the place to go.

Popped in for a coffee before shopping. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Coffee was what you expect from Costa. The lighting was dimmer the further into the cafe you went, not inviting at all so we ended up sitting by the window. The decor is showing signs of age with wear and tear on some of the chairs and fittings. If it wasn't a Costa I think people would go elsewhere, having said that, don't take your paying customers for granted. Could do a lot better.

Great visit. Had some hot food and it was very nice. Food and drink was good and the service was excellent. All in all a great visit.

Apparently it's more important to empty the bins before serving anyone. Also, everywhere we tried to sit was either blocked off with chairs, or we were told "you can't sit there, we're cleaning". This was 2 hours before closing, but they acted like we'd arrived 2 minutes before closing. Such a poor experience, won't bother again and that way they can keep it pristine and clean without the inconvenience of customers.

Its ok overpriced! Toilet are aporeling needs a good clean.

Costa in the Atlantic Village is staffed well, service and coffee excellent. The store is looking a little tired compared to some .

Awful! The tables are old and scruffy. The seating is dirty, stained and worn. General air of decay. The whole place needs a complete renewal. Coffee and hot chocolate were mediocre, the cake was pale and under baked. Only went there because the nice place opposite was closed.

Always a pleasure to drop in for a Costa when you are in the shopping centre, polite, friendly staff and of course, great coffee!

We are so glad we found the Costa Coffee in Bideford. The staff are beyond friendly, helpful & kind to us & others we see on our frequent visits. Hot, well made drinks & always served with a smile. Katie & Kat are two of the best retail staff I have encountered. I hope the mangement team are grateful & acknowledge their hard work.

Food and drink were good as always, to Costa standards. However, on a quiet afternoon, you’d expect the tables to be cleaned. Instead at 1/2pm in the afternoon the only meme bet of staff really working was Emma. The other 2 were stood behind the counter faffing, making themselves drinks and on their phones! Emma was running about like a headless chicken but the other 2 let her down.

It was a dull morning so visited the shops and called here for a drink and t cake. Was very quiet and we decided to drink inside. The drinks and t cakes were the nice as usual. place was clean, staff were very friendly

Visited this today and extremely disappointed. The staff were rude and patronising as we tried to check in using the NHS app. God forbid anyone worse than us in technology! These girls really put me off visiting again!

As we had not been to Atlantic Village for years, we decided to pay a Visit... We wish we had NOT bothered... The Shopping Complex is Extremely 'Tired'... No Big Names here!!!! After a walk aroind we decided to have a Coffee.... 'COSTA'.... Extremely Overpriced and Definitely Overated... The Staff had a 'Couldn't Care Less' attitude and the Coffee was One of the Worst I have ever had... Weak and Warm!!!! This Costa is 'Very Tired' and needs Attention as does the Staff Training.... Go to The Cornish Pasty Shop/Cafe opposite... Much Much Better.... I would NOT advise anyone to go to this COSTA!!!!

Visited today 7th September with my daughter, had a cappuccino with a goats cheese and sweet pepper toast. Very tasty, my daughter had hot chocolate and chicken salad wrap. Staff attentive and very nice offered to carry my sandwich for me as we was sitting outside. I declined but I thought he was very thoughtful

Went to meet a friend for coffee was left waiting for my coffee has staff was talking to each other and did not feel that the staff was not all that friendly.the store was clean and the coffee was ok but staff needs to be for aware on customer service.

Visited this site while shopping at Atlantic Village, nice size Costa, outside seating as well, clean, tidy and friendly staff, usually Costa Coffee, but nice bright, airy atmosphere, clean toilets.

There isn't a great deal worth going to Atlantic Village shopping centre any more now that M&S outlet and other shops have gone but the Costa cafe is still turning out decent coffee with good service. Well worth a visit if you are passing.

A short review as really nothing much to add. Nothing out of the Costa ordinary. Expensive food, good coffee, typical Costa decor. Friendly staff though who managed to clear the tables pretty pronto (which is unusual!), so a nice bonus. Better than the place the other side of the courtyard, despite the food prices (in both places)......

This Costa is very big, with lots of space for my disabled parents to get around. A lovely cup of coffee, and a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and other foods. The noise level was good compared to other Costa Coffee shops, and an experience I will definitely repeat. The fact that you are also surrounded by discount shops in a small outlet village, makes this a lovely afternoon out.

We visited here for coffee just before it was closing but we were still met by friendly staff. Had two Christmas special coffees that were delicious. Nothing to eat on this occasion but they had a lovely assortment as always. Worth a visit.

We always order the largest latte from Costa, it's not the strongest but tastes good and is very large. Great surroundings and relaxing, spoilt by a customer who thought that their child playing ball against the glass doors was acceptable, neither staff or the parent said anything! Not really the fault of costa, just a sign of how disrespectful people are becoming. Will visit again

Stopped here for drinks. we like costa and the coffee was ok. Was very quiet, Staff were a bit quiet and looked fed up. Toilet was a bit smelly. Plenty of seating inside and out

Visited Costa at Atlantic Village today. Usual fair on sale. Nice atmosphere and toilet was clean and tidy. If you like Costa and your at Atlantic Village it's worth a visit.

Staying locally at the Premier inn we used Costa Coffee for our breakfast and can recommend the Almond Croissants to go with your coffee.The staff were friendly and although there could be a queue we hardly had to wait to be served as the Barista was very efficient.

On arrival at Atlantic Village we came across this Costa and went in. There was plenty of seating and the staff were friendly.

Stopped off for a coffee one weekend morning, and planned to stay for an hour to get some work done. Staff were welcoming but not great at dealing with questions (I asked about product pricing). Food could have been hotter (panini). Good range of sandwiches and paninis. Had a festive mint hot chocolate which was delicious and perfect for the cold afternoon I visited. WiFi was patchy and not that useful for working. Managed to get a table to sit in, however some tables are on top of each other. Could imagine this would be annoying with two separate conversations going on next to one another. Not as cosy as some Costa outlets.

Called in here for a quick coffee. What can I say, Costa is Costa. there's little difference no matter where you go. the only real difference is the cleanliness & staff. Here it was average. I did notice that there were tables that needed clearing when I walked in & despite only having a handful of customers, the tables still needed clearing when I left. The staff seemed more interested in talking than clearing.

Coffee great as with any Costa outlet. Plenty of seating and good atmosphere. Service good was good with good array of cakes and pastries.

We had lunch which consisted of two cheese and tomato toasties, and washed down with a latte and a Cortado. Great food and coffee which we have come to expect from Costa outlets. The staff were good and there was a good atmosphere in the place

Visited Costa today whilst meeting family, service was at best poor and pathetically slow. The dado rails by the seating area were thick with dust, this place needs a good clean. If the eating area is this poor what is the preparation area like?

Our visit was to meet up with friends. The service was prompt and a the coffee/tea/hot chocolate/latte were nice. Centrally located within Atlantic Village.

Always friendly, quick service, and good coffee and snacks. Baristas often offer to carry trays when I'm here with my toddler who has disabilities.

4 staff working today and none of them seem to know what day it is let alone how to pour a coffee. My wife had her hot chocolate slammed down on the desk spilling it all over the saucer and didn't get the marshmallows she paid extra for. The manager just brushed it off and said 'oh well be happy it's christmas'!I would be happy if we'd simply got the drinks we'd paid for!Bad attitude from the manager has clearly allowed the staff to think they can do the same.

Stopped in for a quick coffee but stayed for an extra cup along with a slice of their delicious cake, so many to choose from. Sat outside in the sunshine, could have been a spring day instead of December 1st. Very pleasant place to relax and just people watch.

Like all Costa Coffee shops - Good Coffee, bit over priced, but so are all the other branded coffee shops. nice place to have coffee. but real complaint about Costa coffee shops are they dont have enough Staff to deal with the demand, leaving so many tables with dirty stuff on them for ages and ages. The staff seam to not worry about clearing them.The sandwiches are really not worth the money, over priced and so are the cakes over priced. But must say the cakes are quite nice. better the the sandwiches. i do Visit Costa quite a lot, but only for coffee, Not Sandwiches, and sometimes the odd cake.

Called into this Costa on a visit to Atlantic Village.Despite this being a good sized Costa with a large outside seating area, there was only two staff behind the counter and no other staff seemed to be working.The two staff that were working were courteous, polite and efficient.I ordered two toasted sandwiches, coffee and tea.When the sandwiches arrived, one was hot, the other was lukewarm.Considering that they were fairly quiet when we arrived, this was clearly not acceptable.Bearing in mind the location, this Costa should really be offering top quality service.Tables were left not cleared and the most important thing that the staff seemed to be discussing was in which order they were going to take their lunch breaks.

This establishment has plenty of seating and is an ideal place to meet before, during or after shopping.

This is by far the best Costa cafe that I have visited. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful, the place is spotless and the toilets are always clean. There is a spacious outside area. Tables are cleared promptly. The high standard has been maintained consistently over the year that I have been going there.

Costa coffee is Costa coffee, however it is the way it is served, the cleanliness of the establishment and the quality of the staff that counts. This branch has it all. Always a welcoming smile when we visit and it does not matter how long the gaps between visits, we are always welcomed as regulars and most of the staff even remember our regular orders. The restaurant is always clean and the food on display well presented. Worth a visit if you are going to Atlantic Village. The only criticism is the new furniture. Who bought the chairs? Too uncomfortable but maybe that is the point to stop lingerers?

Ordered a skinny hot chocolate, staff tried to serve a normal hot chocolate, i wonder how often this happens due to staff not listening to their customers.

Espresso isn't the best in the world, but in England is difficult to find a good single espresso, but cake and the others things are good.

Don't expect anything else other than Costa coffee. Because that's what is it. Staff are generally friendly. I personally prefer my coffee non-chained.

Not one for chain premises but I've visited here as gf enjoys the coffee and to be honest the coffee was nice and a little slice of cake to aid the shopping

The service may be a little slow but the wait is worthwhile. Our barista was friendly and chatty and made the best coffees we have had in any Costa coffee shop and I am a regular customer of their places. The place was clean, tidy and a Godsend to this location.

During my last visit a few days ago this coffee shop was not very busy at about 10.00am and so there was ample room to sit in comfort. I need a mobility scooter and was able to easily take the scooter inside. The service was excellent, and the coffee and toast was good. It was becoming much busier by the time we left but there was no threat of becoming overcrowded and in good weather there is plenty of outside seating.
